I've never used an umbrella company before and I was a little concerned that being pushed to use I4 by employers, meant they were probably quite expensive. But after shopping around I've realised I4 are very reasonable compared to some umbrella companies. I had the choice to go sole trader but there's so much to consider being a veterinary nurse. I4 take care of everything, even things I had forgotten about. The online portal is very easy to use and I was lucky enough to have George Smith as my point of contact. George is incredibly responsive and has been wonderful at even working finances out backwards for me. I've never locumed before and all the different taxes meant I would have been losing out a lot a month if it hadn't have been for George's honesty and help.
