We stayed in the Great Oak Shepherds Hut for our 7th Wedding Anniversary with dinner at Perkins in the evening and breakfast in the morning. It was truly an unbelievable experience from start to finish. The hut was so cosy and an experience in itself. We even had our own Robins visiting which was lovely (must remember some bird feed, the next time). The food at Perkins both in the evening and in the morning was delightful. 110% compliments to the chef. Very well presented and attention to detail second to none. Tasted delicious. The staff from booking stage right through to check in, drinks at the bar, dinner and breakfast are a credit to Perkins/The Carriage hall. We will most definitely be back

Had the most amazing wedding day at this stunning venue! Mel and the entire team made sure everything ran so smoothly and everything from the ceremony to the overnight stay in the shepherds huts was seamless. We had one of the tapas wedding breakfasts and everyone was saying how much they loved the food and how sociable and different the whole thing was - the mushroom risoni should not be missed! All in all, I cannot recommend them enough! Thank you so much Team Carriage Hall, you really made our day!

Overall an enjoyable venue. Location come be better signposted from the road and if you have to have new staff working events make sure they know your product range being asked "which one is southern comfort" doesn't impress for amount of money spent on a round of drinks. Food was great and the space for the event is big but not overwhelming.

As far as venues go for weddings, these ticket all the boxes for what we wanted. Lovely building and well done interior, attentive and very organised staff, accommodating to all our needs and the food was incredible. All of our guest couldn't stop commenting on how nice the food was. They allowed us some flexibility with our decorations and allowed us assist in doing up the venue but they offered to do it for us to ease the burden on us. We got married at The Carriage Hall six months ago and we are still lost for words to explain how incredibly amazing the day was! We first met with The Carriage Hall team in August 2018 when we viewed the venue and instantly knew that was where we wanted to get married. The team were very professional and efficient throughout the planning process. The regular meetings were useful in helping us to plan the order of our day, the food and entertainment etc. Nothing was too much trouble. It was an added bonus that we were able to view our venue a number of times before the big day, as our ideas evolved we were then able to visualise how they would work with the space available. On the day, everything ran smoothly and without a glitch. All of those little worries that all brides and grooms have just disappeared as we trusted the staff to do what they do best. The venue looked breathtakingly beautiful. The food and service was 5 star and many of our guests still comment on the quality of the food - the best wedding food they've ever had! We stayed in the Shepherds Huts on the night of the wedding and enjoyed breakfast at Perkins the next day. The accommodation was stunning and it felt very special to be able to stay within the grounds of the venue. We would like to give special thanks to Catherine, Mel and Deborah who organised the finer details of the day. The whole Carriage Hall team are an asset to you.

Amazing venue. Cannot thank the team enough. The girls who worked the day of the wedding were amazing. The waitresses and bar staff were insanely nice and polite. We had an amazing day and loved every minute of it. Highly recommend for events and an overnight stay in the huts was lovely. We utilised the bath and the breakfast the next morning was lovely!!!

The most beautiful venue for our wedding last April. The wedding organisers were fantastic and the whole day went smoothly without any issues. The food catered by Perkins next door was definitely a talking point for us and all our guests with every mouthful being the highest quality. Every single part of our day was magical and the stay overnight on site was luxury! We went back to the venue last week because they are using the venue as a socially distanced restaurant for Perkins and the food again did not disappoint! You know its a 5 star restaurant when you can pick anything from the menu, including things you wouldn't normally and the plates are all clean by the end! Can't recommend the wedding venue or restaurant more.

So glad to be back at Perkins, although it was in the carriage hall, I felt the sense of normality was ubiquitous and they went out of their way to make sure of that. The staff were friendly and helpful, as always and everything was excellent, furthermore, the place was immaculate, and the food was second to none. I can't wait for Perkins, my favourite restaurant to open again, its my one and only choice to entertain my corporate colleague's. That said, I would be happy to entertain guests in the present set-up. Thanks to all of the staff of which made my first eating out experience a excellent afternoon.

This is a long time coming - I feel bad even forgetting to write a review for this amazing venue! We got married here a year ago and I can't recommend it enough. The whole process was seamless, right from the time of booking. Mel, Deb's and the team were beyond fabulous. It rained pretty much all day on our wedding day which made the hall so atmospheric and twinkly. Everything was thought of and taken care of. The food was beyond amazing - we knew this was going to be one of the most important things to us when we were choosing a venue and it didn't disappoint. We are still getting compliments now! The day was topped off with a night in a shepherds hut and breakfast in the morning with some of our wedding party, which again, was AMAZING. Attending a beautiful family wedding in lovely surroundings. Excellent food & staff with clockwork organisation throughout the day. Our first group outing since lockdown & a bit dubious. Staff wore masks but guests did not although many took them but we were this side of "freedom" day.

What an amazing wedding venue!! The hall is a lovely combination of red brick and oak beams with a mezzanine floor and the outside space has beautifully landscaped gardens. The food was amazing and the staff were very attentive. The whole day was perfect !!!! They even organised the weather. I will definitely be back to visit the bistro.

Had our wedding here last weekend. We were already impressed with the effort, planning and organisation from the friendly staff at meetings. The day itself was amazing. Everything was handled by the staff seamlessly from putting up our decorations to serving us and cleaning up ready to collect our stuff in the morning after breakfast. The venue itself is well presented and great for indoor and outdoor photo opportunities. We had so many compliments on the food. The huts are cosy, well decorated and kitted out. And I feel like the price for all of this was more than reasonable! I can't recommend The Carriage Hall enough.

My partner and I had our wedding at the Carriage Hall in July. We want to say a huge thank you to all of the team for making our day so memorable. The service was first class from start to finish, everything was extremely organised , staff were hard working and professional, paying attention to every detail and ensuring our every need was met. First Sunday lunch here after a recommendation from friends. Service and food were good but the bill for 2 people for 2 courses and 2 drinks was presented as £106! An overcharge of £44! No real apology but refunded after pointing out the error. Luckily my partner spotted the obvious error- given that 2 courses should have been £20 per head. A bit disappointing and hopefully a genuine error!

I was here for my niece's wedding and everything was perfect - the staff, the food, the decoration, the organising, just everything. The rearranging of the room after the ceremony for the lunch then again for the disco in the evening was seamless - a wonderful place for a wedding.

What a great place for an intimate wedding or party. The main room is spacious but feels warm and welcoming. A decent siz3d bar is also within the main room. Upstairs has a mezzanine floor, which is great for sitting, eating and drinking. This looks over the main room below so a fab spot to watch the dancefloor. A further smaller room is available too. A lift is available as well as clean toilets. Outside they have wooden carriages for overnight accomodation. These are lovely and have great countryside views. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. Ample parking is available. Located just behind Perkins restaurant and bar, which serves great food.
