Really surprised by Wilko. Always seems to be the shop with no identity - you’ll never go in here for anything specific, quite like B&M really. However saying that, I went in a few weeks ago for garden stuff and they had some CRACKING deals. Plant pots that would have been £40+ at a garden centre were £6.50. Plenty of garden seat pads, cleaning stuff, even dog treats. Walked out with my hands full of stuff, and the cashier on the till was lovely.

Excellent visit today with good choice, availability and value. I only went in to change my paint for a different colour, but ended up buying so much I couldn't carry it all! However Breeda, on checkout, was super helpful with my exchange and also arranged to store some of my shopping until I returned.

Price at checkout was £1 more than price on shelf. Person checkout seemed to disbelieve me. In the end what should have been a 2 minute transaction took about 5 minutes with the person saying I have had enough today as though it was my fault that the price was wrong on their system or I should pay £9 for an £8 item ( this item not only had one label it was on the end of the line as it was on offer and further down the line with promotional label, 6 different price labels but she even questioned the assistant who I took to show the price was wrong)

First time in this branch of Wilkos, liked the layout and aisles were a good width. Shelves were well stocked, a good variety of products at a reasonable price. Staff seemed friendly & helpful. Would certainly recommend and will definitely visit there again 🙂👍

Items fairly priced and shop well stocked. Just find the self serve bit slightly confusing and feel staff need more customer service training, especially as these tills are not like self service tills else where. Shouting over to people "press OK then" and huffing in my opinion is not good customer service. If it is an issue just put instructions on the till!

Wilko very good for whole range of items at very competitive prices being old I didn't like when self service was put in as against a assistant,but noticed on last visit they had found room to use a proper till assistant to help with enquiry's on what you had picked out,one more thing not only with Wilko why in stores now that want you to self serve the same is at banks,why do they all use different machines that work different ways to pay for goods bought.

The store is large enough to carry varied stock, and is situated just outside the main indoor shopping mall, so you do not have to go into the main centre. There is lots of parking nearby but this is chargeable, with a flat rate of £1 all day on Sundays. The store has mainly self checkouts which cuts queue times.

Good shop, nothing to shout home about, quick access into the store but felt sorry for the lady on the door using a calculator to figure out how many people are inside, she really should get a proper device or app to use will make it so much easier. Queue to pay was very long tho going all the way to the back of the store with just 1 checkout lady and the normal checkouts turned to self checkout, doesn't seem to work as effectively as they might have hoped.

The variety at Wilko is incredible, I'm surprised they can fit so much into such a small space sometimes. The "Try Me" priced shelves near the entrance are also really good. I've never seen such good value on some of the products there, even compared to the major supermarkets. Most of the staff are quite friendly, but unfortunately there are a few that sour the experience. One memorable experience we had was when we spotted a pricing error on a shelf. Instead of being grateful, the manager seemed almost annoyed and acted like we placed it there on purpose to try and get one over on them. I guess the customer is always wrong here. Don't let this put you off though; that was one manager in one store. I still go into this store regularly as I love having a browse around and usually come out with a lot more shopping than originally intended!

Not the cheapest of stores but a good value store with a range of products for many uses. Purchase my wood-based cat litter from here once a month as it's a large bag at very good value but if passing will always consider Wilkinson as a potential supplier if there's something I'm looking for. Generally clean with happy staff and stocked shelves but there is a "deliver to store" option if there's something you really need.
