Edit - I've had my little girl since writing this review and I can't thank Amy and (Bolton?) Becky enough!! I even named my little girl after you Amy, we will always remember you both! Thank you💗
Humzah and Kayleigh were amazing. So reassuring when I went in with reduced movements and made me feel totally at ease. Really lovely people!
I also had my first baby here and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. My midwives Rhona and Sam were incredible!
The receptionist staff have always been great, midwives, students, doctors, nurses, every person I've met here has been amazing. Will always recommend this hospital😊

I went to the assessment unit today for reduced movements at 31 weeks and everyone was so reassuring and friendly. My partner felt included and was allowed to stay with me at all times. Lovely staff.

Had my 12 week scan here last week, my appointment was 9.40am and i was seen at 9.40am too! The sonographers were fab i also had some bloods taken and saw a midwife after that, the whole process was quick and efficient the staff made me feel at ease and explained everything to me. I did notice that partners had to wait outside until the ladies went in for the scan not sure if this is a temporary measure or the rules of the clinic. I'm hoping for a home birth but will also plan to have a water birth here just incase because overall i was very happy with the service i recieved. I also have my next scan booked here too. Theres a little shop for snacks and drinks also sells hot drinks, i did see a sign saying no children allowed on the maternity unit, again not sure if this is temporary or not.Overall i was in very good hands and I'm looking forward to going back.

I just wanted to give a shout out to midwife Lydia, who was there from the start to the end of my labour and was there afterwards. An absolute credit to the hospital. All the other staff I encountered were also, friendly and caring. Especially the student midwife Faheema. There were some staff issues and on my last night, poor Lydia and another midwife were trying to run the antenatal and the postnatal ward, by themselves.

Thank you to all of the staff in the maternity unit at Leicester General who cared for my daughter (baby boy was born by CS on 23.12.20), my daughter and son in law were full of praise for the staff on duty throughout their time on the unit. to quote my son in law 'there are some seriously talented people here'. You cared for them so well and I am so grateful and thankful to you all xx

From pretty much the first 12 week scan. The nurses, doctors and midwives at LGH have been too drawer in the care of my wife and our baby nothing ever seemed too much hassle for them. My wife felt like she was being a nuisance when she had to buzz for a midwife/nurse within 5 minutes of one having seen her. The nurse/midwife said. It is what we are here you have had quite major surgery. (C section.)
Everyone was so polite and friendly. One particular Midwife. A Mrs Ellis, I think her name was. She was just manifest. Being my wife's midwife in theatre and immediate aftercare. LGH. You are a credit to the maternity and midwifery world.
