Good fun for us and the littlest ones. Dinosaur themed with flowing waterfalls although they weren't in operation on our visit. The last hole collects the balls just SO's you know.

The boy is obsessed and even though I really embarrassed myself I too enjoyed it. Prices are very reasonable. It's clean. Has a cafe/bar.

What more can a golfer want from a driving range on a rainy day... Lovely people run this place... Loads of bays, and it can be busy. Hot and cold drink available, and a small selection of food. Teaching bays...and even an adventure crazy golf outside if the youngsters get bored with dad hitting the range.

Great facilities. Little café, beer if you want it. But last few times I've gone the best additions are the ball tracker and game system. And the additional shelves and stool's so if you have company and the person has no interest in playing and wants to read a book or work on a laptop. Or it's your golf crew who all want to sit down. You have these options. Plus the mini golf the opposite side. I've not been to it but it does look absolutely incredible.

Excellent driving range, better than most clubs, two tier bays, nicely covered with heating available. 250yds for longer hitters, and track/trace technology provides instant feedback on trajectory/distance etc. Space for food/drink as well, and accommodates four people per bay. Impressive.

Can't recommend Tom of Universal Golf highly enough. Absolutely superb setup stocked with numerous club head, shaft and grip variations. Tom listened to what I wanted which was something to fill void between Driver & 4 iron. Tom explained that we would run through some stats from my existing irons and driver to give a baseline which meant a gap to more consistently hit 185 & 200 yards. At first with 3 or 5 woods was struggling to launch as has always been issue for me but Tom seemed confident we would get there and we did. He spec'd a 5 wood and 3 hybrid which I launched very well and quite consistently v expectation. I was so impressed I asked him to check out my driver which I hit quite well (just a bought off mate club) and after some thorough testing he confirmed it was perfect for me no changes needed to shaft etc just maybe a thicker grip.Very reassuring. Tom works with top athletes and golf pro's for a reason and is in high demand, really lucky to have him based in Southampton. Without doubt I will return to see him when I next want to change anything in my bag.

Went here for a fitting with Tom for a full set of Orka. Brilliant, doesn't try to change your swing, just selects the right loft/lie/shaft/grip etc to suit you. What a difference when I got them through Love my clubs. He gave me a free gapping session too once my clubs were delivered so I knew how far I was hitting the new ones. Excellent work, highly recommend.

Just finished my gap test with Tom after picking up my new Orka RS10 cb irons and Taylormade Sim driver last week. The whole fitting and custom build experience with Tom has been fantastic from start to finish. The in depth fitting process with explanation from Tom on the different shafts and heads used, and what difference they would make, left me walking out feeling I had found the perfect clubs, shafts and set up for me. 5 rounds later I couldn't be happier, better distance and dispersion with both irons and driver have me enjoying golf more than I ever have before. Tom was a great fitter who listened to my needs and many questions and I left feeling educated and satisfied. I will definitely be returning with my future equipment needs and I would encourage anyone reading this to pay Tom a visit. Many thanks Tom Dan

Previously bought brand new golf clubs fitted by a well known golf shop and had been struggling so found Tom on the net. Contacted him and he was very helpful so went to see him with my clubs so that he could assess them. None of them have been fitted correctly but Tom assessed what I needed and fitted them for me. Incredible service - go and see Tom straight away! Tom analysed my swing and determined what irons were right for me. He identified the clubs I needed for my size/swing and then sourced me a fantastic set of clubs within my specified budget. The fitting I had from Tom was brilliant, I didn’t have to worry about a thing. He took my bag and rebuilt it from top to bottom, knowing my yardages and to how many clubs I would carry. A golf range in Hedge End just off J7 of the M27, with ample parking space. A good layout that accommodates for different standard of golfers, there’s also an upstairs and floodlights, so plenty of room at anytime of the year. A reasonable fiver for 50 balls, they also have a new impressive crazy golf course across the car park, so the kids can be entertained while you go and whack a few balls!

Very simply, Tom makes this a throughourly ebjoyable couple of hours that you simply have to experience. After getting down to an 8 handicap, and being captain of my club, I had a couple of years off golf due to a change in personal circumstances. I now wanted to see what a decent fitting could offer, now I’ve started playing again. Even though Tom has EVERY club combination available, it was important to me that I wasn’t offered loads of options, as that would have just been confusing... he watched my swing, didn’t try to change it (it’s 35 years old!!!) and then with his expert knowledge, just put clubs in my hand that we’re going to work. A brilliant explanation as to what all the numbers meant on the track man, helped me to understand what I needed as well. He never over complicating things. There was no hard sell.... in fact, there was no sales pitch at all!!!! Just great advice that helped me understand that if I did buy new clubs, exactly what, and how, they would help my game. All I have to do now is to wait for 2 weeks for them to be delivered!!!

As a golfer who plays off a reasonably low handicap I have always struggled to find a fit that suits my game. 45 minutes with Tom at Universal Golf and all that changed. He understood my game and what I wanted to achieve. Whereas most club fitters just fit you based on ball numbers Tom also takes into account how the club feels in your hands and if it feels right or not. Found an extra 25 yards with my driver and a lot more consistency with my wedges!! Looking forward to getting fitted for my new irons in a few months!

Universal golf is by the far the best custom fitting I've ever had. From start to finish Tom was incredibly helpful. His equipment knowledge and fitting skills were the most in depth and detailed I've experienced. The facility he offers is state of the art with Trackman and SAM putting lab, along with a whole host of other equipment to give you the best possible custom fit. The selection of shafts is incredible, from Accra to Project X and everything in between. If you need custom fitting, Tom is the man to see.

I had a fitting with Tom about a year ago and together we worked through my bag, working with some of the clubs I already had and some new clubs to get my gapping right. During the fitting, I never felt pushed to buy anything from him, and he never pushed a certain brand, but instead gave me many options and left it to me (and the trackman results) to decide what were the clubs for me. Since the fitting, I've dropped from a 24 handicapper to an (unofficial) 15 handicap and I can't thank Tom enough. I would strongly suggest to anyone who is thinking about getting a new club (or clubs) to go and see him, he's a magician!!!!

Unbelievably great service from Tom. I couldn't imagine it getting any better than my several experiences with him. I've been fitted for a full set of clubs which have helped me to improve my handicap from 16 to 5 in just under a year which is a huge difference and there is nobody else i would turn to because Tom has been doing such a great job helping me out with my clubs making sure they are perfroming how they should be for my standards and making little tweaks for those clubs that weren't quite performing to how i needed and it makes a huge difference to my my game. Another amazing thing that he has done with me and from what i've seen with other reviews from other people is that he has sorted out all my clubs yardages for me which definately helps to make a huge positive impact on everybody's game including mine. It's not just his job of being a club fitter that makes me want to go back and see him everytime I need or want to, it's the fact that he makes you very welcome to his unit to be fitted and interacts with you very well giving you all information needed and explains it to you when you don't quite understand things. Another huge impact to my game that Tom has helped me with in my journey as a junior golfer that he gives you the right contacts of where to go. He recommended my coach to me when i did not have one and since then I have made a good friendship with Tom and my coach which has given me lots of confidence and now I have the confidence to ask questions when I have problems with my game and Tom has helped me with this since i met him back in 2017. What a difference an hour makes! Tom, along with his fully fitted studio at the gorgeous Marriott Meon Valley Hotel and Country Club, were highly recommended to me by one of my playing partners and I'm so glad I made an appointment to spend some time there today. I play off 13 and went along to finally sort my club distances as I was losing strokes every round guessing what club to hit - especially from 100 yards in - with often round-wrecking results! Tom was patient and extremely knowledgeable about utilising Trackman to its full potential to help me "dial in" those numbers. There was no "hard sell" to change my equipment, only sound advice and recommendations regarding changes I might want to make in the future. I've purchased most of my clubs on eBay as I haven't got the funds (nor "clearance from the tower") to buy new equipment at present. For an additional fee, he tweaked the lie angle of every iron and the difference it made, especially to the flight of my long irons, was instantaneous! I will soon be making an appointment with Tom to spend some time getting fitted for a full set of clubs. Once we've had the session both with Trackman and out on the practice facilities, we'll have a list of every club, shaft, flex, weight, grip, etc. that will take my game to the next level. And the beauty of it is that I don't have to make the purchase in one go! He'll have everything noted and stored away and when I'm ready, I can call him up and ask for a wedge or two one month, a 9 the next, and so on, and pay as I go. I can't think of any retailer that would offer this degree of custom fitting, let alone the option to buy individual clubs whenever I was ready. Do yourself a favour and give Tom a call. I guarantee you, and your golf game, will be better for it!

I was custom fitted for a set of Taylormade Power Bladz about 3 years ago. I’ve never got on with them, in fact I was getting worse with them, hitting only 3-7 GIR. But I persevered with them as they were so called “Custom fitted” for me, but still my handicap went from 5 to 11. After countless lessons, in a final attempt before giving the game up, I made an appointment with Tom, to see if it was the clubs and not me that were wrong. After all, I was hitting my Driver and Fairway Woods straight. I met up with Tom and explained my situation. After only 5 minutes of hitting some practice shots all over the place with Tom watching me, he stopped me, then examined and measured the Irons. What he discovered blew me away. My Irons were 1 3/4 inches too long for me and the lie was set at 5 degrees upright. I would need to be 6ft 9ins tall to hit these clubs!!!! Tom made up a club from his vast selection for me to hit. Every shot went high and straight!! I left my clubs with Him overnight and Tom adjusted my clubs for me. I picked them up the next day. I’ve now played 3rounds since the clubs were adjusted to fit me and can honestly say that the difference is unbelievable. Today I hit 14 GIR,s!!! The other 4 misses were done to bad or mediocre tee shots with Woods. I’m now back to enjoying my golf and will no doubt get my handicap back down. I can’t thank Tom enough for his kindness, help, professionalism and knowledge in saving my game. I would highly recommend you making an appointment with Tom if you feel that my story sounds familiar in your game. Thank you Tom. William.

All I have to say is that from start of custom fit through to after sales care, Tom Webster is sincerely genuine with great advice etc. The Addition of Jack and the custom fitted putter section has helped my game again, I recommend to any and all golfers I meet at events or at my home club. Anyone who plays golf, you must try out the Trackman custom fitting at Meon Valley with Tom Webster of Universal Golf. I was sceptical about how much it really could do for anyone of my ability rather than a pro with a consistent swing. I only went for new grips and came out £1300 lighter😳Tom watched a few of my shots, pointed out a few relevant figures on the Trackman and then explained what he would like to change. I'm absolutely amazed at the results. I picked my clubs up today and went out to try them out. I can carry approx 30-40 yards extra on my drives and my irons are higher and longer. Even the wedges, just chipping round the green feel completely different. The main difference is the consistency. Well worth the money.

We played here yesterday and where impressed with the layout ! Good set with lots of different levels .Everything you could want on site . Not needed though all the wasps . There was no food about but still the wasps ! I got stung and didn't have a medical spray with me . Had to get home before I could get relief ! Och !!!!!
