I lost count of the number of kitchen retailers I had already looked at/met with before realising that Howarth Timber did them too. Having been generally unimpressed by most of his competitors, Kris Kingsley won me over straight away - extremely knowledgeable, local to the area, easy to talk to, a good listener and most importantly, he wanted to work with me, not sell to me. The York showroom is good because it does not overdo it in terms of choice but you can configure anything with the samples available. Kris made a point of visiting us early in the process to fully understand my family's needs and following a handful of meetings to make adjustments as the project progressed, we have ended up with a stunning, affordable kitchen that adds significant value to our house (not that we're selling..). Don't bother looking elsewhere, Kris and Howarth are totally recommended for service, quality and affordability.

Great company and great staff. Last time all staff helped me to load car so I could get all before closing time. The only reason why not 5 stars is that I can't check prices anywhere so it's hard to plan budget for DIY jobs but they usually cheaper than any other shops around!

If your a tradesman in York or a local business you'll know how good this company is!! We use Howarth Timber on a weekly basis and never had any issues.. Prices are decent, unlimited stock and some of the nicest guys in the business.. Thanks guys

I recently bought some timber decking from thease guys for a DIY project. I’m not a tradesman, but the price was great compared to the likes of B&Q, wicks, etc and the website easy enough to use so I gave it a whirl. Delivery was fast and the driver was really freindy... I had an issue with a couple of bits, but theses guys went out of their way to put it right within a couple of hours (and even left me some spares) which they’ve also picked up when I finished the job. I can’t fault the service, and felt well looked after ...5*s I would recommend.

All be it that the prices are good we bought 20 lengths of Decking boards as the weather was good we decided to get it laid . But there were some poor lengths that had warped & twisted some was slightly damaged which I hadn't noticed when it came the other week it goes with out saying check what your signing for .
