Kanval by Design was the first store I went to when choosing my bridal dress. Rabia who assisted me, was amazing she made me feel extremely comfortable and overall the atmosphere created was relaxing and inviting. I recently brought my baraat (wedding day) lengha from KVD and the customer service was AMAZING. The staff were so kind and respectful! I have been to so many different shops in different cities but KVD stood out by miles compared to the rest. I would highly recommend if you want a stress free and calm experience when looking for your bridal. Special thanks to Kanval and Maham who really went that extra mile to reassure me that I was in safe hands. They kept to their word on making my lengha on time without any fuss or issues. I am so so happy that I chose kanval by design for my bridal dress. I walked in the store and within 10 minutes, I found a beautiful dress with the help of Rabia. I had been to other bridal shops but the service was nowhere near as professional and consistent as this place. I went to collect my dress today and felt anxious like any other bride, but when I saw the dress I was amazed. I got by baraat day outfit from Kanval By Design. I absolutely loved the outfit and loved the whole process with going through Kanvals. All of the staff was amazing and i loved how much of a personal interest Kanval takes in each of her brides- she was amazing!!! The entire process from choosing my outfits and the measuring were all done virtually so I was super apprehensive. However Kanval and her entire team were so good throughout and the customer service was amazing; they answered all my questions, were available for any follow ups, and generally made me feel so at ease. I had a very specific design and colour in mind for one of the dresses in a colour they didn't do anymore, but they made it happen and it turned out so much better than I expected. You aren't just paying for the dress, but the attention to detail and the customer service as well - which considering Covid is a massive relief. Wedding planning can be so stressful especially during a global pandemic. Kanval and her team made the process so much easier. They were professional throughout the whole process. They took on board everything I wanted and created the perfect dress for me. The customer service was outstanding. I went in for a consultation just before lockdown and Kanval took all my measurements which saved me from making another trip. I ordered virtually as we were in a lockdown. After placing my order I received my dress 3 months after placing the order which was what we had agreed. When I picked my outfit up a fitting appointment was arranged for me to ensure I was happy with the fit. The fit was perfect. The best service I have ever had in my life. It’s been such a long time since I’ve shopped for Asian clothes, I had no idea what I wanted. Can i just say, I have received the best customer service ever! I was absolutely devastated and stressed as I had ordered a wedding dress from elsewhere and when I tried it on it looked absolutely horrendous on me. I then had to decide what I was going to do. The most amazing customer service I’ve received by the staff at KBD! When I first visited the store in August I was welcomed by Rabia who understood how hard it is as plus size bride to find anything to wear for a wedding forget as a bride! She understood how I wanted to the fitting, the colours I wanted and exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. The next day I came back with family and Kanval was there and omg the sweetest and most understanding person I have come across! She told me what I would suit and how my dress fitting would look on me and all in all assured me everything would be okay. Coming closer to the wedding I had bombarded their Instagram pages with dms asking when I could come in for fitting and even rang almost 50 times to see whether the outfit is here and the staff were lovely and so understanding and calm with me which was extremely sweet of them. Today I went for my fitting and wow I was not only amazed at my dress but again the customer service I received today was amazing, the dress was made perfectly understanding I didn’t want anything fitted for my body and I have no words to describe how comfortable I felt today, it was like having a chat with friends, my family also came along and Kanval also was caring to whether my family also liked my outfit and was reassuring them and also me if there was anything else I needed altered I could come back. I also have bought my wedding jewellery which was matched perfectly with my outfit, I could try it on with my outfit and Kanval gave me an amazing price there and then for such a beautiful set I couldn’t refuse! All in all whether you are plus size or not, no matter what body type you might have, having the right bridal outfit on your wedding is not only important but being comfortable in it is even more crucial and you can get it sorted at KBD! Kanval By Design is the best bridal outlet in the UK. This was the 1st shop where I went for my barat dress after the 1st consultation I tried some others shops as well, but hands down our experience with KBD was the best. So I chose them for my big day. All staff is amazing all the girls but I would like to give a special mention to RABIA! She is amazing! Incredible service from team KBD in designing my dream wedding dress. In depth review for all you hesitant brides to be! Bridal booking: The whole process from start to finish was pleasant and took around 2.5 hours. You must book an appointment, this is confirmed by them a few days before. Upon arrival you are asked to take Covid precautions - mask and the use of hand sanitiser. You are then guided through the price ranges and types of gowns, it helps if you have a design in mind but also if you go in with no idea (like me) you’ll be in safe hands. I was shown a number of gowns and was advised I could try up to 3 (this is to ensure they have time to steam the gowns before the next bridal booking). You are helped into the gowns in a beautiful dressing room and they dress you up with jewellery (also designed by Kanwal) to help give you a finished look. Following this, Kanwal and her team talked me through styles and designs. I offered my ideas and they worked to bring my vision to life. You are measured up and your design ideas/requirements are written down. They require a 50% deposit and you are provided with a full receipt, clipping of the colour of your lehenga and photos of the work on the chosen lehenga are messaged to you following the payment. Bridal fitting: In a short time frame, Kanval was able to bring my vision to reality and I was absolutely blown away! When my gown had arrived Kanval had called me, letting me know I could book in for a fitting but that she had measured everything and done her meticulous quality control check, promising me I’d be blown away. I arrived for my bridal fitting and was utterly blown away. The lengha was even better than I could have envisioned, fitting me like a glove and being made of absolute high quality material, as promised. Thankfully I did not need many alterations, just a quick tightening of the lengha skirt which took all of 10 minutes! Wearing my lengha I was able to try on some of the beautiful pieces of jewellery all designed by Kanval herself. I felt in safe hands, was able to trust the styles Kanval showed me because she has incredible knowledge within this field. From the colours to the tones, shapes and styles, I was advised of the best jewellery set to go with my lengha. The whole bridal fitting and jewellery choosing process took 1-1.5 hours. I can truly say, from start to finish I have had the most pleasurable stress free experience, I have been made to feel like a princess and given so much advice at every step from all at KBD. They are understanding, accommodating and trustworthy! If you are a nervous bride to be, with little understanding of what you are looking for then trust everyone at team KBD to provide you a professional, authentic and genuine service. I was welcomed with a smile and given some wonderful life advice from Kanval as well as lots of sincere well wishes and blessings. Unfortunately the wedding date had changed a few times due to covid, Kanwal still managed to have the outfits ready on the original date that was agreed. Amazing customer service and beautiful outfits! I had the best experience buying my bridal outfit from KBD, the staff were incredible and made me feel so comfortable, I can't recommend them enough. My outfit arrived super quick and is literally perfect, it needed no alterations, will definitely be going back to get my jewellery from there too. We were made to feel so comfortable and had a great laugh with Kanval and the team, we were in stitches throughout and could have spent hours there chatting away with the girls. I ordered my bridal lehenga from kanval during lockdown. During this time Pakistan was also placed on the red list which complicated the process but kanval was amazing and delivered my perfect lehenga. It was a virtual process and I did request a lot of changes so I was very nervous, but it was needless. I got the lehenga back with ample time for further dress fittings and kanval made it exactly how I'd asked down to every last detail requested. I can't recommend her enough, she will take the stress of ordering your bridal outfit away and deliver your dream dress.

I recently ordered my bridal lengha from KBD. Not only am I extremely happy with how my outfit has turned out but I am also very happy with my whole experience at KBD. I made multiple appointments to view the outfits before I made my decision and it never felt like it was a problem, as I was welcomed just as much as I was the first time. I also loved that I was never pressured into placing an order; I felt welcomed enough even to just browse. The customer service at KBD is excellent. I have been to every Asian bridal shop you can think of and not a single one came close to the service I received at KBD. From the moment you step into the shop you are welcomed by all the staff who are all so lovely and very professional. It is definitely more than choosing an outfit off the shelf. It is a bespoke service where you are given choices of different colours, types of kaam, thread work colours, types of materials etc, so in the end your outfit is unique to you and there’s never one that’s the same and every small detail is explained in depth and shown to you so that you know exactly what your outfit will look like. Always loads of staff in the shop with different roles which make it very efficient and professional, for example, some of the girls will help you in and out your outfit, others will give you advice about your outfit and your wedding day in general and others will take your measurements. I also love that you come in for a first initial fitting once your outfit has arrived and then once again nearer to the date of your wedding for any last minute alterations that may need doing. Overall, it is a very professional shop, the staff are so friendly and make you feel relaxed and comfortable. The bridal lenghas are so unique, classy and ‘proper’ Pakistani style, the work on them is so intricate; I have not come across anything like it. If you want to look elegant and royal KBD is definitely your place, you will not be disappointed, nothing compares and I cannot recommend it enough.

The only place to buy your bridal outfit from! We were welcomed by Rabia who listened to what style I was looking for, and she immediately understood the look that I was after. I tried on 3 amazing outfits and out of the 3, I fell in love with the first I had tried on. I explained to Kanval and Rabia the way I wanted my dupatta and they talked me through everything. Bridal Review: Honestly, I dont know where to begin. These girls are soooo down to earth, so genuine and honestly like no other stores or brands I've come across. They care more about their customers then putting on a sale. At the start of planning my wedding dress, I had put a design in which was to be made by a reputable brandi store down in London. I thought what could go wrong if they are known. They promised a dress by end of September. (My wedding is November). After chasing and chasing I never recieved it and when I finally got pictures (3 weeks prior to the wedding)...the dress was nothing like we initally agreed. My heart sank...the embarassment, disappointment and sheer shock of having to deal with this I wish on no bride or person. My in laws and I now had to go find a dress that would be off the rack and hopefully something elegant enough to pull through as a walima dress. After a number of searches, I came across Kanval. I called thinking they wouldnt be interested and wouldnt be able to pull anything off in the short time scale and their work is probably going to cost me an arm and a leg. Kanval answered and she was genuinely a sweetheart. She just let me rant on the phone and then she said come in and we'll do the rest. She said she wouldnt be in and that it would be her colleague Suman. I initally thought oh man will I get the same care and attention as Kanval just gave me. The next day I went in and Suman and co felt like I was one of them. They listened to my ordeal, my concerns, my budget and not one bit did they sell me. They instead asked for what I'm looking for, followed by going through the dresses that were on the racks. They asked me to pick 3 dresses to try and we went from there. I tried 5 dresses and each time they were genuinely attentive, and listened to me. The last dress I tried was a two piece. I loved the work on it and Suman goes I got this. I can make this into a one piece gown and you'll look stunning in it. I said yes that's what I want. Before leaving them to do the work in 10 days they walked me through jewellery to match. I don't know how else to say it but of you're a bride and want to be taken care of without worry. You want them to listen to you. You want to not worry about the dress. Having to go through something like I did, followed by trying to find a dress in short space of time is daunting in itself. And in split moments, Kanval removed that. In sheer moments, Suman and the girls made me feel like everything is going to be ok again. I'll have a wedding dress. They felt like family and that's what mattered. I came back 10 days later for the fitting and I have no words. It is stunning. I cannot wait to wear it and show the girls pictures when I get back. Kanval and co - keep being you, you're doing it right by staying true to your values. The values of being a good human and listening to your customers so that their bridal outfits are spot on and stunning. And the work is phenomenal!!
