A. a. A. a. H. H.We've been using Mike Wye limewash for over 15 years. Superb product and great service - the colour is now discontinued, but they recently mixed it specially for us so we didn't have to repaint all our woodwork!
M. D.I've used Mike Wye to buy paints & lime plasters & for their building services. The Seciltek suite is fantastic & very simple for someone new to doing ad-hoc lime work.
Their build team is phenomenal. We had a C17 cottage re-rendered by MW. The quote process was very straightforward, transparent and cost competitive. Incredibly we were offered two week payment terms with no upfront deposit which was very reassuring - nobody else offered this to us at the time.
The hacking off of existing render was more complex than expected and the cob/ rubble underneath needed extensive repair, but we were warned this might be the case and understood that it would not be known until the existing render was off. Pricing for these repairs was transparent & we were given advanced notice of costs to be incurred.
The render looks fantastic, the general finish and rounded corners/ reveals have improved the building dramatically.
The same team of guys & girl were on site from hacking off, through structural repair, rendering, painting and finally stonework.
Everyone was courteous and prompt, they were the cleanest contractors I've come across and accommodated young children, telling each other to down tools when our youngest were in the vicinity. We live on two footpaths and we still have passing walkers comment on how polite & pleasant the team were.
We've had minor settlement cracks since completion, which were highlighted as possible at the time of rendering and these were promptly and tidily addressed by the team following a phone call.
I cannot recommend Mike Wye as a company enough. The staff are brilliant and provided great peace of mind for major projects.

Mike wye did not want to compensate me for the entire bag at first for certain reasons, but they got back to me and offered a replacement after thinking it over.
I Appreciate their ability to reconsider. Hope the replacement bag is all good like the first 4 were.

Being able to physically feel your tools was a winner. Ordering off the website isn't the same. The usual old covid excuse is wearing thin. Customer service experience nil. Shame as some of their products is decent.

Not come across this before, but it is clever, especially when one is working on a Listed Building and might prevent you from upsetting any Conservation Officer. !! D. C.I chanced across this firm when I saw a YouTube video about lime mortar pointing and emailed Mike for advice. Rather than the usual dismissive nature of a lot of builders that seems to be common, I had a long email back from Mike detailing exactly what I need to do and how. I'd thoroughly recommend them. I'm renovating a house myself and will do the pointing and was constantly getting mixed advice online and from other builders.

A. C.I have used Mike Wye Twice now and the service is excellent and the product also. I have had issues with Limewash in the past from other sources but their product is excellent!

H.I have been using Lime Wash from Mike Wye for the last ten years ever since building control in my area suggested we replace the cement render on the back of my house with a much softer Lime render. They then suggested we paint it with Lime Wash to allow moisture to pass back and forth freely halting the cracks and blisters in the render and paint.
The Lime Wash from Mike Wye is a really high quality product, it is easy to use and looks great. It is much better value than traditional paints and creates a soft sheen as it drys.
In my experience it also maintains it's even look for longer than normal paint and still looks good after four years of weathering.
I have just bought more Lime Wash as I am about to paint the outside of my house after a four year gap.
I would highly recommend the use of Lime Wash as a product and Mike Wye associates as their service and advice have been brilliant.
