Great variety of equipment and classes, plus a sauna. Professional and helpful staff/trainers. Clean and organized. Reasonably priced for London, too. Love it! (And, in my opinion, the contract is pretty standard. If you don't want to commit to a contract, join elsewhere. If you want a friendly and spacious local gym, this is the one).

Fit This is a great little gym. The gym itself has everything you need in a good space and very helpful staff are there to help you navigate your way around the equipment. They also offer a fantastic amount of classes and I can say that the ones I have taken were instructed brilliantly and in a great space!

A great gym in the heart of Hackney that really is very good value for money with the equipment and classes that membership gives you access to. Opens at 6am which suits an early bird like me - and it's well laid out and spacious so it never really feels over crowded. Lots of shapes and sizes of people there getting fit, so not intimidating in any way. Staff are great - really friendly and helpful, and the HIIT and body pump classes are definitely worth doing if you want to work up a sweat!

Really friendly and welcoming gym! Was my first time properly joining a gym, and enjoyed the classes (boxfit and yoga), and the PT sessions. Equipment is good too. Initially found it hard as gymming is out of my comfort zone, but soon started to enjoy it as staff and other users were friendly and supportive! Thanks!

I had Shervon as my PT for a number of sessions, and I can’t recommend him enough! He listened to my training goals, and built a customised plan around that to hit those goals. During the sessions, he helped me to refine my form, ensuring I was working out safely & making the most of my workouts. He was also great in accommodating to my schedule in terms of timings. I would not hesitate in recommending him & the whole team at Fit This.

First thing's first - the staff at this gym are very kind, helpful and supportive (however experienced a gym goer you are). Secondly, all the main gym facilities which you could possibly need are there, working, and clean (there are cloths and sprays available for wipe downs before and after use). Thirdly, there are a range of classes to attend led by the aforementioned very brilliant staff which I am looking forward to trying out in due course. Fourthly, there are decent showers and saunas for post-work out. Fifth of all, and finally, it is situated in a great location right in the heart of Hackney and very close to London Fields. So far, I am very impressed and would recommend to anyone.

I only enjoyed the gym for a little while before having to suspend my use for medical reasons. But until then I really enjoyed the atmosphere there. The gym is bright and airy, there's a strict wipedown protocol and the staff are welcoming and friendly. Classes are challenging but doable for all skill levels. The personal training sessions that come with the membership are also very much appreciated. Unfortunately, I did not try the in house sauna included in the membership due to COVID-19, but I suspect it would be very nice after a sweaty session 😁 Would recommend.

Fantastic gym. Been going here for 5 yrs. Its like from home to home for me! Everyone is super friendly and you don't feel intimidated at all working out there. Its much more intimate than a large chain gym and the staff and PT's are fantastic!

As a total gym novice, I can’t recommend this place enough. They include 3 PT sessions when you sign up and create a personalised plan which for someone like me was invaluable as I hadn’t a clue what I was doing! My trainer Shervon was such a character, really made the experience a good one throughout! Just a really nice atmosphere, super clean and plenty of equipment without being too big either.

Me in a gym before Fit This was like watching an old sea lion flaying about on a rock! When I joined Fit This every single member of staff was supportive and approachable. I mentioned that maybe I should try a PT session and was luck enough to have Naomi. She is patient and supportive, she has provided me with a program that actually gives me the results I want. The gym itself is friendly, spotless and has a real sense of community. I like that and I think you’ll like it too if your new to exercise. The staff give off a real sense of family and inclusion. The members that I have met are all friendly as well. There’s no hogging of equipment, in fact the opposite. I would recommend this gym to anybody that wants to exercise in an inclusive environment, that wants to train in peace without being pestered or to anyone that wants to be part of a community. On a separate note, it’s also great that they have a sauna and sun beds (just saying) Thanks Fit This for all your support and guidance. You’re all now a part of my life.

Loved every minute I spent at this gym! I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the amazing gym staff, they work hard, are warm and friendly and are a credit to the gym. A special call out to Niell who has not only been my PT for three years but also is such a fab member of staff, always brining a warm energy to the gym singing and dancing brightens the chore of exercising and always brings a smile to many faces. Always great to have such a personality around the gym. Great place to exercise regardless if your new to exercise/the gym or an old time exercise lover. Give it a go, I’ll miss it.

Love love love this gym.. I have made many friends here, both staff and members. Has all the equipment anyone would need along with a functional area and an amazing studio with a wide range of classes and excellent trainers. Changing rooms have always been of excilent Hygiene and clean and tidy as goes for the rest of the gym. The experienced personal trainers are also exceptional and are always keen to help out with your training goals. I would 100% recommend fitthis to begin or restart you training journey.

I am sorry to leave this gym (only because of relocation) because I had nothing but a positive experience. Equipment is wide ranging and well spaced out, changing room etc all in good nick, and good amount of classes available. It's also good value for money given the options on offer and I enjoyed the view from the treadmills, so nice when you don't need to stare at mirrors all the time. All in all, I can recommend!

This the best Gym, It's local to me and easy to access, I attend HIT, Pump and Boxing classes here and they also have a sauna that's amazing for the skin and never crowded!! I absolutely love Anna's classes, she teaches HIT and Pump, an intense work out but so satisfying!

Fantastic gym in Hackney, super friendly staff, plenty of equipment for free weights as well as machines/cables and cardio. Four squat racks with plenty of long bars and disc weights, separate flat and incline benchpress units, and plenty of other adjustable benches in the dumbbell area, means you can usually find space for your workout. And the fact that it's a locally run independent gym is all the better. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a gym in Hackney when lockdown measures begin to ease.

I have been attending FitThis for about 8 years. The price is good. Excellent location for me,5 mins from home 2 min Jog. I take part in mostly classes which i love (HiiT). Definitely recommended also has a sauna which is a nice treat after a work out. Very clean changing facilities snd toilets.

Would've put 5 stars but I've seen how busy the gym has gotten since I first joined. They don't seem to have a limit on how many people they are signing up, sometimes I can't even do my workout properly as there are too many people - the gym is quite small, not like your standard pure gym etc etc so bare that in mind. Besides that, I do like this gym and enjoy going there, the staff are generally very friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming and non intimidating. If you want to have a personal trainer, I would recommend going with Shervon. Not only is he the best PT there, he is also the friendliest and most helpful staff member working there! Another thing to note, the female changing rooms are in need of refurbishment and a good deep clean. If any management read this, please get on that ASAP, it looks like you found the lockers at a car boot sale. 😁

The place looked nice with all the equipment we’d need for our workout routine. The staff were nice and showed us around. They offer us a discount for joining the gym on a monthly payment basis (which was nice), but the guy seemed desperate to close the deal. We asked if, instead of monthly payments we could pay upfront for 6 months with the same deal and he told us there is no deal for upfront payment. This is what made us not choose the gym and go for another local gym.

I've beened using Fit This gym for the last 4yrs . It is a middle gym with friendly staff who are always willing to help you.it has disability facility . The place have lots of equipment I think too much... But the staff are there to help you You have the opportunity to have a personal trainer (I have) who our reasonably price. And very friendly and do push you to what ever you want be it to lose weight get fit or just for fun. The only fault I personally feel that is missing is that its is a medium gym size so there no place for a swimming pool. It's the only thing missing. And a place to sit and have a cafe ..

Great gym with a really motivating atmosphere which is so important! I had my first free hour PT session with Simon which was so amazing and helpful! I've been training with them for a month and already noticed such a huge difference in my strength. I'm a vegetarian and I got some great tips from Simon on how I can up my protein intake without meat in my diet. Such good value, best gym I've joined in London and I've been training for years. Would recommend.

The light Space and equipment is great, and the changing rooms were lovely and clean. I especially loved Shevron the personal trainer who i’d highly recommend. He’s really knowledgeable about health and fitness. Just a really nice guy and the PT you need if you’re out of shape (like me) and need motivation. Gyms can be boring but he made the sessions enjoyable and fun :)

Its a good gym. But there's room for improvement. Most staff are friendly but one or two look like they are being held against their will at reception. A welcoming face makes a big difference! The lockers in the mens changing rooms need upgrading. A lot of them have dodgy locks. It would be great if you opened at 6am instead of 6.30 - that extra 30 mins in the morning makes a big difference to most people. Other than that its a positive experience and I would recommend this gym to friends.

Can’t really fault the gym. The staff are super friendly and the overall setup is nice and compact. The only thing missing are some decent training bikes that calculate power output. But otherwise I can’t complain .

Firstly, they offer £10 “Have lunch on us” to people who give a 5 star review. Won’t say any more on that. No surprise most reviews are 5 star. Bad practise if a business really wants genuine feedback if you ask me. Anyway here it goes: Wasn’t given a tour during my trial session. The lady just made a hand gesture & left me to it. She also demanded for my ID without an explanation as to why. After my trial session another lady talked me through price plans and didn’t give back my ID. Remembered when I was half way home. Very inconvenient. I’m not sure if you guys have a step by step procedure as to trial sessions but deffo wasn’t followed on this occasion. Maybe worth introducing a simple list to be ticked off to avoid staff not giving tours & forgetting to give ID back. After I explained all of this in a follow up email, there was no apology, just offered the usual membership which I did still sign up for considering it’s the closest gym to me & I was desperate to join one ASAP. Forgot my water bottle during one of my workouts, a hard plastic one worth £7. Came back the next day and sadly it wasn’t handed in would be surprised if another member took it tbh. Said that they don’t know what cleaners do with items if found either. The member of staff didn’t seem care anyway. Attended a spinning class and arrive 30 mins before to get a token as advised- assumed it was in the one room they have where they do classes. Waited for 40 mins, class started and it turned out to be Zumba. I then asked a member of staff and they said it was in a different room. Maybe if I was given a tour I would know that. Funny enough the person instructing the spinning class was the person who didn’t give me a tour during my my trial and asked “wasn’t I given a tour” hahahaha. How funny is that. Could deffo do with a abductor/adductor machine. Especially considering there’s only one cable/functional trainer that’s usually always in use by men doing there macho man work outs lol. A t bar would be great too. Asides from that it’s a decent gym.

Love this gym - been going there for years and it keeps getting better: fantastic staff, lovely chatty gym users from every corner of the globe, all the equipment you could ask for.. and now they even play great music from every genre (instead that generic 'gym-House' you find everywhere else) so I don't get upset when I forget my headphones. Real centre of the community: another great reason why I love Hackney so much.

THE GYM EQUIPMENT IS VERY GOOD AND WELL KEPT, THE SAUNA AND SHOWERS ARE IN PRESTIGE CONDITION, THE STAFF ARE BY FAR THE FRIENDLIEST GYM STAFF I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED NOT ONLY ARE THEY FRIENDLY THEY ARE ALSO VERY HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL ,THE ONLY BIT OF CRITICISM I CAN GIVE IS THE MEN'S LOCKERS SEEM EXTREMELY EASY TO BREAK INTO IT WOULD NOT TAKE A LOT OF TIME OR EFFORT TO BREAK INTO ONE (DON'T WORRY FIT THIS IT'S JUST SOMETHING THAT I NOTICED I AM A GOOD BOY I PROMISE) APART FROM THAT IT'S GENUINELY A GREAT PLACE TO WORK OUT !
