Reviews of Barry's London Central
i.
I love it!
I was a little bit worried before coming here because I have never done a workout like this before. BUT it was such a great experience!
The instructor named Jemma was sooo good! She explained everything before the course started. Sometimes I didn’t know what to do but she and everyone else was so nice and caring that I felt very comfortable. The course is very challenging but super fun.
Can‘t recommend enough!

My favourite Barry's, nice big red room and changing. Lovely staff, Anya's class is the best - she works you hard! But all excellent
K. F.
I mean: can’t give any Barry’s less than 5-stars 😏 but, fair warning if you’re in town and debating between London-Based studio locations: this one has a funky layout with lots of pillars and awkward floors spots…. The others are more standard :)
P. S.
The classes are usually treadmill and a floor workout. Social distancing isn't at place on the floors. People stand quite close to each other.
The showers are just very poor. Soho branch is way better IMO.

Out of the more than 20 Barry's studios across the US and world that I've been to, I can genuinely say the London workouts are some of the toughest/best! Only reason I wouldn't give this studio 5 stars is that the set up in the red room has a lot of columns which leads to obstructed views and not being able to see the trainer on the floor. Avoid floor 13 as it's in the most awakard of settings. Also, unlike in the US where you give your first name to check in, here you have to give your last!
H. R.
Great place, inclusive of your needs and requirements and lovely staff from front desk to the trainers
J. L.
I’ve never been to a Barry’s in London. Got off the train with a few hrs to kill before an appointment so thought I’d give it ago. Not like most places in London, all the staff were really friendly and made me feel at ease. The class was superb and I’ll defo call in again 😊
B. D.
Barry's bootcamp is the best workout I have ever tried. The trainers, the staff and the red room are all part of the experience, this place never disappoints!
N. C.
Great gym, super motivational trainers. 10/10

Best work out ever...incredibly addictive and energetic but avoid if you are a complete beginner. Instructors are incredibly motivating but they don't really come around to correct you (too many people and poor visibility due to red lights). But if you like to push yourself out of your comfort zone, this is the right place. Absolutely love it!

Two words: it works
Been coming here for years, it's demanding but the trainers make it invigorating and stimulating at the same time and that is hugely helpful in pushing you to your edge. Buzzy high energy atmosphere, top trainers and a variety of workouts. Full body or leg days my fave. Give it a go, but like with anything its about a progression to get the maximum benefits. For newcomers, you'll easily notice strength gains in a month of regular sessions 2-3 times a week.
A. A.
The formula is really engaging, with treadmill and strenght exercise brought together and with an high level of intensity. At the start, could be very intimidating - at least it was for me - however, the trainers are very good at making you feeling welcome and at helping you getting to the next level.

Amazing atmosphere, incredible trainers, friendly staff. No surprise been coming here since 2015. The best place to have fun and improve and enhance your fitness. Keep it up barrys xx ps feels very safe post Covid

I’ve been going for the past 2 months. Its hard work but fun. My best sessions are always with JayC. He plays the best music with his workouts! It feels like I am in a club dancing with sweat dripping off my body all the while I am having an amazing workout! Highly recommended!

The motto is definitely true! This is literally the best workout in the world! It’s superb and shout out to Beth that does the protein shakes, they are amazing! The whole place is high end and world class. From the Malin and Goetz products in the showers to the brilliant trainers I couldn’t ask for more. Am definitely hooked to this euphoric class. Get booked into the red room people!
K. E.
I love Barry's workouts! Just a shame they are so expensive, otherwise I'd go more often. They could also use some more showers in the London east site as there are often queues after morning sessions when people need to get to work
J. M.
Great workout, the trainer keeps everyone motivated and going, with frequent changes in the workout. But there is 40 people in the class, this makes it hard for them to watch everyone, more guidance on technique would be good.
The staff are good and friendly, with a nice warm welcome. I also love having Malin+Goetz products in the shower but there is often a queue straight after class and the changing rooms are small and poorly laid out.
But I find it much easier to work out here instead of going to the gym on my own as the atmosphere and the style of the workout pushes me to try harder.

BEST workout in London HANDS DOWN.
I tried the one in South Beach Miami, and the one in London, they're both unreal. Great service, and absolutely great workout. A bit pricy, but 100% worth it!!
J. P.
This is a killer workout - you will walk/crawl away feeling beaten up but totally accomplished and buzzing with energy after a shower. This would be five stars if they only had more showers - the women's changing room is VERY small with only four showers that you always have to queue for. Considering how much the classes are (which would be worth it, if not for the changing facilities) - I expect to be able to shower within at least 10 mins of finishing class. The staff are awesome - friendly, fun and inspiring and the re-fuel station do the best protein shakes I've ever had.
B. E. D.
I landed in London and was on a waiting list at 17:50 class and the ladies made it happen! Very professional!
J. R.
Perfect place for the perfect workout. The staff are all incredibly friendly and unlike other gyms in London I never once felt intimidated. The shakes were to die for. Pax the manager was a legend. (Fantastic biceps too) 🙌

One of my favourite Barry’s branches! With Anya and George being my favourite coaches - always pushing you to do this little bit further! Unfortunately they don’t do as many classes anymore but with good planning you can still get on it! Connor is also a great coach but he tends to work from the west branch. #lovebarrysfamily #wortheverypenny #everyminutecounts
T. C.
Brilliant workout, structured each day and targeting different body groups so no part of you is left inactive. Brilliant, friendly, helpful staff on call for anything you need and the trainers are world class. Addicted.
S. N.
Worth to attend the session one off session won't be good for person. At least take three classes then see the difference. Trainer was good and friendly towel provided
P. W.
It was the singular reason I survived living in London! The trainers were exceptional: learning your name, pushing you to your limits, and have an uncanny ability to come to you just as your about to give up to keep you going... A fantastic team of people who are incredibly welcoming no matter what your skill level, and always looking out for you. I relocated to San Francisco... and yes, I go to the Barry's there now, too!
K. M.
Brilliant work out!!! Post lockdown measures ensures all feel totally safe without losing the Barry's Bootcamp feel!
G. H.
It's the best workout in the world.
G. T.
First of all it's a Bootcamp, that means only one thing, it's full on training for almost one hour with stretching to finish. Yes it's tough but if you are serious about getting fitter and leaner this is the right place to come, excellent.
D. D.
Mostly hype, but still a tough workout.
Overcrowded and difficult to hear the trainer. Not really worth what you pay if you are doing it regularly but great for the odd session to mix things up.
M. S.
Fun, intense workout, but no personal attention in the large group (more than 20). Cramped, some treadmills malfunctioning, light mould in showers. Much overpriced for what it is.
A. F.
Always my go-to place when I’m visiting London! Amazing instructors, welcoming staff, sweaty workout, spotless amenities, and delicious post workout shakes!
R. G.
Amazing workout, great trainers and staff. Facilities are excellent and they have a great selection of protein drinks for after your workout
P. N. A.
Awesome workout. Super tough. But totally worth it. Would recommend the flexible packages. And the shakes are really good too!!
K. T. H. G.
I would describe it as a cookie cutter fitness class. One class fits all. Definitely beneficial but definitely better classes out there for a fraction of the price. Quite intense classes
M. M.
Fantastic bootcamp class. Very organised. Highly in demand so you need to remember to book. the Protein shakes are really good as well.
k. s.
Indeed the most energetic workout in London to burn calories like a wildfire.
H. M.
Such a good workout. Make sure you've done weights before and have good form because you may not get help with every exercise.
V. R.
Original branch of Barry’s. Classes are amazing! Ladies changing rooms are little small.
A. R.
Nice gym if you like the class style workouts. It is a bit pricey but it's clean and nice.
K. K.
My good god is this tough but so worth it
A. F.
The pain is worth it. Staff very friendly and shower facilities clean with ghd tools and malin goetz products.
R. S.
Win win win, amazing product, easy to use, not intimidating, sta at ff are super helpful and very accommodating and the work out is so good, especially Mondays 415 with nik!
A. L.
Love Barry's! Great, challenging workout, banging music and friendly atmosphere.
Y. X.
The first Barry’s in London. Went to that location again after 4 years. It is smaller and older than the West location, but Barry’s is Barry’s, equally good
E. Z.
Great workout! Good vibe, intense workout. Service is always good as well.
P. R.
Great energizing atmosphere. The workouts are extremely hard but worth it.
A. L.
Love the classes and challenging workouts. Friendly and demanding instructors. Great training space.
L. E.

Great workouts, great trainers, changing rooms are a little small though.
A. S.
