I came to SPC after lockdown was first lifted. Before lockdown I played rugby weekly and went to the gym and lifted weights. After 18 months of lockdown, not leaving the house and comfort eating, I was completely out of shape and had gained alot of weight.
The aim was to to shift the weight I gained in lockdown (over 10kgs) and get myself back into weightlifting, and prepare myself for a return to rugby.
After 3 months, the results speak for themselves, I am back at my pre-lockdown weight, having lost 10kgs, but I have less body fat than before lockdown, so a better body composition overall.
Additionally, my performance back at pre-season has been good, and even just in my day-to-day movements, I feel in much better shape and dynamic.
Overall, if you are looking for good results, and good information about what you are doing and why you are doing it, SPC will deliver, and the last 3 months have been more than a worthwhile investment, in both time and money. Plus it's a good environment, and encouraging, and been quite fun to train in a different way.

Nizaniel is extremely knowledgeable and pushes you in a way that is safe, but definitely pays off! I’m doing exercises I would have avoided at the gym and my strength continues to increase.

I decided to give Greenwich Strongman Performance a go when I wanted to lose weight for my wedding earlier this year. I had a 9 month old baby and was struggling to get back to a shape and fitness level that I was happy with. In 3 months I lost 10kg and dropped 12% in body fat. I got so many positive comments from people, and most importantly I absolutely loved feeling strong and fit again. Nizaniel is absolutely great, he really knows what he is talking about, and will push you out of your comfort zone, which is needed! I had never really done strength and conditioning type of training before, but I absolutely loved it, and I now have the confidence to use some of the heavy weights in the gym rather than just sticking to cardio which is what I always used to do. I would highly recommend SPC to anyone, a great little studio space, and a wonderful trainer. This is an investment that everyone should make in themselves!!

Nizaniel is extremely good at ensuring your training plan is matched to your objectives, and sessions are focused and effective. He also adopts a holistic approach that goes beyond the sessions, with extra training, personal diet plans, and other lifestyle recommendations made to help you reach your goals. I have been going to Strongman with my partner for around 4 months.
Through Nizaniel's excellent coaching I have reduced body fat from 30% to 18%. As well as this my muscle quality has dramatically improved.
Having never been to a gym much before, Nizaniel has taken me from novice level to being proficient at many exercises such as back squats and dead lifts. Dietary information and nutritional advice is also provided.
I would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting to get in shape and feel good!

We’ve been training with Strongman since April 2019 and it’s been life changing. Nizaniel is very professional and clearly extremely knowledgable.
During initial sessions, he completed an in-depth assessment of body type/fat content/strengths/weaknesses. He then tailors training sessions to each individual taking into account any previous injuries or issues. He also provides a nutritional plan which was especially useful when starting out.
We’ve seen great results and I feel fitter, stronger and healthier. He also provides great flexibility around sessions which makes a huge difference when working unpredictable hours. Would highly recommend and wouldn’t waste my money elsewhere!

I've been training with SPC twice a week for about 6 months now.
When I first walked in the door we did an assessment which highlighted areas of weakness (in my case - lots) and they built a training plan around that. To give an example of progress - at the beginning my muscle imbalances and lack of flexibility meant that I could barely do a full bodyweight squat - 6 months later I just did my first 100kg deadlift.
The nutrition plan has been spot on and the results of sticking to it have been great - since starting, my body fat has dropped from 34% to 21% and weight from 75kg to 69kg. I'm fitter, more alert and all round healthier.
If you're looking to reboot your lifestyle this is the place to come but it's a style of training that needs commitment.

I went to SPC to reduce my abdominal flab and get stronger. In a very thorough assessment they also looked at my frozen shoulder. This had been troubling me for some time and my physio and doctor recommended an injection. I wasn't keen on this and so hadn't had this done. SPC instead focused exercises to free up my shoulder and after just a few weeks I now have full movement and no pain. Fantastic and it saved me about £500 for the injection!
SPC also gave me excellent nutritional advice which along with the great exercise routines has caused my body fat to drop. So successful has it been that I have lost a stone in two months and two inches off my waist without ever feeling hungry!
I started as a complete beginner but with SPC’s supportive nature, good humour and excellent coaching I can see the progression on a weekly basis. My body feels and is stronger.
I would recommend SPC to everybody.

Fitness Objective: Improve cycling performance and reduce body fat
I am a keen amateur road cyclist and have been training inside and outside of the gym for many years. In December 2014, although an experienced gymgoer, I decided to get a personal trainer in order to get some cycling specific resistance training into my weekly regime. In the 14 months I've been training with Nizaniel I have seen my Functional Threshold Power (FTP, i.e. maximum power sustainable for 1 hour, the yardstick of cycling performance in both amateur and pro ranks) increase from 245 watts to 291 watts, an improvement of nearly 20% which in the real world is huge. Also, my weight and body fat percentage dropped from 77kg to 71kg and 14% to 8% respectively, which in addition to the increase in absolute power meant power to weight ratio improvement from 3.2 watts/kg to 4.1 watts/kg yielding an enormous improvement in climbing speed and taking my overall abilities from club rider to seriously competitive racer. All this whilst actually reducing my weekly volume of cycling from 9 hours to around 7.5 hours.
The reality of these gains is that I am now in different league of cycling performance, and have had to find new riding buddies that can keep up!
If you want to work hard and have goals to achieve then SPC is the best I have worked with, if you just want someone to chat to whilst you walk on the running machine or do sit ups…you are probably best going elsewhere!
SPC have a serious desire to make you achieve your goals backed by in depth sports science expertise that set them apart.
I am thrilled with the improvements and have completely bought into SPC's training techniques which have been tailored to my specific goals (rather than generic exercises that I've been given by other personal trainers).
