Reviews of Worcester Woods Country Park
K. F.
Love coming to this place with our kids. Cafe is over priced and small however our a walk in the woods its well deserved. Wish they would take better care of the water near council place.
J. R. S.
Fantastic park with meeting rooms you can rent, bbq for rental, loads of space and beautiful scenery. Highly recommended for events or just bringing your children for a run around the play area!
M. B.
If you go down to the woods today.....go here, really nice especially on a hot day as all the trees keep u covered. Good place to sit and think
H. S.
Absolutely beautiful! Just had an earl grey and a warm scone in the restaurant which was lovely, decor is splendid and whimsical which I love! Staff are friendly and helpful and the park itself is beautiful! Really love it here!
K. T.
The park are is flat in the main but some of the trails do twist and turn up and down to follow the natural ground level. A great
Visitor Centre and picnic area is close beside the car park. The is a large ‘wild’ play areas and an events field and unusually meeting rooms which are all good for wheelchairs and pushchairs across paving or flattened stone paths.
Parking areas marked for disabled visitors within the rough stone car park with toilets
for disabled visitors. There are two Woodland Trails to find through the Woods and Meadows which are suitable (but obviously can be muddy) for wheelchairs and pushchairs
Visitors would be well advised to visit the Country Park website and download the pdf map.

Nice Park for kids, great for dog walkers and general nature walks. The cafe has a great menu for dogs aswell 😋
l. b.
Lovely sunny stroll. Great to have grassland and wood cover. Glad I stopped here en-route to Malvern. Free parking is a bonus. Thankyou WCC for not being greedy and allowing your visitors to enjoy outdoors for free as all councils should. Well maintained with a large cafe to be enjoyed at the end of the walk.
C. A.
Great pit stop on the way down to Cornwall. Nice park and wee cafe with a toilet block. The park was fab! Highly recommend for a wee visit.
Only 4 stars as part of the park was shut and the grounds looked a like they needed a general tidy up but I wouldn’t let that put us off going back.

This is a great place to meet friends with young children for a walk there's a play area on site Cafe and some really nice walks through the woods. We have a reactive dog so this is not a place we would come with him because it gets too busy at peak times, however for friends and family or a walk at very quiet times this is brilliant.
S. C.
First visit here! Had a little explore in the woods! Got a little lost if I'm honest! The woods are great with level paths maybe a little to uneven for wheelchairs though. Picnic by the lake with the swans and cygnets. Excellent place to visit with the family. Plenty of room to play and what looked like good cafe to grab something to eat and drink. Looking forward to our next visit. Looks to be lots of responsible dog owners here too which is always a good thing. 👍
W. P.
First time here. We had a very present walk through the woods and fields with our dog , Very clean ... only one little gripe is that there is not enough poop bins . Not a massive problem but could do with having a few more . On the whole though lovely place will definitely recommend to friends with dogs or children 😊
M. K.
Really nice park. Car park is free and lovely big open place and woods to go for nice walks. You can get, coffee, ice cream and lunch if you like. They are also selling dog ice cream!
L. G.
Lovely walk, great cafe with brilliant choices for vegan ( like myself) and vegetarians. Dog wash hose and water available and lovely field where families and children play games like cricket and rounders. Loads of pic nic benches and free parking.
S. W.
Fantastic country park. Lovely ancient woodland with well worn east to walk paths and lots of diversions. The play park was great for the children and there is even a pop up crazy golf at the back with an electric train! Well worth a visit 👍
C. H.
Lovely open space, great cafe, lots of outdoor seating, so great for picnics too. Fab playground, lovely walking routes through the woods too.
Also nice space for baby and toddler groups as well.

Was visiting family and needed somewhere to have a bite to eat and let the kids have a treat and run around on their feet. The park and cafe are unique with plenty more if you seek.
Nice woods to go for a long walk and talk though the trees soon you'll hear the rustle of leaves.
We believed in Rhyming all we can be chiming it's a thing we bring with what we scrawl with all my quirks as MGBM Artworks.
J. I.
A first visit for me. Loads of kids and digs with parents and owners who all appeared to be having a good time. Good free parking and easy interesting walks. I was impressed by the cafe too!
d. h.
We went for a party which was both in and outdoors. It was a busy place but not crowded. We all had a good time and enjoyed our time inside the Orchard cafe. The food and drink we had was thoroughly enjoyable
P. S.
Great place to walk in fields or woods then refresh with food and drink at the cage which uses locally sourced ingredients. Excellent play area for children. Popular with dog walkers.
D. R.
Fantastic place to bring your young children and / or dog(s). Good play area. Choice of meadow or woodland walks. Nice dog friendly cafe on site with chive of indoor or outdoor seating
D. N.
We just stopped off here on way home in our motorhome to give the dog a run, parking was free lots of spaces to park.
Very impressed, lovely walk round the wood. Had a coffee and an ice-cream at the onsite cafe, very reasonable plus they catered for our dog. Cheddar Cheese and sweet potato ice-cream for our princess.
This was on a Sunday cafe closed at 5pm
L. G.
Perfect place for a stroll around the woods, my 2 year old loves the statues and the wooden animal prints.
The cafe is highly recommended after for a coffee too.
V. R.
I am only giving 3 stars because the cafe food and drink quality is so poor! I have tried a few items there over the last few months to support the cafe as the woods and parking are free. The potato wedges are bland, underseasoned and undercooked (tried them twice), I had a mushroom sandwich for £4.75 and it was plain mushroom chopped up in bread (which had clearly been defrosted) and no butter/marge. My friend had a vegan breakfast as there wasn't a standard vegetarian option so paid extra for egg. It was again pretty bland and the tomato had maybe been shown the grill but it was essentially raw. Staff are pretty good and I can't vouch for the cakes but the hot drinks and hot food is such a let down which is a massive shame as they have a good thing going there.
J. P.
A delightful place to walk your dog, orvto meet up with friends. Also a great cafe with a take away hatch. Added to that, free parking and free entry!
l. o.
Brilliant place to walk your dogs in the woods , follow either the oak walk into the woods or the butterfly walk around the meadows .
Also a fantastic place for kids, safe walks, brilliant play areas to get rid of all that energy!
K. W.
Great place to walk your dog, meet up with friends and have a bite to eat afterwards. Nice hot cup of tea in a big takeaway cup with a lid. Piece of cake was ok but a bit on the stingy side
S. B.
Nice park! Lots of things to do. Very limited parking space though, especially when travelling with a slightly longer than normal vehicle like a van as we did.
W. I.
Worcester Woods is a wonderful place to walk and exercise dogs. The cafe and open play space also make it an excellent venue for families.
S. H.
An amazing place for kids, dogs and even humans. Although the food and drinks I think personally are expensive, you can have a picnic or even book the BBQ there. Awesome place.
K. M.
Very large grass area for spurt sports, picnicking, playing, and cafe facilities, children's play area etc, good free day out.
R. C.
Went here for ParkRun, stayed for the amazing kids playground. A mixture of play types, using natural wood, a big hill, mud, a rope bridge and everything to make your little one feel like an adventurer.
The cafe was something else again. Locally sourced organic food, amazing variety and looked good value for money. Service was slammed on a Saturday but still friendly and helpful. Will absolutely recommend to everyone and will be visiting again.
C. S.
Nice park and woodland walks. Plenty for families. Good coffee and cakes for me and dog liked the doggie menu
N. H.
Great place for family woodland walk. It was a very hot day so the slides in the playpark were too hot for the children to play on. Could do with a little more shade around the park area for days like this otherwise it was great. Spent a good few hours playing in the woods.
C. E.
Have posted on Worcester Woods Countryside centre before, and choose it for our first walk outside our village. A good choice as, when we went, on a Monday, there wasn't many people around. Went for a walk around the wild flower meadows, not in full bloom yet, but plenty of butterflies flying around everywhere. The cafe was open, well a serving hatch was, with covering over the window, so felt safe ordering. They were selling coffees and teas in takeaway cups and wrapped ice creams, don't know what else. I think the toilets were open, but I'm not ready to use them yet. Didn't go into the woods, as looked more growded but might be ok for some people. Take hand gel, as we used it after opening and closing gates. A lovely morning out.
C. G.
We went as a family of 4 adults+ 1x 12 year old & 1x 12 months x 3 dogs. Grand daughter took the pictures. Walk very pleasant experience and cafe well worth the prices for quality of food. £7 for 3 x doggy ice creams. Would go again, but when off peak, as imagine it could get over crowded in summer weekends.
N. C.
Great family day out, no matter what your age.
If you are looking for somewhere to take the family or just go for a walk in the woods then this is the place to go. Back to basics, the woods are well laid out and the paths are easy go around, can get very muddy but put your boots on and go for it. Loads of wildlife around for the kids to see, so keep your eyes open. Nice play area for the kids to pay in, one for under 15's and another one for everyone else. There's a cafe onsite if you forget your food.
The toilets are very good onsite and very clean, there was even a small stool for the kids to use.
The parking is great and no distance from the main park area, yes I'm sure it can get full quickly but you can't have everything.
G. F.
Good play park, and nice walks through the woods. Great for the kids and the dog.
N. D.
Nice woods for a walk with the kids and a refurbished playground. Very muddy in this weather though so take wellies and waterproofs.
We don't use the cafe, but we've heard it's nice.
M. G.
Nice big space to go for a walk and if you have a dog, they'll love it. There are walks in to the wooded area and across some fields, so quite a bit of choice. There are toilets in the main building and a really good cafe serving drinks and food. For the young ones there is a play area which is very popular. During the wet months it does get quite muddy due to popular use, so be prepared. In the summer it's great, and really nice to see so many people using the space.
P. A. (.
What a brilliant place to explore! Lots of lovely accessible paths the walk - we bumped into 2 mobility scooters - and lots of chances to wander further into the trees. We found lots of Den's and places to scamper about. Most importantly the cake at the end was divine. Can't wait to go back post lockdown and try the play park out.
D. M.
Perfect place for a walk and a picnic. The grandchildren love it, especially the playground. Also, a very nice restaurant and take away there if you do not want to take your own food. Plenty of seating outside but can get very busy.
K. P.
Very nice experience to walk in this place. This place has park for childrens to play. Also you have shops to get something to eat.
L. B.
Stopped off for coffee & a teacake outside the cafe, very fast service. Quiet time of day, sat under the covered porch and had a walk across the fields. Clean, tidy, good for dog walks & for kids to play
C. G.
Good play area for kids. Decent cafe with good selection of food, drinks and cakes. Nice woodland and meadow trails. Free parking too.
M. P.
Plenty of space to run about, and woods to wander in. All done without fuss and bother. Good playground too. Bring a picnic or try the cafe. Not even a parking charge, long may it continue like this. Excellent facility for the area.
A. P.
Worcester Woods Country Park is an excellent place for a peaceful walk. A perfect pocket of countryside in the city with walks in the woods and meadows. The cafe is excellent and there's an extensive playground for children too.

Fantastic woodlands with clearly marked trails, suitable for families and kids. The natural wood playground is excellent and The Orchard cafe is wonderful too. Good facilities throughout and everything is well maintained.

D. B.
Very busy on a sunny Sunday. Nice walk around the woods. Ponds and water bits need some tlc but playgrounds was awesome for the little one
S. K.
Lovely surroundings, reasonably priced menu, could do with a bit more variety, but good quality.
A. P.
My kids loved it here, great for dog walks as well.
D. S.
Lovely place. Very muddy play area so wellies and rough clothes recommended
A. H.
Great to see the little kids playing outside on the playground and running around the field again. Cafe is always good to get a drink and quick bite. Of course neighbour County Hall are all working 'elsewhere' so you know the parking is all for the park and not occupied all day by them! The main car park is still given over to covid facilities so there is time to enjoy the park for a while - please do! The parents, grandparents, children and dogs will all enjoy the exercise around the woods and park in clean air!
T. C.
Lovely place to walk the dogs. Big open field and nice woods to walk through. Food and drinks are tasty and nice quality and there is a great park if you have children. Would definitely recommend for a day out!
e. p.
Brilliant family fun day, play areas for different ages and huge woods to explore with wide flat paths suitable for pushchairs and wheel chairs, dog friendly, a great day out, café on site, toilets and dog wash facilities for mucky paws.
W. M. L.
Nice woods and park. Not sure how you justify £4.75 for a mushroom sandwich though. Utter rip.
L. C.
Brilliant day out with the family, lovely cafe, toilets were clean as was the whole site. Friendly staff. Well worth a visit.
P. M.
A nice place to go for a walk with family or the dog. Well presented, dangerous areas signed and sectioned off, not muddy on main paths, lots of different paths to explore, some field areas. The cafe and play area are brilliant additions and the parking is free as well. The woods themselves have a rich history which is explained well in information boards. Not the biggest place to explore but enough to keep families busy for 2-3 hours.
C. B.
Excellent family orientated outdoor space. Plenty to do and lots of walks to take round the woods. Nice cafe too!
P. S.
Beautiful Surroundings Nice Walk For The Family And Coffee Shop With Reasonable Prices
M.
Great place for kids and walkers Safe for under 5s and plenty to do. Cafe well equipped and also a toilet. Free parking. Great to walk through the woods. Only niggle was there were lots and lots of dogs and plenty of barking which upset my twin Granddaughters. Lots off leads to which I don't think is allowed but that said its s good place to visit .
A. J.
Lovely area to walk, takes about an hour, lovely park for the kids and cafe.
Very dog friendly, lots of dog walkers
L. W.
Lovely place. Could do with some bins around the place though, and dog poo bins, instead of having to traipse to the cafe every time to find a bin.
O.
Superb park with woodland walk, fields, visitor centre, café and play park. Perfect for dog walking and kids.
A. G.
Lovely woods , cafe , facilities and walks . Thoroughly recommend.
I. B.
Beautiful adventurous woodland walks with something for everyone and everywhere wheelchair friendly. A superb play area for the under 15s, huge flat grass area for whatever you may want to do on grass, some activities for older kids (and adults!), eateries and some loos should you get caught short. During your woodland walk you can even hop next door to County Hall and admire the lakes, waterfalls and fountain.
A. C.
Great for children and dogs, nice little cafe.
C. R.
Beautiful woodland walk and great cafe. Good playground for kids
a.

Really nice walks here , play area was good , and free parking is a bonus
D. R.
Beautiful well managed wood with good paths for walks with dogs and kids. Orchard cafe caters well for young and old humans and their doggy companions.
J. P.
Lovely walks through Nunnery woods.. & dog enjoyed her run on the field playing fetch.
The cafe was very busy. But didnt think the ordering system outside worked very well. As had to wait in a queue twice for coffees which was over 30 mins.. Food was taking a lot longer. 😡
N. R.
Good day out with kids. Nice play areas and woodland walks. Great cafe with fantastic food.
M. R.
Great play area for the kids and the car park is free which is a bonus. So much quieter on a weekday than at the weekend.
Cafe sells lovely food and drinks. A nice walk through the woods to wear it all off afterwards.
S. P.
Nice woodland trail. Cafe, toilets
Free parking
M. E.
Sometimes an eco-friendly environment will provide an uplifting change. Worcester woods makesife better.. well done to all those who support and look after it and certainly well done to all those who join in and be there.
R. H.
Seems to be popular among the locals, could be alternative to Motorway service as I read on other reviews but certainly not for people looking to visit different playgrounds and walking trails. We felt our 30mins drive wasn't worth it.
The walking trail is quite short and play area doesn't justify visit from non-locals.
k. l.
We love it here. It can get busy but theres plenty of space. The woods are great for a shaded walk. Theres 2 different wooden based play areas plus a picnic area& a big field so lots of space - especially important at this point in time. Children& dog friendly & all free. The cafe sells a great selection of drinks, ice cream& food. We are very lucky to have this on our doorstep!
T. B.
This has become one of our favourite stop off points when travelling, the children love the playground and the woods to explore and there is a nice cafe for food, drinks and snacks. Plenty of parking available and its just a couple of minutes off the motorway. I would much rather stop here than a faceless motorway services for food and drink.
F. T.
Lovely park with nice cafe and free parking. Really close to the motorway too.
B. C.
Still a great place to stop off and have a break with te dogs
M. G.
Love walking the woods it's a great trail to walk lots of creatures to see
S. B.
Really nice play area and good clean toilets and facilities. There is a good amount of play equipment for older children and a smaller fenced area for younger children. We also enjoyed the crazy golf course and small train ride. Will definitely come here again.
A. C.
Watch out for the bees nest in the wood.dog and owner stung .but it's a nice place to visit car park free. 21.07.2022
C. “. S.
Fantastic days out for the kids. Only downfall is the wasps and flies round the cafe.
H. G.
Beautiful woodland walk suitable to all abilities and time constraints. Good economical drinks available and easy parking. Thanks for a lovely time.
M. W.
Lovely place to walk a dog, or simply to have a wander around. Lots of room for kids to play. Cafe on site, but unfortunately chosen not to permit inside dining, despite relaxation of covid rules.
N. P.
Great place to walk around and chill at the cafe
L. B.
Great family day out . We absolutely loved it here .
В. Н.

d. p.
Great woods .lovely cafe .and loads for the little ones to do.
J. W.
Free parking, a place to get a drink, toilets and some lovely walks across fields and through woodland
G. B.
Highly recommend this place when travelling along M5. If you prefer not to use motorway services, this is for you. Large car park that is free, large grassed area for children and dogs. Play area for children also a wooded area, toilets and a cafe.
H. T.
Great woods and cafe.very dog friendly. Fab menu and service. Needed more directions in woodland for the uninitiated. Had no idea where to go once in woods or how to find way back. Lovely area for walking though.
K. S.
Fabulous country park with plenty of space for dogs to explore and exercise. Great amenities, too. Our only disappointment was the attitudes of some local people who objected to me throwing a tennis ball to my dogs. This came from an attendee of a local dog training group who use the country park - a public place - to hold classes. A local man who stopped to acknowledge how upset I was by this told me that the teacher regularly abuses dog walkers who disturb her classes. I suggest someone from Worcestershire County Coucil strongly advises her to run her classes from a private facility in future before other visitors are derived from coming to this otherwise awesome place.
L. 2.
Love it. Great day out. Nice food even though its expensive. Love the wood carvings in the woods. Makes it so much more exciting
M. N.
Great park for the whole family great food too
K. B.
The play area was beautiful; well thought out and designed and lovely to see natural equipment in neutral colours in keeping with the wooded area behind it. The trails through the woods were well laid out; probably easier to follow in spring and summer when there's more leaves to make "walls".
The reason this review didn't get 5 stars is down to the cafe and the toilets; the cafe was clean, food was pleasant and atmosphere ok but I thought it was a bit overpriced for what I could be made at home.
Second star lost was for the baby changing facilities; fortunately I didn't need to use them as my little girl has just potty reined but I did have a look inside (mainly because we would have had more room than both of us squeezing into a cubicle) sadly, I was very put off; the fold down changing table was filthy, there was paper all over the floor and the toilet hadn't been flushed. Not nice for changing little babies.
A. H.
Wonderful, peaceful walk with the dog
I. d.
Love this area, lots for the children to do, shame the toilets aren't open until 6pm
S. F.
Brilliant place to go get some fresh air and let the children run about. Don't forget your wellies though absolutely caked In it. And I wouldn't take a pram in the woods unless your feeling strong in these wet seasons.
A. G.
Kids love the newly refurbished park! Some areas made safer too so that you’ve peace of mind that they’re safely playing. Allows parents to relax more too! Don’t forget to have a go on the train on the other side of the playing field!!
C. T.
What a great outdoor facility for families and their canine friends. We spent a great few hours here and our dog loved it. Free car parking was a bonus. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
R. D.
Good Café, variety of footpaths & free parking
P. H.
Lovely walk in the woods and a nice restaurant to eat at
A. M.
A lovely day out. We arrived at around 10:30 and there were plenty of spaces in the carpark but when we left around 2:30 the carpark was very busy! There is a great woodland walk and a fantastic play area with lots of space to sit or even picnic on the large grass area.
A. H.
Lovely early morning walk with dogs.
A. W.
Great place to walk the dogs - friendly staff, good food and delicious cakes. They also have a doggy wash station which is really helpful for these winter months!
P. C.
Lovely spot to go for a walk in the woods, they children can play on the newly refurbished playground and the cafe offers very tasty food and drink at sensible prices. Ample free parking too.
A. P.
really nice walk, the cafe is simple but nice
C. S.
Great place to connect with nature with the whole family.
J. K.
Just love this place plenty of space to walk around
G. P.
Lovely place for a picnic and to take the dogs
J. L.
A nice park with a cafe, playground for the kids and a good circular walk around it through fields and woods.
D. H.
Great place to walk our dally on the return journey home
M. F.
This is a place my family and I visit regularly. There is a wide open green and a park for the kids to play in. The restaurant is clean and the staff pleasant although it's a little pricey. The food is nice but we normally only get coffee to carry around on a walk around the woods.
The woods are lovely and there are a few routes to follow. There are plenty of dog walkers and the car park is normally quite full during bank holidays and busy times of day.
I'd recommend for a nice stroll and breath of fresh air.
J. T.
Lovely woodland walk, dogs need not be on a lead. Could do with some signage to help get around, we had to ask people. Parking and cafe available.
S. H.
Always a lovely route to walk to work, especially on a sunny day 😎
v. c.
It may have been our first time but it won't be our last, amazing little route for my disabled sister on her scooter, cracking cafe restaurant, although I have no children the amount of things for them to do their is outstanding, you could cheerfully spend a day there xx
W. W.
A good patch of grass and gypsies enjoy their time there
N. A.
Great place to take the dog for a walk, nice flat, well kept paths.
Nice cafe at the county hall end of the woods.
H. P.
Great place to get yourself in the outdoors, walks through the woods, park & fields for the kids to play & cafe sells reasonably priced food & drink, free parking which is a rarity these days. Highly recommend
S. R.
It was nice and cool inside today when it was 30 degrees outside.
R. P.
Really nice and clean' great for dog walking and picnics with family/friends free parking and a lovely cafe! Park area is great for the kids! Brilliant.
K. P.
Different trails all flat and pram friendly, lovely kids park that has been recently redone. Cafe with indoor and outdoor seating and public loos.
R.
We love Worcester woods. Lovely walk around the woods and then a lush cake and cuppa at the end while the kids play in the park.
A. H.
While the youngsters surge round the two main park sections (One for small children, one for bigger kids), you can sit back and relax from either the outdoor tables or inside the cafe, which sells Coffee, Cakes or other meal items.
There is an over hang with a line of tables too, next to the cafe, which protects from the rain, if Google Weather lets you down.
Next to the park is a very large open field to play ball games and the like, and if that isn't enough, there is even a small train ride which is open during the dry seasons.
Nunnery Wood is situated next to the park and is a great place to get lost in the wilderness and for your children to play hide and seek amongst the trees. Make sure they bring their wellies as there are plenty of places to splash about, so don't ruin their new shoes!
All in all it's a great place to have family days out including picnics etc, of which I have had many times and definitely will again in the future!

Great place to visit. Good level walk in woods with push chair. Well constructed play area for kids and a pleasant outdoor seating area for refreshments indoor area closed for now due to covid I assume
S. B.
A great spot to take the kids with a younger & older playground. A big field and the woods for a walk. Dog friendly. Great cafe.
T. L.
Peaceful when you wanted it. Stuff to do with the kids. Could do with better signs and activities for 15 years plus.
C. D.
Stopped off here on our way to Cornwall, great place just off the motorway to stop for lunch. Parking was free, play areas are ok for older kids, not too much for really little ones but lots of green space to run around. There is a little train ride operating in the field at £2 a trip. Plenty of benches to eat at along with a coffee shop serving snacks and drinks. Toilets are clean and tidy.
B. S.
Lovely place and always popular. Good for food too
P. R.
Very well kept grounds you can have a nice walk through the woods looking at trees ect if your lucky you might see a squirrels they is also a nice and safe area for children can play and also the cafe where you can get a cup of coffee ect after your walk
L. C.
Good family space great homemade food
J. U.
For a city County park this is worth a visit. The field and off the tracks is very muddy so if you have a dog be prepared for a muddy dog. The cafe is great and worth a visit
T. M.
Great place to bring the kids and walk around woods. Good play area, and large grass area.
E. W.
Safe and pretty wooded park easy to accessfromthe M5 and mid Wales. In normal times a coffee bar and restaurant provides nice food and drinks. Good play areas for kids and a very long woodland walk suitable for families adds interest and exercise. Parking good and safe.
F. P.
This is a stunning woodland area hidden away on the outskirts of the city, with hidden ponds and hollow trees for kids or adults to explore! There are set paths for you to follow if you wish, I recommend taking a photo of the map at the entrance to the forest with your smartphone! Alternatively you can immerse yourself and get lost among the winding narrow paths but br careful of the mud!
The paths are frequented by friendly dog walkers but many dogs run off their leads here so be aware if you are nervous of dogs.
There is a cafe next door which is offering takeaway and outdoor seating at the moment.
Overall it is a wonderful place to explore and smell the fresh trees and plant life. Who knows what animals you may be able to spot? Keep an eye out!
G. P.
Always lovely spot to relax and enjoy with kids
R. G.
The only woodland I've been to with a coffee shop!
s. m.
A lovely walk in the woods with the dog but the cafe is seriously over priced that is the reason for only 3 star's will go again but will take my own food and drink
G. H.
A great place for all, whether it's a walk through the woods, a run around on the field, kids playing in the play ground or a drink and snacks from the cafe. We find it best late in the evening to give the dog a run, it's quiet and the kids also have time to play on the swings. Easy to find, car parking is free, relaxing few hours walking the woodland area and letting the kids play.
S. T.
Nice short walks and longer ones as well as a number of activity areas for the children
M. M.
Excellent food and service. Really look after you.
Great for kids. Interesting woods for walking the dogs.
They love it here.
S. P.
Lovely place to walk the dog and the children's play area will be great when its complete at the end of August. The cafe looks good too!
A. M.
Great place for a family day out.!
a. s.
Fantastic park ;)
S. D.
Very beautiful place! My son love.. 🙃
D.
Love this place so much. I grew up here and the park is amazing! Beautiful scenery and the field is lovely to sit on and relax. The park is fun for the kids and there's just a lot to do and experience. There's even a train to ride and sometimes a bouncy castle
M. W.
Staff and site are brilliant. Area for all types of people ranging from people with young children as it's got a great park and cafe. The woods are great for people who can walk as much as they want, great for dog walking and disabled friendly. I just wish they'd be more responsible and pick up their dog mess as you do see some of it sometimes. I can't do the walks Any more but my family say it's still really nice when spring and summer are here.
G. R.
Wonderful place to take children. Cycling here for little ones is brilliant.
C. C.
Lovely place to go for walking, particularly when it's bluebell time. Nice cafe, too.
L. B.
A pleasant place to be if you find the presence of young mums and their children exhilarating. Good food on offer.
P. D.
We really enjoyed our afternoon out here today, took my 1 year old for a walk around the woods on his trike. Then had a coffee from the Orchard Cafe, lovely service from the staff and reasonably priced. Then played in the park and had a ride on the train. The train was definitely the highlight for my little boy.
A. H.
A lovely walk through the woods and round the natural meadows, that we rarely see now, took me back to my childhood. Separate play areas for young and older children and a welcoming cafe where we had tasty food and good coffee at a reasonable cost. All this and free car parking. We only had a couple of hours there but could have spent much longer.
R. D.
Worcester Woods is an outstanding local resource. The woodland area is diverse and easily accessed from the main entrance. The main field offers a safe area for ball games. The children's play area is varied enough to appeal to most pre-school and primary school - aged children and the meadows provide a different option for dog- walkers. The cafe is well-run, offers a good range of refreshments and there is plenty of room outside to eat on the picnic tables. Worcester Woods has been an excellent amenity during the pandemic. Worcester Woods also has an excellent parkrun, that will hopefully be allowed to function again soon.
J. P.
Great place for adults and kids. Take picnic.
J. H.
Great for families/weather related 🙂nice coffee/food and adventure playground 🤸♀️🚶♀️
P. S.
Excellent open area, walks, play area for the kids. Even a children's train ride that we didn't explore fully but will do again once we go back! There's a nice cafe and seating area which is very relaxing.
L. P.
Lovely place and so dog friendly
H. G.
Lovely park for family bike day
A. H.
Good facilities and pleasant walks with the pooches. Would be nice if there were stricter rules regarding on lead dogs in the main area. We've had quite a few occasions now where dogs have ran up to our reactive dog (on lead) and owners are no where to be seen.
R. H.
Lovely place, many different walks to choose, lovely food provided in an easy, socially distanced way.
A perfect day out with my family bubble and I used my mobility scooter to keep up with them 😊
k. t.
Lovely walk round here with friends
D. L.

Lovely setting, great woodland walks, play areas for children and loads of space for children dogs, family get togethers in a safe space. The cafe serves a wide range of home made dishes, including organic gluten free dairy free, nice drinks. There is something for everyone and not too expensive. Parking is free and suitable for people with mobility needs, push chairs etc. Parking for those using the countryside centre is strictly applied. There are tables available outside for picnics and you can take your own food. The whole approach is a stress free environment with a strong slant on wildlife and nature. Covid 19 rules well applied and when I visited the cafe was being adapted further to ensure social distancing. It's also very near Worcester Royal Hospital with a hardstanding walk straight from there. Highly recommended
T. J.
Lovely open space, lots for kids to do.
M. W.
Great place to take the kids. Lots to do and also a good cafe on site. Look out for the wold rabbits around the perimeter.
M. F.
Very pleasant walk, be prepared for muddy patches.
S. H.
Great parks for small and big kids alike. If your children have a lot of energy there is plenty of space in the park and woods for them to burn it off. The woods are surprisingly large and there are lots of things for children to observe in terms of wildlife and trees/plants.
D. G.
Rural aspects on the edge of town and a get away from it all place. Also has good cafe.
A. F.
Always nice to walk here. Lovely lunch from the cafe
C. P.
It's so nice to have a lovely walk through the woods then back to café for hot soup and roll 🤣🤣
J. W.
Well worth a visit and lovely coffee stop!. I had the gluten free millionaire shortbread but the carrot & chocolate cake were also good choices ( my fellow cyclists also reported! Lovely thanx
P. G.

S. L.
Brilliant Park, well worth a visit. Lovely cafe serving great food. Two lovely walks and two great play areas for kids. We spent 6 hours here and the kids still didn’t want to leave!!
m.
A decent place if you have children or dogs. Can walk for miles through woods with information all around a centre in the middle for food and drinks quite an extensive park network of swings and slides and also other things. Outdoor seats and things nice in the summer as I said especially if you have kids. Car parks free too and also a small walk to the hospital ;)
J. P.
Fantastic. Only spoilt by the usual minority of selfish dog owners.
T. N.
Great place for the kids to run free. Nice big out door play area with a nearby cafe, so we could have a cup of coffee while they played. Also, on the day we were there the children were able to make jewellery for themselves, helped along by the lovely lady that was running it.
A. T.
We love this place. A great cafe, lovely ice-cream and fantastic play park and beautiful meadow walks for children and dogs.
J. P.
Worcester woods is a lovely place to walk, take the family, walk the dog and take part in a park run. The cafe is fab and very good value .it saves amazing generous slices of home made cakes, panninis jacket potatoes etc. And there is a wide open space for children to run around and a lovely playground too. A super way to spend a few hours in the open air with the family/dog.
N. H.
Great day out for the family and so doggy friendly cafe

Went after New Year. Wasn't expecting to need to wear wellies, it was quite muddy and dog poo was on the trail so couldn't take pram which was a shame as we were there to go for a walk with friends. Haven't tried the cafe but the scenery was nice and despite the mud/poo it was a nice walk. At the entrance (near the cafe) there is a small wooden play area to keep your kids busy.
T. R.
Best place in Worcester! Great cafe, great area, lots of space and things to do. Been keeping me sane in lockdown. Always visited when I was younger and has been a part of my life. Never disappointed:)
J. T.
Family & dog friendly. Wrap up & enjoy a walk & let the kids burn off extra energy on the play park while you enjoy excellent coffee
D. H.
Great place for the family the children love the woods and the park and the best thing is you can sit and watch them on the park with a coffee and a piece of homemade cake l.
J. J.
Found by happy accident, walk back from Worcester Royal hospital, to the car park beautiful Blue Bell woods had to take some photos.
Mom had unfortunately broken her wrist, we were walking back to the car and took a wrong turn, there it was a sea of blue.
My Mother's favourite spring time flowers, there before us blue bells. There we both stood mesmerised, with Mom feeling miserable because of her wrist, seeing the carpet of blue brighten up hers and my day!
With the dreaded mention of covid 19, I hope the staff and patients get to enjoy the beauty of this small oasis of calm.
L. R. (.
lovely walk and nice dog and child friendly cafe. excellent park too
R. K. R.
Great place to stop for a driving break.
A. S.
Great little facility with good food and loads for the kids to burn themselves out. Handily very near the M5 if you’re looking for a stop off with the kids/dog.
M. W.
Great place to take your dog for a walk looks like decent facilities but haven't used them playground seems popular with the kids
J. S.
Well laid out Trails. Rangers friendly and helpful. I accidently parked in a Disabled bay (Bay markings completely faded). Was asked move by Park Ranger, who was very polite & understanding. Used Cafe for first time. Menu great, Prices good, Staff Very Friendly. Food tasty. Will definately use again. Have 2 dogs who will love this place. Thumbs up to All the Staff there!
A. M.
Great for walks :) lots of blue bells in May
D. H.
Lovely to walk through the woods. There are 2 parks aimed at different age groups of children. Large green open space to do activities such as play football or fly kites.
Very good cafe with high quality food.
S. B.
This countryside centre situated on the outskirts of Worcester has a cafe serving teas , coffee and juices plus snacks to refresh you after a pleasant walk in woodland or meadows. There is a large play area for the children well fenced for their safety. Can be accessed by car for which there is a large free car park.
E. R.
Lovely place to while away a few hours with the kids. Nice cafe, lots to do for most ages. There was a jewellery making session on which the 11/12 year olds loved and was only £2.50. Bouncy castle was cheap at around £1.50 and lovely van selling ice creams and coffees.
b. d.
Quite busy in school hols, good playground and wood walk

T. W.
Decent sized wood with multiple paths. Fairly level so easy access - suitable for pushchairs. Good for kids. Also two small play areas for kids and a great big field to play in. Very popular in holidays and at weekends. Good cafe for meals, snacks and coffee, although it gets busy and queues can be quite long. Toilets available. Not so good on a rainy day!
P. D.
Nice simple kids park with range of trails and walks complemented with facilities public convenience and decent cafe.
Gets muddy when wet take wellies.
Loads free parking in adjacent car park inside barrier.
F. H.
Brilliant place. The kids adore it here. Sprawling woodland with signposted walks, two big kids play areas, massive field to play in, and amazing visitors centre with great cafe (AMAZING cakes) and plenty of outdoor picnic benches in sun or shade. Can not recommend this place highly enough
S. A.
Went to a dog show. Which was fun
J. B.
Great place, lovely food for adults. The children's lunchbox option was a bit of a let down, a hot dog roll with three very thin slices of cheese was not enough. A bread sandwich would be better.
Outdoor space was great :-)
P. H.
Good place to walk a dog or take kids for an entertaining summer afternoon on some fun playgrounds and wood walks.
I don't have dogs or kids (!) so just not the right place for me but still nice enough for a one-off walk.
M. B.
Great place for a walk in wood with free parking. Bad points are lack of parking, Saturday mornings the place can be taken over by runners, so not a time to take kids and toddlers for a walk. Kids will love the play parks, which there is two, one for younger children only.
m. w.
Always good walk for the kids, whatever the weather. Very popular on the weekends and the updated play ground has been a hit.
R. R.
Lovely, altbough one or two dog mess bags left on trees!! Swans and their:signers plus dozens of ducks plus one golden eye. Worth a look.
A. W.
Great park, with lovely woods, and great play area for children of all ages. The restaurant is great too, offering some vegan and none vegan meals

Lovely place and can't wait till the cafe is fully open dog walking or just generally breathing in the fresh air and getting away from it all on one of the walks.
J. B.
Fantastic place for the kids. Rather expensive cafe so always worth thinking about a picnic
L. L.
Lovely place for a walk plus the park is good for the kids can get busy though.

S. P.
Lovely place for a walk. Great play area and lovely cafe on site too
T. S.
Whenever we are travelling from Cornwall/Devon back up to Yorkshire we always stop here for the kids to have a run around and burn off some steam as it's far better than a service station, full of pollution and nowhere for the kids to go.
There is a huge park suitable for all ages of children and on a weekend there is a bp8bcy castle and small train.
This is literally 2 minutes off the motorway at junction 7 of the M5.
On this occasion we decided to have some food as it always looks delicious every time we've been. And we were not disappointed as it is excellent food for a reasonable price. All the staff are friendly and there's ample seating inside or outside for you to sit and enjoy what you buy or what youve brought.
We sat and ate food from the restaurant but our kids 4 & 2 had their pack up and no one batted an eye lid like can happen in pretentious places.
Our kids love it here and we will be back soon.
M. M.
Came across this wonderful place when I went to a dog show, after 3 dogs chased each other for an hour round the woods we were able to hose them down in a place specially for this purpose. So useful as we had to put them back in a car. Wet but clean.
D. S.
Super place where you can relax and walk around an ancient coppice woodland, walk your dog or just enjoy the peace and quiet. The cafe between the woods and the carpark serves good food and has inside and outside seating.
B. D.
A beautiful place to go if you need some outside space. Covers all needs. A forested area, an open field with play area and some meadows with a beautiful array of wild flowers when in season. Highly recommended.
B. K.

S. S.
A great place to get outside and enjoy a walk. The kids playground is very good with a variety of fun things. The cafe is great as well.
B. T.
My husband & myself very often walk our 2 collies around the country park and then finish it off with a cuppa and something to eat. The bacon butties and sausage butties are really good - hubby has them, and more often than not I'll either have a bowl of porridge or a small piece. All of which are good value for money. There are also play parks there for small children.
A. M.
Great park, playground, cafe and woods to walk around.
S. E.
Extra star for vehicle charging
Extra star for (material separating) recycling bins
C. S.
It's a great outdoors area that is very well kept, large double play area, couple of fields, lovely wood to walk around and a good cafe and ice-cream van on site. Staff seem engaged and content unlike some parks and country side areas. Good accessable parking and relaxed enough for a planned group or just to wear out the children.
L. B.
Lovely place, meadows, woods, play area and a nice cafe, what more do you need
P. C.
Lovely lunch and nice walk
L. L.
Wonderful park and cafe. Really great to be able to meet outside with family in safe space.
G. Y.
Always enjoy a trip here with my boys. The playgrounds are good but can be extremely busy but the woods are amazing. Such a hidden gem and deceptively big.
C. B.
Lovely walk in the woods with a trail for the kids to follow. Nice little cafe and an ice cream truck outside serving delicious flavours. Good play park with an area for younger and older children. Easy parking.

Friendly staff and nice sandwiches.
Forest is kept tidy, no litter. Looking forward to exploring more and more.
E. P.
Great place to walk the dog.
T. S.
Well managed and maintained woodland walk. Clear marking with some fun trails for mini foresters. An anodyne from melancholy and a source of peace and harmony.
B. M. -. S.
Stop here after a traffic jam on the M5. Good size car park that is free to use. Popular if your a family with young ones and those with dogs. It has plenty of space and has toilets and a cafe on site. There is woodlands and a play area.
L. s.
Great place for running/walking and older children in the play area. However the play area is not very safe for the infants and toddlers.
J. P.
Lovely place to walk the dog. Probably due to covid and the weather, but walk paths are very muddy! Fine if you go prepared.
s. b.

Great variety of stuff for kids to play on, ok restaurant and free parking! Something you don't hear of very often anymore!

So many paths to take you will never get bored, children’s play areas need some TLC and some more adding too it for a better selection and to avoid a huge queue for the slide
R. D.
Cool and peaceful place to take a walk in this hot weather. Cafe to get drinks, hot or cold, and also snacks. Seating inside or out and a pleasant play area for children.

Good place to have a walk

Excellent, free parking, very clean toilets, lovey walks through the woods and fields. Outside picnic tables. All very well organized and clean.

I really like this place. The cakes are delicious and I can zero waste here as you can choose not to have plastic. Great to be able to sit outside in the sheltered area, keeps the sun off and would keep the rain off too. Good spot for dog walking too but my favourite bit is....cake!
P. R.
Great day out with both kids and dogs lots to do and free parking and entry
S. M.
Very nice area to take children with park, fields, woods and shop/cafe
B. R.
Very handy mid point meeting place for family in East Midlands and South Wales! Lovely park and walks for the kids, and nice little cafe. Needs a bit better flow for cafe queue and service, but nothing desperate!
A. W.
Great to walk around, gets muddy in places in winter though so take your wellies! Trails to follow
L. S.
A great provision and free!! 2 big playgrounds, huge playing field, toilets, cafe, woodland walk and activities for children in holidays

I love the woods and the facilities, the woods are wild enough to feel natural but comfortable to walk round. The facilities such as large playing area and field are ideal for families.
The Cafe on the other hand while okay and the food generally good, has long wait times and is pricey. Near a fiver for a bacon sandwich.
P. B.
A lovely place for a family walk with free parking, a busy cafe or picnic benches, two playgrounds and a large playing field right next to extensive woods with several walking routes marked out and easy to follow. Dogs welcomed, even a hose to clean them off when muddy.
D. C.
Nice family-friendly open areas. Great for dog walking.
M. P.
Great place to take an easy walk either through the woods or meadows. Also got good play areas for the kids. Big cafe and car park.

Great park and cafe, lovely walks in the woods ,good for dogs.

Great place to walk the dog (if they're fine around kids, as this place is swarming with those). Dog-washing and dog-watering facilities provided, and dogs are welcome in the outside section of the cafe. The cafe itself is priced as you'd expect for a country park, but the food is exceptionally good. Friendly staff, too.

I wasn't allowed in the park but the covid test centre was open and I did a test which was very efficient. The park looked good and people seemed to be having a great time which made me jealous 😁

A great place to visit accommodating needs for all. Toilets for men and women and also disabled facilities and baby changing area.
Great place for a Saturday Park Run-fantastic atmosphere. There is also a children's play area, great cafe with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Good selection of food and hot and cold drinks, although as with all places like this, it can be a little expensive. I take picnic and 'top up' with treats from the cafe.
Take a nice walk through wooded area or kick a ball around the green field.
Whilst it does get busy I have never had a problem with car parking. Enjoy!
J. A.
It's nice and clean, some interesting walks with a pond and ducks / swans. Nice kids park.
OK for push chairs and bikes but is quite muddy so take wellies.
M. T.

Place is dog friendly, there is outdoor play area for kids, a cafe, ice cream van and nice (shirt) walks around.

M. D. P.
Nice place for a walk and for the kids to play and not far from the motorway
J. P.
Great place to take kids as its got a good park for them. The cafe is a bit high price. So it's cheaper taking your own picnic.
N. D.
Great FREE park for the kids. Plenty to do, whether it's playing on the climbing frames, or swings and slides. OR even a game of ball on open space. Then there's the walks and trails through the woods, looking at the range of trees and birds. And to finish, there is a small building with loos and a cafe selling snacks, ice cream, tea/coffee and soft drinks.
T. F.
Great place to go and very family friendly. Dogs are welcome.

PERRY WOOD, This wood is very popular for dog walkers. Many species of trees scattered throughout the wood. Bluebells prominent during early spring. The wood as many paths running throughout.
The down side of this wood is the defestation now evident with many dead or dying trees widely spread. Many trees and lower limbs are falling being a danger to walkers. It is adviced not to walk in the woods during high winds.
D. J.
Lovely day had, great walks around the woods. Cafe well worth a visit.
H. M.
Great place to either walk or take the kids for a run around 😃
The cafe is wonderful and has a great COVID-19 system in place and great choices, even vegan options.
C. E.

L. P.
Children's play park, visitor centre with cafe and lots of walks. Great for family and dogs. Free car parking too which is always a bonus these days.
A. W.
Very pleasant and ample parking... The park run is busy but achievable... lots of facilities on site...
J. J.
Quite refreshing walk, but not very suitable with small kids because of few irresponsible dog walkers who let the dogs on loose and they frighten young kids for life.
A. N.
The cafe, toilets and change facilities desperately need some updating and care but this is a great space with lots to do....although could do without the cheesy paid for "rides".....they look rundown and aren't needed.
L. S.
Great place for a nice family afternoon walk!
A. D.
Lovely place for the kids to play, lots for them to do, and the woods are great. Queue in cafe can be chaotic due to being next to door and food / drink shelf locations.
A. S.
Wonderful place. Great woods, open spaces and play areas, plus a cafe. A friendly country park. Great atmosphere.
L. R.
Stopped here to eat our sandwiches and coffee on the drive back from Wales...what a beautiful place! Wish we had more time to walk round it all :)
J. H.
Just love the atmosphere. A variety of well signposted guided walks or options to explore. Woods are well managed with extra treasure hunt type events for kids at holiday times. Cafe with great food and play area for the kids.
K. S.
A lovely safe area for children to run free. When the weather is good it's even better😊
C. S.
Great place, could do with less hospital or council people using the car park
