H. D.I went here with my mum and sister on Saturday for another try at looking for a dress having already tried on 7 dresses elsewhere. I am very body conscious and already had it in my head that I'll never look nice in a bridal dress. Javaid made me forget about my low self esteem and made this a truely wonderful experience. He kept my modesty, made me feel good and was just generally a knowledgeable lovely man. It really ended up being a lovely experience and I picked my dress which I felt lovely in. Thank you so much, you have no idea how much this meant.

The welcome was warming the staff were so caring and understanding of what I wanted my dream dress to look like. So long story short, I purchased my dress from a different shop, and when alterations started the seamstress could not understand my vision! I had 8 alterations in total and my dress was still not right. Feeling deflated after so many wedding cancellations due to COVID anyway, to then have my dress not going right - I went to BRIDE TO BE in tears with my dress - straight away they knew the problem. They fixed it within seconds!! Tatiana and Carla were extremely helpful and very very reassuring for a stressed out bride. I wish I had gone to them from the beginning. My wedding is in a month and I am now so excited to wear the dress of my dreams - which is all down to this amazing shop. It’s definitely a 5* from me!

She pulled lots of different dresses for the girls to try, she was super friendly, very attentive, listened to what everybody had to say but also gave the right amount of opinion needed to assist with final decisions. She was very chatty and helpful. Even asked to see my wedding dress even though I didn't buy it with them!! 10/10 recommend, just sad I already got my dress as they were so lovely!! I had my first appointment with Javaid and I think Carla (sorry in advance if I have mistaken the name). It was the very first shop I've been in, and I found the one straight away, really I didn't expect it at all. I've loved that the team really understood what I was looking for, and more importantly didn't put pressure in the choice at all! I've tried around 6/7 dresses but as soon as I saw the one I chose, I knew it was THE ONE! Thank you for everything you have done. I look forward to wear it on my wedding day :)

L. C.Bride to Be was the first bridal shop I visited and I chose it because it stocked a couple of dresses that I liked. I was dreading the day I would have to try on a wedding dress as I have recently had a baby and also have an 38H bust which I thought would limit my options.
The shop is lovely and very welcoming with a large selection of dresses. I was helped by Emma who was just brilliant. She has great ideas and even managed to shave a few inches off my waist just by changing a belt! I tried on lots of different styles and was never rushed. We all really enjoyed the experience and I found THE dress! Now I can really look forward to my wedding day.

l. s.I recently bought my wedding dress from Bride to Be after a long search. I visited the shop twice before going back to make my purchase, as well as, several trips to other bridal shops. I met with Emma on each occasion. She was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. I initially struggled to decide what style I was looking for and so I tried on lots of dresses. She listened carefully to my feedback on each dress to help hone down details/silhouettes I liked, slowly allowing me to find the right dress. What really helped to give a true idea of what a dress may look like on the wedding day was her ability to pin dresses. In many other shops, they just used clips but Emma was able to pin too, which made a real difference. She was also very helpful in showing options of how the dress could be customised. Booking appointments through their website/email was easy and they were patient with me returning three times. They were also not at all pushy. The shop has a really good selection of dresses and is well set out. Although it is an unusual location, when you enter the shop you don't realise you are in the middle of a shopping centre. It felt private and there was space for those who accompanied me. On my first visit, my young niece came along and staff were also really good with her, allowing her to look at all the dresses and be part of the experience. I highly recommend Bride to Be and look forward to my dress arriving in store.

I am a plus size bride. I have always dreaded going clothes shopping and I wasn’t holding out much hope of finding anything that would suit me!
As I was unsure what would suit me, the assistant advised me to pick a few I wanted to try on and she would pick some she thought would suit my shape.
I tried on around 8/9 dresses but the dress I loved was the second dress I had tried on, which was picked by the assistant. It was a fitted dress which I would never have chosen a dress like that for myself. I also was conscious of my arms and the dress came with a matching jacket.
I am so happy with my dress and can’t wait to wear it next year in April!!! I would not hesitate to recommend this Bridal shop for its excellent customer service!!!!

The experience was absolutely amazing and all the ladies there are so helpful and friendly. I had my appointment with Emma, I think she's brilliant, she really listened to what I was looking for and Emma actually picked my dress! She also helped me to make it my own with the addition of draped sleeves. I got a stunning veil too. Booking an appointment was really straight forward.
Jodie was looking after me. She was really nice and friendly, and she made me feel welcome as soon as I’ve walked through the door. Their selection of dresses are amazing! Although I wasn’t planning on buying a dress that day as my wedding is not till 2021, Jodie brought out a dress and I just could not leave it, so I said yes to the dress! :)
She also suggested several seamstresses for the alterations, and when I needed advice she was there to help. Nothing seems too much trouble.
I would highly recommend Bride to Be to any bride looking to find their dream dress. :)

Emma (Em) helped me and straight away knew what dresses to put me in. The first one I and my team absolutely loved but we carried on to be sure. Nothing was too much trouble and the guidance and reassurance put me completely at ease. Having tried on a good range of dresses we all knew dress number one was THE dress. I wanted to be sure so we agreed to go and have some food to think it over. There was no pressure from anyone at all and it was appreciated this was a big decision. Needless to say later on we returned and said yes to the dress! The team were all excited for me and clearly truly care about their clients. As Emma was in appointments she kindly introduced me to Dawn and Stephanie who let me step into my dress one last time before my measurements and order went in. I honestly can’t thank the team enough. I was a little daunted going in but they make the experience wonderful and very special. Thank you so much ladies!

I'd had a pretty unsuccessful day wedding dress shopping so I thought I would see what they had to offer. I didn't have an appointment but they saw me anyway. Their selection of gowns is fantastic. The staff were all so helpful and encouraging and most importantly, very honest about which dress suited me best! I bought the first one I tried on - it is beautiful and I am totally in love with it. I can't wait for the wedding day! E. J.I first contacted Bride to Be in March 2018 to book an appointment to start trying on dresses in May 2018. The service was excellent right from the beginning! I was accommodated in every aspect, able to book an appointment time quickly and easily that suited me perfectly. I described to Emma what I was looking for in a dress and she picked out a range of shapes and styles to suit me. Once we’d narrowed down the shape I tried on around 10 dresses and picked out 2 that I liked the most. I had other dress shops to go and look at and there was absolutely no pressure to choose a dress right then and there which was lovely. I ended up booking another appointment when they were having a preview of the gowns for next year. Emma brought out my two favourite gowns from last time and some new ones that I liked from the new selection. I absolutely fell in love with one of the gowns and chose my dream dress! Emma was so lovely, bringing out the prosecco to celebrate!!

B. M.Had a fantastic experience at Bride to Be Reading. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, even when my Mum had forgotten to confirm our appointment. After learning that my Mum and sister had to drive home to Devon that day, Emma and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make time for us to have our appointment - even though the mistake was 100% ours. The range of different dresses is wonderful, plenty of different styles and sizes to try on. The only tiny (insignificant) criticism I can think of is that the dressing rooms are a bit smaller than a few other places which I went, but it didn't make any difference to the overall experience. I found my dress on the first appointment, but felt I needed to come back another time before making a decision. When I came back I loved it even more and was sure I'd found the right dress. The staff were all very accommodating, particularly to my mum's request that I not be shown any prices whatsoever. They were also happy for my mum to make payment over the phone as she was not with me when I made my final choice. I love the fact that all the alterations are done in-house, as it feels more streamlined and secure. Would 100% recommend.

I booked my appointment in March 2020 and I was able to bring my mum along. It was such an amazing experience. I would say I am a plus sized bride and already had in my head that I wasn't going to find the dress of my dreams. Still, I tried to be positive. Having already tried on dresses elsewhere, I was a little uneasy. When I got to the shop, I was greeted by a lovely gentleman who made sure I felt comfortable whilst there. I was then introduced to someone who would help me find dresses to try on. She was very helpful and even pushed me out of my comfort zone to try something I never would've picked myself. That day, I found the most stunning dress. I didn't feel pressured to buy there and then but how could I not when it was literally the one! I was not rushed, I could admire how I looked in the mirror for as long as I liked. It's safe to say, tears were shed from myself and my mum. We bought the dress, a veil and a jacket to cover my worries. I felt so beautiful. Lockdown then happened I was very happy to have placed my order for my dress. Fast forward a few months and I'm needing my first fitting. I phoned the shop and the gentleman was very kind and explained all the new procedures that would be taking place during my fitting. He explained about wearing a mask during the appointment and that I could only bring 1 guest. If I had any questions, I could call him back and he could help me! We get to my appointment time, and there is no one else around - you literally get the entire shop to yourself! You ring the doorbell so he can let you in. I was then directed to a hand sanitising station where myself and my guest could have some. He wore a face shield and we wore our own face masks. Although I never imagined wearing a face mask during a dress appointment, I wouldn't say it was intrusive. I hardly noticed I was wearing one. The shop was very safe and continues to be now. I could visually see and I experienced the new things that had been implanted due to the virus. I was/am very happy about my experiences. I thought I would be nervous but I would say I wasn't at all! I felt so at ease! Brides shouldn't feel discouraged due to the new guidelines, because Bride To Be have made changes to make sure that brides still get their dress shopping experience. It's a magical experience and make note, Bride To Be have gone above and beyond to make sure that the needs of brides are catered for. I would 100% recommend for brides make an appointment. It's an experience you don't want to miss out on.

Emma was brilliant with me and so patient. I had already emailed before hand with a list of dresses I liked from the website, Emma had these ready for me when I arrived but also allowed me to have a look around the shop to see if anything else caught my eye - and boy did it.

There was such a variety of styles and nothing was too much trouble, we even tried on a few veils with the dress so I could see what it would look like. Having the dedicated one on one time in your own space within the shop also really helped, and we were given a glass of prosecco once I’d said yes to the dress which was a lovely touch :) would definitely recommend Bride to Be. My sister also got her dress from here 5 years ago and had just as good experience.

The moment I stepped in the shop, I felt at home and the girls are all so lovely in there. I was actually on my own the first time I tried the dresses, and Emma was amazing in already having the selection I'd asked to try on, and in picking out other styles too. If you are getting married and you have not been to this store you must go.Living in Reading i felt i needed to go elsewhere to get my dress but i was completely wrong and i went out of Reading and i did not have a great experience at all. Bride to be Bridal boutique has friendly staff who have the patience of saints. I had no clue what dress i wanted and Emma/ Javaid took their time and went through all the styles with me and did not rush me at all. Emma gives her honest opinion on dresses and she is very good at picking styles so if you have no clue don't worry Emma has you covered. The atmosphere here is so relaxed and the only mention on money is to see what your budget is for your dress. You will not be rushed into making a decision on the dress there and then you can take your time, but stock does change so not too much time!!
Javaid is an absolute gem his phone manner is incredible as he called me when i made my first appointment and it felt like i knew him for years!!!! i can not sing their praises enough!! AMAZING STAFF/ AMAZING STORE and i found my AMAZING DRESS. Thanks for a fantastic experience xxxx

D. D.My experience at Bride To Be was a lovely one! Having never been in a wedding dress boutique or even tried a wedding dress on before, Emma and the team made me feel very comfortable and confident from the moment I walked in.
As soon as we got escorted to our area of the boutique, Emma gave me and my family the chance to walk around the store and pick out dresses as well as picking out her own. She always asked me how I felt about the dress before she asked my family their thoughts which I feel is important and the fact she involved my family meant a lot to me. Emma listened to my thoughts about every dress and picked out ones based on my preferences. She also encouraged me to try a completely different style dress to eliminate it and I am so glad I did. I actually liked all of the dresses I tried on and so I was struggling to say exactly what I did not like so much about each one - Emma made this easier by asking specific questions about each dress to help me realise what I liked and did not like.
I felt so comfortable in the store which I appreciate a lot, shopping for THE dress can be daunting but I would do it all over again with these lovely ladies. They were all so kind and complimentary. Once I said 'YES' to the most beautiful dress, me and my family were given a glass of champagne to celebrate and my family were allowed to take photos of me in the dress. Emma also offered to take a group picture of me and my family.

The measuring of the dress and paperwork part went very quick and was not dragged out at all. All of the payment agreement was explained properly and I was given lots of information to take away with me including preferred photographer details ect.

L. W.Yesterday was my first time dress shopping and with covid and the new measures I was incredibly nervous about how the consultation would go. The staff at Bride to Be were extremely welcoming, attentive and friendly. Despite the new circumstances and only being able to have one person in my entourage the whole atmosphere was incredibly relaxed. I was able to facetime my cousin and maid of honour, which was so encouraged and supported through interaction by my consultant. Nobody missed out on anything, it was just fantastic. Saying yes to my dress still felt just as special as it would have done before covid and having to wear masks made no difference.

C. A.My mum and I visited in January without realising we needed to book an appointment, but all of the girls were amazing and managed to squeeze me in between appointments.
First we were seen by Emma, she was so lovely and helped me pick out a bunch of different style dresses but had an appointment she had to attend to half way through (completely understandable as I didn't make an appointment) and Stephanie took over. Steph was just as lovely and attentive as Emma and again, helped me pick a bunch of different dresses. They were very open about pricing and made us aware of dresses that were going to be in an upcoming sale as well.
In the end, I think I asked every single girl that worked there which dress I should choose - I feel like I got genuine, honest responses from everyone and I don't regret my choice at all.

L. S.Could not have asked for a better experience trying on my dress! I have been dreaming about this for the last 3 months of lockdown, and to be honest was quite nervous about the appointment as I have not been shopping for months. However, Javaid and the team could not have done more to put my mind at ease, and I had an incredible experience.
There are lots of safety measures in place, but it doesn't detract from the experience at all. Staff are wearing transparent masks so you are all safe but can still see facial expressions. Dresses are sprayed at cleaned at the end of the appointment, and you are separate from other customers to adhere to social distancing.
Javaid took the time to listen to what I wanted, and then carefully selected dresses for me to try which suited my figure and wedding style better than anything I had come up with prior to the appointment. He has a great eye for detail and knows what works well with your shape and colouring, and is happy to advise and help. The store is gorgeous with a great selection, I had a fab time and can't wait to come back and try my dress on again :) Thank you Bride To Be!

I had a fairly fixed idea of what dress I wanted, to the point that the team offered to order it in especially for me, having not yet tried any on I was placed into the skilled hands of Emma.... she listened first to what I found appealing in certain dresses, she got a measure really quickly of my personality and style, bought me out a dress that would have met the similar criteria of the one I was so set on, listened with what I did and didn’t like, with each dress she edged closer and closer to the dress that was meant for me! I’ll say now it is not like the dress I thought I wanted!!! She knew what gowns would best suit my frame, she picked up on the tiniest of details that I’d umm’d and ahhh’d about for each dress I tried.... until the bingo moment where I stepped into a dress that found a flood of unexpected emotion washing over me and a usually verbose me stumped for words just staring in the mirror (I don’t do mirrors normally!) she slipped a veil that couldn’t have matched the dress and me better! (So obviously I bought that too!)
I really didn’t know what to expect, wedding dress shopping as a girl who rocks around in pumps and jeans 99% of the time.... and doing so during COVID! I was scared that I’d feel misplaced or pressure or a bit inadequate..... fears that were so totally unfounded! I walked out of there buzzing with my dad saying ‘well that was easy!!’
Our calls and messages whilst waiting for the dress and notifying of change of date etc etc were met with the familiar warmth and friendliness. So accommodating and kind!
Well Saturday I went back to try the dress on again pre alterations, and the flood of emotion washed over me again. The lady with me (I’m so sorry I didn’t grab your name- I was post night shift tired and giddy with emotion!) was friendly, bubbly, funny.... made me feel like a princess (and made me promise not to come back like a stick for my fitting..... As I was formulating a gym and diet plan to shift the inch I secretly kinda knew I’d put on over lock down! The tape measure just confirmed it!) the love for the shoes I’d bought with me from another lady in the shop was so lovely too!
I can’t express enough what a pleasant experience this has been, you feel like they are on your journey with you, that they are invested in ensuring you feel like a princess in your dress.... with such a huge collection of beautiful gowns (can’t I have lots of dresses?!) By 9:30am the next day I was booked in for an appointment that day. Lorraine showed me around and was so very helpful and patient with me as I tried on different styles of dresses. There was one dress I tried on twice, went away and was able to come back to same day to try the dress AGAIN at which point I decided that was definitely the one!

P. M.I found Bride to Be via a Google search as I needed to find a bridal boutique stocking Essense of Australia gowns as close to Swindon as possible and easy to access via a train journey. My daughter had tried on a particular Essense gown back in Suffolk and had fallen in love with it but needed to use a bridal boutique closer to home in order to attend fittings. From the first email contact to the final fitting we couldn’t have been more impressed with the service we recieved from the staff.
I think what impressed us the most was the ‘can do’ attitude of all the staff from sourcing a sample of the dress my daughter wanted (as the shop did not stock that gown themselves) to the ordering and alterations. Practical, realistic and no nonsense advice gave my daughter confidence in her choice of dress. The experience of the staff shone through at all stages. The alterations were perfect - and we were shown how to corset the back of the dress in detail - taking videos of the staff fitting my daughter into the dress. This was to prove essential as the bride’s father had to get her into her dress as we were running late and everyone else, including bridesmaids and Mother of the Bride had left for the venue!
The result was a stunning, confident bride in a beautiful, much loved dress. I cannot recommend the boutique and staff enough. Excellent.

Then I tried my first dress on, and really liked it, but things about were not quite right, so then Carla suggested I try the dress on I said no too.
That was it, that was my dress, as soon as I put it on, I fell in love with it, my mum cried, maid of honour had a tear in her eye, then we added the veil and a sash belt!! That was it, I said yes to the dress.
