K. A.Before we started I thought this was quite expensive but it turned out to be one of the best value activities we have ever done. We were up in the beautiful trees of Manor Farm for over 3 hours and it was amazing! Syd had everything set up prior to our arrival and, after a quick but comprehensive safety talk, a demo and an instruction, we were off! My 9 year old and 7 year old kids loved every minute and can't wait to go back to climb and swing around! I loved the feeling of privilege and wonder being high up in the canopy of these magnificent trees.... and then tearing down on the zip line afterwards! Syd's meticulous safety standards, huge knowledge, great way with the kids, amazing stories and an all-round lovely guy, plus the fact that this is an incredible activity for the mind, body and soul, means that we can't wait for the next time! Oh and it's soooooooo much fun too! :)
J. A.I first saw Syd and his team at Cranleigh wood fair. They had a long queue of people waiting to climb the trees there. I didn't get to say hello then so I got in touch via email afterwards. After a short back and forth and chat it became very obvious that Syd is an amazing chap, full of passion for what he does and belief that what he is facilitating people to do is of huge benefit.
We decided to get him down to our trees in our small woodland and invite some friends for a climb. First up were a brother and sister combo. Brother (6) climbed up on his own steam but sister (4) was a little small for that and so was harnessed in and then winched up by Syd. Initially she didn't want to do it, but when she was able to get higher than her brother without any effort it wasn't long before she was screaming 'I want to go higher!'. She ended up about 3 foot off the highest anchor point around 20m up; one of the highest of the day!
Next up was a very lovely lady in her 60s who wasn't sure about going up either. But under Syd's expert instruction and care she was soon climbing up to an impressive height, surprising us onlookers and herself. Really lovely to see.
Others, including me, went up and all enjoyed spending time with the trees. There really is something quite special about just hanging out in the canopy. Sharing space and time with these giants of nature that are so critical to all life. Being up there you feel a connection with the tree that you don't get at ground level.
Words can't express how good it is. In fact I would go so far as to say that it is important that more people are able to experience it. If more people can feel that connection with trees, that has to be a good thing for the future of people and for the future of trees.
P. B.This was a fantastic experience. We were a little apprehensive to begin with but Syd put us at our ease. You just go at your own pace and do as much or as little as you want with Syd showing you the ropes as it were. He is very enthusiastic and very kindly set up a pod for us as well. There was just the 2 of us and we had a morning with Syd. I even had a little lie down at the top of the tree in a hammock in the canopy. Would definitely recommend for a different experience.

R. T.Absolutely amazing!! I booked the morning taster for my partner and I while we were on holiday in New Forest. I was initially nervous as I have always been scared of heights and was relieved when Syd was very understanding and calming. There was no expectation to climb high, or at all, if I didn't want to! Having said this, I wasn't scared at all. There was something different about climbing in the trees that meant I was able to push past any reservations and really enjoy the experience. There is something for everyone with this, if you want adrenaline you can climb to the highest point, drop quickly to the ground upside down or swing from tree to tree. If you want a more relaxed, meditative experience, you can float above the ground without pushing yourself too far, or have a nap in the tree pod hanging from the tree canopy. I really recommend tree climbing to anyone in the area, especially with the current state of the world making everything feel more stressful - you could use the break and tree climbing is the perfect way to relax.
G. S.I love my time learning how to climb with Syd, I am 56 years old and really did not think I would be able to do such a thing. I was extremely nervous at first and thought I would be to fat to fit in the harness, but that was not an issue. With each climb I did my confidence grow, Syd was very clear with his instructions and I felt safe in his hands, and before I knew it I was half way up a tree and loving every minute of it. I would recommend everyone to give it a go, as you are back in touch with nature and smiling from ear to ear.

Syd made us feel very safe and is very knowledgeable in what he does. Would highly recommend. My son thoroughly enjoyed himself he has climbed trees as a young child but never as high as he did today we will definitely be doing this again that's for sure
M. F.Wonderful experience tree climbing for our two granddaughters 6yr & 9yr today. Syd’s passion for trees and tree climbing shone through. He was calm knowledgeable and encouraging without being pushy. A very well equipped and professional set up that caters for all age groups. Cannot recommend enough, a must do experience.
S. D.First timers! We're both tree lovers but neither of us had climbed before so we were a tad nervous but very excited. The booking process was smooth and Syd was responsive to queries and sent a reminder a few days before which is always a helpful nudge!
When we got to the site we saw that Syd had set the area up so that we could all socially distance throughout. He explained the equipment slowly and in a really relaxed way, making it clear there was no rush. I felt completely at ease throughout and oh my god the actual climbing was incredible! I was completely focused on the experience and the present moment, and felt a real sense of clarity of mind. Afterwards as we came down to earth we enjoyed a distanced cup of lemon tea. Syd is the perfect host and makes a lot of effort with the little extras. Thoroughly recommend and we will be back! I was absolutely buzzing that night and still am a few days later!

No expectations to do it all but support for this who needed it. Would definitely recommend for nervous and confident climbers. In fact my daughter is now asking when she can have a go!
