Visiting as part of a hen weekend and completed the daylight robbery escape room. Everyone had a great time. The room was really fun and well thought out. The staff member who checked us in was lovely and really made the experience great. Really good value for a fun thing to do as a group.

Came here to do the daylight robbery room for my 30th birthday with family. We'd never done anything like this before but James was great, and made the experience super smooth and light hearted. James' aptly dropped in clues were very helpful but didn't give too much away, and we felt like we were in good hands throughout! It was great fun! The room is packed with stuff to do, there were lots of puzzles of varying levels, so there really is something for everyone. I'd highly recommend.

We did the Daylight Robbery room with a group of 5 of us who had never done an escape room before. We absolutely loved it and thought the clues were done really well - giving us enough time to have a good go at everything but helping out where we were starting to struggle. Definitely coming back to try another room soon!

Really great experience 5 of us done the Egyptian themed room. Escaped in 45 min. Was very good welcoming and staff were great. Really enjoyed it and will be going bk again for a different challenge! Would defo recommend!

Daylight robbery room. My 1st time, friends too,but very experienced son! Didn't feel our games host was very enthusiastic. Our pre game talk was very quick though 1 of us did ask questions for clarity. During the game it was felt we could have been given more hints/ tips. Once out and going through the"post mortem" it was discovered one of the props hadn't been reset from previous players which was disappointing for us. Also maybe a door had been left open by mistake. We were given a card with our total on but no team photo to share!!

At the ripe 'old' age of 60+++, this was our first time in Escape Rooms, with our experienced daughter. I can see why she's hooked! Brilliantly lead by Benji, we thoroughly enjoyed it. This could become a retirement hobby😂

Have now played 120+ escape rooms and in my opinion Cryptology Nottingham are by far the best in the UK. Daylight robbery and Dreamscape are practically perfect in every way and are a joy to play! We completed our 100th room here and the owner Mark bought us donuts to celebrate. Can’t recommend cryptology highly enough; they are a must play for any escape room enthusiast!

Cryptology have some excellent escape rooms which help make Nottingham a must-visit destination for enthusiasts. We played all 4 rooms and the experience was great from booking through to playing the games was seamless. Daylight Robbery and Dreamscape are 2 of the best rooms I've played as both are unique and rarmmed full with puzzles. The other 2 (Rameseize and Cypherdyne) are both very good games in their own right and perhaps better for beginners than the others. Our hosts James, Anna and Cerys were friendly and chatty, and they really enhanced the experience for us. The owner Mark and manager (Sam?) are really down-to-earth and were happy to chat with us between games. Highly recommended escape rooms!

Had the most fun time here on a team-building venture with work! We had the pleasure of playing Ramaseize, Daylight Robbery, and Dreamscape (My favourite was Daylight Robbery). The games masters were all so funny and made us feel accommodated. Their characters added so much to the experience of the rooms! Speaking of the rooms, it didn't take long to see how well-polished their games are, and it's clear that a lot of hard work has gone into these rooms. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend it for families or friends that want the most fun, unique way to kill an hour!

30/04/2022 Me and 3 friends did Rameseize and Daylight Robbery. For Rameseize (haha, funny play on words, just realised), we had James and he was an excellent, excitable games master, very in character and funny to joke with. The puzzle was relatively linear and they were great to figure out. The acluebius (hint thing) was very interactive and glad it had captions to understand him. We got all 3 relics with 14 minutes to go 😁 In Daylight Robbery, we had Cerys who was a lovely games master, (bad hacker tho, took 50 minutes to get the diamonds open and the alarm still went off 😅😅) and we had a great time running about trying to get as much money as we could from the artifacts, ended up with £888,945.77. All in all, a great day, had tonnes of fun, will be coming back to do the other two. Edit: 08/06/2022 My friends and I returned for the other 2 rooms (dreamscape and cyberdyne). In dreamscape, we had Anna who was an enthusiastic and passionate games master (she did not fall asleep behind the machine this time as she did for poor Dr Lucy Dee who got trapped in the dreams!!) many helpful hints and blue raindrops were thrown in our direction. We managed to get 16 dreamkeys and woke up the doctor in 52:20 mins. Now Cyberdyne, I would not want to have an interview with them again for risk of death... but we did manage to get the job done in a top tier time (42:05 mins top 2.87%). We had Anna again as our games master, in this, she was a devoted and well established employee of Cyberdyne, allowing their... strange... interview practises to continue. As before, it was a great day and we had a nice chat with Anna at the end, enthusing about escape rooms. If any more games come around, we will definitely be doing them!

Pros: -I did the dream one and it had 5 rooms which was fun because I’ve been to some escape rooms where you stay in one room -Had unlimited hints -Staff were super friendly -Puzzles were interesting and fun to solve Cons: -Each room only had 12 minutes which wasn’t really enough time to solve but you could go twice (that’s what I wanna do) -The room felt tacky (again this could be just this one) -Unlimited hints because sometimes you wanna figure it out yourself but you can’t at the same time because you only have 12 mins Overall would recommend

We had a great time completing an Egyptian themed escape room. We were 2 adults and an 8 year old, who absolutely loved the experience. The puzzles had were easy enough for the 8 year old to attempt, but there was also plenty for us adults to do. The puzzles were really well made and fun to figure out. There were lots of puzzles to keep us all going, with a good mix of challenge. The owner, Mark, was great both in helping through the booking process, as well as leading us through the experience. Would recommend to anyone, such a great experience!

Fantastic experience at Cryptology, for myself and 3 friends doing Dreamscape (in 57:20 with 16 dream keys!). Anna was a brilliant GM - thank you very much. Have done almost all of Nottingham’s escape rooms now, and others all over the world, and Mark has some of the best. The latest Dreamscape and Daylight Robbery room are simply brilliant and a very clever adaption of the Escape Room format. They have something for everyone, regardless of experience. Beyond that, Mark has been extremely understanding and kind in letting us rebook the room due to family illness and add another person. Cannot recommend Cryptology Nottingham more highly and looking forward to their new room!

This is without doubt one of the best escape rooms I have done. We did the diamond heist, and really enjoyed it. It had a lot of puzzles, more than you can do in the allocated time, so if you get stuck with one you can jump to another without missing too much. There are few repeated puzzles and the those are usually training you for the final puzzles. It was really well designed to leave the players with a warm feeling of accomplishment.

Such a fun time escaping three rooms at Cryptology Nottingham!! Each room (we did Ramseize, Dreamscape and Daylight Robbery) was so well themed and really transported you to the setting for the hour! My favourite is torn between daylight robbery and dreamscape as they’re both unlike any escape room I’ve ever done before! I highly recommend!!

Absolutely amazing! I have never been to an escape room before so was a little apprehensive about what to expect, but I can say I absolutely 100% had so much fun and loved it. Myself and a friend did the Daylight robbery game and the host began by taking us through the idea and rules of the game after a short chat about the building itself (also very interesting!). Then we dove in and had a total laugh trying to figure out all of the puzzles, sometimes completely overlooking the obviousness of it, ut that's all part of the game and the time pressure you feel. Logic can go out the window, but in a fun way! Afterwards the host took us back through what we had missed and different ways we could have got a bigger score, but over all we got the diamond and a quarter of a million in loot, so not a bad run for a first go! Honestly cannot recommend it enough, We are already planning our return trip to try another game!

Came here as a group of 6 work colleagues as a staff day out. We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend part of our day! We've all had experience with VR Escape Rooms before, but this "real life" one was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, it was a combination of anticipation before going in (made very immersive by Mark), mad panic trying to get as much loot as possible, hilarious frustration with each other and overall, we are itching to come back ASAP! I had no experience of escape rooms beforehand but really enjoyed both experiences - Anna was clearly very knowledgeable about each room and made sure to give us some subtle hints when we were truly stuck. Came here for teambuilding the other day and played Dreamscape, Rameseize and Daylight Robbery. Absolutely loved them all, but particularly loved dreamscape. I can't say I was any good at it (pro tip: don't do an escape room hungover) but I had so much fun along the way. Daylight robbery is perfect for people who want to do a non linear game and / or are kleptomaniacs with a knack for puzzles. Rameseize is an excellent and easy-to-follow game which I can imagine teams with children will particularly enjoy. Overall a fantastic experience. Thank you!

We did the Daylight Diamond room and it had loads of puzzles etc to try and complete in different rooms so there was plenty to get through. We all really enjoyed it and would go back to Cryptology.

I have done a few different escape rooms but the dreamscape one here was completely different to ones I have done before, You have multiple rooms to get through with a time limit. Then you have the final room. Which was very well thought out and it kept you on your heels.

The first escape room I ever played. So memorable that it made me actually quit my current job and look for employment in the escape room industry. I played The Crypt and not only was it a tricky and challenging room but it was immensely satisfying overcoming its tests and tricks. Our team of four had a blast making our escape! Every room here is top notch. All very different but all top quality. Daylight robbery is great with a large group, rameseize is well themed and dreamscape is unique. Loved the interview themed room here. There was so much to it and unlike some of the other rooms I’ve managed to escape in Nottingham in about 40 minutes, this one really did keep you on the edge of your seat right until the last minute! Not too many clues also so really felt like I was being challenged. Can’t wait to come back to try dreamscape

I went as a duo to the new Ramaseize room, we were met in character by the host - he was hilarious. The rooms are decorated really well and the puzzles are just the right amount of challenging without being impossible. Great escape room, puzzles are the right level of difficulty (also I had a party of 6 and the other rooms in Nottingham max out at 5). The fact that you can get an imperfect victory instead of just pass/fail was neat. Guide/supervisor/whatever his job title is was very friendly.

My fiancée and I visited cryptology on a whim after seeing some local press and because we fancied something different to do on our day off. Upon arrival we were greeted by Mark, the host and he quickly ran through the game scenario and background story before letting us into the escape room. For those who have never been to an escape room venue the basic principle is to solve puzzles to achieve escape or a defined objective (think Crystal maze without Richard Obrien). Without giving too much away we found the puzzles to be a fun mix of difficulties which tested our abilities across a number of disciplines. Because the theme of the room is quite high tech I was impressed at the use of technology in many of the puzzles and set pieces. As this is a timed event you're constantly up against the clock and this just added to the excitement!! Overall we had a blast as a couple and could see it working equally well in small groups of three and four. Definitely recommended.

A great fun and an in vogue thing to do for corporate team building or just a group of friends. Basically about 5 or 6 of you are locked in a room full of clues and you have to solve puzzles in order to get out. Have a drink around the corner in a bar to help you 'free your mind' and then throw yourselves at it. Have another one afterwards to discuss and laugh at what you did.
