I love the gym here. Very nice staff and the pool is lovely. There is a sauna and steam room to use. They were broken at one point but now it has been fixed so there hasn't been any problems. The changing rooms are spacious and feel clean. The cafe is nice but sometimes it closes early which is a bit annoying for me but not the worst thing in the world. The gym looks good but I don't use it so couldn't say for sure. Accessible Accessible for disabled for the pool.

Getting back into swimming this facility has a lovely pool, no deep end but a good depth for end to end lane swim. Two lanes in operation and a larger area for families and youngsters to enjoy the water . Sauna and steam room at the end of the pool,good locker room facilities. We'll staffed and has cafe facilities. Not a gym user myself but has a large gym upstairs from the pool. Would recommend this to anyone

Great gym , pool is nice and clean/ pool lanes but since the fast slow swim lanes have been removed it’s becoming hard to do swim sets . Steam rooms great when it works, lockers are like a lottery as most of them don’t work.

Nothing special in that gym, nothing out of the ordinary, just an ok gym...shower facilities could be improved in my opinion. Loads of members who either don't know what they are doing or teenagers occupying equipment just to take thousands of selfies or whatever they are doing there. Free parking for members is a plus.

Fantastic gym! I love everything about it. It feels bright and airy throughout. The staff is lovely and very helpful. They have a good size swimming pool, a sauna and steam room. I love the smaller details like the free 10 seconds swimwear dryer, the storage cupboards by the pool for our towel and shampoo, the large lockers, the nice smelling shower gel dispenser, the warm water... It's a fair contract as well as it is monthly unlike competition that ties us for a year. The equipment in the gym is very modern as well.

Not bad at all. Uber busy in evenings and lacks of jacuzzi. Very pricey as well, 55 quid a month-like damn, even London gets cheaper gyms. Nice facilities tho. 4 stars for price and lack of jacuzzi

Very busy Place. Its ok. Some good deals to trial it there. Sauna has been out of action for around 2 weeks, Its just ok if you like that sort of thing, pool is fairly warm which is good, huge gym but full every time i have been.

Have been a member since september 2021, was a good reliable gym with lots of space and availability. However, since the new year, standards have dropped massively... At all times at least one cable is always broken, at the moment there are 2 broken cables that have been broken for over a month - these cables are meant to break and can be fixed very easily - this causes further congestion as there is lack of equipment able to be used. The hours of 5-8 are incredibly busy and it is impossible to have a good intense workout. The gym should be a place for work not large socialization of young idiots. Im 16 years old and im all for working out with friends but when 5/6/7 kids hog a bench it really disrupts the fluency of the session. The fact this gym is convenient is the only reason im still a member, will be looking for a private gym soon. Would not recommend if you like undisrupted, intense training. Oh yeah, the sauna is always broken too and full of little children...

When I went to the Zumba class yesterday, the air conditioning was too cold 🥶 and it was quite cold, both inside and outside the gym. --> I mean that we don't need the air conditioning so cold, because it's already cold outside on the street.❄️ After an intense Zumba class and sweating a lot, I caught a cold. In fact, I will not be able to attend my classes this week because I even have a slight fever 🤒 and a bad sore throat. 🤧🥴 With this review I would like to let you know that the air conditioning is quite cold and because of you, I will not be able to go to my classes and I have to cancel everything. Pretty disappointed... ☹️

Apart from a few ongoing issues with the temperature in the pool and sauna/steam rooms the staff are welcoming and friendly and the gym equipment it's brilliant with plenty of choice depending on your workout! The classes they put on are also worth a visit!

Very good gym facilities. Full range of equipment and machines for all users from novice to expert. Also a range of studio classes delivered by qualified staff. Full introductions given to novice users and also personal trainers available. And don't forget the Swimming pool sauna and steam room!

Nice gym and swimming pool, good covid cleaning areas , quite a lot for your money if you go most days of the week. Loss of 2 stars due to one older female receptionist being very abrupt and rude (brunette) . I've spoken with her a few times now and each time has been difficult to get a straight answer without a line of questioning and weird looks. It makes the experience very uncomfortable.

I can't knock the facilities, they're clean and well looked after. I do however feel it's a bit pricey for what you get. There's also a lot of ego walking around. Individuals who treat the sauna and steam room as if it's their personal area with no thought to anyone else.

Best mainstream gym in Peterborough, even when compared to the private sector! Will cater for all members requirements from ‘new-year-resolution’ members to dedicated athletes. There’s so many machines here you could say they are the Terminators of gyms. I’ll definitely ‘be back’!

I've been going here since it opened and I'm afraid it has slipped in quality. I come 5 days a week and the things I would like to see addressed include: The music system, it's not on in the weight area and the same songs get played all the time. Often the atmosphere is so dreary. The water fountains- there are 2 in the gym the one in the weight area has never worked properly and the other is out of order, congrats. The showers- one side works differently to the other, take a look. Also some lockers do not work. Staff upstairs- nice guys like genuinely not a problem, but could they be used more effectively. I wont go into details. The weight area - my favourite, the weight holders are bent so the plates fall off. The free weight back row machine weight holders face the floor, again the weights fall off. The weight area is too small really and far too over crowded. Move the treadmills downstairs and put the benches in their place. Again reiterating the speakers need to be on, louder than other areas in my view, very few have headphones because it's a sociable area also. 60kg dumbbells maybe ? Another deadlift rack? A working water fountain? Music? Plus sides the new paint job looks nice and the extension of the mirrors is a lovely thought. The red clips aren't so bad either :) I hope things do improve

Absolutely wonderful fitness centre! Staff is friendly and helpful! All the equipment is up-to-date and working well. The swimming pool and sauna are clean and well maintained. The price is quite good for everything you get there. Free classes could be better but you get them free! So that's brilliant.

Very nice fitness center but lacks toddlers changing rooms. If you are a Dad and taking your daughter to swimming lessons, you need to use male room, which is not good at all. Other than that, nice place.

I've recently joined and can't fault the place! Nice changing room and showers. The gym is clean, cool and well maintained. The staff have been very helpful in setting me up on machines by means of two inductions. The first to assess my current weight and stats as well as setting my up with some cardio machines. The second visit was sorting me out on various weight machines. They also have a cafe and various treatments at very cheap prices.

One of the cleanest changing rooms in Peterborough. Pricey though as compared to other Vivacity centres (which fits the premier tag). Pool is clean and much less populated, but not quite deep enough for a satisfying swim.

I come here to use the gym, so that's what my review is based on. I've tried using the swimming pool but it is way too shallow for me (I'm 6'2) and made it kind of awkward. The gym equipment is good - I have no doubts you will find what you need and even during the busiest times there's always at least one machine available. My issue with this place however is the lack of proper ventilation - sometimes you go in and the air just feels so much heavier, and at times the temperatures can be way too high to get a good workout. Sometimes the music can be incredibly loud and overpower your own earphones - this seems to be determined by whichever staff member is in control at the time. So far this hasn't stopped me though. There's water fountains, paper towel dispensers and shops with protein shakes, food and more.

Modern leisure centre. All the gym equipment is new and there is plenty of it. The swimming pool is really good however a little shallow for my liking. I do like that there are 2 lanes reserved solely for lane swimming. As it is a relatively new gym gets very busy at the peak times however this is to be expected.

Really good selection of equipment for an all round user. Can be very busy at peek times but what gym isn't. The premier membership gives you access to 5 other sites, good for squash at bushfield and lido in the summer with the kids.

Pros - Good range of cardio equipment and classes Good Steam Room Friendly Gym staff Nice changing areas and powerful showers(on one side) Good Location Good Amenities (cafe, treatment rooms) Cons - Reception staff lack any customer services skills whatsover Equipment isn't maintained very well including water fountains Equipment is poor quality for the price Selection of free weights is minimum Sauna is only ever luke-warm Once again. The reception staff are just awful. I have never had a particularly bad experience personally but I've stood in front of them while they have been on the phone or talking to other customers, and been genuinely astounded at how rude they have been to people. Considering it goes by the moniker "Premier" you would certainly expect a level of customer service far above that provided.

This is a High quality fitness centre with adult leisure options (swim sauna etc). It's clean and has a good variety of equipment and classes. The cafe is open for non members and I think you can play on the day for swimming.

I use this gym a lot, and I'm not a gym bunny by any stretch. However I really like this one. The people are friendly and there is usually a member of staff around to help you if you get stuck with one of the machines. It is a busy place, but there are a lot of machines to go round so there's not usually too much of a queue. The changing areas are kept clean and everywhere is usually tidy. My only bug bear is that sometimes the overdo the volume on the music, with it drowning out my pod casts I like to listen to when I work out. But that is a minor point. Everything else is good.

Top gym. Clean and cool (as in air conditioned) with plenty of classes available. The instructors are excellent and motivating. You'd be unlucky to get a bad one. The Les Mills classes are brill. The only niggle I'd have is the lack of a Jacuzzi but the steam room and sauna are good. The refreshments in the café are decent and not extortionately priced. Does get very busy in the evening though, so be prepared to wait for machines if you are using the gym equipment.

Good all round gym run by the council. Commercial style, with lots of cardio equipment..weight lifting area has improved with small extension complete. New power rack & deadlift floor installed. Two squat racks, flat benches & lots of three weight 's. Only down side is it's a but expensive & the music in they play is on repeat.

Have been to majority of gyms in peterborough but the vivacity premier has to be the best one yet. The staff I'd brilliant and welcoming and the facilities are great. I had to cancel my membership for 2 month's due to health issues and contacted vivacity to join and see of they would not charge the admin fee and they allowed me to join back without the fee even though it was a month over what it's normal process is. I absolutely look forward to going to the gym and definately will not be looking at cancelling my membership anytime soon.
