The changing rooms are clean and spacious, there's pools and saunas and plenty of equipment in the gym but the parking wasn't great. If you go when it's busy you may struggle to park but there is an underground car park as well as the one at surface level. There's not kuchen floor space in the gym for stretching, freestyle work outs, yoga etc. But I got on all the machines I wanted when I went.

I've been a member of this gym since 2016. I love the spin classes and the spin room. The spin class teachers are ace! I've taken advantage of the PT offer just before the pandemic which was really worth it to learn how to use the equipment and use your posture correctly. The facilities are brilliant in the gym. I love the sauna in the female changing rooms. I agree that the plunge pool has been broke for over 2 years and it's really needed after the sauna/steam room use. The place is really clean and the staff are so helpful and friendly. Food and smoothies are good. I don't think it's as family friendly since the revamp. I really liked using the ground floor area whilst my daughter hung out and it doesn't seem to be a family area anymore? Having said that, some class instructors have allowed my daughter to sit at the side whilst I work out. I think overall the gym could be more inclusive for families, parents who struggle for child care and want to work out. The revamp is nice but the new large equipment where the running machines and cross trainers are is just too hot! There's not enough ventilation in the whole gym really and it gets hot quick.

Honestly the best gym I have been at . Been here for around a year now . Very clean and hygienic. Very well respectful staff . I love Amanda , chatty , outgoing , and really does put a smile on my face . Great positive environment and great EQUIPMENT!!! Water sports area is always clean (swimming pool , jacuzzi, steam room , sauna ) .

I have been a member for 5 months and I have just cancelled giving a months notice. I am a young professional without kids doing mainly weightlifting workouts, just to give a bit of a background. Here are the reasons for ending my membership: - not nearly enough enough benches - kids using the weightlifting equipment (not only the occupy it but it’s also dangerous) - extremely hot in the free weights area - zero ventilation - only 1 or two pairs max of dumbbells, they are also always misplaced - only 1 set of cables working properly - the other one is old and rusty and I’ve cut myself on it twice - working hours are short - closing at 9pm on weekdays and 7pm on weekends - the staff kicks you out from the pool areas 30min before closing time. How am I supposed to get a workout and use the pool/sauna facilities when I have work till 6pm like most people. If I cant get to use the sauna and pool why would I be paying over £60 per month? - for me personally it’s too “family friendly”. Changing rooms are full of kids and all benches are taken from mums that have spread their bags everywhere. People without kids also pay to use these facilities. Overall I don’t recommend this gym for young professionals. However I think it’s probably great if you have kids.

I did my dancing course here a lovely fitness centre the staff are really polite and I loved to see mums having a good workout where their babies was getting plenty of exercising crawling around a brilliant idea. Unfortunately I didn't have time to use the facilities as the Lifetime training company gave us an intense course so there wasnt anytime to do anything else. I would of loved to of tried out the Jacuzzi and the gym is huge. If I lived close enough I would of took up membership at this fitness centre.

Staff are nice, place is clean and it’s a nice experience overall. The reason for only 3 stars is due to numerous requests to have the hair dryers in the men’s dressing room repaired and it’s been almost 4 months and nothing has happened…

Really impressed. Nice, clean, friendly. Enter car Reg # on easy touchscreen on arrival in reception via metal stair case at front/also accessible via car park ramp. Found no issues. Same high standard as in Total Fitness gyms I've recently visited..Showers, hair dryers and spin dryer and lights all working with some current Covid restrictions and guidelines clearly marked..inc frequent hand gel and paper roll available locally around the premises. Pool, steam and sauna and Spa area also clean and impressive as usual and Staff very helpful and pleasant.

Deserves a full five stars. Totally forgot my time while using the swimming pool. Hundreds of new machines. Respectful staff and everything included by just one membership. Absolutely recommended.

Great gym with some really top facilities. I've knocked off one star though as some of the equipment doesn't work sometimes and there are times when you turn up and something has been marked out of order. They're having a renovation soon though so hopefully this will improve things and I can add the extra star back on.

I went and tried this with a view to signing up. After going in have to say not impressed. The place has gone down hill a bit since the Web images where taken, paint is peeling off walls in some places. Now don't get me wrong it's not all bad there were workmen working on things so it's not abandoned. Staff were friendly ish didn't go out of their way to help or anything but where friendly enough. Overall this seems like a big box gym more for those who know what they are doing not a newbie. The pool area seemed like it could do with a clean and parts of it were cordoned off... for now will not be signing up maybe go back on a few months see of the works have helped or the staff get friendlier

I joined recently rang up the gym to ask if someone could show me around, Jake booked me in for a 'booster' session with Kyle. It was fantastic They gave me a 4 week plan, showed me how to use all the machines, helped me set realistic goals. I feel more motivated than ever. In 4 weeks time I'll have another session to see where I'm at and change up my workouts. It is my first time ever in a gym and I feel really comfortable. The hydro pool is fantastic aswell!

Top gym, staff always happy and checking on you. Even the sales people say hi after, checking all is okay still. Signed up my 10 year old daughter, she loves it there too and we have a laugh while getting in shape.

Good selection of free weights and various benches, free weight machines and pulley machines. Lots of aerobic machines, like bikes and cross trainers, a couple of pools, mixed sauna's and steam room with cold plunge pool and showers, there's also a large hydro therapy pool to relax in. There's popular classes free to members and a cafe that sells all the normal stuff and sports drinks.

Wow, an actually decent Total Fitness that isn't rammed or full of knobheads (when I went, at least). Baby swim classes are great but the men's family changing booths could do with one of them pouches you put your baby in when getting ready.

Good to get back to the gym But no saunas and steam rooms which I totally understand I have found that when the kids are having lessons there are a lot of parents in the area from the Male changing room to the hydrotherapy pool ,so I walked round the main pool to get to it which was not protocol. I think the area should be free of parents if possible

Excellent facilities and an improved changing room after the refurb works have been completed. Been a member since a few years and the extra classes to join in as part of the membership are an excellent add on to try as a change. Very friendly and helpful staff. Personal training sessions available at a cost. Good swimming facility. I was able to join my kids as well as there is a section of equipment for kids along with the exercise classes for kids kept them wanting to go to the gym everyday. Also this enabled me to leave the kids in the class whilst I would do my routine exercise. Classes for the kids are at no extra cost! A brilliant gym in the Whitefield area!

Yes this gym is pricier than most in the area, but you are paying for the facilities. The saunas, steam room, pool and squash courts are all a great touch. The gym itself has new equipment and isn't overly busy - you may have to wait to use a treadmill, or the bench press, during peak times. The staff are always friendly, and the location is very convenient in the centre of Whitefield.

A good gym with plenty of facilities for all the family. My little one loves the karate class (which is included with membership). Also a great place to take the little ones swimming. The membership is a little pricey when compared to other local gyms but it has a lot more to offer such as the pool and family workout zone, which justifies the price.

I have been a member for 3 years. I have read previous reviews regarding the hydro pool. I have known this pool to be closed 3 times when I have visited.Once for a refurb and the other two times unsure. I swim 5/6 times a week. i must be lucky I guess.I didn’t like the new rule of allowing people to swim without a cap but the staff assured me that the filtration system was upgraded. but I still wear ear plugs, to stop swimmers ear, and a cap.The women’s changing room is cleaned regularly however the women’s sauna should be cleaned more often, during the day. I tend to go to the gym at the quieter times ie early morning or late evening. Never had any issues with gym equipment not working. Members are allowed a certain amount of free passes per year, for friends and family if they book 24 hours in advance. I haven’t been into any classes but the feed back is very good. I do feel however that the staff should mingle more in the gym area and be at hand to help and advise. Or is that me having too higher expectations? But the free WiFi is great, especially while in the gym listening to my audio books.lol.

Generally good recent bad points, hydro pool rarely up to temperature pool and changing rooms have only been warm once in the last three weeks !!! Good enough for me to Renew my membership.but at the price will take a hard look round next renewal never got sent the two complimentary tickets promised in the renewal letter

Gym, swimming pool, adult classes, kids classes every thing is here. Wheelchair access, parking, a cafe is there. A lot of families come to this gym, local schools have regular visits. Very friendly environment.
