Reviews of B&Q Preston
M. 6.
A mid week visit. The store was reasonably quiet, plenty of available staff to assist if needed. Lots of end of summer season clearance sales all at reasonable prices. Store was well organised, items clearly marked, tidy and clean. This is my first go to store if I am looking to purchase anything for either inside or outside of my home.
D. F.
Been multiple times (almost every weekend for the first 6 months) since I purchased my new home. The staff at this store are always extremely helpful and kind and go above and beyond to help.
P. S.
been coming to this b&q for 10 years, proper class with lots of kit. usually some sound geezas working here. big ups to conner on fires, found me mum a tidy little fire, calm
K. v. S.
I love this store. It's always clean and nicely spaced so that you can shop freely.
L. J.
This store is bigger than an aircraft carrier, or a medium hospital. Or the size of a football field. But smaller than a premium rank football stadium. It's the biggest single level building I have been in. When we decorated we bought over 300 pounds weight of tiles. It has the range, price and quality that is available. If you can't find it here then I would not be surprised if it's not available! The prices are good. It's an experience of retail selling on the grandest scale! It's range covers the ultimate, medium and cheapest available. I bought the cheapest shed and it lasted a decade. The staff may not be able to share tips about what you purchase. Go online before you go, or find the comments of a trades person? Or when there, surf on your smartphone to help you.

Mark from the painting department was absolutely fantastic. He was so helpful and patient with me and made sure that I found everything that I needed. Thankyou Mark.
S. R.
Hubby had to buy decking screws and brackets, managed to spend quite a lot more tho! The work needs to be done whilst we've got the weather. BQ usually have what you need.
Just came back for some silicon spray for the car window. Looking for some ideas for a covered area. Good range and prices.
J. D.
Fast efficient helpful staff, clean and organized store and they had everything I needed in stock.
d. m.
Traveled up from Liverpool to buy 3 rolls of paper, there was supposed to be 5 left according to there website but on arrival they only had 1. But the assistant give me a big discount for my troubles.
A. G.
Very handy for grabbing bits and bobs on the way to a job, either using TradePoint or the B&Q tills, best time 7:00am to 7:30am when it's quiet, plus more staff free if you need any help
C. H.
Excellent product range and an extensive well organised stock presentation. I had to ask two staff members questions and both were very helpful and friendly. I easily found everything I needed. Thank you!
L.
Great place for all your home and garden project's! Anything you need from electrical items to painting necessities, to creating your perfect garden. Car park easily accessible and plenty of space. Staff helpful and friendly too. Prices moderate and have some good bargains throughout the year.
D.
We found what we wanted. If you look on the website as we did and it gives you the aisle number you need. But there are very helpful staff there. If you want help finding something they are happy to help you.
i. p.
Very good DIY store. Large car park, good size garden centre. Reasonable prices on most things.
R. O.
Always have what you need, sometimes a bit pricey for some items, but overall great store.
J. K.
Friendly staff sorted out stuff we needed to return and been good quality on kitchen that's been supplied so far
J. W.
Helpful member of staff and large store with good selection of items and well stocked. There are cheaper DIY shops however.
S. N.
Waited too long for some Valspar paint and then they didn’t have the base colour! Bit of a letdown.
B. B.
Not as cheap as other specialist stores.
Quite a few items out of stock or limited choices.
D. T.
It's just a B&Q really. It can be quite quiet though and it's always well stocked. It's rare they don't have what I need
L. J.
Verry big alot of products . Staff are ok some just don't seem like they want to help but others are amazing
A. K.
Love it. Always found what I was looking for. Every and any DIY project can be completed.
J. H.
Great place for plants and DIY needs. Just want to say a thank you to Thea at check out, she is so lovely and a credit to the store! 🙂
G. C.
Large DIY superstore, everything under one roof including the garden centre. Plenty of parking, good resource just off M65/M6 motorways
M. R.
I used the click & collect service. This was very well organised unlike other B&Q I've been too. Very friendly and helpful staff too. 5*
a. g.
Got just wot we needed, new laminated floor (9 packs) for lest than £250,
T. S.
Not to busy with plenty of room to move about in.
Had a nice selection of oak timber that I was needing, and now the tiles required for doing a wet room.
The staff are helpful as always.
S.
Plenty on offer but watch the prices on the shelves! They don't always match the item.
B. L.
Looking for kitchen unit handles, not much choice in size I wanted thought they were quite pricey.
L. B.
Well stocked except for 1 item. Staff very helpful. They have changed the way you return its now done at the till not the long wait at a service desk. It is quicker unless there is a problem with the receipt then it can get frustrating queuing to pay
A. G.
Compost at
B&Q has gone up extra £1-50 for 100 Lt from £11-00 and its all old stock don't buy
L. J.
Went to Preston because I couldn't get the chainsaw I wanted in BLACKPOOL, A good store.
K. P.
Very disappointed ,I wanted to buy some hanging baskets and bedding plants ,but they dint have much of choices the one's that they had were rather limb ,we will try Wickes or the B&Q in Chorley.
V. G.
Great customer service. Love the new self check out
S. R.
Well I wish I hadn't had to trail there when Blackpool is on my doorstep! Having said that people who delt with my purchase were very good. I just wish the website was easier to use and not take you to an out of town shop.
B.
Visited this shop 5/6 times this January already as we've been doing home improvements in our conservatory. Always has what we need in the shop. Pick and mix screws are a lifesaver as we weren't sure which size we'd definitely need.
T. D.
Good selection, friendly and helpful staff, accurate online stock.
R.
Best range of DIY products in the area. I needed m4 bar.
t. r.
Great place to shop loads of products friendly staff.
E. T.
I want to congratulate "gardening" John, who helped me today on a purchase. It's a long time since I have received service like that, he was so helpful and friendly, unlike some staff who just say "sorry, I don't know " rather than go and ask someone else.
Please pass on my thanks to him!
You need more employees like him!
V. B.
Such a huge store, very clean, bright and well stocked. The staff were very helpful and courteous and will certainly be going back.
A. H. C.
Looking for a good air con unit . This store had them in . Fantastic
K. S. (. M. K.
Went to get flooring tiles, bought BBQ coals there as well! Happy
H. C.
Excellent. Very organised. Very big but easy to find what you want. Staff very helpful. A bit of a flagship for B&Q.
D. T.
It's the first time I've been in here since lock down. Some people were in masks and some weren't. There was a sanitising station at the door but I noticed not a lot were using it.
Social distancing was still in place and I felt quite comfortable.
I was able to by the exact item I went in for so I was happy at that and as I went through the checkout there was a clear shield to keep the operator safe, although she wasn't wearing a mask. Over all a good experience.
M. M.
Amazing staff helped a lot Barry and Darren great staff friendly and help out a lot
J. D. V.
Very clean. Not many staff about to ask about things
K. M.
Excellent, literally everything you could possibly need for the home
S. K.
I would like to thank Tom and Paul, from the garden centre, for their outstanding customer service, offered to me, when I was purchasing three heavy hanging baskets and needed to arrange to have them picked up. They offered to store them for me, said, it as no trouble at all. Then when I had arranged transport offered to carry tohem out for me. All done with a smile and cheery manner. Thanks
Y. B.
Came in this morning as I needed to make a return to get a diffrent sized door as I had ordered the wrong one. The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful. David, Peter and a lovely lady on the returns counter (I didnt manage catch her name) were who served us and they all have fantastic customer service skills. Was a fast process and would deffinilty recommend
C. C.
Great choice of wallpaper and very helpful staff.
V. B.
Reasonable even though I had ordered via click and collect for a specific time and days in advance my order wasn't ready I got sincere apologies but it still took them nearly 20 minutes to get all of my stuff together insisting they have to scan jt because it's click and collect I stead of me just going and picking the order myself. The staff were friendly though and the bnq had a great selection of parking although some specifically for vans would be good if you're planning to hire a company that uses anpr etc things could get missed up with that then. For DIY users great for trade go to other chains or dedicated trade merchants.
j. j.
B&Q in Bamber Bridge is quite a large store with I guess just about every household and garden stuff you need, basically like all the stores big and small there all the same, but what I will add is the staff at this store are very friendly and helpful, they seem to know what there talking about when it comes to DIY, and if you ask for a particular item they can pinpoint the aisle that the item can be found, and there are a lot of aisle's, good training that, so yeah it's an ok store to visit.
Jake
B. P.
Helpful staff when looking for a replacement light bulb
A. J.
Great big store with so many lines of products for everything DIY and beyond. Gentlemen at till was amazing, so friendly and helpful, provided outstanding customer service wish I knew his name as he should be commended for his work (I visited on 17/12 at around 12noon and spent £630 with vouchers)
R. W.
One of the larger B & Q stores. Lots to see and buy. Staff very helpful.
M. E.
This is like the best shopping place for me, I visited 3 times, still want to go back. I think it is the most comprehensive home improvement store. However I was disappointed many times by lack of stock of many items on show. Staff can be a bit more helpful as well.
C.
Great store lots of stock on show.
A. C. (.
Very large store with good size car park. Tortuous car route in and out, surfacing needs attention too. Good selection of everything you need for diy, some damaged items on sale with no price reduction.
9.
Extremely helpful staff. Answered all my questions & kept us updated on delivery times.
D. S.
Normally I don't always have a great experience in b and q. However, Mark on the paint department was a breathe of fresh air. Absolutely tremendous traditional great service. We really knowledgeable and made what is a tough challenging and important decision really easy. I would want to give Mark some real recognition as it was brilliant service.
R. J.
Would have been perfect if they had been able to cut the length of 50mm plastic pipe that I had bought that was too long to go in my car. Had to buy a hacksaw and do it myself outside.
m. j.
I observed 2 employees telling a customer they no longer sell an item, even though it showed on the website and I saw them on the shelf myself 🤷♂️
a. j.
Mostly great staff but ruined by a few. Think its a shift manager called Tracy. Great big curly red hair and attitude too. Got told the grinder i bought through my trade card and through the trade counter is not fit for purpose. The grinder has a 2 yr guarantee?? It didn't even last the life of 1 blade. She refused to put anything in writing though
D. H.
Nice store with a large range. Was looking to buy electrical items and there was plenty to choose from. Was in the store in the evening and it was relatively quiet with two tills open which was ample for the amount of customers. Good choice in the range as well from the premium end to the economy end.
T. E.
Great experience today
Shout out to Lucy on the cake stall she was so friendly and welcoming to the store.
C. H.
A very large B&Q store with wide aisles and covid compliance. Some staff were overly helpful, while another member of staff saw me beckoning for assistance, they waved at me, then walked off. 👎
Good disability access into the store though I didn't access the WC facilities.
Got what I wanted but one item was out of stock.
L. P.
Everything you need for DIY. Plenty of parking. Helpful, polite staff
M. S.
Looked on internet and it said they had several in of what I needed, when we got there a friendly staff member pointed us in the correct direction. Only had 2 left so bought both. Great prices.
D. R.
Very helpful. The product we wanted , timber, was not in location. A member of staff got it from the storage area and loaded up a large trolley and took it straight to the till for us. Great service.
C. H.
No queue despite car park looking busy, store well managed and plenty of space to allow the 2 metre social distancing. We were offered a basket or trolley at the door (apparently this is one of the rules of being able to shop in there), straight to the paint we wanted and through the maze of arrows to get to the till. Lady at the end of the queue directing people to checkouts. Brilliant all round, keep up the hard work!
D. H.
Huge store with lots of variety of merchandise available for all to see. I found the staff very helpful and friendly. Basically if you cannot find what you are looking for here then I don't know where you could look. Very well set out and spacious store that seems to be observing the Covid19 restrictions rather well.
J. P.
Huge Warehouse style store, fairly indistinguishable from the other B&Q's I've been in. Given the massive variety of stuff it tends to be very convenient for a single stop shop, can be cheaper to find certain items online, although fairly competitive
G. R.
Clean and tidy, but a few items not in stock or limited, but that's due to the pandemic. Sanitiser and towels available at entrance and throughout the store, but another thing if people don't bother to use them..got what we came for👍👍
T. L.
Always enjoy going to the store. Very helpful staff and nicely displayed items. Needs a larger area for Christmas I think.
C. A.
Did a click and collect waited in a small que of 6 people and that was only for about 2 minutes.
Click and collect separate to the store, goods are ready once you received a text telling you to come to store for items, I was in and out in minutes.
Polite service and hand sanitizer at the door to use for everyone! Very well laid out with a person on the door giving advice if needed!
Definitely use again!
W. H.
A massive selection of decently priced products. This is a big branch and seems to have plenty of stock. Some of the staff are excellent and will go out of their way to help, brilliant, but others just can't be arsed. So it depends who you get to help you. Pot luck!
B. B.
Great example of a large B&Q store, friendly staff, amazing range of goods, only loses a star as items I was after were not in stock. In fairness that's not B&Q's fault, uoymay have noticed there's a pandemic and everything is a bit weird.
s.
Has alot of great items under one roof, love going here in the summer it's teaming with everything summer (obviously) but step back and appreciate how much work has gone into selling us a strawberry plant
Every store iv been too all staff are pretty much the same nothing is too big or small of an ask always happy to help
M. A.
Where else apart from the tip do middle aged men love to go?
The DIY store. And B&Q has a fantastic range of DIY stuff.
Personally I love the electrical bits. But generally there is something for everyone at this monster of a store.
J. D.
Travelled to this store from Blackpool as the tiles I wanted were out of stock. A bit of a treck but a great store with plenty of the stick I needed. I would certainly use again.
M. W.
Busy large DIY store
S. B.
Can be pricey, mich the same as any other b&q.
Large car park
Helpful staff
Garden centre
D. B.
Nice employees, good prices and selection of products
B. S.
It's big. If you want it, they have it all under one roof. Also very helpful and knowledgeable staff
E. A.
I love this b&q! Great customer service! I had a great experience here last week with an employee called Morrigan, she was really helpful and friendly! I needed help with a lot of stuff but nothing was to much for her! Thank you :-) xx
b. p.
I have had to make so many changes and had so many requests, i spoke to a lady called Lizzie and a guy called Jamie in the Kitchen department, there were nothing but helpful, i gave them a challenge and they dealt with my issue with a smile, they got the good delivered, i wanted to know what time the guys were coming so i spoke to a Lady from the Blackpool store Wendy, who was extremely helpful, as promised the delivery guys called before coming and told me what time to expect them, then something came up and i had a problem and they came to my rescue by delivering the goods to my home address rather than the address agreed. just great service all round and would use the services again.
S. B.
Lots of choice... Big store. Loads of parking. Dealt with Mark and Ebony today on the paint desk who were both very helpful. Marks knowledge was a real help. Highly recommended.
M. F.
Every time I go I find something new that I never knew they sold. I never leave empty handed out needing to fulfil my DIY requirements elsewhere. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
C. G.
Good stock of a huge range of products. though layout and positioning of some items seems a bit chaotic. Floor staff to ask seem a bit thin on the ground. Once you find someone usual high standard of service and of course B&Q quality guarantee.
C. R.
**Lockdown edition review**
Went in for what I deemed some 'essential' goods, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well organised they had the store layout and their staff. I'd expect this every time from a supermarket considering the staff numbers and the fact that they have made a killing from this whole pandemic, but I didn't really expect it from B&Q.
The staff were also helpful and friendly too, not just being robotic like in their instructions, which I have come across too often in the last few months.
Just a shame they didn't have all what I went in for - stick of fence paint had been virtually depleted.
A nice, relaxing experience though, so thank you 😊
p. w.
Large branch with all you need for your DIY adventures, you can find items at a cheaper price but may have to wait to get them.
S. F.
Easy parking, no queues to get in or at the tills. Went there as my local B&Q (Blackpool) did not have enough stock of a product I wanted and informed me that Preston did have. Good customer service from my local one.
J. D.
Everything in place markers, arrows, hand gel and wipes.
Yet so easy to cross each other, though what can one expect with everything going on.
I had a gripe today and wasn’t really happy.
I searched on line for something electrical, there were 5 in stock in Preston so I travelled from Wigan to pick 2 up
Unfortunately there were none !
I was told the possibility they had been stolen and they would update their records immediately!!
The store representative was very polite though agreed about a wasted journey!!
J. H.
Second trip wasted due to website saying items were in stock (18 quantity) but the reality being there were none, confirmed by staff. I realise times are difficult at the moment but they need to work out a decent stock take. Gave it 3 stars because the staff at least are helpful.
J. D.
I normally get everything I need at B&Q but they had very little in the way of plasterboard fixings with the whole section having empty hooks. They didn't know when they would get anymore. Disappointing.
D. J.
Due to moving home spent a lot of time at this B&Q. All the staff seem very polite and helpful but Marc (from the paint desk) is an absolute star. Excellent service, great manner and a credit to B&Q
E. C.
Helpful friendly staff, no queues. We visited the garden centre , fantastic selection of plants at excellent prices, some beautiful hanging baskets too. Also quite a few plants on sale too, bargain!
L. L.
Very friendly, well stocked B and Q
K. M.
Nice and tidy staff helpful
D. M.
One of the Larger B&Q stores, with lots of floor space and all the usual departments for plumbing / electrical and building supplies etc.
New range of ready built cabinets for new kitchen design with a good choice of work tops, some nice kitchen and bathroom full size displays. A good well stocked garden centre.
Small in store café for a brew and butty.
J. M.
Well set out store, very helpful staff. Great A+
R. D.
Nice range of products stocked. Fast, easy checkout with a hybrid self service type system.
L. M.
Didn't get what we wanted, but it's a great place to mooch if you like DIY. You don't get pestered by staff, but they're helpful if you need them
G. W. C.
Great range of everything for inside and outside your house. Today was even better because my mum got me 10% off..Only gripe today was shower doors (for over bath)..Ridiculous place to have them on display, far too high and only one screen was labelled the rest had no numbers on them. When i eventually got a member of staff to come he said they don't stock that door..What a joke if they are on display they should be stocked. I told the guy about the no labelling and too high..May as well have spoken to myself, not interested..you pal need retraining for customer service..
R. Q.
Awesome selection of absolutely everything! They've alo got some beautiful outdoor furniture that I've got my eye on.
M. A.
Lots of variety of products here and you can usually find everything you need. Staff are usually very helpful although only three stars as it can be quite pricy for basic items when there is no need.
Also lost a star as on my last visit I was in the plumbing aisle to get some elbow joints and was asked three times if I needed any help by one member of staff. As a young blonde woman I may look out of place there but I can assure you I knew what I was doing. There were several other males customers on the aisle who didn't receive the offer which would have been best directed towards the gentleman who was trying to work out if he needed a new flush mechanism or a ball cock replacement.
D. W.
Spacious bnq. It's got everything for diy
M.
Luckily the wait to get in was small. Once inside you see how much effort has been made to keep everyone as safe as possible. Was able to buy everything I went for, albeit not the cheapest on the market, but did buy and felt safe. Now I can get on with my projects.
J. D.
Minimal staff at this time, so you'd best know what you need. Lots of shoppers without masks :-( no queuing though so that's good. It's best to only go if you really need to see something in person otherwise just Amazon or Ebay it
J. T.
All staff doing an excellent job in these worrying times. A staff member called Dean went out of his way to help us find the correct product, very pleasant and extremely polite, first class service.
K.
Very helpful staff in tile dept and on the tile
D. M.
Just collected a number of pre ordered items from the Preston store. Anne at the Customer Service desk was very helpful, friendly and professional as was Paul who loaded the heavy items into my vehicle. Thank you all very much for excellent customer service, it is always a pleasure to use B&Q Preston.
C. B.
Got the usual b and q items sum staff are helpful sum try to be but don't actually know in the radiator section, clean store, toilets aren't open yet but other shops in the area have there's open
O. S.
Great section of fence paint. It took my wife so long to choose a colour it was raining by the time we got home so I completely swerved doing the painting bit of my to-do list!
W.
Decent selection of items and most of the staff are friendly. Good selection of garden plants and tools etc. They have everything you need to decorate with competitive prices. Loads of parking spaces!
R. A.
Great parking, well laid out lots of stock.
F. B.
Everything you need except staff. Previously there were lots of staff out and about on the shop floor but today not a one could be found to help until you got to the tills. Otherwise still the same good old b&q
j. s.
Got what we went in for , well stocked store
k. p.
I had seen the Meavea rattan coffee set on display and wanted to purchase it. However it was not in stock. Originally I have my details to a member of staff who said he was expecting some in but couldn’t say when. Over the next week or so I kept checking (phoning and online) but no stock came in. I rang other stores to be given the same information. As I have an NHS card, I wanted to accept the offer of the 10% discount on such a large purchase. However there is no facility to do this online. (These reasons are why I have only given 4 stars not 5) I had almost given up when I thought I would have one last try at Bamber Bridge. I spoke to a guy called Connor who turned out to be an absolute star. He liaised with a manager to try and order in store for me but unfortunately the .com came up with ‘unavailable to order’. This was most disappointing as I now had my hopes up and heart even more set on purchasing the furniture. Connor went above and beyond and showed excellent customer service skills. He took my details and said he would see if he could source the set at another store for me. Sure enough, the following day, he rang me to say he had found one in Stockport. I was over the moon and duly went to collect it. It’s now looking fabulous in my garden! 😁
Having worked previously in retail management and been in charge of customer service, I would say that Connor definitely went the extra mile. His perseverance to find what I was looking for paid off and I am very grateful. Even if I hadn’t managed to get the set, I would still have given him good feedback because I feel he did all he could and went out of his way to help me. Thank you Connor! You are a star! (if I could rate the store and Connor separately I would , Connor would have 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟)
C. C.
Went to buy some garden furnitue and wasnt sure what i needed Leanne was very helpfull and friendly she is a credit to B&Q thank you Leanne
J. W.
Love visiting the large retail outlets, many varied products to choose from, staff helpful and reasonable prices, such a better experience to be able to handle goods and be tactile as opposed to on line push button remote shopping!! Thats just a banal function.
S. G.
Great variety and excellent parking.
M. T.
Shame they got rid of the cafeteria although I can understand it with COVID, good place nice staff and decent selection in stock definitely worth a look if you’re looking for any supplies for your DIY projects.
A. R.
Came into the store today 12/10/18 round about 13:30 to buy a pair of hedge clippers but the one I wanted was out of stock. One member of staff was not very helpful when I ask if they had any in stock or when they would be getting them back in stock. So I went to customer service desk. The two girls there where great, they where so helpful they got me one from an other store within a couple of hours. I picked up the hedge clippers at 20:00. Thank you to the two girls for sorting out this for me.
C. B.
Plenty of choice and good range
G. S.
Love a trip to b&q, always find what I need and usually at a bargain price! I look online too but its always worth going in store as the staff are super helpful and there's usually some great and useful stuff on sale!
J. S.
Helpful friendly staff and well stocked shelves. May be a little pricier than online but at least you can see before you buy.
B. H.
Massive store, great, huge choice of products. Just put some things in obscure places. Also out of stock on majority of bedroom/home furniture.
S. P.
Needed to exchange an item and collect a missing piece for something I bought.
The exchange with staff was quick and painless. They were very helpful.
P. B.
Mahoosive store with everything you wany for DIY projects.
P. W.
Typical large retail store.
Staff are friendly.
Even having a trade account with them. I still get no extra benefits or discount.
But that's more to do with corporate management from. Head office than in store
D. H.
Very good, have a good look round,
M. R.
Definitely improvements have been made. However not so keen on the way things are returned at the main checkout.. holds up the queue 😬
P. C.
Really helpful staff. Gave us great designs for our kitchen and bathroom. Even rang us to tell us about upcoming sale that saved us £200 on our original bathroom quote.
F. D. S.
Always happy with the staff. Ready to help any time and for everything you need. Nice garden centre
M. H.
Went for bedding plants and slightly disappointed with the choice available, the selection of other plants was far greater.
I. N.
Not the most competitive on price but good if you need something in a rush after 5:30
C. W.
The staff were helpful but the shop was way to busy it was impossible to social distance and there was definitely non essential shopping going on with some large families too.
M. B.
Got what we wanted and well organized outside and inside the store
A. M.
Lots of choice, with few lines out of stock. The only real issue is that aisles aren't wide enough for appropriate social distancing, so masks are an absolute must (when people can be bothered to wear them!)
C. D.
Had more than the Blackburn store
C. A.
They sell a variety of stuff. The garden section is my favourite
C. P.
Lots of items to choose from. Large garden centre and DIY department.
A. O.
Got exactly the fire I wanted at a good price. Staff were very helpful
J. A.
No problems with store but descriptive issue with app. I wanted clear anti mould bathroom sealant 300ml cartridge. Ordered Unibond speed clear, as described in the app. What has been provided is Unibond speed Translucent. The barcode matches that in the order and as shown in the app, so this has been picked correctly. So closer look at the picture in the app and that product in the picture is labelled translucent! So the description is incorrect. I'll be using this stuff so hopefully not too different ....
D. H. (.
👌
D. B.
Large and spacious, feels covid safe. There is a QR code at the door, for logging in on the covid app. Stock is wide ranging so you should be able to find what you need.
.
D. J.
Well organised store, gardening to the far left, building materials to the far right. The discount section isn't usually worth visiting as the discounts are either very small or its absolute rubbish. Watch out for the clearance bins dotted around the store, these tend to have some real bargains.
D.
A good B&Q, a bit erratic on stock sometimes but generally a wide choice available. Helpful staff and someone on the entrance door to give you a wiped down trolley if you need one
I. D.
There are some great bargains to be had here especially at the end of seasons when they are selling stock off. You are wowed with the super size of the place and the staff are helpful if you need to know where stuff is. You can get any colour paint you want and have your own colour match mixed. You can order on line and collect later. Best to have a club card registered to your email to get news and vouchers. There is a Cafe and toilets, the garden center is large and great in summer for plants. Huge car park, easy to get to, supermarket, restaurants and Argos accross the road, close to motorway junctions, what's not to like! Can get buisy at times with queuing at the till.
J. B.
Product was in aisle that was stated on line, albeit hidden at the back. This made for quick and easy purchase. And in this instance it was cheaper than other on line offering by £10.
S. J.
Had everything I needed, friendly staff easy checkout
P. O.
Everything u need but too big
A. B.
Looking for tools grandkids can use, managed to find what we wanted. Looking also for offcuts of wood very helpful staff pointed out the free cut off bins. Just perfect for what we need
J. N.
The staff are great but some of the customers are idiots with no concept of Covid 19 rules. Enter the store with caution as the living dead roam within.
p. s.
Staff on hand at entrance to ensure social distancing observed to enter store. Clear markings on floor & around store to ensure social distancing. Still able to access all the stock as usual.
S. J.
Can't fault the staff in this store. They went above and beyond to help me find a part for a sliding door which was no longer in stock. In the end they found a solution and charged me nothing. Incredible.
P. W.
Usual B&Q experience, out of stock on a lot of items, all wood seriously warped! Service at paint desk was good. Possibly the most frustrating retailer ever.
N. R.
I would like to thank Callum for all his help getting us some laminate flooring that was out of stock in our home store in Blackpool. He made sure it all went smooth for the pick up can’t thank him enough!
t.
It's a great place to shop for all your DIY projects in and around your home and garden
J. R.
Instore help was good in locating the items I wanted, but dissappointed that when I asked at customer services about using a mastercard giftcard I was told they were accepted , only to be told at checkout that I could not use it. A bit embarrasing when I then had to give back one of the items as I had not my wallet with me as I had only put the gift cards in my pocket.
A. C.
Plenty of parking available,
Store nice and clean and staff very friendly.
A. M.
Massive amount of choice right for you but quite expensive. Needed a sink plunger and saw it was £9. Searched on my phone whilst in there and found ScrewFix had the same one for £3 and was less than 10 minutes away. Needless to say, it's always nice to have a sizable B&Q on your doorstep
D. M.
Went in with the other half, yep big store depends what your looking for, good selection of wallpaper that's what we had gone in for happy with my purchase 🙂
R. S.
Great store just off the motorway with loads of parking and tonnes of ideas
R. L.
Lots of great stuff for indoors and outdoors at a fair price great outdoor area with plants and other garden stuff plenty of parking spaces as well
Y. S.
Was ok only problem was we went for wood .no cutting facilities but it still advertises on web site that there is x had to cut it ourselfs so that we could get it in car . Lady at checkout was very nice .
S. S.
Good selection of goods.A bit on the pricey side,I was disappointed with the paint mixing section,I wanted a paint mixing to the same as one I bought from there previously, absolutely rubbish ,really bad match
C. M.
Got everything I need at a reasonable price
W. B.
Major store with everything you could imagine for your DIY needs. If you're a professional then the store also benefits from having a trade department. All bases covered.
k. j.
Good for diy bits
J. S.
Normaly a good diy store, but a lot of shortages of stock today, obviously not there fault at this time. Couldn't get a few items I wanted today.
R. J.
Love a trip to B&Q. Got us some garden chairs to chill out in the garden and added some plants to the garden as well.
Loads of choices to be found here.
D. o.
The staff were very very helpful we went to measure up for a shower cubicle and Michelle one of the assistants couldn't do enough for us she was very polite very efficient and very good I would recommend anyone going back
A. S.
Large store with a wide range of products, including a trade counter and garden centre. Friendly staff, excellent parking facilities, and very close to other shops, mao. Roads and motorways connections.
n. p.
Family friendly store the staff are always keen to help and they do a good selection of d.i.y tools and paint colours only thing that slightly lets it down is the garden center area which doesn't have a great selection of plants but all round a very good store
S. B.
Just your usual B&Q, good choice of products, very friendly, helpful staff.
M. D.
I don't mind B and Q apart from the price which is always high compared to builders yards.
The staff here were friendly and helpful and the product range good. Will use it if unable to get to my usual supplier.
A. B.
This place is huge I'd bring your sandwiches and comfy shoes looking around here you can get your 10, 000 steps in here
M. R.
Great store! Wonderfully presented and some lovely staff. Everyone is doing a fantastic job in very difficult times. 😷
m. d.
Good store wide range of products available across all sectors and good service from all the staff.
A. C.
It's ok, I only picked some stuff up from a click and collect order, so maybe not a fair assessment on this visit. Hey it's B&Q it should be fine.
A.
I bought an electric fire but couldn't get it to talk to the remote, took it back and after asking to see the manager and seeing him they agreed to try it out, thank you Ben for that, fire now in place and talking to the remote.
M. W.
Good clean store with plenty of tills open, was in and out with what I needed in record time .
N. B.
So helpful in Preston B & Q, not least staff at the paint counter and a member of staff outside with a high vis jacket helped me with heavy pots, lifting them into the car for me. Everyone switched on today.
G. H.
Hard to get excited by a DIY store but the Bamber Bridge Store is a real gem of that ilk. However, the staff are always only too pleased to help or guide. Which is unusual for DIY stores. A good range and a big nod to the Trade Point guys too.
r. r.
B & Q have gone expensive since re fits change of stock etc, I went to buy a pair of boots @ £60 but went to sister company screw fix same boots £49, better in my pocket £11, in general quite a lot of things have crept up in price. No more Wednesday discount, you have to spend over £250 in the month to get 5% discount,
N. M.
OK.. More stuff on than blackpool
C. S.
Thank you Lisa who solved the problem we had ordering doors. First class service. Don't know about the store but she earned five stars today.
L. W.
Good range of products staff happy to help which is needed as its not easy to navigate lots of variety not always the best value as we have found items cheaper elsewhere
B. G.
Very nice clean place and staff on check outs very helpful and pleasant
S. B.
Better than homebase and Wickes. Much cheaper and much higher quality. I had to get some concrete and sub base. Cheap, affordable and high quality
F. A.
Nice big store, good variety of bedding plants. Nice and clean. Always get what we need
M. M.
Absolute Gem of a Guy called Roger that helped us on the mixing paint section.B & Q you are truly blessed having this chap as a member of your very friendly team.
L. W.
Awkward in some parts, no signage of aisles shut but even with restrictions and one LONG queue for checkouts still a fairly quick trip
S.
The lady who served me at customer services was absolutely lovely (it was only a visit for a click & collect thing), but another lady behind the counter wasn't wearing her mask properly, which was a bit worrying...
I. M.
Went to buy paint and the gentleman behind the counter was very helpful and we left with more knowledge about paint than we came in with.
M. H.
Good variety of stock. Good prices.Good knowledge of stock by helpful staff
H. N.
Wow! The biggest B&Q I've ever seen,, couldn't find what we wanted in local branches so went to Bamber Bridge store, click n collect, great service, in and out in 5mins , well worth a visit
K. “. T.
Great visit lots to buy and generally have loads of stock of things you want
M. M.
This place is quite wondrous. I bought some plant pots and they were superb.
K. W.
Covid restrictions are spoiling the shopping experience. Used to love B&Q shopping but no just nip in get what I nee and get out quickly.
A.
Very difficult to find staff to help these days.
D. R.
Always get what I need. Toilets are closed until further notice and it's a bit expensive for some things, but overall a good store.
G. W.
Very pleasant & git what I needed but customer services need to get to know their store better as sent me in the opposite direction of where the product is needed where?
K. w.
Well I went to b&q in bamber bridge today to pick up an internal door not knowing if it would fit in my car , I asked a member of staff called Kyle about how much it was to have it delivered and it was more than the door cost , but Kyle wasn't deterred and said to me well let's get it outside and see if it fits , he generously loaded it into my trolley and with a few adjustments in my car we got it in , went back in and Kyle helped me sort out payment , what an absolutely amazing guy he is , he didn't need to go out of his way for me but he went above and beyond and just thought everyone should know that he did b&q proud and would definitely be returning for my diy needs thankyou so much Kyle
R. T.
Have used the garden section several times in the last.fortnight what a difference use to struggle to find help, then, staff were surly and unhelpful,I am 80 years old can't really lift anything now you have a lovely young man called Simon can't do enough to help you i came for 3 lots of 8 bags of bark this morning helped with a smile all the time loaded on trolley for me took me through, checkout servedby a lovely smiling girl called Rebecca then simon loaded them in the car for me that, kind of treatment would make me shop at B@Q anytime
B. G.

l. o.
Friendly staff. Always very helpful, the shop is clean and well stocked.
A. W.
Used for click and collect order. Very helpful staff
D. S.
Good choice but unimpressed with the staff member that didn't bother listening to what I was asking so gave me a half useful answer.
a. t.
I wanted something very specific that I couldn't get anywhere. Band Q had something very similar that I could modify. Staff very polite
K. B.
Had everything i needed,in and out, staff very helpfull.
D. W.
Only been in a couple of times but the staff seem very helpful and friendly.
J. S.
Really helpful staff, its a good store. I quite often go just for look around, and always come home with something.
C. E.
Bought 12 packs of laminate floor from barber bridge. Took them all off the same pallett - when we started laying them that night, only 1 was correct. We returned the other 11 to b&q Chorley and swapped them. Started laying them and this time 10 were right. Had to return a third time to Chorley to swap the last one. Each time, these were new pallets that had come straight to the shop floor. Very inconveniencing when you're trying to get jobs completed. At both stores the staff were very polite and the young man who served us at Chorley was very apologetic.
A. M. (.
I liked anyone who worked in this store. Feels like they have been born to work there!! No more words needed!!
S. R.
The best DIY store for miles around, great selection and excellent service and advice.
G. P.
Always handy to visit.
D. R.
Convenient store for easy access to DIY goods, trade fixtures and fittings but overpriced for certain materials.
J. H.
Staff were very helpful in the trade point
E. T.
Love B&Q and love this store! Only wish they could make their on line search a bit more user friendly as it's a bit random with the results. Good overall though.
P. C.
Just called in at lunch time to get a few ideas for future DIY. Pretty quiet.
C. S.
As its one of the warehouse stores it has plenty of products. There will be something available for every job you are doing. They staff can be a bit relaxed at the tills though.
E. J.
I went to pick up some paving sand and was directed to the building section by one of the friendly staff will definitely be going back if I need anything else
R. H.
Get most DIY things here at a slightly higher price than elsewhere but handy as a one stop for all.
S. Z.
Friendly hardworking staff.
P. W.
Generally well priced but you can pay through the nose for small items like a bag of screws, often a fraction of the price in a builders merchants
J. H.
Easy access from were i live. A good choice of tiles for my kitchen which i went for. Reasonable prices too.
E. N.
It's a long walk round, huge inside, staff are always busy, don't get time to help customers most of the time,u end up asking one of the cleaners where things are and they are always happy to try to help u
h. c.
got a faulty fan from bandq lt very nearly caused a bad accident took it back and told the manager who dident seem to realey care he said he would send it away to have it checked two week has past and still waiting for a result maybe the store will close then they wont need to bother if this is how you treat a regular customer then maybe the store should close but i hope it dose not thank you mr carroll
C. B.
Poor layout of store and staff unhelpful and rude
i. d.

M. T.
Expensive, staff too busy to give much help.

Great store, you can find whatever you want there, i went to shop for my garden and I got whatever i needed.
J. B.
B&Q is a good place to visit and has a good range of items to buy. Only thing is that we have who have a saver card cannot get money nocked off on Wednesday only off gardening products
R. W.
Huge. Neat and tidy store with everything you need. Just a bit of a walk to find it.
A. P.
It seems to have improved over the past couple of years, better staffing for one. Could be better but at least it's open!
J. L.
Great experience here yesterday. Got some paint made and some wood cut. Very helpful staff.
L. B.
Went for some compost and came away with some lovely plants, great choice and well cared for

G. F.

C. W.
It was very busy during the time I visited the branch. Saturday around 1-2pm so be prepared to keep the social distance and queue in the checkout.
K. S.

J. H.
Very helpful staff, got everything I needed to decorate my hallway.
P. H.
Good, friendly staff and loads of choices as you would expect from B and Q.

Lots of choice. Competitive pricing. Only criticism would be staff availability when advice is needed.
D. A.
Good shop, plenty of deals on, I hold a trade point card so get a little extra off, good helpful staff and good quality products
M. S.
Big store with plenty stock to look and pick from. Friendly customer service. Quick tills. Good parking space

The store was quite empty which makes social distancing so much easier and sold out for a lot of things.
J. S.
Typical DIY store and currently running new year offers.
M. H.
Very clean and tidy, staff polite and helpful. Found what I went for very easily.
R. S.
Good size store, plenty of product choice. Not very well stocked in certain areas.
I. T.
I hate to have a mask in shops where you are miles apart. 😀 The shop didn't have all I want stuff but hey ho. Sorted out somehow.
D. A.
Quite a few shelves empty, was looking for kitchen tile paint which i bought 2 years ago but there wasn't any on 2 visits
D. G.
Was fine. Not too restrictive. Gave good discount, even without asking! Brilliant !
B. B.
Huge store with extensive stock. Good parking and excellent Covid precautions.

D. A.
Returned unwanted light , no hassle no quibble one very satisfied customer. 10/10
c. n.
Not accurate information about stock on website. I went 3 times for an item that on line showed they had 4 in stock only to find out they had none.
N. R.
Ordered gravel online and collected fro the store however when home and opened the gravel it was nothing like the picture or description, so have to return all 5 bags, the staff seemed totally uninterested that the description and pictures were different to the actual product they were selling, got a refund and went elsewhere
A. H.
Always check prices with screwfix first. It's the same company but there is often a huge price difference!
M. B.
Not a bad place, I just look for bargains because in the main it's over priced. Helpful for bits you need on a Sunday afternoon mind!
K. H.
Very good social distancing in place great range of products and services with advisors on hand to be able to assist with ad hoc enquiries
F. F. R.
WIGGITY WOO, WENT IN FOR A NUMBER 2.

A. W.
Big shed. Soulless.
Didn't have what I had journeyed there for.
Covid OK
Some ridiculous high prices, a few little bargains
C. R.
Got a new outside light with pir for the back garden. Good value at £23
N. P.
Great click & collect policy. Great products, very happy bunny 🐰
N. S.
Difficult to get around with the one way system. Takes a lot longer to get in and out. Not a complaint, more an observation.
Z. E.
Always get a strange feeling of being alone here. You get what you need and prices are bearable, but it's not a great experience.
R. A.
This store is a B&Q warehouse and a larger one at that. There's something for everyone although it can get busy and the staff are sometimes hard to find, leaving you to use the sometimes frustrating self service checkouts.
