Amazing staff. The Cube Live was super fun and the bar staff were incredible. Can't wait to visit again and order some cocktails!

We had a FANTASTIC time at the Urban Playground - The Cube Live on opening day. Although we were part of the first round of people to play, we smashed the games and went straight to the top of the leaderboard! (Ham - 8650pts) But wanted to shared some insights that we got for those also considering booking. If you book online, you'll get sent a QR code that is required to play each of game within the cube. 4G signal within the Arndale centre is poor, and the free Arndale WiFi didn't appear to connect within the venue so would suggest, at a minimum, take a screenshot of your QR code so you don't get caught short. Overall, we throughly enjoyed our experience, but we were going in not know what to expect. To play The Cube, you will first need to watch a intro video on a terminal just inside the door (which you will sign in on if purchased tickets online). These seem to be in a bit of an awkward place. You will only play through 7 of the Cube games within the venue, whilst accompanied by a Cube Host. These games were randomly selected by the Cube, and we'd half expected to be able to do more of them. I'm not sure who our Cube host was, but for her first public game she was pretty good and made the experience more enjoyable. Apparently it's recommended for groups of 4, but even as a duo we were only playing for about 30-45 minutes. That's being said, we really did enjoy each of the games that we played. The one main criticism that we have is that you get no form of "post-game" communication in relation to your gameplay. Given that on each of the games you have to scan your QR code, you'd have though this information would be accessible. Just to look back on the games you played and how you performed - perhaps even something that emails you that can be shared on social media to further encourage engagement for the venue. If we were to come again, we'd ideally want to play at least a couple of games we hadn't played before, but as the Cube randomly selects your gameplay, we could go back and play most of the same games. I know it wouldn't be guaranteed that you could always play different games, but I'd be pretty bummed if it paid the same amount to do the same thing for a second time round. That being said, we are already looking to book for a second visit with friends. 10/10 would recommend.

Very fun for a night out. The games were spot on, enjoyable with just the right amount of stress. All the staff were absolutely amazing and very welcoming. Larna was great with our whole group and was very easy to talk to, she even got multiple angles for our group photo which I very much appreciate. Will definitely be going back asap :)

Seen in passing this place on a few occasions whist the shop was in fitting to open, went past earlier this week for a peek and absolutely awesome, just what the arndale needed a decent entertainment sector. It would definitely be somewhere if like to test out one day. I took a few brief info photos with prices, times ect as I was told not to take photos inside the venue.

Like the idea. Cube's a bit pricey for what it is in my opinion. Next gen crazy golf has arrived! It was really fun, although several teething issues with the new tech. Club batteries don't seem to last a full 18 holes without a recharge and at peak times I can imagine they're off the rack again before they've recharged. It ruined our second 9 holes as two of us went through about 6 club changes. I'm sure they'll IRON that out though... ;)

Absolutely brilliant place! Really is a good day out. We went with our 2 younger ones and they loved it. The staff are all really cheery and helpful. One of our sons clubs broke on the very last game and while they were changing his club it timed us out so he lost his go, we asked if anything could be reset just to do that last one again but wasn't really bothered if it couldn't be but instead they gave us a free 9 hole game again to apologise! I did say it was only one game we missed out on so seems a bit extreme but they insisted. Can't beat their customer service if I'm honest. We also ate there, me and my partner to be fair never choose a burger from a menu but thought we would give it a go and we're glad we did. It was really nice. Would definitely recommend the whole place and we will be going again 🙂

Absolutely fantastic experience at the Cube! We were a group of 6 and they accommodated us perfectly! Really friendly staff! Cat was amazing - super fun and patient and made our evening even more enjoyable. Would recommend to everyone!

Visited twice - Once for The Cube and the second for Crazy Golf. The Cube - Fantastic experience and would absolutely recommend. Deserves a 5/5 and would go again. Crazy Golf - Unfortunately not a good experience. Concept seems good but in reality the game is riddled with issues - putts weren't registering and a lot of the games around the two courses had faults. Tried to get help from the staff but they were unable to resolve the issues - said they would get a manager to come help but no-one turned up. Was a shame as it looked like good fun, but we wanted to leave after the first course. 1/5 - Wouldn't recommend it.

Went to Urban Playground for the first time today to do the putting activities. Have had to take some time out of my day to explain why we had such a great time. As with lots of new things these days there were some technical issues. However all of this was far exceeded by how well our host treated us. Larna (hopefully spelt right,) was the most helpful and patient person with us. She explained all very clearly and helped us resolve the issues we were having. She is definitely the main reason we will be recommending this place to all our friends. She is an asset to your business and if you do employee of the month I would like to highly recommend her. Amazing experience! Super fun and highly recommended (as couples or large groups). The staff is amazing and highly engaging (shout-out to Jack!) Great bunch of guys and gals. The cube games are brilliant and really well produced, like the TV show! Also a great way to just converse and break ice with new people. The mini-golf is also really fun and a great time. Will definitely be back again...more than once! :)

The Cube: super fun, the more people the best, of you're competitive you'll definitely enjoy it 2 people was 30£/each the game last around 1hr because we were 2 ppl but obviously the more ppl the longer, it's 7 challenges in total, the machine decides which challenges you'll get. The Staff: It was super, the staff are super friendly and they will help you at anything you need, we took few breaks for toilet and drinks and the staff with us Ben was super nice, fun and caring. He even took few pictures of us in the end playing the cube x The bar Taylor was super lovely too Food was not that good tbh we got wings and mozarella sticks Overall I recommend it 100% for drinks and game, def something different to do

Putters - great in theory but not in practice. Poor customer service as when we arrived we were told to book in online on our phone, then the staff disappeared so we didn't know what to do or where to go and were just kind of stood there guessing at what to do to start for a good few minutes. Quite a few technical glitches including the golf club not registering how many hits we had properly - it took me 5 attempts to get the ball in but it only registered 3 which kind of takes the fun away when its not at all accurate. Some bonus parts didn't work either despite being hit directly into it. I somehow gained 500 points whilst wildly missing another bonus section too. We weren't told cheats had to be used before you start the 9th hole either as it swallows your ball so we couldn't do the replay one. We also were told we couldn't use the trial cheat either. No idea how it is scored at all, no one spoke to us when we finished so we just awkwardly put our golf clubs back where we saw they were stored and left. If these technical aspects are fixed and they have more staff there to greet and explain what to do / debrief then it would be great, but we just left feeling a bit underwhelmed and disappointed.

Played The Cube live experience and it was brilliant! Games are challenging and fun, not too difficult so that you leave feeling defeated but not so easy that you feel it’s for kids. We had Larna guiding us for our first 4 games; she was brilliant, fun, energetic, a good laugh and a great host! However some of her colleagues were not so attentive and it let the side down a bit; one didn’t really interact with us so it made the game awkward to play, one couldn’t be bothered to turn the leaderboard on for us so we couldn’t see where we scored. Overall: loved the experience and would recommend

Great night with friends. Well organised and friendly staff. Harry made our night and is an assett to the business. Look out for him and say hello if you go, he's a genuinely funny, nice guy. Reason for 4 stars was they could really do with more bar staff, as we waited almost 25 mins for drinks. Lots of other customers commenting on this, hopefully management read the reviews and address the issue ? Other than that , brilliant atmosphere and highly reccomended 👏 👏 👏
