Robert is the leader in his field world wide and I have no hesitation in recommending him as a teacher of sugar flowers of the highest quality. He is the most conscientious and committed individual you could ever wish to meet. He is a consummate professional in everything he does and his classes are 100% value for money, made just for you and fun too. With a bubbly personality and such high standards, it all makes for a fabulous learning experience. I would definitely recommend Robert's classes to anyone wishing to learn advanced sugar flower skills.

I had the honour of attending a 1-2-1 class with Robert. I love his work and I couldn’t wait to learn from him. Robert is one of the nicest people ever. He is renowned for his sugar artistry, yet he is so humble. His teaching methods were excellent. I am extremely glad to have attended a private lesson with Robert. I was really struggling with making a pretty sugar rose, but Robert has taken my skills to a completely different level. Robert is an expert in his field. He has accumulated a wealth of knowledge from all of his years of experience in the industry, and he has a lot of tips and tricks that I personally have not come across in any other tutorials or books. Robert is a patient, passionate, and enthusiastic teacher. Even though I wasn't the fastest learner, he was willing to spend a few extra hours with me past the allotted time to finish the project. He's also very funny, so my lesson wasn't dry and dull. Robert has also offered to provide future support. If forget some techniques from my lesson, then I can email or Skype him for assistance. If I have any other questions about sugar flowers or cakes in general, then Robert will help me find the answer. I highly recommend Robert as a teacher. I wouldn't hesitate to have another private lesson with him, and I'll be the first in line to buy his book as soon as it's released!

I took a 3 day flower class with Robert and came away with more knowledge then I ever expected. Robert not only pays close attention to the finest details of his own work but pays the same attention to you when your in one of his classes. He takes the time to make sure every student is understanding the steps he is teaching. He is by your side from beginning until the end. You will not only be amazed by his work but your own after learning from a master. The techniques I learned from Robert I have applied to all my fondant and gum paste work, making me a better decorator overall. Whether or not you make sugar flowers you will come away from one of his classes with very much knowledge and a great friend!

I enjoyed a 3-day master class with Robert Haynes at The Sweet Chalet, Sanford FL, in 2017. Robert's enthusiasm for sugar art is contagious and I learned a tremendous amount from him. His class was fast paced, however Robert managed to give each student individual attention. Classes ran long past the scheduled time each day, but no one complained as we wanted to absorb everything Robert had to teach us. His veiners and finishing techniques produce incredibly realistic looking flowers. If you are interested in competing, his instruction will take your sugar work to the next level. Robert is warm & friendly, and highly entertaining.

Blackberry Class - I spent the weekend making the blackberries, leaves and blackberry flowers with Robert. I came away from his class with so much more than just my finished piece. Learning from Robert Haynes (one of the world’s best sugar artists) was a dream come true. From the moment I entered his studio for my 1-to-1 masterclass with him, I was amazed by the pure talent staring back at me in the form of his beautifully vibrant flowers. I learnt how to make a botanically correct alchamey rose and I can honestly say that I have never had an experience even close to the one I had with him. His techniques are unique and precise and quite simply mind-blowing! Whilst he is a man of discipline and talent, his personality is balanced by his humbleness and sense of humour making his classes fun and memorable. I came out of the class having made a rose with him that was stunning and would highly recommend him to everyone!

I really don’t know where to begin... I reached out to Robert in the hopes that we could surprise my mum with a day submerged in the awesomeness that is Robert Haynes.. not really expecting there to be any availability with 2 days notice - but low and behold, Robert found a way to fit us both in for a full day of learning in his studio. Robert is not only an absolute genius when it comes to sugar craft, but he is also patient, kind, warm and so very generous with sharing with his skills. He is incredibly intuitive.. picking up that I was feeling very out of my depth, he took the time to step away and reassure me that I could do it... something I really appreciated. We were taken through a complete day of learning how to create blackberries, leaves, buds, grass- how to glaze, dust, wrap stems and pull together an end product I never thought possible. One thing I also noticed is how Robert always credits others sugar crafters for their work.. for example, Robert was showing a way of creating grass and made sure we knew that it was Alan Dunn that shared that with him... I thought that really showed the mark of a man! Robert.. there are not enough words for me to express my gratitude for you! Robert Haynes was my first sugar flower master. With him I learned all the basics of this technique, the tricks, the secrets to achieve a high level of preparation. I learned to make the most of all the necessary tools for the job. All that I was taught was also very useful for my cold porcelain work.
