Had a great afternoon on the course. I’m a beginner and have been playing less than a year so I was a bit nervous. It was great though! Everyone I met on the course was very friendly. Would definitely come back.

We played the course recently after booking online. Upon arrival, there was a sign saying that temp greens were in use. As it transpired, all full greens were in use, albeit they had been cored and sanded.If this information had been stated at time of booking, we would not have played. The course was a nice layout, a bit wet underfoot in places. The aforementioned greens looked as though they would be very good under normal circumstances. I would definitely play here again, in the height of Summer.

12 of us paid a visit here today, very friendly staff, we all enjoyed the Course despite some greens being temporary due to tyning/sanding, but a discount was offered because of this. After play we were well looked after by Anne the catering manager, who served up a delicious meal.

Played the course earlier this year having been a member as a boy. It was in great condition, and the greenkeepers deserve a huge amount of credit for that. There was a warmth to the welcome we received both in the Pro shop and in the bar after our round. Worth playing if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Golf course was in very good condition with the greens being smooth and fast. Then had a huge plateful of chicken madras curry with rice and chips followed by a lovely dessert. Great day out!😎

This comment is actually a response to Big Geo's recent critical review. I won't stoop to his low level of personal insults and whilst not directly involved, what I witnessed was a person who has no basic course etiquette applicable at most reputable golf courses. First of all he and his partner attempt to tee off from the Ladies tee dragging trolleys on to the tee behind them. Once directed to the Gents tee, they proceeded to do the same and took offence at being asked to take the trolley off the tee, totally ignoring any requests to do so. As previous reviews reflect, we are a friendly club with a rating of 4.4 out of 5.

Caldwell golf club is in my opinion the best golf course within an 8 mile radius of Uplawmoor. It has challenging yet enjoyable, well laid out golf holes, with a James Braid input. Throughout these unique times the golf course has been well maintained and as such is in pristine condition and well worth a visit. I must say that it is so aesthetically pleasing it is a credit to the team of greenkeepers who work there.

Caldwell is an excellent parkland course with a mixture of flat and gently sloping, wide fairways. All of the course is in great condition. The staff are very welcoming and helpful.
