This venue is STUNNING! I captured a wedding at Foxtail Barns last year and fell in love with the place! The ceremony room is just gorgeous with all the natural light which makes for perfect photos! I would 100% recommend this venue, the team were great and the surrounding grounds give you endless photo opportunities!

As soon as we drove down the drive towards the venue we knew this was ‘the one’. Sally showed us round the first ever time and we were sold there and then and booked our date. At this time the venue wasn’t even built and it was a pile of rubble in a car park but we were 100% willing to put our trust in this because it was everything we wanted and we are so glad we did. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue for our special day! Foxtail barns have literally through of everything and the fact it is no corkage as well is an added bonus. Our guests were in awe of the whole place. We had so many compliments about the venue. Everything went perfectly. Our wedding planner was changed just over a month before our wedding day and we never got to meet Hannah until the day. As you can imagine this is slightly worrying but as soon as I saw Hannah on the day my nerves were put to ease and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to take control of our day. Hannah was an absolute pleasure and handled everything amazingly! The room was set up exactly as we requested and everything ran so smoothly. We couldn’t have wished for a better wedding planner and are so grateful for everything she did for us. We also want to give a special shout out to Sally who showed us round a few times before our wedding day and she is so lovely and down to earth we struck up a little friendship and felt like we had known her forever. I was so happy to see her when she rocked up to the dressing room on the morning of my wedding! We can’t thank Hannah, Sally and the Foxtail/Tawny staff enough for everything they did to make our dream wedding happen and be as perfect as it was. You guys are the best and Foxtail Barns is the most dreamy venue that we would recommend to everyone and anyone for their wedding day! Love the new Mr & Mrs Smith 🤍✨

Stunning venue next to The Tawny. While the grounds are stunning it's a little sad as a wedding guest you aren't allowed to have a wonder around the grounds but I do get that this may not entirely be practical due to the scope of the space. Foxtail Barnes is very tidy and well formed with an immaculate ceremony orangery. Bar on site was reasonably priced for such a venue but does not sell any shots - we dearly missed Sambuca and a Jaegerbomb at this wedding! Immaculate space and well presented staff who were very attentive.

Fantastic location, a little hidden gem, with new lodges being built with stunning countryside and lake views, and plenty of quirky sampler huts for all of the wedding guests, lovey restaurant and scenery lighting at night so definitely worth a walk around day and night. Lost of history and hidden little coves and things to find as you wander, great for kids and adults alike. The prices reflect the quality and investment put in to this venue so check it out and make sure your budget fits.

The most magical day I could have imagined. We got married on 11th July, only just over a week after opening. The staff from us booking the venue, till collecting our stuff the day after the wedding have been incredible. Nothing was too much to ask, approachable, friendly and professional. Zara went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly all day, she was a brilliant calming influence on the day. The venue is simply beautiful, from us booking the venue based on plans, it was even better than we could have imagined. Also the gardens present the most perfect picturesque location for photographs. A few days before the wedding our best man got covid, so we ended up having Bonnie our black lab as ring bearer. They was incredibly accommodating and how special for her to be such an important part of the day walking down the aisle. Nellie our other lab joined after the ceremony for pictures, they are family so it was so important to us that we could have pictures with them! The caterer Jenkinsons, were also brilliant, the food was amazing and they are a great choice for their wedding caterers. The option to have no corkage drinks is just the icing on the cake, we got engaged in France so we sourced our own wine from the vineyards near where we got engaged. The wedding accommodation is fab, clean, comfortable and a bit quirky! I cannot recommend all the staff and the venue enough. Thank you for my magical wedding day, Foxtail will forever be in our hearts!

What an absolutely beautiful venue. Set in stunning grounds. The woodland cabins are set out practically and use the sapce to the max. You have everything you need for your stay. They are compact but so comfortable. The staff are an absolute credit to you. They were all so smartly dressed, polite and attentive. I have to mention the toilets inside the venue as everything has been thought of. Its the little touches that made them stand out. The toiletries and products left out for use is a great idea. The wooden shelf over the toilet roll holders is another well thought out idea as you always need somewhere to place your handbag. Like I say its the little well thought out things that made it stand out. Absolutely wonderful place to stay.

Attended a wedding here recently and what more can I say than WOW! The venue is absolutely stunning, food amazing and staff are so lovely. The wedding specialist Kayleigh went above and beyond and she wore a smile all day. Super friendly and made the day run like clockwork. Huge thumbs up from me! Well done Foxtail barns!

Fantastic wedding venue, had a lovely time to be fair. Only constructive criticism I would offer is that the hall where we had our reception/ food could have done with blinds on the roof windows to block the sun from roasting us while we waited for the 3 course meal . But apart from that brilliant 👏 👌

A beautiful venue in a remote location. Great facilities for eating, drinking and dancing. Lovely gazebo. The service was friendly and efficient; a good time all-round!

The venue is gorgeous - Sally was very helpful. I Would recommend the venue for a Wedding but would stay away from the Woodland lodges ! They are suitable for an active fit person who enjoys glamping maybe ?? More comfort and an equally good breakfast could be had at the Premier or other hotel 17 minutes away . We are three adults - our son has special needs . I booked a room for 3 adults at the earliest time available which was 12 noon. I was disapointed given that it meant we couldn't get ready at the venue. When I arrived at the Woodland lodge that evening it was soooo small I realised that we could never have got ready in there anyway!. It was barely big enough for one person let alone 3 adults .( We were unable to book a family pod as there were only 2 and they were needed by other family members). The isle was so narrow that if one person stood up in it every one else had to get on the bed or the sofa-bed for them to pass. Absolutely no room for suit cases . The double bed is against the wall so you have to climb over the other person if you need to get in or out of bed during the night. It was so hot and clammy we had to sleep with the door open . No room even for a bin in the loo/ shower space For anyone disabled or eldery it is absolutely a no go! No facilities or effort made to cater for them at all! The gravel path to these Woodland lodges will not do your shoes any good and at worse you could break an ankle. While the venue was lovely if I had to do it again ( which I won't ) they would have to pay me to stay in a Woodland lodge. It would be better if these lodges were not available and then guests would stay elsewhere where they would get much more space, greater comfort and much better value for money even if they had to pay for a taxi. If you can get a lodge at the Tawny go for it but if you can't stay elsewhere. I have to admit I misunderstood the info on the lodges and thought only Woodland lodges were available ro the Wedding guests until today when I was writing this review .Gutted ! Staying in a Tawny lodge would have made such a different overall experience for us and the venue would have been given a 5* review. I have received a lovely response to this review from the venue owners so I have rated the venue and not the Woodland. huts. My advise is when you look at the lodge sectiom on thier website scroll to the botom of the page where it refers to the Tawny accommodation which ia also available to the WEDDING GUESTS. That is the part that I misunderstood. 😒😒

Fairly new place, fabulous location but staff need to read contracts, improvements need to be made. Especially in health and safety I'm sure candles on floor should not be allowed especially when children present. But beatiful all the sane

Attended a wedding recently, amazing venue but organisation needs looking at,times given not adhered to and lots of waiting about. Food was very mediocre and obviously not cooked on site,could have been hotter and when items are missing an explanation would have been good as majority of people ordered beef and Yorkshire which was missing from all meals. Only hope that the more functions they do things will improve to the standards of the actual venue

Words can’t describe how magical our wedding day was here. I can’t thank Sally and the Foxtail team enough. They worked so hard to make the day as wonderful as it was. The venue has some really clever features such as the bridal dressing room which ensure a smooth day. Would highly recommend The Smooth criminals as a music choice and arch in a box who added the finishing touches. Stunning venue, incredible service. I wish I could re-live this day. I cannot overstate who amazing the team were during the prep for the big day, responsive to e-mails and quick to offer support and guidance. The day wouldn’t have been the same without Sally. Attended a wedding the location is beautifuland the rooms to stay over are quite noval and purpose fitting however I do think how they arrange just a small room off the ceramony area is a little crampt also the registrar leaves a lot to be desired They are stood at the front with the bride and grooms details and cant even get their names correct also Im sure who did the ceremony today must have been an ex prison warden no feeling what so ever very matter of fact The option to stay over night is not available as they have so many weddings booked you cant stay plus you cant get your rooms till late on in the day of the wedding The day was lovely and the place is fantastic but would not be my 1st choice a hotel is much better

A beautiful wedding venue, but something was missing. I can’t put my finger on it but I felt it was a little bland.

We have recently stayed in one of the overnight huts for my sons wedding. We were lucky enough to be able to check in at 12 for a 2 pm wedding. I had fortunately been able to do the basics of getting ready before we arrived. I needed to do my hair and put my outfit on. The huts lack a mirror over the little dressing table where there are sockets. It also lacks a full length mirror. One could be put on the bathroom door. There was only a small mirror on the inside of the bathroom door, I had to have this door open and plug curling tongs into a socket in the wardrobe space. Which was a little awkward, I had to keep closing the door to get to the tongs. I do understand that a lot of people arrive and are ready for the wedding, but for a later wedding, and if you are travelling a distance, you need these little touches. Needs a little bit of fine tuning. We had a lovely nights sleep, the bed was so comfy. Tea and coffee etc provided and lovely soft towels. The walk way from the huts to the venue is like a black hardcore rough path. For people who are here for a wedding, with nice shoes on etc, it is not suitable. Also for rolling your suitcase along this isn’t possible. We did ask when we arrived if luggage could be transported by the little golf buggy that was parked at the end of the path, but was told this was not possible. My son and daughter in law were told when viewing the venue that this would be tarmac? This path was also tricky for some of the older members of our family party. We did speak to someone the following day with regard to this and they said they are looking at doing something with the paths and the car park. I understand they want it to look rustic, so maybe have a solid path down the middle so you have something stable to walk on. The larger suite for the bride and groom is also at the top of this rough path. We understand this is a new venue so there will be some teething problems, so this is constructive criticism and by no means a complaint. I’m sure these things will be sorted, and it did not spoil our overnight stay. The wedding could not of been any better. (Except maybe for the rain, but this is Britain) The grounds at Foxtail barns are stunning, and we had a lovely walk around the next day. The lodges positioned around the grounds do look lovely. We cannot fault the venue, the wedding was amazing the staff and service was second to none. The lady who was overseeing the wedding, Carly, did an amazing job and couldn’t of been more helpful. Our breakfast the next morning in the Tawny was lovely. We had to wait for a few things to be replenished, but this was not a problem. As we were part of the wedding party we were accommodated in the upstairs part of the restaurant. For a wedding setting it is beautiful, and I’m sure As a staycation it’s a lovely restful location. It was a fabulous wedding, and a day we will never forget.

Was a wedding guest here a few weeks back and it’s a brilliant venue, was massively impressed with everything. Stayed overnight at one of the outdoor lodges and that was also great. Left a great impression and helped contribute to a fantastic wedding.

What a venue, what a day. We can't recommend this place enough to get married at. The venue is amazing the surrounds are stunning and the organisation is the best. If you are looking for that rural location where you can piece together all the parts that add up to your dream day then this place will help make it perfect.

Lovely place to have your wedding and or reception. Make sure you have your debit card with you if you're attending a function and make sure there's plenty of money in you bank as the drinks are very expensive.

I would like to visit it when it is finished going from the reception to the wedding room to the the pods wasn't very nice, the paths were uneven however it is set in some of the most beautiful surroundings there is.
