Recently purchased a Husqvarna 415x from Carters of Swanwick and throughout the entire buying process we were expertly advised by James Glasper - Hassell, their Commercial Sales Manager, as to the most suitable model for our size of lawn. Delivery and installation of the boundary wire took no more than a couple of hours and we can now sit back and watch as the mower makes its way around the lawn. Easy to operate and keep an eye on it using the app on a smartphone meaning we can now go away to visit family and friends without worrying about what state the lawn will be in upon our return. Thoroughly recommend both the product and the service from Carters of Swanwick, thank you!

I have purchased a Husqvarna automower from Carters 4 years ago including installation. The automower has exceeded my expectations, we have a very large garden and the mower (now called Doombar) saves me 2 hours a week plus I no longer have a mountain of grass cuttings to take to the tip. The mower has never needed a service, I give it a quick brush down once a month and change the blades three times a year (new blades cost pennies). I have accidently cut through the underground border wire a couple of times, but it's easy to find the break and a quick snap-on waterproof connector fixes any break within minutes. Our garden is approx 3/4 acre and has a large patio island with a few trees and a couple of manhole covers .. all no problem for the automower to navigate around. Every visitor to our house comments on our garden and of course Doombar becomes a focal point in the garden. It's been a great buy and with almost no runnings costs has been excellent value for money. PS Doombar is what I'm hopefully drinking while the automower cuts my grass.

Popped into Carters of Swanwick to purchase some chainsaw clothing and strimmer line. I was served by a young man called Jason. His knowledge was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble. Very honest advice and no hard sales. A large section of spare parts and consumables in stock. Thank you!

Recently used Carters for spare parts and then to buy a new chainsaw, after having rung around other garden machinery stores. What has made Carters stand out is their "can do " attitude. They knew exactly the spare part I wanted without the faff of bringing in the machine or being told I would not be able to replace the part myself, it was not in stock but was available next day. When I rang to enquire about a new chainsaw they had the one I wanted in stock and had it ready to go when I called the same afternoon. Excellent service and they were the cheapest by far of all the local dealers - would thorughly recommend Carters

OK, nothing to do with mowers and stuff. This is one of my local UPS collection and drop off points. I raced through awful traffic on Friday to get to them by closing time and got there with less than one minute to spare. They were locking up and I thought I had missed my parcel but I asked through the door and the guy honestly couldn’t have been more helpful. Got my parcel and was inspired to write this review by someone going beyond the normal and being decent and helpful. Top work Carters!

We were looking for a robust heavy duty mower which had to tick several boxes. Carters gave us extensive information on our options and allowed us to test drive the different types of mower. The model we chose was not in stock but they bent over backwards to find one and deliver it to us and we are very happy with it. All boxes ticked. Excellent product knowledge and customer service. Great service. Took my chain saw in for repair and was told that they do not work on that make of saw because they can not get parts for it. I explained to the chap what the problem was and he told what to do that might solve the problem and it did. Good honest service. I will use them again.

New update my lawnmower could not be repaired as they could not get the parts,so the outcome was I bought a new mower, battery operated and it is marvellous. After enquiry by me and exchange of e mails i purchased a new Husqvarna mower which had been demonstrated at my home by Steve in clear, painstaking and courteous manner with no "hard sale". I would thoroughly recommend this company.

Being new to the area and now having a larger garden we were in need of help! Leaves galore, hedges to cut and grass to mow. I was advised by my newly acquainted neighbours to visit Carters “as they carry everything you could ever want to maintain a garden”. Well Mr Manton you weren’t wrong. Greeted in a warm well stocked showroom, given a coffee and sat down to discuss our requirements. We were never asked what we wanted to spend, which I found very refreshing. Once our requirements were established we were shown a choice of product with all the pros and cons explained on each machine. We ended up at the battery section which I immediately thought would be the most expensive option. How wrong was I! We ended up with an Ego 20” mower complete with battery and charger, we then purchased the Ego hedge cutter that takes the same battery as the mower, so no need for another battery and we were given a free Ego strimmer. We never ever really considered cordless as an alternative to petrol thinking it would be expensive and gutless in comparison. I can mow my lawn for 40 minutes, take the battery out slot it in the strimmer and tidy up the edges and outside verge. I was so impressed I went back during the week and purchased an Ego blower for my leaf problem. It was pointed out to me that if I had purchased petrol I would have had 4 engines to maintain and service, petrol to mix with oil and I was also told petrol has a very short shelf life. Thank you Carters for taking the time, giving us a choice and letting us decide what was right for our garden needs. Next move an electric car!

Carters have an outstanding range of garden machinery and tools. They also stock a comprehensive range of spare parts for just about Any garden equipment. In the past I have purchased a stihl long reach hedge trimmer from them. They have very knowledgable and helpful staff. Their pricing is is not always competitive so you need to shop around. My only real complaint is that I got a very nasty shock when I got the Final bill for the repair of my Husqvarna 262 chainsaw - which died 13 months later after very little use.

When buying a law mower it's important to get expert advice regarding the nature of ones site such as to whether among other things a 'sit out front' machine or a sit on tractor is best. Not wise to just surf the net then click & buy what you think will suffice. I rang Carters & Paul Tanner came out to see my site which is a mix of sloping meadow & flat lawn area. He's very knowledgable. Such as what's made where & who owns which companies & which machines are genuinely good quality & what type of construction. Such as whether a fabricated mowing deck, cast iron axles etc. Without his advice I could easily have brought something unsuitable or simply not up to the job. In the end I opted for a Simplicity Conquest tractor mower with traction control & lockable diff, so nice for the slope However on the 1st day of use in very long grass I ploughed into a large unseen large mole hill which broke the blades drive belt. So I rang Carters & Paul came out right away from Swanwick to Ashlett to pick my machine up & he brought it back later that day with a new belt fitted at no charge. So excellent after sales service too.
