E. D.Upcycling to modernise dark wood furniture. Pictures show transformation.
Sideboard was solid cherrywood with a dark shellac. Stripped back to natural colour with farrow and ball accent colour added. Interior painted a very dark blue.
Cocktail cabinet g-plan originally veneered mahogany. Stripped, painted and cherry wood veneer applied. Internal dressed with brushed gold leaf accents.
E. K.I would highly recommend Matthew at The Odd Thing! We had attempted to make a window seat cushion ourselves but became totally flummoxed by it and it soon became clear that we needed an expert! Mathew pointed us in the direction of some online fabric sellers and we quickly made decisions about the colours and style we wanted. We had the fire retardant fabric sent directly to The Odd Thing which made life much easier! We are over the moon with the end result. It has really pulled together the space and complements the decor beautifully! As the cottage is so crooked the geometric design works really well and the piping and attention to detail are fantastic! We now have a similar project for Matthew in the sitting room!
T. W.Delighted with our coordinating desk drawers. Matthew at The Odd Thing really understood our brief. He cleverly up cycled our unwanted desk panels, which were destined for landfill and transformed them into a set of handy matching drawers which fit perfectly under our existing desk.
