Dantastic was fantastic! That is the only way to describe my son’s 6th birthday party. Despite there being 35 children ranging from a 12 year old to a 2 year old everyone had a fantastic time. Dan was funny (for kids and for adults). He kept the kids in line (big kudos for identifying an unruly child and dealing with him quickly and without fuss). There was an array of different skits/activities that meant the children stayed engaged throughout The party went like clockwork and Dan’s fantastic advice in the lead up meant us parents got to enjoy seeing our little boy smile for 2 hours straight. It was honestly the best. So many parents have said to us how much they and their children enjoyed the party. You can’t go wrong booking Captain Dan!

I can’t speak highly enough of Captain Dan Tastic. He stepped in at the very last minute to help us out in an emergency and he smashed all expectations out of the park. Dan is the best kids entertainer around!! He has done birthday parties for our 7 year old Lukas and 5 year old Ella. He has an amazing ability to keep the complete attention of a large group of kids for a couple of hrs with no problems at all. Parents can relax and enjoy cup a tea! Captain Dan Tastic and Em-azing the Mermaid hosted my daughters 6th birthday party. The show was absolutely brilliant with interactive magic, fun and games including lots of laughs and running around. The children loved it and couldn't get enough. Em-azing the Mermaid provided the most amazing face painting I have ever seen. Definitely a must! Captain Dan Tastic has performed at my son's birthday party today and what a fantastic job he did! He managed to entertain 30 3-4 year olds for two hours which is almost an impossible job, he gave it his absolute all and more! He was entertaining, witty, funny and educational. The amounts of energy were absolutely infectious, even the shy kids opened up and had a blast. All the parents said what an amazing performer he is. We had Captain Dan Tastic and Em-Mazing Mermaid for our daughter’s sixth birthday party and they were brilliant! Captain Dan held the children’s attention for the full two hours with a mix of stories, games, magic and dancing and Em-Mazing did the most incredible and professional face painting that I’ve seen. They are a little more expensive than other entertainers that we’ve come across but, in our view, they are completely worth the extra. We would highly recommend them.

He really brought the topic alive for the children through his interesting anecdotes and artefacts, keeping them engrossed through out. Captain Dan obviously had a good knowledge of the NC - as many elements from history, geography and english were threaded through this fun workshop. Can't recommend enough.

Our 5yr old had the best time and his friends absolutely loved it too! The parents were supposed to go outside and chat but everyone was glued to the theatre esc performance. All the kids and parents couldn't talk about anything else the next week in the school playground! Weeks later, we still have parents saying how amazing it was! The incredible success of our Wild West party yesterday was thanks to the phenomenally brilliant entertainment by @thecaptaindantastic - THANK YOU Dan. We've had the pleasure of being at several pirate themed parties in recent years that were all delivered by this truly amazing and inspiring entertainer, educator and author...and each time we left having has the best time. So, when Cora asked for a themed party...there was only one person we wanted to do it. Firstly, Dan has been unbelievably professional and patient with us the last year whilst we made several attempts to reschedule it over the last 12 months, and so finally getting to don our cowboy boots yesterday was such a relief. If you're in the UK, I cannot recommend Dan highly enough! He delivers great content; he has delightful props; he's funny for children and adults alike and he comes excellently prepared - very self-sufficent - so no hassle. 😊 He does all manor of events so if you're looking for an entertainer to make your day super enjoyable and memorable..Dan is your man.👌😊

Captain Dan was the main entertainment for my 4 year-old boy's birthday party. He was absolutely amazing. His routine is original and tailored to the character that he is representing. We had the pirate party but he does other characters as well. My boy was a bit shy and clingy, but Captain Dan waited for the right moment to bring him back into the party and lured him into having some giggles by allowing him to shoot water at him. He was truly exceptional and worth every penny. We had the one-hour package and would definitely have him again. It is TV-quality worthy, his performance is not one of those "pirate-dressed guy with musical statues, balloons and silly jokes". It is a well-planned routine, very well delivered. We had about 30 four-year old kids in the room and they were all sat on the floor completely hypnotised by him for the whole hour, I did not think that was possible! Honestly, his performance is the next level of good. Happy to recommend him any time and answer any questions. He also gave my son a present, which was a small wooden treasure box with his name carved and a skull pirate bracelet inside. He gives 200%!

I booked Captain Dan Tastic after my daughter was a guest at a party he did. He was amazing, all the children loved it (and adults too) and he was the first person to come to mind 2 years later when I was arranging my son's 4th birthday party. I booked well in advance as I knew that he'd be in demand. On the day he was professional, organised (he was waiting at the venue when I arrived) and put on a fantastic show. Keeping 4 year olds entertained for 1.5 hours is not easy but they enjoyed every minute of it. When I dropped my son off at pre-school on the Monday, the staff were telling me that all the children were talking about the party and the 'REAL' pirate! Overall, the experience was fabulous and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Captain Dan Tastic to anyone... he is fantastic!

The best entertainer I've seen!!! We had Captain Dan Tastic for my son's 5th birthday pirate party. From the moment he walked through the door he made a big impression on my little boy. He introduced himself and made everyone feel at ease. I was worried that some children may be scared of him but the whole class were on board with all of his tricks, games and fun. The parents who came all said that they thought he was brilliant and took his leaflets for their own children. I was completely mesmerized throughout and thoroughly enjoyed the party myself too! We booked Captain Dan for my son’s 5th birthday party a couple of weeks ago. Captain Dan is fantastic, I found him through the Netmum website and the reviews are all so true. The funny thing was that a couple of the other mum’s and dad’s knew it would be Captain Dan, and they just came to see him as they have been his parties before… :D. Captain Dan is the best entertainer I have ever seen and very professional. Even though he was a bit under the weather on the day, he still performed brilliantly. He received a lot of praise from the parents and other family members. We had 15 kids including my 7 year old daughter and her best friend. My daughter’s best friend said this was one of the best parties she has ever been to! The kids were so engaged as were the adults. I have never been to a kids party where the parents are not sat round chatting because they were all watching Captain Dan. Dan also managed to make granddad laugh out loud. He is just brilliant, worth every penny!

Captain Dan Tastic very kindly donated his time by performing a fantastic magic show for charity. Ronald McDonald House Manchester provides free accommodation to families with children in hospital, and Dan was so generous and willing to put on some much needed entertainment for the families staying at the House. He arrived in costume and with a huge array of pirate props and was professional from the moment he arrived. His magic show exceeded expectation and all of the children were engrossed. There were lots of laughs and surprises and Dan made sure that every child was having fun and felt involved. I really can't recommend Dan enough and we are really looking forward to having him at Ronald McDonald House Manchester again in the future! A well deserved 5 stars.

What a brilliant pirates and mermaids party for my daughter's 5th birthday! From beginning to end Captain Dan Tastic did a fantastic job keeping 15 children (and their parents) entertained with pirate tales, magic tricks, dancing & games packed into 2 high energy hours! Alongside Captain Dan Tastic, Em-Mazing worked her face painting magic on each of the children, they all looked fabulous. From contacting Captain Dan to our party the whole experience was amazing. Captain Dan put us in the Captains log, we paid our deposit and patiently waited for his Ship to sail into port. I wanted an entertainer who would keep all the children engaged while appreciating that our little girl at times may not take part. Our little girl has autism and does get overwhelmed quite easily. So likes to take herself away. There was no pressure for her to be the centre of attention or be involved if she didn't want to be. When it was time for happy birthday she cried and refused to blow out her candles so all the children blew them out for her. I can honestly say the children as well as the adults loved our party. There was lots of squeals and laughter and no one was left out. I've received lots of messages after the party to say how incredible it was. I ordered some sword balloons that were given out at the end and Dan even provided extra incase any got broken. My husband watched the whole show with the biggest smile ever and would now like an excuse to do one for adults only including lots of grog. Can not recommend Dan enough worth every penny and some.

Ahoy there Captain Dan! Dan came to our primary school last week to kick start our new topic of Pirates and he certainly got us off to a great start. The morning was spent finding out about a range of Pirate information. Dan is very knowledgeable on the subject and was fantastic at communicating with the children. He made them (and the teachers) laugh, showed them artifacts and got them completely involved. They were spellbound! In the afternoon we had all 60 children in the hall and Dan had no problems keeping them entertained with games, songs and stories. It was pretty mad at times and the children absolutely loved it. Many described it as 'the best day ever' and we got some fantastic writing about Pirates the following day. This is the second year that Dan has visited us, and we would definitely book again next year.

They entertained 50+ children of various ages for 2 hours solid and managed to keep their attention the whole time. The children had a fantastic time being taken on a pirate adventure of singing, dancing, magic and silly shenanigans. And with his dry sense of humour the Captain even managed to get the parents giggling too. We were slightly worried as our little boy is not the most confident in big groups but Dan made him feel really special without putting too much pressure on him to perform. To see our son enjoy being the centre of attention was fantastic and that was all down to Dan and his natural rapport with the children. Em-Mazing was a wonderful addition with her beautiful face painting for which both the girls and boys were queuing. We will be booking both Dan and Emily again for his 6th birthday - the only problem is which of their fabulous characters we are going to invite next.

We hired Captain Dan for my daughter’s fourth birthday party. She’s always loved pirates and in the weeks running up to her party, she was so excited to tell her friends that a ‘real’ pirate was coming to her party. Captain Dan was brilliant, he kept the 20 odd kids at our party entertained for the full two hours – and the adults too!! The shark game was a definite hit and so were the magic tricks. He had a great rapport with kids and kept even the most restless one’s engaged. The parents that stayed at our party all complimented him at the end and said how much they’d enjoyed it. He has a great sense of humour and I love the fact that he referenced that ‘even girls can be pirates’, his little motivational anecdotes were very much appreciated by several of my friends. I read a few very good reviews but was still a little anxious as i didn't actually know anybody who had had Captain Dantastic before but the second he walked through the door at the party i knew i had found the right man for the job! He kept all the children from ages 18 months to 7 years engaged and hooked on all his pirate tricks, games and songs. It was without a doubt the best children's party. Captain Dantastic was absolutely amazing - he had 25x 5yr olds absolutely captivated for the full 1.5 hrs, giving me the most stress-free party experience I can remember since becoming a parent! Ahoy Captain Dan and Em-mazing the mermaid, Wow! What an amazing party our son had! From start to finish you had the children (and their parents captivated). Several days on the children are still talking about the shark and crocodile chasing them. There was such a buzz around the room when the party had finish. At the end of it I think there were several children who had a new hero... Captain Dan! They loved all the games, face painting and the pirate dancing. You took all the stress of running a party away and we were able to sit back and watch our little boy enjoy the pirate fun with his friends. We shall look forward to working with you both again in the future.

Captain Dan Tastic recently performed at my son's 3rd and daughters 1st Birthday Party. He was worth every penny, the children (all 40 of them) were transfixed and throughly entertained. The magic and the activities are interactive, well thought out and personalised to cater for the age group and individual child's needs, for example my son who worships pirates was a little shy of joining in with the magic was still included but not coerced to go up to the front, and instead one of his older friends went, whilst Elliott was happy to watch. Secret Agent Dan was fantastic at my son's 6th birthday 2 weeks ago. Kept 20 kids from 20 months up to 6 years entertained, and a few big brothers and sisters got involved too. Professor Dan Tastic and Dr Em-Mazing were brilliant for my son’s 6th birthday science party. 30 five and six year olds were kept thoroughly entertained with exciting science experiments, laughs, games and dancing for two hours. We booked Captain Dan for our son, William’s 5th birthday party yesterday. I am probably going to say much of what has been said before in previous reviews....he was FANTASTIC. He kept 45 children entertained for two hours solid. Even those slightly older party guests (aged 8/9+) soon dropped the “too cool for a five years olds party games” front and couldn’t help but join in the fun. So many parents made a point of coming over to thank us for inviting their child to the party and to comment on how brilliant they thought the entertainment was. I’ve had texts since the party saying similar too. Dan really made William feel special by picking him out to help with tricks and games. He also gave William an engraved little treasure chest with a pirate bracelet and ring inside as a gift - this was a lovely touch. All in all, my husband and I were absolutely thrilled with how the party went. Thank you captain Dan....you’ll be hearing from us again next year as both William and Isla-Rose are already planning a joint party with you as entertainment!

Five stars for a five star Pirate! Dan's boundless enthusiasm and repertoire of magic tricks, games & activities kept twenty five 4-5 year olds thoroughly engaged for a full one and a half hours which I know, from the entertainers that I've seen at other parties, is no mean feat. He managed to keep the whole group together with no kids wandering off doing their own thing, with minimal input from the watching parents who were able to sit back and enjoy the spectacle. I particularly liked the way he engaged with all the kids (even managing to remember many of their names!) but still singled the birthday boy out for some special attention every now and again. He cleverly avoided winners and losers in his games and mixed up running around and sitting down activities to control the very high spirits. He had plenty of props to keep the interest going and the kids loved his magic tricks. Its clear that a lot of thought, backed up by experience, had gone into his preparations. It's difficult to find any fault but I would recommend that you check your little ones are happy with bursting balloons as we had a couple that weren't. Judging by the reaction of the parents, I think they were as entertained (and impressed) as the kids - I certainly was. Dan was a professional from start to finish, from handling our initial enquiry through to turning up on time and delivering the goods wholeheartedly. It's a cliche I know but I certainly have no reservations about recommending the guy - a big thanks and pirate hats off to you Dan tastic!

Captain DanTastic was both of these things; he was FANTASTIC and he was called Dan. We found his party entertainment for our 5-year-old daughter to be first class and it was the talk of both the kids at school and also received rave reviews on the parents' WhatsApp group. From beginning to end then, this was a fun character performance that had the kids eating out of his hand and the parents' phones stayed firmly in their pockets as they couldn't help but thoroughly enjoy the show (Facebook could wait). The entertainment was well-written, well-performed, educational by stealth, and edgy so as not to be banal yet completely age appropriate. We also loved the inclusivity, the nod towards gender equality - good man - and a generally wholesome ethos to the show. Dan has a great costume, the accent suits the persona, the props are wide-ranging, interactive and fab (and the tricks had us all a little baffled). It was a genuine delight to see him chasing a fleeing mob of 5-year-olds in the shark suit, with genuine child-like terror simultaneously coupled with faces of absolute glee (a fine balance to strike). Definitely opt for the fuller packages if you can as the start to finish entertainment meant that us as parents/organisers could simply sort the food and let everything else run as planned; we even got to talk to each other. The preceding notes Dan sent about the nuances of planning and putting on a kids party were thorough, a huge help and the mark of a man who really knows his audience. As one mum put it "That was awesome but thanks for nothing in setting the bar so high we'll now struggle to match it" (erm, book Dan again in one of his other guises, obviously!)

We hired Captain Dan Tastic for our wedding last weekend and Da(m)n Tastic he most certainly was! I'm not sure who was most entertained as he was loved by adults and children alike. His show kept all of the children (ranging from age 0-12) completely entertained and focussed and he hugely surpassed our expectations of what he would provide. He was extremely flexible with timings and where/how the entertainment would take place and he was so friendly and approachable for all of our guests. He has a huge array of equipment and the music that accompanies his show is perfect throughout.
