G. S.Have only been a member for a month. But what a refreshing change from my previous GYM down the road. A great selection of kit. Plenty of spinning bikes and classes. But most importantly everyone is friendly. Really great gym that got my mojo back.
H.just joined this gym few weeks ago and since then everything is just what i expected, plenty of machine so you dont have to wait for ur session. it also has very welcoming staff, thanks everyone.

S. E.I joined recently and am very impressed with all aspects of this gym. The staff, in particular Sammie and Umez are professional and so friendly and helpful. I am recovering from an illness and both Sammie and Umez listened carefully to my needs and limitations and patiently showed me the equipment, correct usage and what I could expect to achieve. The other gym users are friendly and helpful which really helps. The place is spotless and very Covid aware. I am so glad I joined and can already see progress. If you have been considering joining a gym but are unsure then rest assured that this is the place to go. There are excellent changing rooms, lockers, free parking and a bike rack just outside the door. It feels safe and welcoming and I am already greeted by name as I enter. It really does deserve five stars.
C. H.Since the new owners took this over from Simply Gym, it's VERY much improved. Ambient lighting, new paint on walls, inspirational quotes and pictures, TV's, and a very welcome change of audio system mean that it feels much more worth the money.
The fees have gone up, and not by a small amount either. Simply ran a monthly at £17 but the equivalent now is £25; I do however feel it's worth it. The staff are much more approachable now that they also have an office area, rather than being perched on a table in the gym.
Most equipment remains the same but much has also been added, including an entire are devoted to legs! (the old class room) In the free weight area we've also now got a complete new set of dumbells. In the general machine are there's plenty of equipment in a better arrangement now so that space is being used efficiently.
Unfortunately they still run Radio 1 Extra most days which isn't the sort of music I like but can't have everything. Generally the gym definitely has a much more prominent social element to it than anywhere else I've been. During busy periods it can feel like groups of 3-4 guys are literally taking up half the gym with their personal banter session but maybe I'm just being a billy no mates there... Go during a quiet time and you don't get that.
The changing rooms have had a few improvements made but, for someone new coming in, especially if they've come from a new modern gym, they will notice roughness around the edges that the licks of paint can't cover. That said, they've probably also come from paying at least £10 a month more too! 4/5 overall. Some great improvements recently, please keep it up!!
E. C.Friendly staff, the equipment I used worked well, place was clean and tidy. Shower area is in need of maintenance but water was hot.
G. R.One of the best selections of equipment I've seen. Some old school. Some new.. All great. And spotlessly clean. If you're serious about general fitness, weight training or bodybuilding this is one of the best in Reading.
P. K.Very nice gym great equipped fantastic atmosphere finally people who working out around, not coming to show off in their Lacoste shorts and Hugo boss towels. Could be more small weights but probably Menagemant work on it already looking forward for small improvements.
