Lovely over night stay 22/01/22
Had lovely spa treatment from a lady called Linda - what a special inspiring person she is such an asset to your hotel.
Please pass on my warmest thanks to her for enjoyable , relaxing massages.

Bar & restaurant staff were very pleasant & efficient. The complimentary prosecco to celebrate our sons 30th was a lovely touch.
The spa treatments were excellent, we left feeling very relaxed.

Had our family Christmas dinner in the Carrick suite this year was a little disappointed if I’m honest.
Decor was great and ambiance of the hall, I do understand that 500 people were catered for that day BUT that cannot be a excuses for a “Hilton” brand for less than mediocre food at £60 per head and £30 for the children.
Starter of Salmon very nice but very small and I had main of Beef which was a little fatty and overdone, the sprouts were not cooked at all. The children had pizza which was not eaten as I could not, after requesting a steak knife, cut through the base, so that was a complete waste.
My father in law complained and the manger was nice to him but too late for me. Even the ice cream sundaes were left as they had a “cheap” ice cream taste to it, not luxury ice cream at all.
All in all the place was great the food less than mediocre with “Hilton” prices.

Had a lovely overnight break, nice Hotel, staff great, food good, very friendly especially with our Pup 🐶 .
Room was lovely, would've preferred the dog friendly room on the Ground floor nearer the door to take dog out for toilet. Unfortunately didn't get a chance to use the Spa
K. E.
Lovely spa experience but overall leisure facilities are a little tired. Staff lovely and rest of hotel seemed nice, service in the restaurant was terrible, we were pretty much ignored which Spoilt an otherwise lovely afternoon.

Quality hotel with great features. Some of the rooms appear a little dated, however others have been refurbished to a high modern standard. Pool, Spa and gym are fantastic and the location is breathtaking.
l. b.
Decent sized room, all conference rooms are far away from rooms so no noise at night.
Modern gym and pool with sauna.
Wish City centre hotels were like this.

Sadly, a disappointing year for us, a lack of food and wine choices at dinner was surprising in a hotel of this size. The staff were brilliant as always but after many years of coming here we may need to reconsider before returning next Christmas as it has lost some of its sparkle for us.

Went for a spa day, my second at the Westerwood. I couldn't fault the treatment experience (it was great) but the lunch was very disappointing, the soup was okay but the sandwich was the worst egg sandwich I've ever had, it tasted like all egg whites with tasteless mayo and no seasoning. My coffee was luke warm and there was confusion about what we got for lunch on the spa deal, different to what my booking confirmation said and they were a bit difficult when I questioned it even when I showed what was on my booking confirmation email. The pool is also in need of some tlc, lots of cracked and missing tiles and the whole pool area is in need of a bit of upgrading / repair. So if you're interested in a spa day, go for a nice treatment then go for food at the garden centre across the road instead because the food there is much better. Really disappointing food from the Hilton.

As we came in, there was swift service, quickly attended to and the friendly staff provided us with everything that was needed. Extremely nice room, clean and upto standards, pool and leisure facilities and staff were 5⭐️ Dinner and breakfast had a wide range of allergy free products and was quite satisfactory. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good time, nice tuck away from the city and great massage and leisure facilities.

Visited the spa for a full body massage. I was greeted by the wonderful Lindsay who did a excellent job taking all my knots and aches away😁. 10/10 will definitely be back.

The hotel was very busy, it was my cousin's 60th birthday celebration and there were quite a lot of challenges with our room, wait times etc., but Dana Black was on duty and she was so kind, helpful and worked exceptionally hard to sort everything out, nothing was too much trouble, she is a wonderful ambassador for the hotel. We were also really impressed with the staff in the restaurant who could not have been more helpful, polite and kind and Lindsay in the Spa is great.

Love going for a spa day here, however the only critisism I’d have is that the door to the relaxation room really needs a soft close. Nothing worse than trying to relax and the door slams shut every time someone enters the room. Not relaxing at all! And ideally needs to be a no talking/low voices policy. Trying to relax when others are talking loudly isn’t very relaxing and is inconsiderate. Haven’t went back since 2019 because of these issues. Puts you off.

The Golf Course could be a very good course. Well thought out holes. Unfortunately it's not maintained to a good standard. The Tees were very scabby and greens were not as good as they should be, especially when they were rolling quite well. The course in fairness was wet underfoot from previous nights downpour. It would benefit massively from a team of green keepers working daily on the course. It would be a totally different course. I would play it again.

Fabulous mini break with my two daughters & my Mum to celebrate Mums 91st birthday. Great price & excellent food, service & facilities. Will definitely return for a longer stay in the future. Being able to bring our dogs just made it a stress free break, thank you
L. W.
Very warm welcome. Beautiful hotel with amazing facilities. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was amazing.
B. A. N.
Stayed with a group of friends for a 60th birthday. From beginning to end our experience was amazing. Rooms, food, spa and customer service was impeccable. We will definitely be back.
A. F.
Overall lovely hotel, however areas within the rooms that could be modernised. The meals were lovely but would have appreciated a but more social distance.
M. W.
Good sleep friendly staff. Could do with makeover as mould in multiple places in bathrooms and light fitting in pool came loose.
R. C.
Nice hotel, friendly staff and all the amenities you could need. Kids enjoyed the pool, had a nice stroll around the golf club and also played some tennis.
Beds were comfy, rooms were clean and the food was very nice. Will be looking to stay again.
V. C.
Amazing polite staff absolutely made the stay for me!
Clean and luxurious, lovely views.
Beautiful food
Great hotel

Parents have been members of the leisure facilities for years, received 2 weekly passes for family members, went twice and they had no hot water, very poor for such a worldly brand
D. S.
Nice clean modern hotel with larger than average rooms. Good restaurant and bar at sensible prices. Gym, swimming and golfing available.
T. R.
Nice modern rooms, well appointed, the food was good and the. Staff were very obliging. A very pleasant stay.

Went for a 2 night spa break at the beginning of June . Gym facilities are to high standard and pool probably a good size for current restrictions (8 at a time ) . Spa was great but I've never really had one but thoroughly enjoyed both my full body massage and facial treatments
Rooms on the small size for a king deluxe but welcomed with a bottle of white and pink rose . Box standard room layout with tea and coffee making facilities , iron and board , safe , TV , alarm clock and hair dryer but all kept to a high standard so that's a plus . Decor was neutral and warm
Breakfast wasn't the most varied selection but waiting staff happily went out their way to remedy any shortcoming .
Only issue I would say was the restaurant on our first night. We did Book a tad late on in the evening and unfortunately near enough half the menu was unavailable. So went for a steak which came well done ( asked for medium rare ) . And salad had wilted leaves. Needless to say decided to venture out the second evening
What I would say is it's a Hilton , they do large number service at a good standard and although I don't believe many will be wowed if you go with reasonable expectations I think you will enjoy your stay

Great venue to hold an event at, ample free parking, easy to get to from the motorway. Event coordinator's were excellent, nothing was too much trouble.
K. C.
I had a great Spa day today which was fantastic. Lovely staff and very relaxing surroundings. Highly recommended. 😊
P. S.
Pleasant surroundings with good access route to major cities. Accomodation and facilities fair, in need of some TLC facelift, although clean, looks tired throughout.

My friend and I had a very comfortable, safe stay and the staff were very pleasant. I would like to say a big thank you to Elaine in the breakfast room for her help and friendliness. Reception arranged extra chairs for our room as we were having family visiting to join us for a meal. Thank you, very much appreciated. My favourite chill location.
H. B.
Fantastic stay no air-conditioning . I'm sure we would have been provided with a fan if we had asked.
Good breakfast my 7 year old loved the pool really good steam room would stay here again.

I booked the spa deal for my mothers 70th birthday as a surprise. Had a great experience here. From the moment we entered the hotel we where met with friendly helpful staff. The hotel was nice and clean along with our room putting our minds at ease especially given the while covid situation. The spa team where fabulous and looked after us. Our server for afternoon tea was super attentive and made us feel very special. This then carried onto the team that served our evening meal. The chef did a great job preparing our dinner and the servers even brought my mums desert out with a candle and sang happy birthday to her. This whole visit has been amazing from the moment we entered to the moment we left. Big thanks to everyone of the team that went over and above to make this the best birthday surprise for my mum.
L. W.
Excellent facilities, friendly staff and very comfortable rooms. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
A. B.
Really nice hotel, nice room with great staff.
Only let down was food and the selection offered.
D. M.
Beautiful hotel lovely rooms comfortable beds lovely meals in the restaurant, spa weekend was amazing
K. C.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Public areas are ok and modern looking. Rooms were not the cleanest and cooked breakfast wasn't great, but over all a comfortable staff for a couple of nights.
Y. M.
Stayed here a couple of times now and enjoyed both stays.
Under the current climate everything was as expected.
Hopefully return again when a bit more normality has resumed.
Staff were all lovely and room was nice too.
Peaceful getaway.
Would maybe stay 2 nights next time.
K. S.
Had a lovely stay here, hotel beautiful and leisure facilities on point. Room was lovely and clean. Dinner was great, lots of choice and staff very attentive. Breakfast was good again lots of choice.
Was disappointed that there was no hand wash within the room considering the current circumstances.
W. F.
Could possibly have a freshen up. Rubbish bins outside hotel overflowing at night and next day.
On the plus side rooms are big and airy.
I. M.
Very friendly staff with a warm atmosphere
Good food and a very nice sitting area for drinks
Will definitely be going back
a. a.
Nice venue. Enjoyed the wedding. Easy to get too.
Z. C.
Rooms are a good size, clean, just the bathrooms need a little bit of TLC. Staff were great. We had dinner there, which was very tasty!
I. B.
Loved it, pool was great, good to get back to the sauna and steam room. Food was amazing.
J. B.
Nice hotel and friendly staff,,, evening meal service very slow Saturday, but fine on the Friday, breakfast staff very friendly and helpful.
Played 3 rounds of golf on what is an excellent layout, however needs some big investment to improve condition and could be up there with some of best about, overall good experience, nice rooms and clean, would recommend 👍
D. E.
The staff at the Spa and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. Not so at the reception desk.
P. S.
The suites are great for families - a separate 2nd bedroom with its own TV and table/chairs, plus handy to have a fridge in the room.
Spa/leisure facilities good; decent sized pool which is nice and warm.
Breakfast pretty good, and bar prices are reasonable for a hotel (a little cheaper than pubs in Glasgow city centre).
Set in lots of grounds for the gold course, with trails available for non-golfers.
E. A.
Good food, friendly staff and fast service, groundsman need to up his game, messy course and sand not raked.
S. T.
Stayed here for three nights. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The room/suite was nice and spacious but there were a few niggles. Despite the aspiration for srict COVID cleanliness, I discovered a pair of socks behind the curtain left by the previous occupant, which had not be removed before my arrival and the next day some of the tea sachets were not replenished by housekeeping. I also had also a problem contacting reception from the room ‘phone. Firstly there was no contact number provided to dial (only room service which was not answered) and the phone’s mouthpiece was faulty. Despite reporting this, the fault had not been repaired during the day when I was out and the reception staff did not have any information as to what was happening. Clearly, in a nightime emergency this could be a definite problem.
Apart from these observations, my stay was comfortable, relaxing and the restaurant staff helpful, efficient and friendly.
S. C.
Lovely venue for a wedding, but slow reserve meal. Appa5a 35min wait for main meal after starters.
A.
Thank you Alexis for making the check in and check out the best experience ever.
Perfect hotel with superb location, thanks for the delicious cookies, kids as well as adults loved it very much.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to spend quite time around the big pool and the golf course surrounding the hotel.
We booked 2 rooms which was spacious with all the necessities thrown in, fridge, hair dryer, iron, tea and coffee making facilities, shampoos, towels and beautiful cosy beds, oh yes.. above all, free car parking is available on sight.
Would love to visit this hotel again.
Thank you all for making our stay very comfortable.
G.
Had an amazing experience and the staff were amazing. Highly recommend

Spent wedding night here but was disappointed we couldn't have meal or drink with our witnesses. Also bar closed at 6pm so we couldn't go there either but it wasn't hotel fault but due to couldn't.
D. M.
Stayed here on our wedding night. Place is amazing. Wide variety of drinks and the food was delicious
L. G.
Nice room and hotel but unfortunately for a hilton the details let it down like mold in shower and curtains with mold stains and rips in on etc so it's just the details that let this hotel down especially after being closed for covid you think they would fix the details.
M. P.
We went for a 2 day golf break, unfortunately the golf course was best 1 star standard. Neglected the teeing grounds were very poor as on and just under the surface was very stoney, the grass turned into dust as you played your shot thats if you could find somewhere to put in your tee due to the massive divot holes all over the teeing ground. Most fairways were brown and went dusty after playing your shot, bunkers had not been looked after in quite a while. All this whilst the Scottish government allowed golf to be played during lockdown.
The room we had was adequate but you could not close and lock the window, becomes a security risk.
NOW THE GOOD SIDE
Fantastic and friendly staff giving great service food was very good. Only stayed the 1 night as the golf we went for was atrocious, WOULD NOT RECCOMEND until course brought upto a decent standard.
G. H.
Under present difficult guidelines lines. I think the Westerwood Hotel did very well. Reception staff should highlight you need to book breakfast when you arrive and not leave it up to guest to read leaflet at their leisure and think we also caught barman on an off moment when we had our first drink as next day he was on top form
j. b.
Large bedroom for the overnight stop.quite dated and the water was not hot for the bath.
Our group meal was quiet mediocre, the buffet breakfast was average and the milk had gone sour in the coffee machine
S. J.
Great spa experience. Clean facilities. Lovely afternoon tea.
N. C.
This is a great hotel experience and we will always look forward to returning.
I. T.
I used this hotel for a work stay
Everything you would expect from this group of hotels.
Rooms were of a good size and well laid out including a large screen TV and refrigerator all rooms and common areas have free to access WiFi.
The staff were friendly and helpful and I gotvthe impression that they were driven to provide excellent customer service
The food menu wasn't large but all the dishes I had were very good.
As for breakfast I was leaving before it started they arranged for a grab bag with fruit pastries and 2 drinks the chef even made me a bacon Roll to take with me.
I will definitely be using this hotel again and have recommended it to my colleagues.
L. D.
Fantastic hotel, lovely staff and food was delicious. The spa experience was amazing and very well organised. Pool very clean as was changing rooms. Will be back
w. m.
The spa treatment was amazing could not fault it ,bed comfy .meals were OK slow service and drinks service to table slow as well
E. C.
We had a great weekend stay at the Westerwood and will return again - all the staff were helpful and we were made to feel welcome and well looked after during our stay. COVID restricts things slightly but the team there made you aware of what you need to book / do so it wasn't an issue
L. F.
First the good, the breakfast staff were fab, lovely and working very hard. Plated breakfast very good, similar to previous Hilton stats, which is hard to maintain with covid. Laura who I spoke to before booking, lovely and helpful. 15 min walk away is the tiny village of Cumbernauld, we had to go for dinner as hotel restaurant bookings full. Beds very comfortable.
A couple of not so goods - the bathroom needs decorating when it's safe, peeling paint. Lucy on reception unable to help when asked to move from twin to double, hotel full. Not what I booked though.
There is a lovely golf course attached with golfers crowding for their coffee in the morning.
Overall good stay, reflected in the very reasonable price
N. N.
Alexis at check-in was brilliant!
I noticed a few hand saniters dotted near the reception area only. No visible encouragement for guests to uphold safety measures such as mask wearing. There are a lot of Double doors across the hotel wings or blocks which are kept closed and there are no hand sanitizer stations which would be ideal atleast if doors not kept open, especially with a lot of people having to push or hold the door handles.
The Room we were booked in was quite spacious and clean though with no aircon. Not that im complaining but also I have booked in a lot of Double tree by Hilton hotels on a lot of special occasions in the past and been always given a welcome gift or perks of some sort. Not really been offered any this time which was different. Fire alarm went off, however there was not a visible staff member or fire marshal in sight on the top floor which i would suggest the hotel should take into consideration especially if it happens there is an elderly or disabled person who might need assistance in a real life threatening situations.
Hotel itself is lovely though There is Limited menu and just need to review a few things to make guest feel a lit more safer and at ease.
N. B.
Cousins wedding was here very nice hotel great event.
R. S.
Lovely overnight stay with my Mum, the grounds surrounding hotel is beautiful, room also, very clean and light colour, staff very friendly, Full body massage was superb, and relaxation afterwards, definitely recommend, would love to return.
J. R.
The staff were brilliant ....the hotel in general was nice but some parts were looking a bit dated .....the room was large and freshly decorated with a new bed but the furniture was a bit old. The bathroom had a good size bath and reasonable size shower the decor in here was also good but the shower cubicle looked a bit old. We had tuna sandwiches for lunch and although nice there was hardly any filling in them ....this was communicated to the waiter and he offered 50 percent reduction straight away,we did not take up this offer, just put some more filling in them please to substantiate the cost. The breakfast was superb with a great selection of well cooked food and cereals ect. All in all very good for the money please don't let any of these small negatives put you off.....the pool sauna jacuzzi and steam room were all great, as were the staff all very good. All very clean too.
I.
Nice hotel.
Stayed here for two weeks on business.
Good service from staff.
Noticed my room hadn't really been cleaned thoroughly.
Told reception.
They offered to move me but as I had already unpacked I declined.
Do they gave me complimentary drinks at the bar as way of apology.
Breakfast was nice.
Staff in breakfast room were friendly.
Gym is well equipped.
Pool , jacuzzi and steam room nice to use.
K. N.
Lovely place, SPA is nice, very friendly staff. The hotel was like a maze to us🤣🤣🤣
S.
Afternoon tea with spa day was lovely.
Staff are super friendly and helpful.
Afternoon tea was lovely, restaurant looks onto the golf course. Spa was lovely, all amenities you would expect (literally only downside is the floor was dirty around the seating/windows but this is quickly remedied.)
Treatments were lovely, couple treatment room is available if requested, literally perfect and Sandra specifically was so friendly and very professional, made the whole day even better!
Relaxation room is available to wait in before treatments, reccomend going there 10-15 minutes before to wind down before any treatments.
Will 100% return :) Thanks!
D. D.
Missing Hilton glory. Short staffed & new staff under training. No sight of House keeping during stay and have to do self service.
s. m.
Great deal great staff great food. No complaints. Had a great overnight. Dinner and breakfast was delicious.
K. R.
Good location, rooms and leisure facilities in need of an upgrade for a 4 star hotel.
H. S.
Very warm welcome from Alexis. Excellent Covid precautions without feeling restricted in our movements. Staff wonderful, friendly and helpful. Great Spa experience with Sandra and finished our day with a lovely meal . Great staff throughout our stay.
Would definitely recommend .
L. D.
*Very* comfortable + great shower! I stayed overnight recently while visiting friends and family over Christmas and it was super comfortable. The bathroom was slightly dated but I was super impressed with the power shower (I'm fussy with showers!) and it was very, very comfortable overall. The food at dinner was a different class, it was better than my Christmas dinner a few days before at a high end castle! The beef in particular was amazing and delicious and finished to a very high standard - I would have paid a lot more for it in Glasgow, never mind London - where I live. Overall I really enjoyed my stay, the hotel is spacious and comfortable with great food and great amenities. Also the staff really make you feel welcome without imposing.
A. B.
Comfortable hotel, great breakfast and dinner, everything you could need
P. W.
Had one night here after a damp game of golf. Staff and hotel very well prepared and set up for covid and I felt safe and comfortable. Staff were first class. Dining and breakfast not your usual hilton experience with a sparse dining room BUT wholly expected in the circumstances. Breakfast served to table which again felt very safe. Cant fault the hotels efforts and hope soon we can all be back to " normal" .
P. 1.
the spa was lovely , food was lovely , however the service was the slowest iv experienced for years , almost late for our afternoon treatments as it took so long to lunch , ordered wine at dinner and waited an hour , asked a few times , we ended up cancelling after an hour , other people were the same , the staff were friendly but all very new , lots of signs saying staff in training however no one supervising the new staff , just made the day a bit stressful x
J. T.
The staff were all very professional. We were attending a family wedding and staying with you and the assistance from all your staff helped to make it a really good memory. Thank you all at Double Tree Hilton, Cumbernauld.
S. J.
Adequate. Lovely bedrooms and staff can't be faulted but if your room overlooks the courtyard on a Friday beware of hen nights etc......they go on until the early hours of the morning and boy oh boy can they be noisy!
A. L.
Really great hotel! I've been staying for one night due to training, for which the hotel offers really great facilities.
Bedrooms are nice and spacious, meticulously clean and very nicely equipped. The hotel also offers food delivered straight to your room as well as breakfast in bed.
The food itself is fantastic and staff throughout the hotel are incredibly polite and helpful.
Overall very much recommended.
C. S.
Room 311 King Suite (with balcony).
Live locally and eaten in the hotel a few times at Christmas with family, special occasions, etc. Decided to try the accommodation on Valentine's Day (also my wife's birthday).
Room was spacious and looked recently decorated/refurbished. Seperate living room and bedroom with a large TV in both. And was well prepared.
Food in a busy restaurant was great, served promptly and the service was excellent. A reasonable menu, which would please most people.
Breakfast is the usual buffet type and while a wide selection was available, the cooked selection (on the hot plate), wasn't.. hot, but barely warm.
N. M.
Lovely place, used as a base over Christmas whilst visiting relatives in the area. Room clean, well appointed and most of all comfortable. Public spaces again clean and well appointed. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Minor criticisms, some of the corridor paintwork showing signs of wear and tear which is down to us the careless public and the towels which were plentiful smelt a wee bit as if they had been laundered and stored whilst still damp.
For such a large hotel, hot water in shower always hot and powerful which is always a bonus.
Can certainly recommend this hotel and we'll be back.
S. B.
Really enjoable stay, very comfortable and everyone was lovely!
Thanks
K. B.
A tried hotel. Breakfast is expensive for what you get with the covid restrictions in place.
Convenient for trains into Glasgow centre.
n. m.
Excellent hotel only let down by the height of the bed which can be an issue for the vertically challenged. Otherwise a great stay.
C. H.
Very nice place to stay much better than I was expecting
P. M.
Had a nice time, good leisure facilities and excellent waitress service.
M. B.
We visited the spa on a birthday treat for my beautiful girlfriend. The initial reception was not very welcoming. We were not given gowns nor slippers and although promised these later, they were not delivered. We only received these by collecting them from reception ourselves. We enjoyed the steam room and relaxation room especially the pods. The reception in the restaurant was very welcoming and we enjoyed our delicious afternoon tea and complimentary mocktails. The swimming area could do with more seating at busy times.
b. 0.
Stunning hotel. Really enjoyed my stay, the rooms were excellent and welcoming. The spa and health suite were great also. My wife had a massage which she thoroughly enjoyed while I went for a swim. My only gripe would be to do with the food, dinner in the main restaurant was okay and breakfast was fine but wanted the hot food fresher if honest. That being said the service from all in the resort was second to none and really made my stay.
D. H.
Hotel was very organised with full Covid restrictions in place. Staff very informative and helpful throughout our stay yesterday.
From arrival at reception to delivery of afternoon tea, service at dinner/breakfast time to our time at Spa today all staff were excellent. Thank you to each and everyone of you. xx
R. P.
Recently stayed here for a week whilst in the area for work. Was a bit unimpressed compared to other Hilton's I've stayed at. Convenient location is a plus but that's where it stops. Very limited parking at the hotel. Room was average at best, looked very tired and very dark even with lights all on. Breakfast was £10 extra but very basic. Dinner menu was really limited and very pricey. £25 for a tiny steak. £5 for a side salad that consisted of just a few lettuce leaves. Overall not impressed with my stay here
C. G.
As a family we often visit here to use the swimming pool which is always sparkling clean, warm and very welcoming. Changing rooms are well kept and immaculate. Disabled access is also great and there is a specific disabled shower area. The family swim times are perfect for those who want break from the kids so you will know you can relax without screaming kids. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly too especially Nadia. The gym is small but well equipped. It is never too busy and the staff again are very helpful with advice and encouragement. The restaurant is amazing too, I would highly recommend for a romantic meal out or a girls lunch. The standard of food is above and beyond what I expected and again the staff are attentive and well mannered. I have no experience of the golf course but I have heard in passing that it is one of the best courses in Scotland to play on
A. M.
Food brilliant, spa treatments, brilliant. Room very clean, but a bit tired.
C. C.
Clean and really friendly staff. We went me and me couple and we were 5 days, we really enjoyed.
The only thing that we missed up all those days was find a toilet brush.
And find more variety of food in the restaurant of the hotel.
J. D.
Food not uptown a 4 star and room could have been cleaner .mirrors I could have written my name
C. M.
Nice hotel, comfortable and clean but while their slogan says "We're happy you're here and we're ready for you", this couldn't be further from the truth. Not enough staff at check in means huge queues build up which others need to cut through. People are asked to queue at the bar with the dame result, social distancing is impossible. I booked a deal for Saturday first which included a bottle of wine in your room. New guidelines meant this would be given to you at your meal but staff then presented me th bill to pay for it. This was rectified but how often does it happen. Lastly breakfast service was a shambles. Organised chaos. Staff struggled to seat people. Breakfast was table service because of covid-19 but then you had to queue at one coffee machine which kept breaking down. Pots of tea/coffee served at tables would be a quicker and safer option. Breakfast took an hour from the order being taken to it being served. Customers were unable to check out by 11am deadline because of this. Kitchen staff asked servers to stop taking orders during breakfast because they were too busy. This hotel needs staff training and an understanding of government guidelines for their customers to feel safe

Myself and my sister stayed on Friday night we attended the Elvis tribute night with dinner etc. Our room was fab, newly refurbished, beautiful. Warm welcome from all staff. Dinner was lovely. Tribute act great, he went round the hall allowed people to take photos. Music in between the act was great a good range of different music. Overall fabulous evening. This was the first tribute and stay package we have done and we will definitely be back. I would highly recommend this hotel.
A. R.
Great wedding venue got married here myself

We had our funeral meal here for our friend's and family. They dealt with everything with so much kindness and the little touches were very much appreciated. The food was delicious and was laid out very nicely and the staff couldn't be friendlier. They even followed up with an email to make sure everything was OK and the personal kindness made all the difference.
They have really improved a lot since being taken over. We would definitely recommend them.
J. M.
Lovely dinner tonight hotel very busy
A. S.
Top notch, friendly staff and the place was so clean words can't explain
Highly recommended

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times although I had not been here for a couple of years until my recent visit. I have noticed a distinct deterioration in the condition of fixtures and fittings at the hotel since my last visit. The room I stayed in on this visit was quite compact compared to rooms I have been in on previous visits. Still a decent size and clean. Bed was very comfortable and black out curtains are excellent in assisting a good night's sleep. The service provided from all the staff I dealt with were very professional, friendly and helpfull. The quality of the food served in the main restaurant. Calves liver for me Was excellent, as good as I have had anywhere. The location is excellent with fantastic views over and around the golf course. Overall good value for the company rate paid, although I feel the hotel is due for a revamp.
S. W.
I visited for a small work conference so I can't comment on the rooms but I was impressed with the facilities I saw. The grounds are great and the reception area and staff were very welcoming. 20 or so of us enjoyed a really good and varied hot buffet that received plenty of compliments from the attendees. Staff quickly sorted out any minor issues and queries so would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely large ground floor room with a walk in shower. The spa area is very good we had our little granddaughter with us and she enjoyed the children’s pool very much. When we went to swim they had run out of towels but they were going to get some more and would bring them to us. After 3/4 hour my husband had to walk out of the pool area down the corridor (dripping wet) to access the reception he was told they would go and get towels and bring them to us. Another 15 mins and he went out again to reception and a few minutes later someone arrived with the towels. This needed to be addressed. The following day everything at the pool was tip top.
Both evenings we had dinner in the restaurant which we enjoyed, the food and service were very good. The staff overall were very polite and very helpful. One thing, in this time of promoting healthy eating why are the meals which are available for children only
FISH FINGERS & CHIPS - PIZZA & CHIPS - CHICKEN NUGGETS & CHIPS. Would it not be possible to offer a healthy option? I personally would rather pay for healthy meal option than free fast food fo a child. This aside we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

I travel to Cumbernauld on a regular basis and always stop at the Double Tree (or Westerwood as it used to be). The staff are always friendly, hotel is clean, rooms are very comfortable, breakfast is pretty good. My only reservation is that as a vegetarian the range of food isn't great. You end up repeating meals after a few days. The one bad thing is the pizza to be avoided at all costs. Other than that I plan to continue stopping there just wish there was more variety in the food.

Nice rooms, very helpful staff and great health spa.

Nice hotel with a gym. Big rooms with comfy double bed. Room service took 2hrs though as restaurant was very busy...monday night not sure why so busy food was lovely though. When i did eat in the restaurant the food was top notch and served very quickly. Was cold so wish id worn a jumper. Warm cookie on arrival.

Went here with a friend for a spa day including lunch, two treatments each and use of the facilities. I had a facial and back massage which were both amazing!!! My friend had a head massage and foot scrub which she also enjoyed. We had our treatments side by side in the same room which was fine by us but maybe not everyone would be comfortable with it. The pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were all great plus there are heated loungers around the pool if it want to just sit and chill. There's also a separate relaxation room with comfy chairs, loungers and blankets. It has soft lighting, a selection of herbal teas and is a quiet and comfy place to relax after treatment.
The view from the restaurant is lovely but the only thing stopping me giving 5 stars is the lunch we were given. It was a selection of tiny sandwiches and a couple of teeny tiny cakes. After spending the morning swimming we had built an appetite but the lunch really was disappointing. The restaurant serves cooked meals too but they were super expensive and the smell just made us more hungry. Next time I'd definitely take a packed lunch because what we were given wouldn't be enough for a small child.
It was a lovely place, great facilities and friendly staff. I would have liked a full sandwich instead of a few tiny bite sized morsels though.

Upon arrival the first thing that I was impressed with was how large the car park was. Plenty of spaces were available and car park was clean and tidy. Inside staff were on hand to assist with greeting and giving us a tour of the hotel. Food did not disappoint either. Interior decor fitted in with the style of the building and made it very comfortable and relaxing.

Amazing staff, great venue. Great customer service.

Great hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Wifi is fast and stable. Everything you would want in a hotel. Can't wait to go back.

A nice place to stay...
We stayed here over a few days recently as a stopping point between Glasgow and Kinguisse, now in our eyes nothing will beat there sister hotel the Queens Hotel in Leeds but this is a darn close shave.
While it is a bit remote and difficult to get to it was a pretty good place to stay, they are currently undergoing renovation and conversion to a new hotel therefore there is a little disruption.
I do have to say though the staff make this venue a great hotel, I could not find a single fault with a member of staff.
The reception staff are professional and efficient and keep you detained to the absolute minimum (I've just travelled 300 miles, I don't want small talk).
The maintenance crews were amazing they were polite and stopped and made way for guests and it was a genuine smile rather than the perfunctory ones you generally get, they were cleaning as they went and kept the noise to a minimum.
I was genuinely surprised when I woke up in the morning under my window they were delivering mattresses and the staff were whispering to each other to keep the noise down.
My only real complains were that I wish you would put fresh milk in he little fridge, I hate the little sachets... (sorry just a personal thing).
I was hoping you would remove the elephant that was moving around in the room above. (this was not the hotels fault just the flat footed elephant in the room above me).
The local taxi service is really good and I will be reviewing them separate.
My final comments go to the staff in the breakfast room, I cannot find a single fault in the service and professionalism that you showed throughout our stay in the hotel.
My partner is not comfortable in large groups of people so the (I assume the manager on duty) immediately opened a separate area for us to feel more comfortable, the poor young man I sent looking for the elusive bananas, didn't bat an eyelid and dutifully found them.
You guys are the stars of the hotel without a shadow of a doubt and I understand it must be testing times with the current transition and yet you soldiered on...
A credit to you.....
Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I fall in love with this hotel more and more every time I visit. The location, the decor and the staff are just phenomenal! We had our wedding here in January and the welcome we recived in February for valentines was superb, it just goes to show that for the staff it's a personal effort from them on your day and it's not about the recognition or money, as they were thrilled to see we had returned. If your looking for a home away from home, with a luxury Finnish this is the place you need to stay. It must be noted that the food is to die for and the beds are extremely comfortable.

Lovely experience. I was meeting a financial advisor and it's a lovely experience and the bar and food are great.

We came here 2 yrs ago for new years and food was lovely, staff very friendly and always willing to help, Hilton took over and we felt the food menu was Ltd compared to the year before.
We came away feeling dissapointed that we had spent the money we did.
But still gave to say the staff were brilliant.

This was my second stay and the service is amazing. Room was perfect size to fit travel cot for our baby..

Played the challenging Ballesteros designed golf then a good pint of real ale at the bar whilst watching Scotland draw with Dutch. All round good evening.

My children bought me a spa day for two with afternoon tea for my birthday. We managed to get booked for Monday we decided to make the most of the experience we would stay over. When we arrived at the hotel we went to reception and explained we had the spa and afternoon tea booked and the girl directed us to the spa. She then abruptly told us no rooms are ready until 3pm. The afternoon tea was lovely and the staff were lovely. My daughter treatment was first but we both done our consultation together. The girls on the reception at spa were lovely. We noticed that everyone except us had robes and slippers on but didn’t think to much about it. It’s was when we decided to use the pool and steam room we asked about them. We felt out slightly excluded during our spa experience especially when we were in the relaxation room in our outdoor clothing. We both enjoyed our treatment and the staff were lovely.
I explained to the front reception how uncomfortable we felt and she was helpful regarding this booked us dinner which was lovely and arranged a free drink to make up for it which was fair enough she was lovely .
I felt there was a lack of communication we should have been told at either reception we had to ask for robes. We also asked about the breakfast and reception told us it was £10 each we could book or turn up. We turned up and was told it was £15 each. I asked why it had went up from the night before and the girl checked came back to us and said it was £10 each. That was fine we had our breakfast which was just ok asked to pay and it had went back up to £15 each. I explained to the manager I wasn’t happy regarding the price changes and the breakfast situation should be explained to guests properly at check in.
I feel in this situation the customer service and communication very poor. I would not recommend this hotel and I will definitely not be back. The tree stars are for the second reception girl and the spa therapist.

Had a spa break here. We had a wonderful time
Food was great.
Room was so spacious and comfortable.
Everything you needed
Treatments were sooo good. NATALIE. Was so reassuring
Stuart gregg and Charlie made our dinner a pleasure.
Ryan on the lounge bar was very friendly and helpful. He is
A good representative for your hotel

A very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere can be found here with friendly staff on reception and throughout the hotel. With two restaurants, the choice of meals is wide and the views from the windows stretch far into the countryside. Facilities are good and easy to access. There is signage throughout the hotel to assist in direction, and the majority of rooms have a view over the Scottish hills. This place looks particularly good in snow.

First time staying at the hotel and loved it, we where at the kidney kids weekend and where made to feel very welcome, this was our first stay at a hotel since my son started using a wheelchair and the layout of the hotel was great we stayed in room 122 which has been adapted to suit guest in chairs.
Reception staff very polite throughout our stay and food was very good.
The onĺy thing I would recommend is the double doors leaving reception towards our room (just at the lift/disabled toilet) is a bit heavy to open and push a wheelchair maybe if they could be power assisted but that aside I couldn't fault the hotel.
R. M.
Nice hotel, clean and spacious. Good family room with 55" TV, coffee/ tea, iron and ironing board with big double bed and double sofa bed. Bathroom has a bath and shower with ample supply of towels and toiletries. Have a free to use swimming pools, ideal for kids and adults. Be mind of kids swimming times. Very helpful, pleasant and courteous staff. Good for family stay.

Great hotel. The rooms were spacious and well decorated. All the amenties you would expect such as a mini fridge, hair dryer, iron, bath robes etc. The food in the restaurant was very nice and worth the money. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and i would not hesitate in booking again.

At a conference last weekend and had a lovely time. Hotel staff were lovely and friendly (especially Stuart the night bat manager!!!). Great choice of breakfast and lunch and plenty of it. Rooms were clean and cosy with huge bed. Brilliant. Lovely grounds too. Thank you to all staff who made us welcome at the TIS conference. From Anne at Queens Cross Housing Association Glasgow.

Was expecting a bit more, so slightly disappointed.
The breakfast is alright, good choice and tastes nice.
We mainly wanted to enjoy the pool and spa though, which is quite a trek through the hotel, especially if your room is ending with number 40+.
There is a golf course here though, so it is probably more oriented towards businessmen.
N. O.
Had a fantastic spa day here. Erin was my therapist and she was brilliant, I had the back neck and shoulder massage and foot treatment and both were lovely and perfectly executed by Erin. She brought the calmness you expect during treatment and made me feel very relaxed. The relaxation room was lovely as well as the pool area. Definitely book another spa day here in the future.
s. j.
Went here today with my friend for spa day. Amazing from start to finish. Started off with two treatments each, went for back, neck and shoulder and facial. Omg honestly best massage ever, thanks so much Sharon. Amazing lady made me feel so relaxed. Then afternoon tea, was lovely also came with a Mock-tail. Then came relaxing time in swimming , sauna and jacuzzi. Overall a wonderful day for both x

We stayed at Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Westerwood Spa & Golf Resort during August this year. We booked a room for our family with sofa bed. Normally if there is a sofabed they do prepare this before we check-in. However on this occasion it wasn't and we have to ring reception. Straight away the house keeping came to prepare our extra bed. They have taken Covid precautionary measures and we felt safe to stay at Hilton.
T. P.
Excellent as a stopping point for Edinburgh or Glasgow with its close proximity to the motorway. The rooms were good, but just beginning to show signs of 'tiredness'. Food, drink, staff - all very good; as was the walk around the golf course (not playing!). The leisure facilities were also great. We enjoyed the opportunity to swim and relax.
D. R.
Nice wee spa stay with friend for birthday treat great value for money
L. M.
Good location for a seminar. I was in the Club Room for the event and it was very comfortable. Tea, coffee and biscuits were in a reception area prior to the event which was great. However, would have been better if some healthier snack options were available too. Had lunch upstairs afterwards of soup which was lovely. All staff were very nice and accommodating.
R. F.
Nice location, and the hotel has all the mod cons, swim, spa, golf. Good beer I particularly like the Schiallon beer on tap. The grounds are lovely so worth walking around on a nice day. Food is of a good standard and quality.
U. T.
It would be better if the pool area was kept clean
J. J.
Hotel was adequately equipped with good facilities. Few details missing - recently rebranded as DoubleTree and doesn't quite deliver on Hilton Honors benefits yet. Was a busy Bank Holiday weekend and the food and beverage aspect let it down slightly. Staff were pleasant and atmosphere was good and would stay again at a not so busy time.
J. C.
Good, comfortable hotel. Quite expensive,
J. F.
Very friendly staff but unfortunately the hotel really lack the modern era, rooms really outdated feeling old and dull, breakfast bags where okay but would be nice if you could order a full English breakfast to the room.
C. C.
I very much enjoyed my steam room but when I went for my salt and oil scrub I found out the showers had no hot water in them after the girl had switched it on and left the room to let me take a shower. It was about 7pm at this point but she said hadn't realised no hot water which I found strange later on when I spoke to someone who said had reported the water problem the night before. My friend who was in another room getting the same treatment said she had same problem. I had to have the stuff removed by hand but still had salt on my skin no matter how hard we tried to get it off without a shower. It would have been nice to be informed of the problem before commencing with that particular treatment. Because of all of this and the 15 minute delay in starting the half hour I planned on between my treatments and food for chilling out was wiped out so I asked for my dinner reservation to be pushed back from 8pm til later and they did by 15 minutes which barely gave me enough time to get dressed and over to the restauraunt. So no real chill out time which I really needed as felt a bit light headed after massage and again could not shower before dinner. So my advice to everyone is to check that they have not water when you arrive to stop any dissapointments as they won't tell you themselves.

We came for afternoon tea, a group of six, two octogenarians, a septuagenarian, and three quinquagenarians, with a range of ages we weren’t quite sure what to expect, well what a wonderful experience we had a guest arriving a little later than the rest this wasn’t a problem as we could wait till until they arrived before ordering, and we had different dietary requirements which were all dealt without a fuss or being a problem the staff on duty at the Grills restaurant really were wonderful and the afternoon tea was a delight.we may not all get the opportunity to return together again but I’m sure we will return. Thank You for making this afternoon tea a really special occasion.

Spacious, clean, relaxing, beautifully equipped with exqjisite bathing products and delicious, unhurried breakfast. Amazing. Great spa area. Loved the French and German TV options which was a bonus. Wish we could have arrived earlier a d stayed longer.
T. M.
The room was great. We got a warm friendly welcome from the staff on reception. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The staff were very helpful when I emailed a query to the hotel about its facilities. In my view the hotel was lovely but if you can eat out I would.
C. E.
Nice hotel. Visited for a night's stay and separately to use the leisure facilities. Staff really friendly and welcoming. Food was very tasty and breakfast buffet was excellent. Leisure facilities appear dated but well maintained. Nice atmosphere throughout the hotel!
S. C.
Very welcoming and comfortable everything you need
M. D.
Staff lovely. Not nice to be sitting in the resteraunt with people coming in in their robes and slippers. Also I like to swim but was only able to swim for a short time due to water aerobics class which didn't really bother be but perhaps should have been told when I phoned to book. Your water aerobics instructor needs to pay more attention to the people in her class and not look so disinterested! 😳

Arrived for a meeting at 9.30 am to find the car park full and all 5 disabled spaces in use, 2 by vehicles not displaying blue badges. We decided our only option was to park to the side of the curved drive to the main entrance and inform the receptionist as we had done in the past without problem. This time we were told by a receptionist with a very supercilious attitude that we would have to move the car to some backup car park. For 2 people with disabilities this was definitely a no no. So we ignored her, I helped my wife to her meeting and went back to the car to wait for a space. Once parked however, I found all the other staff to be very helpful and friendly,in fact it seemed that they couldn't do enough to help so it was a shame that one person should let the whole side down.
Btw, I went back to the reception later to let the receptionist know that 2 spaces were occupied by cars without badges and she looked down her nose at me and told me it was not her responsibility to police the car park. I was quite irritated by this attitude so waited in the lobby for a few minutes to see if it was just me but it became clear that she categorised the clients and some were gushed over while others were given a more curt treatment. Oh dear.
I would like to thank Westerwood for responding to the review, there are some who do not take the time to see what their clients have to say. I would like to add upon reflection that Disability Awareness training with regular refresher courses would go a long way to ensuring all staff are ready to help as much as possible. The real advantage of this is the attitude creeps into everything they do so it is not just the people with disabilities that are given a first class service but everybody is without thought. By the way, it is an excellent hotel with outstanding food and as I said, the other staff just could not do enough to help. I will be going back at some point!

Had a lovely day at the spa 2x treatments with the afternoon tea. Great team of people, happy to help at all times.Danielle was my beauty therapist for my treatments. She was very catering to my individual needs and I felt like and individual and not just a massage. The facial was very relaxing also, both with lovely products. Erin was my colleagues beauty therapist. It was a full body massage and she is already feeling the benefits.
Thank you to all the team who made us feel welcome and cared for all day.

We stayed here for 3 nights for the New year 3 nyt package. It's was fantastic, rooms were comfy as were the beds. All meals were of a high standard and included in the price for our stay, great selection to chose from. Every single member of staff were amazing so friendly, polite and professional. The New years ball ran with perfection and the 4 course meal was delicious and the mowtown band were brilliant. We have stayed a couple of times and always enjoyed it. Will defo be back well done guys!!

Had a fab time with family on Christmas day. Staff were lovely, very attentive. The children were well thought of, face painting, craft table, balloon making and a separate buffet for them. Also selection boxes given to the children on arrival as well as photo with santa. On the table was a toy for each child. Adult meals were excellent, served promptly.
An excellent day. There were seven adults and five children in our group, everyone had a fab time.
Thank you to the staff at The Westerwood.

Brilliant service, beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed the large pool, was very kid friendly as were the staff. Would recommend for a relaxing short break.
S. H.
Great place with beautiful views. Parking is free and plentiful. Staff were very helpful and friendly all round. Check in is at 3pm and check out at 11. You can request a slightly later time and as a goodwill gesture they may provide this complimentary and charge £10 per hour after. Rooms were nice but slightly plain for my liking considering the price it was great. Leisure and spa 5* pool was great and perfect temp. There is also a gym,Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna so you won't be disappointed. There is a bar and I think 2 restaurants in house. The breakfast was lovely really enjoyed the wide variety of food. Healthy and unhealthy options :) there is also an asda store close by and a Greggs if you feel peckish. I would recommend this hotel to anyone definitely 5* from me. Thank you

SPA DAY DEAL LUNCH & 2 TREATMENTS FOR 2 PEOPLE COSTING £99 - MOTHERS DAY GIFT
The reason for the 3 stars is because I didn't enjoy my treatments which was really disappointing! It was obvious that the girl was very inexperienced it was more like a practicing student. She put cold oil straight on my skin and far to much of it so it didn't rub in ( the kind of mistakes students do )and the pressure was too little or elbow over bone and it didn't flow sorry to sound harsh but it is true. I get that people need to start somewhere but to pay that amount for a treatment I can get at my local college for £5 for that kind of treatment is not fair to customers. That aside the lunch was nice loved the mocktails the hotel was nice from what I seen and all the staff were polite and helpful. This was our second spa deal the previous one was a women just out of college her massage was ok and the facial was nice. I guess they just use them to do all the deals so ask beforehand. We won't be going back unfortunately as I go for the treatments
M. M.
Grounds are beautiful. Food is great. Meeting facilities are always perfect for all sizes and IT is never an issue.
Womens bathroom facilities in ground level were not ideal as some locks not working or very stiff, not great if you have arthritis. Facilities were very clean just some lite maintenance required.
J. M.
Great hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Good food and plenty of it. Rooms warm, spacious, and very comfortable. This is our second visit. The pool, sauna, and gym were all superb. We will return again.
L. L.
I have had many massages over the years and this was the best ever! I just have to thank Danielle who gave me the treatments on the 26/09/2018 and I will definitely be requesting her the next time I go. Very relaxing and felt so comfortable with her - thank you.

The extended family thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Westwood Hotel to celebrate the Diamond Wedding Anniversary of my parents. The staff did not know how to ensure it was at the correct setting. The staff are friendly enough (especially reception) but the food really let the hotel down this trip.
J. W.
Great couple of night at this hotel. Staff were great, the rooms and the rest of the hotel were spotlessly clean and kids loved the pool. Will definitely be back
N. S.
Overnight stay with my wife as an early valentines. Room was lovely and clean, and bottle of prosecco was delivered quickly on arrival. Used the spa facilities, and dinner was really good. Enjoyed breakfast, so can't really fault it at all.
T. M.
My beautiful bride and i had the most beautiful day getting married at the westerwood hotel. Amazing value for money for such a high standard. Good job the day was saved by the lovely service and food at the afternoon tea. The breakfast was very good there was even Haggis on the menu plus a full Scottish breakfast.
T. M.
My main concern whenever I stay in a hotel is how quiet the bedrooms are going to be. The food, accommodation and service are all of the highest quality. Good breakfast buffet but long line waiting for food at the single buffet. I would …

Great hospitality
Amazing dinner and breakfast
Clean rooms and what a great location.
Golf course with a view plus deers to be seen
W. W.
Hotel rooms are average at best. Delivery drivers arrive at 6am, waking you up if you are in a room overlooking the car park. Showers leak, bathroom floors are rippled due to water leaks.
Breakfast is average at best. Evening meals are overpriced and average
V. M.
The hotel is lovely and has a great layout. The staff were in the main great, but a few small incidents took the shine off for us. Would definitely go back though! Also gorgeous backdrop and views. :)
G. R.
Nice hotel could do with an update especially the bathrooms. More staff in the restaurant and bar would also help with service as slow.
L. B.
Had a spa day there and the staff were lovely and treatments were great. The relaxation room was amazing but pool area needs a refresh. Had afternoon tea which was also nice and views were lovely. Definitely recommend. :)
M. P.
Good facilities for a hotel. Pool is small but adequate. Changing rooms are small but adequate. Staff are very friendly. On the 16th of jan after the snowfall, they were really slow at clearing the snow away from the car park. Was quite treacherous before 11am and almost got stuck. There was a tractor out attempting to improve things when we left. This meant that cars then parked on the hill leading to the hotel which in turn meant that the hill became a hazard.
A. M.
I have only ever used the spa and had treatments - most recently yesterday and I cannot fault my experience at all! The therapists in particular are fantastic and very professional. I felt completely relaxed after my treatments and would HIGHLY recommend
L. R.
We had a lovely afternoon at the spa . We had high tea which was fine not being a meat eater the choice a as poor on the sandwich front . We had two treatments each with were lovely and relaxing plus full use of the pool sauna steam room . We did this through Groupon. We had to pay 7pounds for the hire of slippers and gown which I thought was a wee bit steep . The staff were really friendly and helpfull .
C. P.
I am a member of the health club, which I try to use at least four times a week. The facilities are excellent & staff are always very friendly. The gym has been recently upgraded with new equipment. After my workout I try to use the pool which is heated, then relax in the sauna or steam room. The whole place has a nice relaxed atmosphere & I recommend anyone to try it out.

What about was our big Xmas night out spoiled by comments made by the DJ, we had paid a lot of money as a group on Saturday night, the venue looked lovely the band were good but under the guise of "banter" comments were made by the DJ towards us that were inappropriate and unnecessary. Not a good way to represent your business or encourage people to return. 3 stars are for the band and the food was good given the numbers being catered for.
T. M.
I could not recommend this hotel enough. Green fees for non members are,I think, quite reasonable at the current price of. Thanks so much to the staff and especially Danielle (I think that was the girl with the black hair and suit on name) for helping make my birthday so special.
T. M.
The open areas are very pleasant as is the situation of the restaurant / breakfast area. The quality of the meat and fish exceptional, and the chef provides an excellent choice of dishes, even catering for the fussy vegetarian. I would recommend this hotel for an affordable short stay.
T. M.
Have been here on several occasions and always had an enjoyable stay. I would recommend ***agement look at how Hilton do their breakfast. I don't play golf but the course looked very pretty covered in snow and because the Hotel is on a small hill it enjoys great views all around.

We came up for new year 3 night package for 2017-2018 at the Westerwood hotel.
We had a wonderful fantastic time everyone was very friendly and helpful.
From the front desk staff to the servers and cleaners and house keeping, also in the leisure and swimming pool.
We are planning to come back for the Hogmanay for next year.
Thank you to everyone working there we had an amazing stay.
I would highly recommend people to come here.
Friendly happy atmosphere wonderful place for any age group.
It was booked under my husbands name Carl Martin party of 6.

Lovely cup of coffee in the grill overlooking the golf course. Very friendly young lady in a suit took our order making us very welcome. Slightly tired decor and faded seats detracted from what could be a beautiful room.
P. B.
Very relaxing spa day, two 25 minute treatments which were very nice and I could've fallen asleep in the relaxation room. Afternoon tea was delicious. Will definitely have to return to this establishment soon.
T. H.
The best thing about The Westerwood is the amazing level of customer service. Can't fault any aspect.
C. Y.
Afternoon tea wasnt up to much. Very disapointed as had it fews months before and it was really good. Think because voucher offer was coming to an end. As for my treatments the therapist was amazing. Very good at her job and was attentive with me.
J. L.
Attended a wedding recently. The venue looked amazing, with great attention to detail. The meal was delicious and the staff were friendly, thoughtful, and approachable. I had a great day and would highly recommend this as a venue for events.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff were helpful and polite. Always had a smile. Very easy to find everything. Clean and spacious. Food was delicious.

We went for a spa day and afternoon tea, lovely Espa products and therapists were great. Facilities were good although quite busy, afternoon tea was good and overall we thought it was great value for money. Would recommend and return to this hotel for a spa day.
K. M. W.
More than 3 people walked past us, complete ignoring the gentleman already waiting before us, saying g I'll just be a moment.
10 or more minutes later we were told we couldn't sit in the eating area as yes they did have a lunch menu and there were empty tables we weren't visiting via Groupon voucher!!!
My friend and I were eventually seated in a corner where we could meet over lunch as planned.
We only stayed due to lack of nearby options 😔
V. L.
Went to see a show there. The hotel was lovely. The public places that we were in were all lovely and clean. Although you do get attacked by the hand dryer in the disabled toilets. Staff all very pleasant and helpful
T. M.
Booked a spa trip with some friends because we fancied a bit of pampering with the weather turning so horrific. Service wasn't great and the mains took a long time to come. To the contrary, the room was quite seventies and the shower cubicle had lots of mould around the doors.
T. M.
There was a fire escape which took you out to the car park easily enough, but you could not get back in that way. The staff were very helpful and this is where I asked about our evening meal. Needless to say, we have no plans to return to …
T. M.
Staff is very well behaved. All very clean. Not far from the centre. I got this on a group on deal and I would not pay that again for it so I'm glad I didn't pay full price. I'd certainly recommend the Westerwood Hotel to people organising events and for people looking for a short break.
P. M.
Hotel was excellent, very efficient service but a bit disappointed with the condition of the greens on the golf course
l. m.
Spa day offer was great value for money. Treatments were brilliant. Relaxation area was not relaxing though as too many people talking loudly and playing with phones. Pool area was a bit run down as well.
T. M.
Lovely hotel we come here to meet up with family. We ate out on the 2nd night and was much more enjoyable for a fraction of the price. The location of the hotel is very convenient for Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh. The Westerwood is great for a good night sleep.
A. H.
We got married 20 minutes away from the Westerwood. The hotel new why we and our guests were there and although the wedding wasn't held there they still went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. The food in both restaurants is great, the massages at the spa are brilliant (pricey but nice) and the rooms are very comfortable.
T. M.
We stayed at the Premier Inn last time we visited and it was very acceptable We thought that this hotel would be an 'upgrade. We got a really good deal so the value for money was excellent. The hotel is clean. Businesses rely on people skills and they are definitely going to the top.

Greate hotel with gym, sauna ,jacuzzi and swimming pool. but dose it deserve 4 star I don't think so .rooms always tidy but very dark. no much lights .breakfast very good .restaurant-looks posh but the food could be a bit better and if it's gets busy you will have wait for your foid an 1h .I prefer to go down to town and have a nice meal.to go to the gym you will have to go through the restaurant-not very nice ,when every one looking at you

Wedding chaos
Don't go at the weekend. We were unlucky enough to book a Saturday night when 2 weddings were taking place. Car park rammed (not helped by a sizeable area taken up by workmen's cabins), long queue to check-in, bar jam-packed, couldn't hear yourself think for the noise. Otherwise the hotel and restaurant were fine, but make sure you get a room at the far end of the long corridor away from any functions!
i.
Lovely hotel with full English breakfast including black pudding and haggis. Approximately 5 miles from Croy station if traveling by train. There is no taxi rank, so have number of taxi service available. Train stop was serviced by an attendant and a pay phone was available. Also can flag down a cab dropping someone off as we did.
Y. B.
Thank you, we had a lovely few days. The bedrooms are large, clean and well-appointed; the meals very good and always served on hot plates and the staff, cheerful, friendly and very obliging.
E. S.
I went for a spa day i had two treatments and used the spa facilities, both were amazing! I left feeling really relaxed. I also had an afternoon tea which was nice. I look forward to my next spa day.
R. W.
Attended as part of a gift to allow usage of the spa facilities and 2 treatments complete with afternoon tea. Would recommend. Very relaxing and afternoon tea was great too with a good selection of mini sandwiches, cakes and scones.
R. L.
Very welcoming, clean and tidy an all good round experience
P. S.
Comfy rooms and wonderful staff, sunset view from the golf course is amazing.
V. B.
Just back from an overnight at your hotel, we stayed in room 223, I think rooms are ait dated especially the furniture, the bathroom door handle was hanging off when we arrived in the room and eventually fell off in my husbands hand, the drinks at the bar where good and food was OK, staff where lovely, I can say I've been but wouldn't hurry back, thought it would have been alot better since its a hilton hotel.
F. C.
Wonderful afternoon spent being pampered. Had a wonderful massage then facial followed by afternoon tea. We then went for a swim, jacuzzi and sauna. The facilities were great and the staff excellent. Highly recommend a visit.
A. S.
Amazing hotel located in a very serene spot in Cumberland. Great customer service all around the facility and a cozy bar! Great food and at breakfast, you get spoilt with choices.
N. A.
Shame as I had high hopes for the hotel. Even though I was in a superior room it didn't feel superior. Chair in the corner of room with a white stain on it. Only got coffee and biscuits on first night in room even though I stayed two nights.. the food was good in the restaurant though
P. D.
Fantastic overnight. Meals very tasty and staff attentive
N. E.
Nice place but a bit pricey, comfy beds good food and a pleasant atmosphere
D. C.
Lovely place. Food is good. Sauna and swimming pool are very nice! Lots of kiddies in the pool in the day, but quiet and accomodating. Decent bar too.
B. A.
Great place for overnight stay before training courses. Have stayed many times before and allways find rooms clean and well maintained.
Not the widest variety of Dinner choice if you are here a lot. But allways served fresh and hot and i have allways enjoyed every meal. Great breakfast with plenty of choice to get you started in the mornings.
Staff throughout are allways cheery and helpfull .
A. M.
Been several times for spa day. Afternoon tea is always delicious and fresh. Have had Caroline on two separate occasions for treatments and she is a fantastic asset to your business.
A. B.
Massages were great 💕however afternoon tea was awful. Food was either soggy or stale. It was obviously set up on tile hours earlier.. so I would score massage 5 and food 2 . Also restaurant staff could do with retraing. Shouldn't have to ask for plates knifed etc.
A. F.
We found this hotel accidentally and were so glad that we did. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was super delicious and having SPA after our long drive was the cherry on the cake!
C. E.
A lovely hotel in an attractive setting. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
B. q.
I have visited this hotel and spa on several occasions now. The staff are extremely polite and helpful, the overnight rooms are clean and the decor is fairly modern. The spa treatments are to die for, and the food is quite simply fantastic. I highly recommend the Westerwood hotel and spa for a relaxing break and somewhere to be spolied.
k. t.
Great parking, was there for a conference so very busy but plenty of space. Facilities were , very clean and well lit. Plenty of space and seating within the rooms. Coffee and cakes excellent and lunch was pleasant. Staff very helpful and helpful.
K. W.
Much smaller and less manic room for this year's Christmas works do. Last year's was huge and crowded and intimidating so didnt enjoy it much. This year's do was just the right size. Good room, decent food (dry turkey though) and comfy seats in the bar. Spirits were a shade expensive but otherwise had a good night.
T. M.
Value for money it is fantastic could not fault the price paid. The hotel is well located between Glasgow, Sterling and Edinburgh. My suggestion is that the restaurant ***ager should go observe how it is done in Piccolo Mondo in Argyle street as they probably give the best service in Glasgow.
L. M.
Lovely staff, big luxurious room with bath and shower. Buffet breakfast and had a lovely meal. Used the spa and had a great massage and the spa staff were also really nice and helpful. Would definately return
G. W.
Lovely place ,staff are very nice and nothing to much for them ,very helpful x
M. M.
It was very good I like the swimming ❤️🐈🐈🐈
l. m.
Great hotel, super leisure area and friendly reception, restaurant and pool team. Guys at reception were very helpful during my stay. They genuinely do the extra mile, left my jacket in my room, they found it and promptly posted it to my home.
I. W.
Very nice hotel, nice rooms with a nice view and lovely staff. Not much I didn't like about it but I didn't try breakfast and I didn't have a great sleep (although that was not really down to anything about the hotel) so not quite 5 stars but I would recommend staying here.
G. S.
The rooms have no AC and the temperature is above what I would have considered comfortable apart from that it's a lovely hotel with a great Spa
N. M.
A first class spa hotel with golf course attached. Staff are extremely willing and helpful and management are knowledgeable and competent. Well worth its star rating. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable
R. K.
5* service from Elaine in the bar & manager Jo was fantastic!! Thanks to you both for a great day. Will be back soon!! Elaine went above & beyond for us & is fab at her job!!
J. A.
Attended a wedding and stayed overnight. Twin room slept 2 adults and 3 kids comfortably. Room was basic but aired or requirements. Breakfast was the highlight, extensive buffet catered for our fussy kids
L. B.
Had a fantastic stay for our joint 40th which was ruined on the first night at Airth Castle. Westerwood was relaxing, the room was beautifully decorated & spotless, staff were helpful & the spa facilities were just the ticket. We will definitely be back.
T. C. M. F.
Nice hotel, a little far out from Glasgow city centre in a quiet location. Parking is a bit odd with most of the parking down the bottom of their driveway and the enterance from the main road can be a little confusing as it comes up to a roundabout with no signs to point the right way but not really a big problem.... Diffinately recommend for those who like their hotels out of town....
J. M.
On a course there. Good meeting/training rooms. Nice room. Spa included for all stays...gym too I think. Food excellent. Staff all brilliant. Views good too.
d. c.
Spent 2 nights here recently as part of a golf trip.accommodation was very good, the staff excellent and the food superb. The course was challenging and enjoyable to play. Lovely spa too.
G. C.
Short visit for a business meeting over a coffee. Hotel is well located in an elevated position just off the M80 at Cumbernauld. Mid-morning when I was there yet the hotel seemed busy. We were served quickly and well looked after.
J. M.
Perfect spa break, a slightly different experience because of Covid restrictions thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless.
P. P.
Great golf course and lovely hotel. Staff also lovely couldn't do enough for you nothing was a problem devilty visit again
D. M.
I've stayed here quite a bit over the last few years, the location is handy for onward travel, and the staff are friendly. One thing I did notice this time is that the standard of cleanliness in my room was not great.
D. P.
Nice wee stay, got a free upgrade 👌, meal was lovely and service was good 👍
R. M.
The food and drink is hugely overpriced, and the food isn't that great. The mattresses are very old and hence much too soft - I woke up a huge number of times during the night and eventually got out of bed with a bad back and a bad neck. That said, it's a beautiful hotel in a beautiful place with friendly, helpful staff.
J. R.
End of lockdown...favourite for local meet up & coffee. Good coffee and staff always courteous and pleasant.
A. R.
5 stars....
Nice and clean...
A. M.
Tired in places could do with some re-fittings especially in bathroom & bedroom - Stained bed side lamp shades. Black marks on carpet. Hairs in Bath!!! Check in could be more informative such as if waiting for a room that the Spa has dressing gowns slippers to use, and they are not in your room. Worst cheese platter in my life - served in a pudding bowl 2 rubbery tasteless cheeses, No Nice choice of biscuits, but Jacobs crackers & Branston Pickle!! What's This About - Not Good!! Having to ask repeatedly for lots of things. Would Definitely Not Go Again.
P. S.
Lucy on reception was excellent and turned a negative (2 hr wait for room service!?) Into a positive, great service and a credit to the hotel. Would stay again, staff are fab.
D. R.
A great hotel with lovely facilities. Good golf course behind. Rooms are large and well laid out. Very plesent staff. Will be going again
G. H.
Had the same room for the last 3 visits, not quite a suite, but a nice big room. Good bath and shower, always clean, great breakfast. Quick room service, decent food, local staff !
d. m.
I stay here quite often, the staff are friendly and the facilities are pretty good, the pool area could do with a freshen up though.
E. C.
We went for afternoon tea. It was excellent and the waitress couldn't have been more helpful as one of our company doesn't take butter or mayonnaise so she got chef to make her really nice sandwiches all displayed on a lovely salad base
S. W.
We came for a spa day with treatments which were fantastic, Sarah was lovely and the relaxation room is magic. Afternoon tea and mocktails were great. Ashame the jacuzzi was not working.
R. D.
I've stayed here a few times now and enjoyed all. Pleasant hotel very modern and we'll kept. Staff have been great and the food is also great.
L. L.
Nice place to go for a coffee and warm choc cookies during this difficult time. Staff great and feels safe.
A. T.
Love the spa. Staff all lovely. Spa is so relaxing. Bar and grill staff are brilliant. Food amazing. Have used spa deals a few times and look forward to our next visit.
R. P.
Really good no brilliant staff. Courses was well kept. Nice well presented meals. Hope to be there again. Thanks for a lovely w/end
J. K.

D. G.
Great location for a short break away . Wounderful views of the suroumding area. Good clean and well looked after facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food available from the restaurant. Complementary parking and Wi-Fi available. Will definitely be returning
C. M.
Good gym and relaxation facilities, very helpful staff
J. G.
A realy great experience. We went to the Spa.Disapionted you have to pay 7 pound for robe and slippers. Last time we busted it was free. The place has a refurbished. This must be why you have to pay for robe and slippers.
C. A.
We just had the most Amazing 3nights. Elvis weekend. Your Staff were amazing. So polite. Helpful and went the extra mile for us all. Thank you
R. L.
Really enjoyed our short stay here. Its a definite for us in the future
K. M.
Amazing hotel. Spa is wonderful. Treatments are amazing. Afternoon tea is delicious. Buffet style breakfast is awesome. Main meals are beautiful
A. M.
Great value deal for a spa day. Facilities were clean and staff friendly. Treatments were great. Felt really professional and left feeling pampered.
J. “. M.
Afternoon tea was delicious, service excellent. Spa area, pool & treatments were first class. I will return soon for another fantastic day 😁👌🍩🍰🍵🍹
C. M.
Spa brilliant but service in restaurant very slow. Had to ask four people and wait 40 minutes for our Danish pastry and refreshment. We were on a Groupon type deal.
E. M.
our daughter Louise and future son in law are getting married, there 6th April ,beautiful venue,Fiona is just amazing nothing is too much, made us feel so at ease,. can't wait for the Big day .
G. L.
Was at a spa day at the hotel with afternoon tea, the treatments were amazing and came out so relaxed, amenities were great. The afternoon tea was delicious, can't wait to go back.
D. Y.
Golf course not as well kept as I would have expected for such a prestigious hotel chain. Greens are amazing, fairways not so good. I also felt that there are unnecessarily long routes to tees, and to greens. One of the holes has a small burn just in front of the green, and there is only one small bridge on the very far left hand side, there really should be one in the middle.
M. L.
Well laid out hotel within a good distance to all tourist attractions in the area. Very clean and all things in place for dealing with Covid-19
M. M.
Loved our stay staff friendly food amazing room spotless and plenty room very comfortable
L. P.
Fantastic weekend staff were amazing the spa team were amazing to would defo recommend 👌
J. C.
Not bad, orders taken from app, internet was useless so maybe a little bit annoying
Y. W.
My Daughter suprised me with a Spa Day here.Feel the pool needs a deep clean round the tiles & vents . Getting a bit tired looking , had to pay £7 for robes & slippers alway normally get them with deal . So a expensive we weren't expecting was still a nice day .
K. R.
A great place to stay and relaxed
F. O.
Serene peaceful environment. Wake up to smoking mountain backdrop, the calm and relaxing atmosphere is awesome. Don't book just one night...it will not be enough. Looking forward to coming over soon
A. K. J.
Located in Cumbernauld you will need a car to get about. There is a train station about 4-5 miles away (Croy) but no public transport passes the hotel so car or taxi needed. There is no passing public transport into Cumbernauld either. Golf course on site as well as a Health and Fitness offering. Spa treatments also on site. Large free car park with some electric car charging points. Free WIFI. Restaurant and function/s on site.
G. T.
Obviously not how it usually is due to Covid .
Was there for breakfast ,little disappointed in lack of choice but again probably covid
Service excellent as usuall
J.
Great hotel and surroundings, housekeeping staff where very friendly, reception could have been bit more welcoming.. slow check in
R. M.
Great day at the Westerwood Hotel . . Had 2 spa treatments , both were amazing . . Spent time in the pool , which was clean and warm . Ended a fantastic day with afternoon tea . .
D. P.
Come here quite often and keep on being a little disappointed each time. Nice hotel but food is always below my expectations. Golf course isn't the greatest either.
I. m.
Attended westerwood for a golf/social event, staff were excellent in all areas, enjoyed the course even though very wet and muddy underfoot in some areas,on a negative side felt walk from greens to next tee in some cases excessive but did not spoil the day. Would certainly return and recommend to friends.
P. M.
Nice rooms and nice hotel overall. The food and drink is a tad overpriced for what you get. The golf course is only £15 a round and well worth it.
R. V.
Hotel is beautiful but was at 80,s night with friends which was fantastic ,music great but food was very basic and disappointing, think on these kind of ocassions, food should be of a much higher standard.
S. D.
Went for dinner, service was ok.. but food was cold and expensive for what it was, not great value... under new management so guess will need some time to iron out the bugs..
L. M.
Great for a work meeting. The events staff are very attentive. However the mac and cheese is made with blue cheese and it does not specify this on the menu!
P. S.
Nice hotel for a meal. Did not stay overnight, but the food was excellent. My previous 4 stars was accidental, I had intended 5, sorry.
A. M.
Lovely hotel. I used the bar cafe area for a coffee meeting. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely bar area. Highly recommended.
J. B.
Absolutely stunning surroundings.. Wonderful spa day.. Amazing massage and manicure.. And delicious afternoon tea and mocktails.. Just what the doctor ordered..
J. S.
Lovely hotel, comfy room. But breakfast terrible, sat for 30mins waiting on 1/2 of breakfast to be brought out, which never appeared.
R. J.
Pleasently surprised here. Only thing that they need to improve on is the restaurant ambience. There's no harm in dimming spot lights and adding some candles to a table in the evening!
W. M.
Everything was lovely and clean, reception ladies very helpful. The spa was a bit disorganized but massages were fantastic.
C. C.
Great for a spa day so relaxing staff are so nice friendly and welcoming defo would be back also amazing treatments afternoon tea couldnt fault was lovely first spa day and the full day was lovely and relaxing
J. N.
Love this place staff very friendly only problem party nights on and waited 30 mins for drink every time so lost a good part off the evening with my friends because of the waiting only 2 bar staff to do party night plus us guest not happy
A. B.

a. w.
Staff very helpful made to feel very welcome on arrival, cleanliness was second to none, food was lovely and room was very cosy.highly recommend as prices are excellent for value
j.
Excellent helpful staff it would be a 5 🌟 if they had had shampoo in the showers in the spa and you didn't have to walk through the restaurant in your dressing gowns
T. S.
Great hotel. Just off busy road. Good food and opposite dobbies garden centre. Some rooms overlook carpark. Great leisure facilities with spa facilities. Couple of bars and restaurants.
S. D.

M. C.
Fantastic stay. Great pool. Lovely room. Thought the kids menus were overpriced but tasty
C. Y.
Afternoon tea wasnt up to much. Very disapointed as had it fews months before and it was really good. Think because voucher offer was coming to an end. As for my treatments the therapist was amazing. Very good at her job and was attentive with me.
s. w.
Excellent food and drink if not a wee bit pricey. Staff were pleasant. A great night out.
T. W.

My wife and i had a spa treatment with afternoon tea as part of our Christmas present from my step daughter and her husband.I had a back and shoulder massage plus a foot treatment. My wife had a foot treatment and her finger nails painted and polished. It was a very relaxing time and the girls could have not been nicer.Louise looked after me and Erin looked after my wife.Im diabetic and my skn gets very very dry.Felt on top of the world afterwords and would reccomend the spa treatments to anyone.Later we had afternoon tea which was very nice as part of the deal.So thank's to Louise and Erin for your great work.

A. R.
Food was really good and a good sized portion. Staff are attentive and are willing to help with a smile. Do recommend.
C. P.
Got a great overnight spa deal for a group booking. Dropped one star has we had to ask three times for wine to be delivered to our rooms
B. F.
Golf course has some nice holes but too far to walk from green to next tee. Take a buggy. There' s plenty of them. Greens good but fairways very wet and boggy.
L. M.
Went for a Spa day. Lovely experience. Elaine in the restaurant was particularly attentive, excellent service.
W. K.

J. H.

Lovely hotel, great staff. The golf restaurant was a shambles though.; really poor in the kitchen.

Bar and grill, ordered a ribeye steak medium to well done and the blood was oozing from it and was a terrible cut of meat.Breakfast was just as bad as the poached eggs were almost raw
