Great selection of stuff and the 2 guys who work here are lovely, I always feel comfortable asking them for tips and know they give good advice. The one time they didn't have something I needed the owner even told me where to get it instead. Best hardware shop I've found in London!

AMAZING. I’d give more stars if I could. Been coming to this little shop for years. You’ll be surprised how many things are available. Saf and Dawoo are extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of building supplies from a single screw to an entire suite and everything in between. Great customer service and fair prices. The best DIY store in town, the customer service was great and communication skills were on point. They knew exactly what they were talking about and were great with advice. They are filled with all DIY goods from washers to pipes and I regularly buy all my super glues and battery’s from this shop. All items are genuine and high quality, also got great paint from there. I will always come here for my DIY needs, 5 stars for sure!

Proper old school Hardware Store. I love it! The chap who runs it is a legend. I recently moved in and got all my bits from this tidy place. Its like an Aladdin's cave there. He has all you need and if he does not he will pin point in the right direction. He knows an awful lot about the area. Very helpful chap he should work in the UN would make the word a better place!!! lol

This comment is for the benefit of the general public and my valued local customers within the community, who me and my wife have tirelessly strived to serve over the last 9 difficult but also rewarding years. Facts surrounding the case; The shop opens from 8.30am to 5.30pm weekdays. I did close early. I am sorry. Customer walked into shop at 4.59pm Scenario; The customer failed to mention he came in the day before. I could have easily sold him whatever I wanted and taken the cash and served the next customer on that day, buts this not what I am made off! Instead I advised he come back with all the necessary bits and we start again. This was free advice which was well over 3 mins. Customer before money policy. I asked key questions about the wall he would be putting up this TV/Bracket on. The size of screws or plugs or drill needed. He was not sure. All in order to make sure We get the job done the first time and right! He needed 6 screws, 6 wall plugs and 6 washers and a drill bit. He agreed it was best to go away and get the bracket and we would start all over again. I must have done something right for him to trust me for him to come back . My shop is over 200 years old, thanks to all the previous owners hard work and loyal customers past and present we are here today. On the day in question, I very much like the customer in question, had to rush off home for reasons I don't feel comfortable putting up on the public domain. I too have a life at home with two young girls who I don't see all day for 6 days of the week as I am working and an I have an ill father who needs his eldest son at times like these today! I had to rush off from work just like this customer had too rush away to get to the shop. I apologise. The computer and till were both off and dust covers were placed on them. so no cash payment scan be taken. The open flashing sign in the shop window was off. The internet which enables payment was off. I had got out of work clothes and changed into home clothes. Keys in hand to lock up. I did say to him as he entered we are closed sir sorry. I did not go into details as why who and where. He said this will only two mins I said no sir I am sorry it won't and I must go. I aim to deliver a proper service which hand on my heart won't take two mins. Also in that time another customer/s can easily walk in who then I need to serve. I live a one hour drive away from work, all these factors need to be taken into account. I then shut the lights and proceeded to lock up shop and put the shutters down. Customer left. It is our policy to offer a discount or even free goods for unhappy customers. I am still willing to do this if and only if this gentlemen can come back and explain the need to comment on my beard! His comment has effected me since he posted it. That is personal and I would like to think I would never do that. I have been raised better by my grand father and dad NOT TOO. I will no longer comment on this thread as I feel I have given my all to this and it leaves an unprofessional feel to speak about such matters in the public domain. Yours faithfully the 'bearded' boss, who continues to strive and come in at 7am even though it says open at 8.30am on the door! M&G Building Supplies we are the best locally because we value our customers who are the BEST!

Very Nice Shop, with a homely feel to it. Looks like Aladdins Cave to be honest.The staff are helpful and friendly with loads of ideas to make DIY seem simple (In my case it ain't !). Would definatly recommend to all from CowBoys (Like Myself) to qualified builders. Ps the next time I come in I want a DISCOUNT.
