Commissioning Avar for my under-stair storage has to be one of my best experiences working with contractors in London. Initially I thought they were a bit expensive, but when I understood how they work I realised how wrong that perception is. After carefully measuring your space, they will iterate with you on **precise 3D CAD renderings** that represent the thing they will build for you – down to the millimetre! They can perfectly match colours and use only the highest quality materials. Perhaps the fact that speaks most strongly to their dedication to quality is that the owner of the company personally oversees all installations; he understands that only the installer can guarantee the final fit and finish. Taking into account the value added to my property by having such high quality bespoke furniture installed – I reckon it‘s basically paid for itself :-)

We have used Avar furniture numerous times over the last 9 years. Michael had made bespoke cabinets for our living room. He recently amended them to fit in the alcoves in our dining room. We have received so many compliments about them over the years. We also have built in wardrobes which have lasted so well. We have recently had some major renovation work completed at our property and I was looking for some under stairs storage after ripping out the old area under the stairs, leaving us looking at a large gaping hole. We have a very busy house-hold (with two young boys) and I wanted some storage, so that when the boys came home from school of an evening, they could come in and immediately put away all their stuff that two boys generate. I also wanted somewhere to hang up visitor’s coats, rather than hanging them over the bannister. I researched using a well-known search engine for under stairs storage and was lucky enough to come across “Avar”. Their product was exactly what I was looking for but I searched other companies but would always came back to Avar. Our only concern was that we lived in Devon and Avar was based in London, so we weren’t sure if Avar would be prepared to come down as far as Devon. So we sent Avar an email, asking the question “if this was something they would consider”, and to our amazement, they said “yes” and we are so glad that they did. With Avar being so very far away I was a bit apprehensive about placing the order due to the various measurements and angles but Michael was so obliging that whenever we had a query or question, they were there at the end of the phone. We even had a zoom meeting to go through a couple for things and it also give Michael a chance to see the area under the stairs. On the day of the installation, the day couldn't have gone any better. Michael’s work was impeccable, friendly, very tidy and very approachable. The care Michael took on the day was brilliant, laying down protective matting to protect our flooring and always cleared up the area at the end of the day. We are so pleased we chose Avar, and would highly recommend the company, the product and the staff.

Avar created a wonderful, high quality, functional under the stairs cupboard for us. We had requested something a bit unusual (using part of the space for clothes drying) and they worked to provide us with a design that we were really happy with.
