Having had a long lay off from regular climbing over past years, I had rediscovered my real enjoyment of this sport. I booked three days of coaching and skills refresher in Spain with Silvi, just before 'that pandemic' became a feature of life. Silvi had no problem with postponing for an unknown period, and we switched location to North Wales. With little climbing during that period, my objectives changed too. I needed a re-start, with more of a concentration on trad climbing, specifically leading, and on movement skills. I recently spent those three days covering all and more than I had hoped to achieve. We climbed plenty. Silvi's approach is very relaxed but utterly professional. Climbing should be fun - it certainly was during these days, and in great company! Thanks Silvi.

Absolutely brilliant couple of days with Silvia. She did such an amazing job of adapting the course to our climbing ability. I always felt like I was learning something, and by the end of the weekend I was leading routes up the local crag! If you want to learn more about climbing outdoors, I cannot recommend Silvia and her team more highly!

We had a fantastic day with Silvi of Rock Climbing Company - North Wales guiding us. We had mixed previous experience from complete beginner to regular indoor climber. Silvi structured a day to make sure we were competent with rope work and belaying on some easier climbs in the morning. In the afternoon we progressed to more difficult climbs and kept going until fatigued. The emphasis was always on learning by doing. All three of us felt safe throughout, had a wonderful time and progressed considerably. Highly recommended.

Thank you to Silvi and Steve for a truly amazing day in Snowdonia! I wanted to do a guided day to get more confident tackling scrambling by myself and expand the ranges of routes I can take on. Steve was the perfect guide for this and by the end of my day with the Rock Climbing Company he was supporting me lead up approaches I would previously have been afraid to tackle. He was extremely knowledgeable about the mountains and full of suggestions about what to try next in the area. The day after I felt confident enough to do Crib Goch by myself and am now planning my next adventure. In the run up to the trip, I needed to change both the date and the activity (twice!) Silvia was really understanding and accommodating and I would definitely recommend taking a trip with her company - I certainly will be doing again in the future.

She clearly has many years' experience, not only on rock, but also in teaching, and was able to tailor our session to our different ages and abilities - from setting up anchors and placing gear to climbing in trainers (!) - while keeping everyone happy and entertained. This week my son and I spent 2 days with Silvi on the crags above Betws Y Coed. We had a little climbing experience but mainly from indoor walls. The 2 very full days were instructive, challenging, safe and massively enjoyable. Silvi provided us with gear and throughout the period gave clear and comprehensive instructions regarding its use to keep us secure and comfortable. The rock walls we climbed were all manageable but stimulating, however at all times Sylvia's professional approach kept us supported on the rock. We'll certainly look to schedule further time with Silvi when we're next in Wales.

My 11 year old daughter and i had a really fabulous couple of days with Silvia in Snowdonia, where we covered the fundamentals of outdoor roped climbing. Silvia is great at what she does and I would highly recommend her- she is calm, laid back, good fun to chat with and is a good coach regardless of your level of skill (we both boulder/indoor wall climb). There was plenty of variety over the days and I would happily catch up again when we trek across to Wales to see some other pitches in the area. It's a shame she's not closer, spain is probably easier to get to for us. She was a perfect fit for my daughter particularly, who really responded well to her encouragement and coaching (believe me, that is a real compliment). If you're after someone to work with kids who dont like direction, she's particularly good (she used to be a languages teacher, and it really shows in how she works with kids and gives feedback). My daughter can't wait to go back and do some more, which is all you can ask for from such an experience. The whole time was great, was excellent value and I'd do again.

Silvi took me on a scrambling course up the north ridge of Tryfan. I'd never done anything like this before and Silvi was amazing. She explained what I needed to do throughout and skilfully changed the route when needed to keep it challenging but within my capability. I had a great time and would recommend Silvi to anybody who wants to learn to scramble.

We had such a lovely morning with Silvi during our summer holiday in Snowdonia. The group climbing were 3 teenage children with a some previous experience bouldering and top roping. Silvi quickly judged the difficulty of climbs required and made sure the kids got as many climbs in as possible during our 3 hour session. I booked two days with the Rock Climbing Company with the aim of doing a dream of white horses on the second day. The booking was to celebrate the end of my son's GCSEs. Unfortunately something came up and we had to move the booking by a week. Silvi, the owner, was brilliant and managed to get another instructor, Andy, sorted for us. The two days were great. The first day we climbed the South Stack at Gogarth so Andy could see if we were up to doing Dream and introduce us to the more technical elements of sea cliff climbing. The the next day we did "Dream of White horses" which was just epic. Andy was great and even went above and beyond and did some nice technical/theoretical training with us. I cannot recommend them highly enough and if you have never done sea cliff climbing I would recommend even if you have done a bit of trad before.

We had an excellent climbing experience with Euan from the Rock Climbing Company. His relaxed, professional manner helped assuage our pre-climbing nerves. We were certainly safe in his hands. During our half-day session (quite enough for two 50-year-old novices and two teenagers) we learnt to climb, abseil and belay. Fantastic day of cliff climbing in Anglesey. Silvi was a perfect guide with a huge amount of experience. She led us on two climbs that definitely tested my nerves but felt completely safe in her expert hands. Silvi explained everything really clearly and coached us through every part of the climb. I was very out of practice but a day with Silvi has encouraged me to take up climbing again. She also went to great lengths to make sure the day was properly documented with photos!

Excellent instruction from Sylvia over two days. I approached the Rock Climbing Company with aspiration to confidently lead VD climbs and understand how to lead scrambles; having only lead a few VD routes prior to this bespoke course. Sylvia’s knowledge, enthusiasm and encouragement enabled me quickly to grasp essential techniques and tactics which gave me the confidence to push my grade. By the second day I was leading HS multipitch routes. Post-course I lead a friend up Cneifion Arete. I spent three brilliant days with Silvi, with the plan to learn scrambling and climbing skills ahead of a trip to the Alps. Coming over from Norway to visit Wales for the first time, my partner and I had an amazing day scrambling on Tryfan Fach and Tryfan with Andy who was our instructor for the day. We had booked a one day scrambling course, and the day exceeded all our expectations. Based on our level of experience and aspirations, the day was tailored to us, allowing us to learn the necessary skills, and to challenge ourself on the rock while at the same time feeling a 100% safe on Andy’s belay. His friendly personality and him being an experienced and qualified instructor, together with good weather and beautiful scenery, made for a perfect day. We have felt very well taken care of through the whole process from start to finish, and I can’t recommend Rock Climbing Company enough.

We all have very different style and favorite type of climbing, and I still don't know how she found locations and routes that could help all of us improve. Also, none of us knew that it's possible to learn and improve so much after only four days with her!! Me and my climbing partner were looking for some alpine climbing training before a trip to the Pyrenees. Silvi arranged a couple of sessions for us with Pete, her mountaineering instructor. it was an amazing experience, even though the weather was kinda Welsh ;) Pete is a really good instructor, he created some realistic alpine scenarios for us on various scrambling routes in Ogwen valley. We have proceeded to climb some AD grade ridges independently. Can't recommend it enough!
