I frequently shop in Wickes for DIY materials. They have a good range at reasonable prices. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. But yesterday at the Swindon branch the tile display was a muddled mess!

Just bought a strimmer, 5 bags of gravel, a seat and 24 log edging rolls with ease. I was helped by the nicest checkout lady plus another lady and a gentleman colleague who helped me load the trolley and then reload into the car. What lovely staff who went well above the hoped for help. It made for a great shopping experience and I got more than I went in for! Very pleased with the goods.

The store is looking very tired. Both the store and car park could do with an upgrade. Parking is free and there is plenty available. The store inside seems a bit bare and it's normally quite cold inside. Staff are always friendly and I can normally find someone to help me out when I have any questions. All in all, just ok.

Not to busy considering it was a Bank Holiday, the timber stock was very low. So had to change my design in my head which was interesting but had what I needed once I was confident I had the right design. Very helpful staff and friendly to.

It was good looking around for items we needed. Some of the pricing was missing or hard to find for one item as alot of things are multi packs. But! When we went to pay the que was the length of the shop. That was a long que. So we put our items back and go another day. Positive note. We do like wicks🌞

It's good for building supplies, ie timber, cerment etc... The kitchens are not bad, you get what you pay for. A few of the staff aren't very friendly or helpful, there is one in particular that is very rude. 10% off for trade is a bonus. I will say the tool range is pretty poor with not alot of selection.

There Click n Collect service has been exceptionally efficient and responsive as well as their stock management indications on their website during the lock down period unlike another well known DIY store that's been a shambles all the way through.

My husband and I are not DIY orientated but recently we have had a number of projects around the house that needed more then just a bog standard Bosh drill and screws. They have a great range of tools and little bits like screws, drills, washers and electrics. I am also a gardener and found a brilliant range of professional tools. Ignore the generic garden center tools at the back. Go by the drill sets to find the really good stuff! I bought my Bulldog spades and a Mattock that have been invaluable to me. Monty Don uses Bulldog and I can see why!

There's always what need for the job. Whenever nature tells you your fence needs replacing, just use a Wicks concrete stud to repair your fence post. Tip: bolt the stud to the fence post. Then, supporting it exactly vertical, concrete it in the hole. This ensures your fence is perfectly square.

Can get most stuff I need here at a reasonable price just a Shane they charge £30 for delivery where Jewsons only charge £5 so guess where I don't get my sheet materials from. Need to keep up with your competitors to keep customers coming through the door.

Good shop to get supplies, bought a scurffs jacket today and as I got to the till I noticed it was very dusty and had dirt on it from the shelf it was on. 🤷‍♂️

I have always found their prices reasonable and the staff very helpful. I have o a few occasions found the item I wanted to be the ladt one in stock and not at its best but Wickes have given me a very good discount on such occasions and so long as the item was of use to me purchased it very cheaply. I much prefer Wickex to B & Q.

I used this Wickes a fair amount and is what you can expect. I have been there a few times for waste/soil pipes and those sections are always in a mess and in the past I've found items in stock online are missing in-store. Like with everywhere these days you need to shop around, e.g. £55 for 2.4x1.2 100mm Kingspan is a bit steep considering their buying power!

Ok for a "man's" shop! Not female or family friendly at all yes I know technically it's a building merchants but more non building people go in there now than not!and wives are dragged along and most women do help in choosing the decor ect in the house!! Really like Wickes, process tend to be a bit lower than the bigger name stores, this is in the crossover land between trade and serious DIY, but still worth visiting first of you're not so serious on DIY, but doesn't go in for the stuff like soft furnishings that the biggest names do, Screwfix is just around the corner too!

I've found the wood here to be cheaper than B&Q, but if you want tools you're better going to somewhere like B&Q - I'd say Wickes is more of a builders merchant, you need to know what you are after, i.e.. "Does what it says on the tin" - no nonsense.

Ordered a wheelbarrow for collection, when collected realised it wouldn’t fit in the car. With the help of Stefan who went out of his way to dismental the wheel barrow so it would fit in the car. Lovely and cherry helpful gentleman.
