Selden Barns was the first venue we visited and to be honest nothing we visited afterwards compared! We knew we had found our venue! We loved having two separate spaces for our ceremony and reception – both incredible farm buildings that were already beautifully decorated with white drapes and fairy lights. The outdoor space, courtyard and surrounding scenery of fields and the South Downs was breath-taking. Knowing I could get ready at the venue in the morning and then stay the night in the bridal suite made the day more relaxing as I didn’t need to worry about timing and travel. We were blessed with amazing weather but it was reassuring that even if it had rained we had space to make sure we could still do everything we wanted to do on our day. Selden Barns were absolutely incredible to work with since day one of booking our Wedding day with them. They responded very quickly to any queries we had and having a wedding coordinator throughout the planning process and on the actual day made everything run so smoothly. It put us at ease knowing we were in good hands! Our Wedding day came and it was everything we could have wished for. The whole day ran so smoothly and this was down to the Selden Barns Staff. The time keeping for the whole day was flawless. They were also a tremendous help in the setting up and clearing away of our decorations. The drinks package that you can have was excellent value and we had plenty of alcohol for our guests throughout the day with the staff ensured our glasses were never empty! The costs of the drinks at the bar were also great value. It was so lovely having some our close family and friends stay the night in the exceptional B&B rooms and the morning after we were treated to the most amazing breakfast! We had an excellent stay and being able to have accommodation at our venue meant the world to us. We'd definitely recommend Selden Barns to anyone thinking of getting married there and will absolutely be back to stay in the B&B some time in the future.

This is an amazing place to stay. Very scenic surroundings in an old farmhouse. Spacious accommodation, everything you need. We stayed two nights and excellent value for money. Lovely breakfast cooked by Andy the chef while you're seated at the table. Tailor made to your liking. Highly recommend and we hope to return.

After looking around Selden Barns and talking to Charlotte it was clear nothing else was likely to match up for our wedding. It didn’t, so we booked and it was perfect. Everything was relaxed - we were able to make the day exactly as we wanted it to be and nothing was too much trouble. The location is stunning and the space is brilliant, from the gorgeous ceremony room to the big function space, to the outside area, to the fact that people can stay over and have breakfast with you the next morning. Thank you to Charlotte for getting me through from beginning to end and staying so very calm, and also to Naomi for all your help the day before and on the day.

Bit difficult to find, with practically no signage on main road or on the single track Selden Lane. But nice enough once you get there

Without a doubt this is a real gem of a venue. Perfect for weddings to corporate functions or bed and breakfast. Rooms are well presented, clean and very comfortable indeed. Excellent farmhouse breakfast served by friendly and efficient staff. I have been to many weddings held in hotels (all in one location) type. Selden Barns is unique and has everything. Rolling countryside, perfect for photos etc, surrounded by open fields with horses roaming. Buildings are stunning and very tastefully furnished, and have all amenities needed. In-house chef is attentive and accommodating to requests to ensure guests are fully catered for to a very high standard. Access to venue location wise is straight forward and plenty of local bnb options if required. recently enjoyed my third overnight stay for a corporate Christmas party and was just as good as my first stay and every time get a better. As a wedding venue all services are available from flowers to bar staff, entertainment and will always go the extra mile to ensure you and your guests are fully catered for.

This is a converted series of old flint buildings and a large barn. The decor and fittings were well presented and the wedding event was well organized. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The wedding barn is about 100 metres from the reception area. I wonder how the wedding party get on if it pours with rain?

Beautiful venue and a good price, Chloe and Charlotte were especially attentive and helped us plan the day as well as be on hand for the actual day for any enquiries, they co-ordenated with all suppliers on the day so we could just enjoy the day and not worry about little details such as if the caterers had arrived etc. The only things we feel need mentioning are as follows: Taking away table drinks after the meal. Although I understand the reason behind this it does seem a bit strange considering we pay for them, in fairness though they did pour any open bottles into glasses to be drunk. The strict 90DB limit on noise, this was, in my opinion, too quiet. As a result not many people danced and I felt the main reason for this was that the music needed to be louder. For some context, music at 90db is quiet enough that you can talk at normal volume and still be heard fairly clearly. Overall though it was a lovely venue and an amazing day which went perfectly. .
