We have been thoroughly impressed with the level of service and quality of work provided by Michelle and Tom and their team. The detailed schedule they provided was invaluable and was only marginally deviated from due to an unforeseen issue with the flooring. We had a new kitchen, en suite, cloakroom and flooring with underfloor heating and we are thrilled with it all. The level of detail (not to mention patience!) in the design phase was second to none. We thoroughly recommend Kitchens by Design.

We recently used Kitchens By Design as we were looking for somebody to replace our Kitchen & manage the project from start to finish, Michelle came up with a plan and after 4-5 meetings that included design drawings, product viewings & a schedule, we pushed ahead. One of the most important things to us was scheduling, the project lasted 3-weeks & a detailed timeline was provided, without fail this timeline was met, we had plasterers, electricians, kitchen fitters, flooring specialists, gas engineer & decorators in during this time, all were punctual, professional & done a great job. It was so exciting seeing the project come together & not having to get involved in any of the logistics, Michelle managed the project brilliantly. I have to say the trades people came in worked hard & every day they cleaned up debris from the day’s work, such a clean & tidy outfit. There were a few little issues that we pointed out but Michelle came along with Tom & completed anything we weren’t happy with. Kitchens by Design are thoroughly decent Company to work with & use top quality tradesmen, we now have a beautiful kitchen that flows & quality products to use, we are so pleased we used this company, we couldn’t be more grateful & pleased. What we really liked was Michelle’s enthusiasm she really bought into the project as if it was her own property, she really cared & this shone through when the project was completed. I wouldn’t hesitate to use again & If you want a professional job I would highly recommend.

I was recommended Kitchens by Design after a friend used them. I liked the personal touch at the beginning when Michelle visited our house to discuss what we wanted for our kitchen, what our budget was and came up with an excellent design, including things we had not thought of. Communications after Michelle’s first visit via email regarding design were clear and sent in a timely manner. We visited the show room to look at the cupboards, changing our mind on the original door colour and then choosing the worktop and splash backs, which Michelle and Polly gave us plenty of help in providing with lots of samples to choose from. In addition it was great that the taps and door handles are available for us to look at and select. What really impressed me on this visit was that we were able to take the samples home to ensure we were happy with the colours. I really appreciate this and it helped for choosing our wall colour. Michelle recommenced a plumber (Andy Syder), builder (Mark Halsey), painter and floorer who we contacted for quotes and decided to use. Michelle then put together a kitchen installation plan for dates suitable to us. I really appreciated it as it was one less thing I had to worry about. Prior to kitchen fitting Michelle and Tom visited my house to measure up and confirm the kitchen plan and design. It was nice to have the opportunity to confirm things and make any changes. During installation Michelle kept in touch with me frequently and regularly came out to to see how the installation was going. Nothing was too much trouble for her to answer of my queries or answer my specific questions. I trusted Michelle so much I let her choose some handles for hatch doors, something which in the past I would prefer to do myself. Her choice was spot on and they look really nice. We have been very impressed by our experience with Kitchens by Design. We have been very pleased with our new kitchen and the exceptional service provided by Michelle, Polly and Tom. We were so pleased with the service and quality of the kitchen Michelle and her team provided in our previous house that we didn't hesitate to commission her to refit the kitchen in our new house in 2015. True to form several tricky obstacles were overcome and we were left with a modern and stylish design. Recently we have encountered problems with some doors which have required replacement. Michelle and Tom have dealt with us personally and fairly throughout this process. The team of fitters are extremely competent and efficient.

Michelle and Polly are exceptional at their work. Patient, calming, insightful. They have navigated us through conflicting opinions, given us advice and the benefit of their experience and expertise. At every turn we have been offered practical solutions to various challenges. They have taken on board our preferences and created a design to fit, even though this has required juggling with components. Each time we met during the process, Michelle and Polly were generous with their time. How often, when you assess a project or a product, do you wish you had someone you trust to give you honest and helpful advice and information, so you spend your money wisely? This is what you get from this company. Michelle has also shared with us how to use the ovens and other fixtures to our advantage, and demonstrated this with the products in the showroom. I look forward to a perfect roast chicken in 30 minutes and perfectly steamed vegetables! Huge thanks to Polly and Michelle for eliminating the stress of how to make a kitchen design work for us.

We decided to have this company redo our kitchen and downstairs bathroom. We had building work that needed to be done as the chimney breast had to be taken out as we had a very old rayburn that was lovely in the winter, but costly to run and dirty for both the environment and the house. Also, a supporting wall between the toilet and the room with the bath and sink. Luckily they have a fantastic builder, and all the work was done quickly and no big problems. The team were clean, and so accommodating! They had a guy they work with to come and quote for the support beams and the team got them in without a hitch. Once the building, plastering work was finished, the kitchen work started right away, and anything we had questions about were sorted immediately. We are thrilled with this company and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to make a change. We've heard so many horror stories from friends about dodgy builders and inefficient companies taking on house projects, we feel so fortunate to have found Kitchens by Design!! Thanks for doing a superb job!

The dimensions in the kitchen and utility room areas in my renovated kitchen were awkward and it was always going to be a challenge to make standard sized kitchen units looking aesthetically correct. Michelle and her team listened to my requirements and came up with some creative, visually appealing and most importantly, achievable solutions. The units are beautifully made. The work surfaces in granite and oak are stunning and the integrated products are high quality. It was a pleasure to do business with a kitchen design team who actually understand the house building process. Michelle took the time to visit the site to meet the builder and the installation became a collaborative process. Too many companies promise a kitchen that will not actually fit the true space available. The bespoke built pieces in my kitchen are spot on and I couldn’t be more pleased.

All too often there is something wrong with a job you have done in the home, but we feel we must leave a positive review of the kitchen installed by Kitchens By Design. From the initial visit to their showroom through to completion of the project, the design and on site work was carried out with amazing attention to detail and the utmost patience and courtesy. At our initial meeting in the new showroom, I was impressed with the range of units, worktop finishes and accessories that Kitchens by Design were able to offer which would fit into our budget. Polly drew up some initial 3D designs and between us we came up with the kitchen that would be perfect for our renovated house. Perhaps the best time to write a kitchen review is a few months after installation when things have settled down a little. Well over 12 months on and we are still very happy. Well fitted, good quality units, great design by Michelle that works so well for us and looks fantastic. They were incredibly patient while we regularly changed our minds, were flexible with options to help us get our right balance of cost and quality, and we're left with a kitchen that not just works, but brings the family together to eat every day. I dreaded redoing the kitchen as I knew it would be a big job. I worried about having to trawl through endless showrooms or worse, large outlets, having to decide on all sorts without having the required knowledge to inform those choices as best as possible. Enter Michelle, Tom and her team. Not only did she immediately and fully understand what I wanted, she then designed the kitchen perfectly, narrowing down options in keeping with my taste. The team was immaculate in putting it all together and the result is stunning. It is true to say that 'MIchelle's kitchen' actually has led to changes in my daily routine. I now spend hours in the kitchen, often with friends, having fun. We are keeping the sitting room for family events and major Feast Days, but otherwise: if you need be, I'll be in the kitchen.
