Played the silver blue route (3 lots of 9 hole) and loved every minute of it , fairways are like carpet and the greens are perfect. Bacon butty left alot to be desired though !

Couldn't have asked for anything better for our wedding reception! Sam and the team at the Shropshire dressed the room up brilliantly. The buffet and hot pork baps where amazing with many guests praising the food quality. Very nice place for pictures outside the farm house. Me and my now wife got to go for a ride in the golf buggies to find some beautiful locations for photos. Could not recomend The Shropshire golf club enough for making our special day even more special.

The course was good. However, the indoor staff left a lot to be desired. For example the barman asked us to move table before we had finished our lunch as he had to get it ready for another dinner. Lack of attention to detail. The same man was also dismissive when a member of our group lost something. Not rude, but careless. Generally not too welcoming of a visiting society. However special mention for the members. They were very friendly and welcoming, as was the teamoin the golf shop.

Great course, only downfall is the drainage. We went just after we had the heatwave, had a downpour of rain and there was alot of surface water. Water on the greens again puddles of water and if you wanted your ball to run on the fairway it just stopped. Good selection of tricky holes and big dog legs

What a wonderful place with beautiful scenery. Never have I walked in somewhere and been made to feel so welcome. Lovely atmosphere, staff are polite and so friendly, they can't do enough for you. I will most definitely return next time I'm in the area.

Nice course with some really stunning views, tee boxes and fairway were in fantastic condition and the greens were fast and tricky to read. In the club house the service was good from the very friendly staff. Overall we had a very good day as a society.

Played the blue and gold courses on Friday 27th may 2022 and the blue and gold course is in immaculate condition the fairways and greens are some of the best I have played on in while well done to the green staff at the Shropshire. And I must add you always get a nice welcome.

Nice course, 27 holes, theres three sets of nine holes to pick from, blue course, silver course and gold course, theres eighteen short course holes, the longest being 126 yard. Only negative to the short course is the foot golf uses it too and unfortunately sometime people dont follow the rules and wear studs which isnt good for the greens. The dirving range could do with a tidy up as its lookin tured now, practice puttin greens and chippin green is decent enough.

Sadly those very large stones boardering the carpark are a real problem when you're forced to move your car too close to them by some very impatient drivers..? I've damaged my rear passenger side undercarraige as a direct result..!! Not impressed..🤬!!!

A great round of golf. Excellent place. I came here in the summer and was intending to go round on my own as I was on a staycation. The club suggested I join a three ball, which was a new concept for me, no other golf course had ever suggested it. So I thought it through and decided to take the risk. I was very lucky as the three people I joined up with were great company and very patient with me as I was the worst player. I even picked up a few tips as I went round. Clubhouse was very friendly and hospitable. Good times !

As somewhat of a seasoned footgolf dabbler, I have played at least 40 courses across the UK, often incorporating a few hours booting a Size 5 from tee to flag into a business trip or even holiday. Gratifying to see that The Shropshire take the sport seriously - from the moment of booking over the phone it was clear from the tone of the receptionist that the Club respected it and embraced it as part of their 'golfing offering' and not treated is as an 'add on' - on previous occasions when booking at other establishments, I've sensed a real distaste, a sniggering approach as though it's somehow a 'Mickley Mouse' version of golf - which of course is frankly an insult and at the very least, naive. To cut to the chase, the course is an 18 hole feast of footgolf delight, with well-maintained greens, carefully prepared bunkers and clear signage. What the course lacks in complexity and creativity it makes up for in openness and 'natural flow'. Well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Played the par 3 course. Some of the tees were overgrown, catching the club during the swing. Overall a mixture in maintenance levels but still good value for money. Doubles up for football golf though and had people kicking footballs past us whilst we were playing ahead of them on the same hole.

I went to Druids Heath this week which is used for pro golf tournaments. Greens were good, but the fairways are nowhere near The Shropshire standard. Credit the green keepers for that and the work they do.

After two really rude encounters with a member of staff. I as someone who never complains feel really compelled to do so on this occasion. The staff member in question needs urgent training in customer service. How she has got away with treating people this way is appalling and needs to be addressed immediately. I am polite and did everything asked of me when I booked in myself and other members of my family but still she abruptly spoke to me in a condescending manner. I will attend this golf course again in the next week or so and if the service and manners of the staff member hasn't improved I will be taking this further and mine and my families custom elsewhere.

Had our works Christmas party here Sunday....although I would request extra pigs in blankets with my dinner, everything else was spot on. Would like to say an extra special thank you to the bar staff, Sam, Katie and Pete, you were all fab, speedy service, great banter and even made sure we all had taxis to get home safe! All places like this are similarly priced... so I haven't marked them down too harshly. Bar staff were pleasant and dealt with another customers complaint about flat beet promptly enough.

Went there for a wedding. Lovely venue in lovely grounds. Slightly pricey but only to be expected. The main disappointment was the food, an outdoor bbq on not the warmest of evenings. Great food but cold by the time you got it back to the table.

A good golf club, i think its moved on in recent times, i used to visit many years ago and you sometimes got the impression it was a purely members thing and didnt feel very comfortable. However in recent years it seems to have a more welcoming and friendly atomosphere, staff are friendly and helpful, other golfers always have a chat when you either catch them up or they catch you up. The facilities for food drink and sports TV are good. The golf course itself is very good, a driving range, putting green, there used to be a par 3 course but i think now its used for footgolf! Another example of moving with the times! Then you have 3 courses of gold silver and blue, one isnt any better or worse than the other, good surfaces even in bad weather and the ground staff do seem to keep it in good order. As for the price, it is not as cheap as other local courses, but it does offer a good day out!

We had our wedding here in August 2017 and it was the perfect day. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and attentive. We could not have asked for better service from them. If any issues arose they came over to check with us, they signed the guest book and we even received a really thoughtful and special wedding present which I won't spoil the surprise of for future couples getting married there. They did a handover when the main member of staff left for the evening and we received help the following morning when coming to collect our items. Nothing was too much for them. The food received glowing comments from all guests, both the day and evening food. The portions were generous and quality amazing. I would absolutely recommend this venue to prospective wedding couples. The venue is wonderful but it's the staff that really make it. Thank you from the new Mr and Mrs Thompson.

Course is decent during spring summer and autumn but suffers during the wet winter months. Every now and then it should be closed just to give it a rest. but the management keep it open and it struggles to maintain its good looks. Greens are sometimes a bit mobile when wet.

We go lots of times and find it very good and very pleasant. But yesterday! I think the meats were cooked to long? No one wants tiny pieces of meat on there plate sliced is good it was just hacked of and the smallest amount of meat I've ever seen. Yes give two slices but these were two hacked bits. And it puts people off. Just a bad time. Next time will be good I'm sure.

It's a lovely place and I've been there many times but I was really disappointed today. We went to a football presentation and my roast beef lunch (and that of all the others at my table) was only luke warm, my Yorkshire pudding was cold and the only reasonably warm thing on my plate was the roast potatoes as these were under the beef and vegetables. I was very disappointed but couldn't say anything at the time as being a presentation we were on a time limit. I know there were 120 mouths to feed but this was not one of my best experiences at the Shropshire

Nice place, friendly and helpful staff but drinks are on the expensive side. Paid £36.90 for 7 drinks, 2 of which were just cokes!

A great golf course; with three nine hole courses; generally its easy to arrange a round. Buggies are in use for a fee. Fairways are well prepared, wide but beware of the sand traps, sometimes the sand is soft and fluffy, then once saturated the sand turns to a clay type mud, therefore ones style has to change. I found a friendly atmosphere amongst the membership mostly devoid of cliques. I was surprised to find the club is operated as a business with no officious club secretary. The chipping and putting links is also used for footie golf which is particularly popular. I have never had to wait to get onto the driving range, or to use the swing trainer. Likewise the practice putting greens are a true representation of the courses greens. The bar and restaurant are accommodating the chef can turn his hand to most meals. At the end of a competition video screens scroll competitors scores. The club shop offers a wide selection of equipment and clothing. see the clubs website for more detail A happy member

Catered for us all really well, following my Wife Pauline's untimely fall at home, after a kidney transplant at QE Hospital in Birmingham. Pauline collapsed from low sodium levels & sadly passed away. The Shropshire put on her wake and it was all done with dignity.

The staff at the Shropshire made our wedding truly fantastic. The care and attention they showed to us was second to none. Rob showed the upmost care and helpfulness to myself, my best man and my usher by helping us to complete our final preparations before my bride arrived. We had the Farmhouse for our wedding ceremony, meal and evening party. The room was turned round after the ceremony very quickly and looked fantastic for the sit down meal. All of the servers were on the ball and the food came out promptly, to the right tables and was delicious. Even though it rained on our big day, Sian went the extra mile to time a quick photo shoot in the lovely grounds, and even found a giant golf umbrella to keep my bride dry! The events team, in particular Steph and Catrina, helped us choose the best package and took a lot of the stress off us. I would definitely recommend the Shropshire to anyone looking for a lovely, welcoming venue to host their big day.
