Reviews of Petite Fairytale Boutique

Went to the Petit Fairytale Boutique today with my five year old daughter. The fairies were lovely and friendly and despite being a bit shy at first, the lovely faries made sure my daughter had the time of her life. We booked a vegan afternoon tea ahead of our visit and it was honestly one of the best afternoon teas I've had, really thoughtful vegan alternatives and very tasty. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon!

I've been here a few times and nothing is ever too much trouble for the lovely staff. My three year old daughter absolutely loves coming here, and enjoys eating all of the different treats they have on offer (obviously). It's nice that I can get her something that looks terribly sugary but isn't actually too bad, while I can load up on gluten free treats, too. They've got a very creative and magical menu, and really put a lot of effort into presentation. But it's not just form over function - everything tastes great, and you get good service, too.
Highly recommend!

I am not a big fan of cup cake, but their chocolate orange cup cake was really nice and we enjoyed nice tea time. Staff were friendly and with very cute costume to create the suitable atmosphere. Looking forward to having afternoon tea next time with 48 hours in advance booking!!?

Sat down at a table outside, laden with the last persons crockery, the table next to us was the same.
I had to ask for the table to be cleared, then again for the menu.
Ordered a jam sandwich, chicken and stuffing sandwich and a cheese and onion chutney panin, and tuna mayo sandwich.
Waited a good 40 minutes for the food to come. The panini hardly had any cheese in it.
Considering it was Saturday afternoon and people were wanting to sit down but put off by lack of tables being cleared.
I went to pay, and then had to wait for a good 5 minutes whilst 2 girls were making a coffee..
Not the best experience when you have a toddler and child with you.

Had the most wonderful experience here, my 5year old niece was pampered and spoilt rotten 💓 the staff are amazing and attentive even sent home extra fairy dust for her little brother. The price was affordable and worth every penny will definitely be coming back.

We took our granddaughter here for a treat, and she loved it! We had afternoon tea, she had a make over and she did build-a-bear. She had a smile on her face the entire time we were there. They were Covid-safe and the fairies were all delightful. A magical place to take you little girl for any special occasion, or to just pop in for a cuppa and cake.

We popped in today on the off chance there was space for my daughter, baby and I to have some treats in the cafe. The service was absolutely incredible all the staff are so lovely and welcoming. My daughter is 6 and really struggles with anxiety, something like this would usually be a bit of a trigger for her but with the welcome she got she was at ease instantly. The food was amazing and everything about the entire venue is just magical. Thank you so much for making our 6 year old daughter beyond happy!

We celebrated my daughter's sixth birthday here over the weekend and I'm sorry to say that I found the whole experience rather disappointing.
When I booked the party months ago, I was told we would be contacted to confirm all the final details. Nobody ever contacted me, so finally the Monday before the weekend of the party I had to ring them to go through things.
On arrival with our big party balloon and the birthday girl in her fairy costume (and with the other party guests and their parents standing around not knowing what to do), none of the staff even looked our way, even though the party was due to begin in just a few minutes. After a few minutes, I finally had to go into the back of the cafe to track down a member of staff to ask where we were supposed to go and when things would start.
At this point, we were told we'd have to wait whilst a manicure was finished (!) and then someone would then be with us. I have to say that I became pretty annoyed at this, given that I was paying £150 an hour to give my little girl a party to remember and it was supposed to be starting....now.
We finally did get some attention, and one of the fairies took the girls into the party room and got things going. But even then, nobody remembered my daughter's name (which had been in the booking calendar for 6 months) and things just felt a bit unmanaged and poorly communicated, with the girls drifting off because they were getting hungry and thirsty.
Even though we booked the party for the lunchtime slot (12:30 to 2:30), no food or drink appeared until nearly 2 pm. This nearly ruined things to be honest, because most of the girls had not eaten lunch and a few were starting to get hangry!
The final nail in the coffin came when it was time to pay the final balance and I was given a bill with a number of add-ons listed that had already been paid for by the other parents. So a terse discussion then ensued as some parents came to my defence asking why I was being charged for the drinks they'd already paid for.
Thankfully, most of this was lost on my daughter and she enjoyed the party. However it did spoil the experience for me, as I frankly had expected better for the money we were spending.
It feels as though this place is confused about whether it is a party venue or a cafe, and that they need more staff dedicated to making the birthday parties feel special, memorable, and well organised (or more training about good customer service and communication).
The fairies are doing their best, but they are quite young girls who are unfortunately spread too thin for the number of customers and thus this great idea doesn't feel nearly as well executed as it could. Giving 3 stars because the girls had fun, but it would be 2 otherwise!
