Reviews of Gymnasium Clapham

Beautiful facility. Great coaching. I’ve trained all over the world and this is without a doubt the classiest looking gym I’ve trained in.
Super clean showers in a CrossFit gym are completely unheard of.
Can not recommend these guys highly enough.

Great community in a great facilities. With coaches who have the ability to adjust and explain workouts for all abilities from first timers to competing athletes. Would highly recommend.

Gymnasium and crossfit have literally changed my life. I finally found something I love doing and always look forward to. The diversity of the classes and the possibility to also do your own thing in open gym makes it the perfect place to go to.
Since I started I've become much stronger, faster, fitter, leaner but also happier in my body!
The coaches there are incredibly knowledgeable, help you become better/stronger, but also care about your progression and make sure you exercise safely. They're also friendly and always genuinely make you feel welcome and part of the community which, let's be honest, is not something you find in your normal gym.
The community and social aspect are pretty awesome too, I've only joined 8 months ago but feel part of the family and have made some really good friends there.
If you want your face on a billboard at Clapham North, make cool friends, get fitter, stronger and happier, this is the place! :)

We absolutely loved Gymnasium! It is has been a challenge to find a gym/box that comes close to ours back home in Australia, but Gymnasium made us feel like home. The coaches were brilliant and the other members were so nice and welcoming.
The equipment is all in excellent condition and the facilities are top notch. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who is looking for a great gym or CrossFit box.

I joined Gymnasium after a friend recommended it to me and boy am I glad I did. Literally the best decision I’ve made for my health and fitness. Great value for money if you go regularly. The coaches are fantastic, I’ve learned so much in such a short space of time. The facilities are great too and it’s refreshing to be part of a gym that everyone looks after and the community spirit here is what breathes life into the place. I love it!

I joined Gymnasium 3 years ago and now I can never imagine training anywhere else. The facilities, community and coaching are the best I have ever come across. Not only do they help you set and reach goals you never believed you could achieve - you also have the most incredible time doing it. I started simply as an athlete looking to get fitter, and trained religiously in the mornings before work - the timetable has something to fit every schedule. Now I’m a Mum, and train during the day at the new parents classes. Gymnasium has the unique ability to offer something to everyone - if you’re good, it will challenge you to be better. And if, like me now, you’re finding your way back to fitness, the athletica programming will guide you and push you - allowing you to work hard, but at your own pace, with great coaching on hand. I challenge anyone to join in a class and not find themselves hooked.

Incredible gym with even better coaches and community! Gymnasium classes are a staple activity in my day and responsible for the immense improvements I've made in strength, fitness and lifestyle. Highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their strength and fitness, and/or newcomers to CrossFit such as myself. Go Gymnasium!

This post runs the serious risk of sounding all very gushy, however here it goes…
Joining Gymnasium has without a doubt been the best decision I have made since moving to London. Not being a Londoner myself, it can be very easy to feel lost among the hustle and bustle, particularly in the winter months when everyone naturally goes into hibernation and you begin to wonder whether your friends even exist outside their living rooms. I joined Gymnasium in October as the winter months rolled in, my running shorts got shoved to the bottom of my draw and my biked got locked up hiding from the pending rain – this is ordinarily the time for me when training becomes demotivating. However a friend of mine told me about Gymnasium and as I ummed and ahhed, she responded with “Come on, you’re coming with me and I’m not taking no for an answer!” and after that I went to my first Monday evening Athletica session with Big Red coaching with his bundles of contagious energy and I haven’t looked back since!
The consistent level of training from all the coaches enables you to constantly try new things and push yourself further than you thought possible - as one of the coaches said to me “where else do you get to learn new fun things as an adult?!” – the athletic skills are things I want to learn not things I have to learn for work or studies, which is entirely motivating in itself and a stark contrast to the winter training in a commercial gym I had become accustom to. Training aside, the truly special aspect of Gymnasium are the people; the coaches and everyone who trains there help to create a true sense of community that I haven’t experienced since leaving university and competitive team sport. I now walk down Clapham High Street and bump into several different groups of people I know who have become training partners, drinking buddies and genuine friends. Anyone on the fence about joining, just do it!!
