We enjoyed another successful outing here this year. The course is in fantastic condition and provides an excellent challenge for all handicaps! It is very easily accessed from anywhere in Glasgow and the Pro and Staff are very welcoming. It also boasts one of the best practice facilities around!

Cowglen is a wonderful James Braid parkland course only 10 minutes from Glasgow city centre and 20 minutes from Glasgow airport. It has a fantastic mix of holes that will challenge and maintain interest for all levels of players and test all parts of your game. Measuring 6105 yards from the white tees the par 70 course is not long by today's standards however the slope of 132 highlights the challenge it's wonderful design and memorable layout present. It's definitely not a hilly course as the majority of holes are played on the flat. The 10th is really the only hole where there is any sort of slope that has to be dealt with when playing. The 13th has a gradual incline from tee to green however it doesn't really affect the stance when playing the approach shot from the fairway. There are elevation changes on the course however the walk from the 4th to 5th is well worth it especially for the tee shot on the signature par 5 8th hole with its magnificent panoramic views across the city and beyond to the Highlands. There really isn't a weak hole on the course and in the peak of Summer the magnificent greens, fairways and aprons more than match the challenge this significantly underrated course offer. I also doubt whether you'll get a friendlier welcome anywhere.

First class club with an interesting course that is accessible for all levels of golfer. 10 minutes from the city centre and Google maps got me straight there. 18 hole course with all the expected in-house facilities. Professionals shop. Golf Academy, and good practise facilities. The course was in first class condition( considering recent weather patterns) with a layout that can give a good challenge to most golfers whatever handicap. Didn't come across a single pitch mark on any green! There are some significant climbs on the course which made me glad that I took my trolley rather than carry clubs. The weather was particularly hot and humid and I was gratefull for the drinking fountain between 8th and 9th. ( wish there was one a bit further on as well!!) All Staff and members (I came across) were friendly and welcoming from the moment I went in to the professionals shop to the green keepers on the course and the staff in the club house ( for a well earned pint! ) Thoroughly enjoyed the day.... if only my golf was up to the challenge!

I am a a member of the Cowglen golf club. I rate this a very friendly club. It has its own professional, Simon Payne. Who basically runs the club. Always got a smile when you enter the well stocked Pro shop. Also have restaurant facilities and a lounge area for the nineteenth hole.. There are a few hills to contend with so you get plenty of exercise. Changing facilities good and very clean toilets. All in all. Really good.

I am sure the course is excellent – it looks as much from the outside – but it is for rich people only. Membership is just shy of £ 1000 a year, and membership is required to play. It may very well be worth it, with a great-looking driving range, friendly staff and an excellent-looking course, but the price is steep. Also, the people who were there (apart from the staff), seemed unimpressed with a guy not wearing Lacrosse showing up.

As a member I enjoy the course all year round. The members are friendly as are the bar staff. The course has improved over the past couple of years and still improving. Functions are well attended and you can hire the club house for your own function. If you are visiting to play golf the course as any other is best during the summer. I would have to say that the price of drinks are not the cheapest but the food is very reasonably priced and "top notch! "

Attended a 60th birthday party at this lovely little club. Nicely furnished and friendly efficient staff. Ladies toilet was thoughtfully stocked with toiletries, hairspray etc...nice touch. Drinks are reasonably priced.
