Amazing wedding venue, rooms are fantastic and everyone commented on how friendly and helpful all the staff are. We had our wedding here in May this year and we cannot fault Sarah our wedding planner, she kept in contact with us regularly even though we postponed a year and was very prompt with any questions we had, which sometimes were alot. The day was amazing and food throughout the day was fantastic only slight issue we had was with the evening food as we were slightly disappointed with how it was presented (polystyrene trays) and it came out cold,it wasn't what we were expecting for our evening do. Other than that everything else was perfect and our day was amazing.

It's a great venue in a really nice setting. The food through the day is exceptional and the bar prices are competitive. The rooms are finished to a high standard. However the cabin we stayed in was extremely cold over night, I can't imagine what it would be like over winter. The biggest issue are the chairs used for weddings. Their stability really isn't confidence inspiring and two broke under people in the days we were there. Given that the same thing occurred a few years ago at a previous wedding you'd think they would be changed. The staff really can't be faulted, and they're friendly and down to earth while remaining professional. It's almost a shame it's wedding venue only as it would make for a nice weekend break.

Sarah here. Wow. Where do I begin?! What an incredible weekend and wedding we had at the most beautiful wedding venue ever. Every single aspect of the weekend was perfect and more than we could have ever imagined. We definitely have wedding blues and want to do it all over again! It was a non-stop party with the people who mean the most to us. This is the best thing about Woodhill. It is totally exclusive for the whole weekend, nothing is rushed and everything has a personal touch. All of your staff went above and beyond all weekend but in particular, Luke! He is an absolute credit to Woodhill and we were so pleased to have him as our wedding coordinator. He made sure everything went smoothly for us and has an incredible attention to detail. He kept us all calm but joined in with the party too. Literally, us and all of our guests loved him and have been raving about him ever since. The food was incredible throughout the whole day, so please send a massive thank you to your head chef and kitchen team. People couldn’t get enough of the wedding breakfast food and the fish and chips were AMAZING! Our guests said it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding. Woodhill looked beautiful all weekend and was very well presented, especially the orangery and the magical tepees! Your cleaners worked tirelessly to ensure the house, grounds and tepees looked clean and tidy at all times. One guest even said, “I’ve never seen a wedding venue like this before, it’s incredible and so nice that you can celebrate over a full weekend!” It literally is one of a kind and I’m so pleased that we got to marry and celebrate there. We’re going to miss coming to the open days, I think we’ve been to almost every single one since booking back in 2017! Woodhill is perfect and truly deserving of the awards you have. We can’t wait to come back soon to plant our tree and see Woodhill and your team again. Thank you so much again for everything! If anyone is looking for a wedding venue, I cannot recommend Woodhill Hall enough. It truly is one of a kind and perfect in every single way. Love Sarah and Donnie x

Absolutely amazing venue and staff. The team at Woodhill Hall really made our wedding a perfect day for us, ensuring it ran as smooth as possible. We loved being able to have our 2 Border Collies there with us on the day which us another reason the venue was perfect for us. We could not recommend Woodhill Hall any higher than we do, everything was perfect, food was amazing and our guests are still talking about it weeks afterwards. David & Abbie Christie. Amazing wedding venue..my neices wedding was fabulous. Wedding breakfast was lovely, didn't enjoy night food, was burger and chips served in polystyrene container, was cold, thats just my opinion.Stayed two nights in garden room, beautifully decorated, comfy beds, lovely shower room, but could do with maybe kettle etc. Somewhere to sit apart from bed, somewhere to hang dresses and suits apart from back of door. Thankfully it was amazing weather, so sat out in courtyard most of time.

The wedding itself was wonderful, and we all had a fantastic time. As a venue, it's great, but as a place to stay, I wouldn't stay again. It's not the cheapest place to stay, and the quality of most rooms aren't up to the cost. They all look great aesthetically, but are quite impractical to stay in. For instance all of them have wet rooms for a bathroom so everything gets wet in there. Only some of the rooms have an ensuite, the rest share bathrooms, which is surprising when a lot of the rooms seem large enough to have an ensuite. We were lucky enough to have an ensuite, but the water pressure was terrible so I actually ended up using someone else's bathroom. The mirrors in some of the rooms aren't great, which is difficult when you're trying to get ready for a wedding! In the bathrooms they were sometimes in awkward places too, like over the toilet which isn't the easiest to use. There wasn't anywhere to hang towels up after a shower. The noise travels quite a lot so if anyone's up early (or late) it can be quite disruptive. They had the heating on in some of the rooms, which it wasn't possible to turn off, so it was like an oven despite it being summer. It felt like someone had designed them who had a good eye for making things look nice, and a bit unusual, but didn't understand guest needs on a practical level which was disappointing. Would I happily go to a wedding there again? Yes, definitely, and I know it would be a great day. Would I stay there again? Probably not.
