t.Never the easiest brand to shop with due to the size of the unit but it usually has good stock levels and tills are rarely queued out. Loads of parking and long opening hours. A decent DIY experience
A. A.Great big and amazing!!!. This place has everything seeing stuff in person is so much better than doing it online you get to see the quality and details of great products all under one roof staff where great help and where reliable as always.

M.Suffice to say they have everything including multiple kitchen sinks, I'd ordered some stuff online for click and collect and while everything seemed hunky dory initially it was only when I got home I realised the items were not the size I'd ordered. Back to the store and the sizes I required were not available so a credit note was issued and I bought alternatives. All very good but I would say it's not the first time I've had issues with their online ordering systems, the last time it was internal doors and that ended up being an absolute nightmare. Any other company usually arranges things so that one collects at a single store but not B&Q and you can end up running about like the proverbial blue buttocked fly, opting to have the doors delivered wasn't much better tbh and I ended up doubling my monthly phone bill sorting it out. For a large retailer they seem more than a tad disjointed and disconnected. The staff however are grand, knowledgeable and helpful with an apparently photographic memory for which isle any given item is located in. The staff get 10/10 whereas the company's system get a 5/10.

D. M.Glasgows West end DIY superstore. Everything you could possibly need. Lots of tools an stuff. Catch a burgher or coffee across from the place when when finished drooling over everything.
Or buy a telly from curry's next door. Alternatively just wave at the pilots if the very low flying planes every ten min heading to Glasgow Airport.

A. W.A quite large B&Q store in this Retail park in Dumbarton road with all the items you would associate with this eponymous DIY store, although I am sure they do not sell as many items as they used to and you sometimes need to go to specialist store to find the item you require. It doesn't really have any realistic competitors in the high street, I was here looking at wooden flooring, but although it seemed reasonably priced here my advice would be always to shop around.
P. D.Good parking, easy to get to, lots of different stock. Lots of big brand shops within walking distance.
L. K.I mostly use this shop for plants. It has a great selection of indoor plant pots. I was struggling with getting a large indoor pot for my monstera until I found this guy. There's a decent selection of cheap terracotta and plastic pots too. 🌿

D.my partner and i were at B&Q friday 25th june ..we could not find what we were looking for we asked a assistant who"s name was RACHEL.. she took us to what we were looking for ..and when we were leaving the store we forgot something else we needed ..we asked a member of staff were to go ..she directed us what isle to go to and there would be a member of staff waiting for us..who was there waiting RACHEL...once again she advised us what we were wanting was not suitable for what we needed it for ..and showed us another product which would be easier to use ...we left store happy and content with our goods ...thanks RACHEL....THERE IS NO B&Q IN RACHEL.....BUT THERE IS A RACHEL IN B&Q ....

D.Nothing new, a vast selection of overpriced goods, but what are you going to do. Get them online, pay carriage and have to wait in or go to B&Q and pay through the nose. The items I was looking for did not justify traveling any distance in the vain hope of a realistic price so it was bite the bullet. Oh, a good rule of thumb is to avoid their own brand, how many times I have succumbed to that temptation and it has cost me both financially and wasted time.
Update, 25 11 22.
Still the same good selection of good but this occasion they didn't have what I was looking for, I'll get it in one of the few hardware stores that are still opened locally.

T. K.My first meeting with them was quite pleasant. They had knowledgable staff who were polite and helpful, though often hard to find (flooring section). However, when they agreed to store our tiles for pickup over the weekend, and then lost them, I was rather annoyed with them. They did sort it though, still patient and helpful, and offered refund or store credit (I chose the latter). I was offered good help in finding new options for our tiles, and it all worked out well in the end. They were lacking in some services, but over all a good experience. I would return.

L. B.The queues can be quite bad depending on the time of day. The staff is very varied - one man clearly had no idea what was in stock or any idea of where to look and a lady at the paint station was pretty surly - the labelling machine had broken. Another man was really helpful and directed me to the right place to find a fairly niche item. And on another occasion someone made me up paint samples even though the shop was about to shut and was really nice about it. Made a return with the original payment card and was easy and quick. They have the full range of valspar available but quite a poor sampling of other paints - list all shades of farrow and ball but only have some available. Not well stocked in timber but that is fairly universal at the moment.
P. H.Roof needs a few repairs lots of drips when it's raining, walking round dodging buckets.

G. U.Not that impressed with this store as it's very pricey. The side aisles are quite narrow and we would say if the aisle is busy with people in it, then there wouldn't be enough room for prams and wheelchairs. It does have lots of parking and is wheelchair accessible. The store has a variety of products from tools to garden items, paint, wallpaper, wood and plants and many other items. Would not recommend because the prices are very expensive 👎👎

A. B.First time visiting DIY store since Lockdown, good signage for parking.
Store very well marked to keep social distancing, Unfortunately not everyone adhered, but that is "Joe Public" for you!!!
Stock was a wee bit limiting ,but we managed. Accessing checkouts was very well managed ,better than some Supermarkets -Well Done B&Q.
L.Bit hit or miss when it comes to staff some are really helpful and friendly and some are just down right rude. Because of this I choose more often than not to just click and collect my items to avoid having to go into store.
S. B.I go here regularly, for jigsaws, hammer-drills,graters, et al; I always get excellent service from B&Q colleagues who are helpful and expert in their field, esp. Ed, Lee, Harry, and Bob. Thank-you!
Update 06/03/21: Went here for a battery-powered planer, and some other items. Adam and Catherine were most helpful, and knowledgeable in their field, provided outstanding customer service, whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines. Clare was also amazing. Thank-you again!

M.B&Q had a queue when we arrived,we waited about 15 to 20 minutes,but when we got in all social distancing measures were in place,their swipe facility for debit cards wasn't working you had to key your pin in,, but we were told this as we entered the store they are also not taking returns but the boy went round the queue telling people ,we were able to find what we wanted and they had four or five checkouts open,so we were quite happy when we left,plenty helpers in the store to tell you where things were

D.Good quick contactless collection, only issue is the we were given a gift of a lawnmower and it was booked for us and after 24 hours (couldnt collect immediately due to still working) recieved a message saying the order would be cancelled at close of business that day. We called and they said its automatic and theres nothing that could be done even given the current climate.

S. Y.Market type, everything for the home. You can actually buy everything you need at home. Lawn mowers, paints, tools, specialist work clothes. You actually have almost everything. Curtains, blinds, curtain rails, it's hard to describe everything. A good place for people who do not count with every penny. The main disadvantage of this network are prices. This is an expensive store. You have to be reckoned with. It happens to hit an interesting promotion, for example on some power tools like I bought a screwdriver with a denture recognized world-wide for not a bad price, but after the promotions is a fairly expensive store.

Stock levels, especially paint and rollers / brushes etc have taken a beating after Covid (so check online before going in for something specific) and their checkout system seems different every time I've been in since lockdown eased, which is a bit confusing. Many of the personal services, such as kitchen design, are closed due Covid. Sign up online and you'll regularly get vouchers such as £5 off next shop of at least £50 to use in store.
