This place is excellent, both for the diversity of stock carried and the pleasant helpful manner of the staff. If you're looking for something you can't get anywhere else, give them a try or better still go there first. Some years ago they didn't have what I was looking for so they ordered it in. A gem of a store.

A gift of a shop, there is nothing quite like it. Has an array of hardware and parts you cannot find anywhere else. Been around over 60 years and has never lost it's simple homely charm. Staff cannot do enough to help. If you prefer the cold unwelcoming large hardware warehouse chains this is not the place for you.

I love this shop, store, emporium, it has nearly everything. Staff are always friendly and helpful, even if they don't have what you're looking for. I was looking for a connecting link for a window blind chain, the owner gave me a business card for a local blind maker and they gave me some connecters for free. That's service. Although the store is crammed with stock, the staff always know we're it is, amazing. Definitely recommend.

Amazing place for all your DIY needs and lots of other things aswell. The staff are so helpful and friendly, they went out there way to help me with a DIY issue I had; spending a lot of time brainstorming and finding a solution for it with me and in the end I only spent £1.20 on six screws but they were happy to help. Always try here first instead of your big DIY shops as they are so knowledgeable and you'd be amazed at the vast array of stock they have in the shop. If you ever think 'where would I get that from' the answer is usually the Scotstoun Emporium and there prices are amazing.

If you need anything to finish or start a DIY job this is the place to go very friendly and helpful staff and the owner is also very helpful with his great knowledge of small 1 off items and if you only need 1 you can just buy 1 not like those places that want you to buy 50-100 just GREAT can't say more except try them.

Went in for Velcro. Shop had both 1" & 2" widths in black or white and self adhesive or sew on available. Almost a case of ..... If they don't have it, you don't need it! A gem of a place!

This place is fantastic it been going strong for many yrs I think it been in business since the 1920s/30s it always seems busy aswell which can only mean they're doing something right the staff are very friendly knowledgeable and eager to help you find what you are looking for probably 1 of the last independent hardware and homemaker shops still trading its definitely an emporium find thing here that your big DIY stores don't stock

I love this place and the people who work in it. The tiny shop is packed to the rafters with stuff but if you say what you need they are off and find it in a matter of seconds. Proper old school service with excellent prices.

This place is brilliant, an old fashioned hardware store with everything from 4 candles to fork handles. Probably one of the oldest hardware stores in the world, famous in the west of Glasgow

I have for years shooped for all my hardware requirements at Scotstoun Emporium and have yet to be disappointed by the quality of service and truly extensive range of products in stock. It reminds me of days gone by when local family run businesses put their customers first, offered helpful advice and knew exactly where to find the item you are looking for.

When the time comes for me to move from Glasgow I might kidnap owners of this shop and make them re-open wherever I'll be moving. I'm yet to find anything they don't sell and everyone who works there is incredibly helpful. For a lot of DIY stuff it's always my first port of call and very often it is cheaper than buying online. If I could I would give it six stars, my favourite shop by far.

Love going in here. Don't mind waiting to be served as it's just a wee joy to be transported back to the time before local shops were squeezed out of communities by corporate coffers. Staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional . Highly recommend.

Round sureform 8mm olives one scoop of cement based tile adhesive or two brass screws, Ian and his staff are very knowledgable and can advise on stuff and/ or alternatives.
