Reviews of B&Q Aberdeen - Bridge Of Don
Always a plesent trip to the store, always has everything that I need and the staff are always pleasant to talk to when I need help. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare, not enough spaces and they are old style so don't hit a modern car very well.
This is president Barack Obama, I went in last week and got served by a staff member by the name of Sophie, was very rude and secret service almost decked her. Was rude to me the whole time and laughed at me when I asked for a paint colour, then tried to find a lamp and she showed me to the lamps but then walked away even though I had questions. Overall I will NOT be going back, staff were rude
Just picked up my raffle win at BnQ bridge of don Aberdeen ,thanks to Audra and her staff
Went in needed a bit had no clue what it was, just had the old broken one, showed the chap it and he took me to what i needed even replaced the part in store for me and then. Good chat and very polite and helpful.
Derek was his name and absolutely top notch service.
A bit overpriced, used to be the goto for good DIY.. but others can offer same products, after a hunt 50% cheaper no joke same wallpaper, same manufacturer, got it for 9.99, B&Q was 22.00 per roll !!
Not the biggest store or the best selection but good staff and accessibility
Always there when you needed 😄. Love this local shop
Loads of choice plenty of room inside to wander. Parking is easy. Staff are helpful.
Good place to buy anything you need to renovate your home
Nice helpful staff. Great stock as its always had . Just watch out for the queue to the drive through coffee shop. It chockes up the carpark at certain times.
Massive selection of stuff at good prices and a very clean, tidy, store. Parking is good, but shared access can make it awkward to get in. If I had one issue it's that there are not enough floor staff to assist you if you can't find something. Other than that, an excellent store to visit.
Really good experience recently when looking to buy flooring for mu living room. A member of staff went above and beyond his call of duty to help me with all I needed. Flooring was almost 70% cheaper than 2 other carpet places and more than 50% cheaper than other one.
Great choice, not too expensive, friendly and helpful staff 10/10 +
Staff was very friendly and super helpful with advise and answers to our questions.
Good, well stocked store. Typically B&Q
Staff really helpful. First time that I have been there and would definately go back. What I wanted was not in stock and staff went out of their way to find something that did the same job.
Great collection and loads of options. Friendly staff
Always has what I need. Staff are friendly and store is well laid out. But only 3 stars as this one urgently needs to relocate. The car park was way too small before the other units were refurbished. Now, it's such a stress getting parked.
What a 'toyshop', I'm in it quite a lot! Love the displays for the armature DIY person. Advice can be found but take it with care. Good staffing levels and the kitchen design assistants are good at their job. They don't always have what you're looking for but a trip to the other B&Q usually fixes things. Pity the B of D branch doesn't deliver so large items still have to be ordered online or delivered by the Garthdee store.
Found almost everything I wanted and was assisted by very helpful advice from staff member who brought me a trolley without me asking...plus cheerful checkout staff (not always the case but very sweet today) despite both working through the holiday period!
All went well. Very clean and easy to walk round. Staff kind and helpful. Especially the lovely lady who understood my need to go to the loo!! No big deal made -- was very grateful!! Found what I wanted and check out lady friendly too. Nice visit!!
Ordered 3 doors and advised of delivery date which failed to be accurate and didn't arrive for a further 5 days Customer service useless with advisor simply reading answers from a screen
Got everything I needed. There is everything in the shop that you need for indoors and outdoors.
good range but could have better signposting staff helpful
Pricey but huge range of products.
an ordinary B&Q store, as usual, prices bite, but if say on the note, this store needs cosmetic repairs
Great help.. staff very friendly
Great place for larger collections of home stuffs
They have extra. Covid-19 measures. Queue to get in. Someone at the door checking for masks. All trollies pre sanitised. Checkout was good too. Distancing when getting your items scanned. They even wipe down the keypad of the chip and pin between uses.
I like what they have done.
Friendly and helpfull staff! John was very knowledgeable in his products and assisted me in choosing the right tool for the job. Many thanks 😊
Amazing range really good
Used this store for click and collect twice during the current crisis. First time I was met by a rather rude long haired (male) individual who was rude and insulting customers whilst collecting our orders. Second time I went there was met by a very polite and helpful lady, what a contrast. One star for first visit, 5 star for second visit, average of three stars.
Really helpful staff
No idea what they put into the coffee in the staff canteen but everyone is always really happy and keen to help. If you're in a rush they'll get everything you need and have you in and out of the store in minutes. They seem to have staff who are experts in each department and they are very good at explaining and giving advice. Great if you're a novice like me.
Good store. Parking at peak times can be tricky due to new developments. Good selection in store. Customer toilets now closed which is disappointing considering how many tradesmen use the store during their working hours and can't just nip to other stores in development. Garden and outdoor supplies are usually well stocked also.
Sorry guys i was not shopping at B & Q , I was shopping at M&S which was 5 star
Like many DIY stores, this B&Q store is well stocked with all one requires for home improvement, gardening, lighting etc. Friendly helpful staff, easy plentiful parking. Very popular place.
Good size diy shop. From my experience Their stocks is c.60-70% of Gardthee shop. So if you looking for something specific, you will have better chances finding it in B&Q at Gardthee..
Disappointed that they've removed most checkouts and using scanners instead. Prefer the communication with actual people.
Excellent customer service. Always find what I need. Handy free parking.
Great quality service from your staff member (Rory) a young gentleman from kitchen department. He assisted me with a purchase from another department and had good knowledge of the products. This chap has real management potential. Thank you.
One of the better DIY stores. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful, the store itself is sensibly laid out, with good stock control, decent parking. I think it's used by a fair amount of trade due to its location. Its not my closest. But it is my preferred.
Extremely helpful staff, in particular, a lady in the paint section who guided me to the right product for my challenge. A great sized store packed full of stock!!!
Hi there was a employee who was very good and took time to help me and my husband dont now his name but he was a west ham support and he was the same as my husband wish there was more people like him in shops
Not the biggest of B@Q stores but still a good selection of well priced goods.
Excellent customer service. Was there yesterday and today. Both times i was served by 2 lovely helpful staff members. Susie on sunday and Sue on monday. Both extremely helpful and polite
My wife and me are in the very early stages of planning a new kitchen for installation next spring. ( Obviously covid 19 permitting), so we had a planning appointment with Claire Morrison on Friday. Social distancing was strictly adhered to, and hand sanitisation was readily available. Claire was very attentive to our planning designs, and very willing to offer alternative options to suit our available kitchen space. There's absolutely no hard sell to plump for the more expensive options, and she let us browse at ease to let us choose our preferred worktops, doors, white goods etc.etc. A great service which should be commended. Keep up the good work folks in these strange covid times, and we hope to be in touch with Claire again soon with our preferred kitchen.
Easy to find things once you have been there a few times, because they don't move things around every now and again like supermarkets do. Good selection and kind staff. They sell usual brands, but not the best ones, perhaps to show that B&Q is not an expensive shop, though it would be good to have some really good quality things as well, because after all B&Q is like a local shop: you can speak to staff much easier and return things if they are faulty, etc.
Four stars seems reasonable for a diy store. It is very big and certainly convenient in it's place by sainsbury and the stonehaven road. Close to ASDA too and boots. Plenty of variety of stock. The cafe serves reasonable food but I wouldn't go here for lunch but coffee and snacks are fine. The staff are helpful but during busy times thin on the ground it seems.
Didn't think they had the usual amount of Christmas so was really disappointed in that I did however get my new tool box so that was great
Stocks are a bit restricted especially regarding paint, timber and most fasteners (various screws etc). However, despite the adversity due to the Coronavirus precautions, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
No issues
Bought some new lights, choice of material is much more than was few times ago, although there is shortage of material ones was plenty before pandemic
Couldn't buy a seat for my sun lounger so was disappointed. But bought plants. Long queue for the tills but they tried to get you through quick as they could
It's a smaller store and doesn't carry the entire range. There is a severe parking shortage. But it's handy being near to the end of the Aberdeen bypass.
Needs a face-lift outside, not as good a range of items as I had expected (no loose bolts or screws, no UPVC) Disappointing.
Bought loads of paint last Sunday.
Linda( who served us) couldn't have been more helpful.
She was understanding and patient but above all else, she knew her job exceptionally well.
A real credit to B&Q.
Visited during covid 19 restrictions. Store was well appointed to ensure customer safety and staff very helpful. Checked website for stock levels prior to travelling.
we are looking for a new bathroom . Visited B&Q poor range on display Staff ignored us and sat at a screen chatting ,literally no help at all. Will try elsewhere!
ladies were very helpful people working in kitchen section i forgot their name i'm sorry Her name star whit au
Good for diy needs
Good location within a retail park, plenty parking but can be busy at peak times. Everything you need for home diy, good gardening section. Staff always on hand if you need any help.
Great value and car was sparkling
According to the website an item I needed was in stock but I couldn't find, the friendly staff went out of their way to make sure I didn't leave empty handed. Thanks!
Very good and not so busy, good suply and fair prices..It's better to avoid the peak hours during these dreadful times so you'll have a better shopping experience..
Had the goods. Price was fair. And 10 % discount. :-)
Very handy for stuff but not a warehouse so a wee bit dearer than a warehouse, but new Costa restaurant being built beside it and over new show rooms also
my experience at b&q was both informative as i was given great advice from the staff member on the viynl flooring strips i needed as had to match the batch no's to get flooring that patterns match and the service at the till was both fast and eficiant. i'd recommend b&q to my friends to get all their home D.I.Y needs or buisness requirements.
Cheap for timber and paint but expensive for screws and many other items. Stopped stocking basic GU10 recessed downlights and only sticking expensive fire rated ones which is just a rip off
On this occasion the service I received was below standard and the staff I dealt with directly were less than helpful. Not the usual quality I have been used to from this depot.
Usual B&Q fare, well laid out. However! - Since the new shopping units opened opposite, and the carpark was realigned, you cannot find a parking space. Stay away! Stay FAR away.
Stock levels not always what they shoul be.. Eg screws n nails
Regular visitor, and happy to shop there, shared case Park can get a bit busy.
Great selection of laminate flooring. Sales assistant very knowledgeable and helpful.
Store was quiet and not crowded. All properly socially distanced and staff very helpful
Had an obscure query about a specialist paint, staff member helped me resolve... Having said that, the way BNQ organise their stock sometimes by type sometimes by supplier does not help.
Great DIY store, usually manche to find what's required
Great location and perfect combination of retailers
All under one roof doing some diy in the house and garden went online for click and collect. Order was ready within an hour 👍🏻
Wood cutting service is exceptionally good. Very helpfull staff and very please to deal with.
Needs updated and some paint on the walls
Not as good as the Garthdee Road branch. Many items I wanted to buy have been out of stock at Bridge of Don.
I wasn't really needing anything but just went in to have a look at the plants. Wide selection and plenty to choose from.
Quick service, staff know their job could find items easy.
Great range of products, reasonable prices and staff are always very pleasant and helpful.
Good range of everything needed at this B&Q. A lot busier than it used to be now that Marks & Spencer, Costa etc has moved in, and it can be harder to find a car park space...but drive towards costa and you’ll see the car park behind B&Q on the left.
Typical B&Q but with less stock the at B&Q Garthdee
Staff always helpful only problem is sometimes the available store stock online isn't correct leading to a wasted journey.
Very good
Car park is terrible, B&Q store is good helpful staff, and easy to get around the store.
You need to watch what you get, damage is common and parts can be missing.
Several return trips to replace 😞😭
Good range of stuff, can be a bit pricey in some areas. Staff seem friendly and competent
Retail park with a few options really good M&S
We went to Costa really impressive the new service system in place for covid really great
Can be good but if Screwfix stock it, go there. It will be a lot cheaper even though both are owned by the same parent company.
Great for a wee stroll around the place, especially if you're looking for wall clocks cause they don't seem to have any. Could be walking for a while
Successful trip. Got what I wanted and some additional items. Very helpful staff. Top Mark's.
Normal service as you would expect
Everything you need to cater for the necessary tasks during these times. Friendly and helpful staff.
Store is ok staff are not always helpful even if you explain what it is that you need
Great at last managed to source a 13kg gas cylinder for my barby!
Good store, has everything you need for a DIY'er, I'd give it a cool 5*
The staff was very helpful and we got a display model as they didn't have a boxed one great service
It's a bnq I do prefer this one in Aberdeen than to the other one.
Easy to find what your looking for, just ask. Covid rules all in place, looking after customers.
Social distance was difficult due to the size of the shop, the number of customers inside and the narrow aisles.
Good shop great customer service
Got what i needed and staff know where stuff is and thats what you need doing d.i.y no messing about just get it and go.
Had what I needed not busy during g my visit
Only 2 Sets of Chest of Drawers to choose from in this big store, expensive also, look elsewhere.
Have almost everything you need for home maintenance and great place to look around to generate ideas for your next home project.
Very helpful staff. If in doubt just ask. Good shopping experience for DIY
No good today, was looking for dust masks but none, but couldn't find them anywhere else either though
A well equipped store where the staff are very well mannered
And always happy to help
Went in to purchase a under cabinet striplight tube which I had bought from here before. Ofcourse they don't stock this tube any more.
Friendly helpful staff, I had to return an item and they assisted with this flawlessly.
Always handy but some items exceptionally expensive for what they are.
Plenty of parking plenty of space managed to get everything I needed found it a bit difficult to find help , but once found was great
It's was good had a trip with my dad and he found everything he was looking for I would recommend it
Well stocked and super helpful staff
You get what ever you need for DIY here but bit pricy for home plants
Went to buy bamboo canes. Easy to find
Good price.
Very helpful staff, helped me find exactly what I was after, very reasonably priced
Things look good, but sometimes not the quality I had expected
Handy for odds and sods. Good choice of DIY goods. Staff can be a little abrupt.
It's a large B&Q in a good location. Click and collect is spot on with a good selection in store and timber yard at the back
Went there looking for interior door handles and found a good selection with various prices. Was quick and easy.
Friendly helpful staff, good value too.
My go to DIY store. Friendly and helpful staff.
Good layout, had everything in stock we required & were helpful staff.

B&Q always has what I want and if I can't find it , the staff are pretty helpful !
Good selection of DIY materials and tools laid out in a way to allow you to compare suitability and price.
Nice place but many things out of stock.
Best aquatic shop in Aberdeen. Very friendly helpful staff. Clean and spacecous shop with lots of variety
Well stocked with helpful staff
Good retail for your DIY needs and Costa for a nice coffee
This b&q is ok, not as much stock/choice as Garthdee but hey, if you live on the north side of Aberdeen it's the first one to try.
Sometimes stock is limited but overall a good store and they'll order stuff in for you
Shelfs always half full. Valspour paint is very bad.
Decent DIY store. Some B and Q own brand items not the best but generally OK.
Controlled entry. Felt very safe. Floor marked out good and clear.
Getting and out of car park is a nightmare due to Costa coffee drive through.
Great service and parking getting better
Staff were nice and helpful and the seems to be dealing with COVID to a high standard
Handy place for DIY essentials however there are other places in town and nearby that can be a bit cheaper
The staff were helpful on deciding what I needed..

Very helpful girl on reception
This b&q has a lot of space for parking as well as being well organized
It's a DIY store some good bargains staff helpful
Small store compared to the one on the other side of town, and lacks the supplies of the other one. Being on the edge of the city it makes popping in and out eay
Reasonable range and helpful staff when we visited
Lots of stock available, friendly staff, lots of parking space
They had a live set show with midgets. Amazing.
Good stuff
I got exactly the kind of rope I was looking for and the lengths it was sold in worked for me.
Nice store but car park needs more spaces.
Not enough staff to help out. Ended up with wrong item after staff advice!
Got exactly what we wanted. Shame the price had gone up from £72 to £90.
Large variety of goods, garden centre is very good
