Great local venue with different events happening all of the time. Exactly what the area needed. I've been there to a rave, a supper club and a wine tasting event and had a blast each time. Make sure to check out what's on before you go.
There's also a permanent cafe and an tasty authentic pizza place in the yard.

Huge venue, lots of open space. We visited on a Christmas market day. There wasn't a lot of stalls, a bit bare, but all selling lovely handmade gifts. Very friendly stall holders. Café was situated just at the entrance. Looking forward to visiting sometime in the warmer months.

Open Mike night last night, campfire, top acts and a very welcoming/friendly bunch of people. Pizza place is a welcome addition (check out the Aranchini) and the warehouse space makes me want to jump back into the 90’s. Wink wink.

First of all, I am very pleased to see the staff represents the diverse population of Waltham Forest. The staff are very friendly and polite although the coffee shop was busy. I also noticed the manager or the senior member of the team was training someone and she was treating her very nicely with a smiling face. I really liked seeing this approach and the same lady prepared my espresso which was really nice. Top place with very nice atmosphere and staff!

Large coverted factory or event space doing brilliantly to support small businesses and local vendors. At the time of this post the space is new so still being developed but has huge potential. The people running the place are lovely and there's a Caffè, bar and other food vendors. Worth a visit

Perfect venue with a GREAT team of lovely people working here! I hired the space as a blank canvas warehouse for my music video and we really were able to transform the place!!! Honestly it was perfect and they were so accommodating from beginning to end! ❤️✨

I've been here with the family for a few events and it's always great. The space is generous and I never feel awkward with a buggy.
Great pizza place and cafe attached, staff have only ever been super friendly.
I find it's better to follow what's on via their Instagram page as the website doesn't list everything.
A great venue and community hub which is always buzzing with activity, just what the area needed.

Great new local cafe and events venue. A lovely atmosphere whether its a coffee and cake in the day or a wine in the evening - The pizzas on offer on a Thursday evening are delicious. Plus it's dog friendly which is great! 🐕
Looking forward to seeing what events are coming up and visiting the new warehouse space.

Patchwork has singlehanded rejuvenated the area. Suddenly the corner has a more community feel. Great Cafe and multi use huge spaces at back. The Joint owners are so enthusiastic and open to ideas about how the space can develop. Hope Patchwork’s is a feature for many years to come.

Hosted our sons 3rd birthday in the back room. Such a great space. Everyone we dealt with was so helpful and really lovely. We would definitely recommended to anyone thinking of a venue for a party.

This is a great place to meet with friends or family. We visit whenever I come to Leyton. Great vibe, delicious Pizza. And, quality beer. Staff always so welcoming. Thanks Patchworks 💚🙏

This is a brilliant venue run by passionate, visionary people who only get one thing drastically wrong.
The industrial space is gorgeous, light and airy and as perfect for a kid's party as it is for a rave as it is for a market. They've put real effort in to engaging with the local community, running so many diverse and creative events and pop-ups, and saying no to those who want to turn it into a regular wedding reception venue or corporate event space. It's really admirable.
Everyone is friendly and open to new ideas and you get a real sense that this is a gift to the local area.
However, for all the effort they put into regenerating this old warehouse and giving you compelling reasons to visit their events, they have failed to prioritise any incentive for people to visit when nothing is on.
The food during the week is terrible. Stodgy bagels, drab sandwiches and limp pastries. This is a particular shame when they're surrounded by some of London's absolute best suppliers, cafes and bakeries, from Today Bread, Wild Goose, Morny, Charles Bread to Juniper & Co, Wolf & Lamb, Deeney's, Lighthaus and many others who are providing some of London's best food within 1 mile of Patchworks yet none of it finds its way to their customers.
Another aspect is that for all the huge event spaces, repurposed lifts and unusable robot arms on display, they didn't install a basic professional kitchen to use in-house or provide to others.
Failing to utilise some of London's best local suppliers OR provide basic facilities for a boring Tuesday morning to be enlivened by some fresh, seasonal hot food on par with their competitors means that a weekday visit here is really for coffee only. The Wifi is terrible or non-existent so you can't even while away hours working on caffeine alone.
I fear this lack of real engagement with food during the week may keep enough people away to sink the business. There's no point going for lunch, or to work for more than an hour, and so a real opportunity is lost to keep the till ringing from Monday to Thursday.
I sincerely hope they reevaluate their food offering during the week, because at the weekend the pizza and barbecue are well worth sampling.

Great community space, hosts a really diverse range of events, run by friendly people who are open to ideas. Also serves excellent pizza and is extremely family friendly.

Pros (+), neutrals (~) and cons (-)
+ Great space lot of unrealised potential.
+ Good coffee
~ Decent pastries
~ Decent pizzas
~ They tried to be a night music venue but didn't get the license. I guess they have figured out what it takes yet.
~ the staff is really welcoming but none of them « make the place special ».
- Increasingly poor music curation. They had cool djs, gig at the very beginning but those people didn’t continue there cause the curation is all over the place. Recently I found myself wanting to go there for coffee several times and left to Shed immediately because of the music being bad. They need to associate themselves with people that will curate to attract a younger crowd and drive a bit more cultural ambition starting with good music. Not complex! Put NTS radio on as a start. Get some good curators to make mixes for your cafe…
- Too many prams in their events.
- Vintage market is also quite poorly curated i would say.
We don’t need yet another prams reunion place in Leyton. We need everything else. They can defo make it happen with that space.

I was here for the vintage fair, this was the 2nd one so early days...They have plenty eating places..Cafe etc...licensed bar.its also a music venue..A former upholstery warehouse the guy who started it told me...A great asset for the local community..plenty of space to stop have a drink, eat and chat... families & children running around... busier around lunchtime but not so crowded that you felt you didn't want to stay... There's also a huge space they rent out for functions..weddings etc.. at the back!! A winner for Leyton *****

Unassuming but what a great little cafe / creative space! Wish I lived nearer.

Top place run by top people. It's great to have such a decent venue open up in Leyton. Something different and ambitious - the area is all the better for it.

As a Canadian visiting London for the 3rd time, this was one of my favorite spots. Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. The pizzas are incredible, and the atmosphere is just lovely. If you want a nice night out with some friends and some drinks, it's a great spot. But they also seem to hold lots of events. Highly recommend.

Best thing to happen to Leyton! Amazing space and events as well as great pizza, coffee and selection of drinks. We're so lucky to have it on our doorstep!
