I had all intention Of giving Murdocks 5 stars , after being to almost every building yard in County Down I must say very friendly and attentive,from the minute we arrived ,great helping me getting what I needed , I didn't even mind the day late delivery, because things do happen but because of a silly miss calculation part of my order was wrong meaning I had to put off my job start , got that sorted paid for new order straight away but have to wait, no date for new delivery and kept putting me of on phone , no ring back , now of course I've lost my space with my builder , not happy 🙃 I would just like to say that after speaking to the manager everything was fixed and delivered, thank you so much and Will most definitely being using Murdocks again , just the fact that they are pleasant to deal with ,

Went for timber and was about to park outside the yard when a helpful member of staff ushered me into the yard to a customer parking space. A second member of staff appeared straight away and offered to help me. I explained what I wanted and was given the advice needed to decide what was needed for my project. He even cut up the wood to my requirements in order for it to fit in the car. Very pleasurable shopping experience! Highly recommended.

It’s very Welcoming to find a builders merchant like Murdocks Building Merchants who are friendly and helpful. They are also very competitive and always try and deliver a fast service...as in all things now connected with COVID-19 things do inevitably slow down but I must say they do offer a great service. Highly recommend these guys and you won’t be disappointed so give them a try. Shalom!

Large, sprawling Builders' Merchants with an extensive range of stock, competitively priced. Open to general public as well as trade. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They had what I needed (fermiculite of mixed-size grains and diamond-tipped drill bits for putting holes in high-fired ceramics).

A great spot just behind the Castlereagh Tesco carpark; I think it caters more to trade, but some great bargains and it all seems to be towards the top end of the quality scale.... Defo worth checking out if you're local.
