Huge place! They literally do almost everything you need for a camping trip! It's so spacious! There is tents pitched outside so you can view and go inside to see how big they are. There is a massive clothes selection. Definitely the biggest selection of clothes for a GoOutdoors shop (I've visited a few). Great prices as usual! Great location as there is a few more shops and food takeout places too!

Customer service in this store was absolutely fantastic. My place of work are organising a big trip and we were in there to bulk buy alot of stuff. The staff truly went above and beyond to make the trip as smooth as possible. The guy with long hair on footwear was absolutely a top professional and can't thank him enough. Sarah at the till was a huge help as well. All in all, I couldn't rate this place highly enough!

Good range, shoddy customer journey. Staff on tills doing their best, queues horrendous and processing times appalling. It feels like they’ve been set up for failure, an impression fortified by a manager walking around with a cheese sandwich in his hand/mouth.

I popped in to pick up some stuff for a upcoming hiking trip. The staff were so friendly and helpful. One of the things I wanted was a Rab sleeping bag. I asked a member of staff if they had it. The guy I asked didn’t work in that Section and only started 3 weeks ago. Although he didn’t know much about the bag I wanted He was so helpful and did everything to get me the bag I wanted. I picked up a few other bits and went to the checkout. The girl who served me was so nice and friendly. I will definitely be shopping here again. The level of customer service in the Southampton branch is amazing.

The staff couldn’t be more helpful. I was after some walking boots and although it was clearly the busiest part of the shop the staff were on the ball. A young man named Sam came to my aid. He was able to juggle several of us customers with ease and made all of us feel like we were getting the attention we needed. He listened carefully to what I needed and the feed back from each brand of boot he brought for me to try, offering up some that might be a better fit. All the while looking after others just as politely and professionally. I walked away with a great pair of boot that hopefully will last me years. I can’t recommend the place more. They have a huge range of goods and at reasonable prices but mostly it’s the staff that make the place. All my interactions were met with the staff actually listening to me and making time to respond appropriately. A rare commodity these days ( good gods I sound old ) Well done Go Outdoors.

Customer service is good but popular stocked sizes are poor, and coupled with the fact that you can't order in store for delivery to store is annoying. Good to be able to see merch in the flesh!

As the name suggests it has a lot to do with the “Outdoors” A large stock of mostly clothing for all seasons. Top brands and budget value too. Footwear, camping, cycling and more. This store is slightly out of town but easy to find and get to with a large car park. It has been improving with stock tidiness and price labels although some sizes are lacking such as medium or large. XXXL!? Sometimes it’s got too much of one thing such as down jackets (when did we last have a frost?) and not enough brands for the climate change situation such as rainwear. Over all it aims towards the value side of products but there are some premium options too.

Lots and lots of stocks for outdoor activity, good quality, and use of members card drops the price. I would remove the card and drop all prices to get more people shopping there. In a way the member card price is the actual price of the same item in another shop. I would replace it with point club card!

Great shop with a vast selection across the board, staff very helpful and friendly. Prices are great especially with the discount card, can't give 5 stars as the click and collect needs some work, if you don't collect within 24hrs it goes back on the shelves! And forget doing a click ans collect if they are doing a stock take, it just gets ignored.

Bought two osprey rucksacks today, one was priced £41 more in store than on the website, was rectified at the till because we mentioned it, otherwise I imagine people are paying the higher price ?? Great service from Dave at the Southampton store, helping us chose walking boots. As usual long wait at the till, however price discrepancy dealt with swiftly.

I like go outdoors but it is a chore going, nothing is easy to find so you have to hunt for it and for the right size. Usually very good value for money though and good quality.

A large campsite in the grounds of Wing Hall. The loos and showers are limited in number and fairly basic. There is a well stocked shop. The cafe is in the Hall and overlooks the garden. We had a lovely breakfast there. If you choose to have electric plugin, you'll find it expensive...£15 for two nights. They charge £5 per night and you are given card with £5 credit on it that you push into the meter. No explanation was given readily for the charge, I had to ask. A golf course is close by. It will take you less than an hour to walk to Rutland Water.

They had mostly everything I needed. Large queues moving slowly as they only had the one til open. The doors to the outside area didn't open so after looking for a staff member for 10 minutes we found someone to ask if we could look at the tents. We were told this area was closed because of the wind but then customers who were out there came back in and we were told we can go out but another couple behind us were told it was closed. Very disorganised and seemed understaffed for a weekend.

I went to buy climbing shoes. They had a good selection, basically piled up. I went through their stock trying on many pairs. In 30 minutes I didn't receive any attention from the staff. This surprised me. I did find a pair that I liked so I'm not complaining too much.

Had an awful experience in this store on a visit. All I'm going to do is warn all males that use the toilets to remain vigilant as there is a hole in the side panel next to the urinal as my partner found out. Thank goodness our son wasn't in there. Other then this unpleasant experience the store is generally good value with huge range of stock.

The one thing that is very inconvenient are the security cable's attached making trying on items very difficult. And you will spend a lot of time trying to find a member of staff to help.

I find the floor staff helpful but the till staff seem to behave like your an inconvenience to there day and rather be chatting to one another (on more than one visit). Go Outdoors prices are very good but you should always check online with other retailers as sometime better products available for a fraction more. Do be fooled by their HiGear range. Some is good others just about do the job, pay a little more for a much better product

Met a man called Michael, originally when I came in with my family, we only knew we wanted to try camping, so we were really lost, but Michael came up to us upon entry, greeted us all, asked how he could help and whisked us right to where we needed to go! He had an amazing knowledge of what everyone needed and wanted, and was even able to entertain the children for a few minuets while I discussed with the misses! Absolutely amazing customer service, will be coming back.

Went in to get some climbing shoes a few months ago and spoke to Paul who as a climber himself was very knowledgeable and helped me find the right pair without ever feeling rushed. Almost all of our outdoor gear, from tent to Kayak my mountain bike has come from this place. The wow deals are great, but in general the prices are fantastic. The staff are always helpful and I always have to shoehorn my son out of the tent display section. Picking up another bike from them today, their own brand Calibre ones are top notch.

Go outdoors had everything we required for our electrical hook up. We didn't intend to be long but still managed to wander around the very large open plan store, and outside looking at the tents. There is a large car park there and toilets which seems a little thing but companies should realise encourage customers to stay longer. This vast store covers all outdoor activities and always has a good array of stock.

I paid £169 for a bicycle went to collect a couple of days later its been reduced to £127.......I asked in store about the price reduction but it fell on ears that did not wish to hear....... I had reason to return faulty goods to the Southampton store last Monday February 24th. It was 6.00pm and I needed to speak to a manager. I spoke to 'Jim' and, as I work in retail, I was very interested to see the reaction to this sort of complaint. I am very pleased to say that the response was extremely courteous, friendly and helpful, and the financial recompense exceeded my expectations. We do a lot of mountain walking / backpacking and have used Go Outdoors extensively. This experience has affirmed my liking of the store and will certainly put it to the top of any list when it comes to purchasing any further like products. Well done Jim and Go Outdoors Southampton!!!!!
