Had a bit of a scare today for hubby and was sent to A&E Lincoln. From the time we arrived to leaving we received fabulous care and attention. We could not fault the service and we were dealt with in less than 2 hours including blood tests and full assessment. The staff were highly efficient and put our mind at ease
Thank you NHS

Went for blood test. Took ticket. The waiting areas were ridiculously full. It appeared they were taking one person every 15 minutes. How long does it take to draw a bit of blood????? I gave up after an hour. I love my health services but this service appears to let everyone down. Pull your socks up and move things along

Had to visit on a number of occasions. Good parking. Always found the staff very helpful. Let's face it....its not a day out, but the care and treatment is professionally given.

I received a phone call from the police, informing me that my son had been taken to a&e (every parent's worst nightmare). I dashed to the hospital, early hours on the 5/6/22. I was so shocked that my son was so inebriated and covered in blood! I was so worried, as my son had several injuries to his head, but the staff were so reassuring and caring! Regardless of my son being so hard to handle. They kindly took us to a side room, where I tried to keep my son quiet and prevent him from upsetting other patients! At times I struggled to cope! But a lovely HCSW 'Stacey' was absolutely brilliant! She calmed my son down, brought him numerous coffee's, listened and she had sooo much patience! The nurses and doctor were also incredible! In particular, 'Elaine', 'Tandiwe' and doctor 'Ahmed Osmar', whom, were very understanding, patient, treated my son, with the upmost respect, dignity, were caring and compassionate! A big thank you for all the hard work that you all do! And needless to say, this was the first time I have experienced this with any of my children and hopefully the last 🤞

Amazing. Just finished appointment at Clinic 11. 3rd time visiting and every time I have been impressed at the cheerful professionalism shown by every member of staff. I arrived a week early for my appointment in error, yet the receptionist kindly had a quick word with the Doctor who managed to fit me in. I was in and out within an hour, cast taken off by a couple of very funny gents.. I never thought I'd be laughing as someone took a saw to my arm. The doctor arranged for new splint and clearly explained what I needed to do for next few weeks. I would quite happily have waited longer as its lovely just watching the way receptionists and nurses interact with patients. Not a grumpy face amongst them. As on the past 3 visits I came away smiling and far more upbeat than when I went in. Really great job done by all.

Very pleased with my treatment here, 8 weeks ago l met my specialist Dr Matusiewicz, took time to listen, answered all my questions, l felt really at ease after a very worrying time.

Attended today for an MRI scan, yesterday I received an appointment Sunday 23rd for a ultrasound scan, of which I was not able to attend. Having travelled 25 miles to get to the hospital, after having my MRI, I went to the X-ray department, spoke to the receptionist, who said she would see what she could do, she came back to me, and said if I was willing to wait, they would fit me in today. 10 mins later I was called in for my ultrasound.
I have found everyone at the hospital so helpful, especially during these extreme circumstances.
Thank you all at Lincoln County Hospital.

I was transferred to Lincoln County Hospital on Wednesday last week, from Boston Pilgrim, where the staff were equally fantastic - particularly, Dr Jide Odowe and a blonde triage nurse, whose name I can't recall - sorry.
My whole experience of a two-night stay at LCH was positive. From the essential cleaners who seemed to be constantly in attendance, to the top consultant, doctors, nurses, students, the ladies who dished out tea and toast, porters, and everyone between, the staff seemed to gel as a team, and I felt privileged to witness the best of the NHS 'family' in action.
The nurses on Greetwell Ward 3 - Danielle, Vicky, Izzy and Rachael - were professional, caring and offered reassurance when I was scared, in pain, and had no idea what was happening to me. Student nurse, Vicky, even went the extra mile to source a plug so that I could recharge my mobile phone - a minor inconvenience, you might think in an acute ward, but to me it was extremely important that I had access to my family. Vicky recognised that and did her best to offer me peace of mind, whilst in the middle of a busy shift - those girls never stop!
Huge thanks to Dr Joel, who was my initial contact with the Max/Facs team at LCH. His professionalism, humour and prompt medical action made me think that maybe I was going to be okay.
Headed by Dr Zakia, the team who eventually performed a tooth extraction under local anaesthetic were superb, especially Dr Ahmed, who was in charge of 'the implements', and Cal Cavanagh, the nurse who held my hands all the way through the whole operation was funny, kind and totally committed to my welfare, both physical and emotional. Much appreciation to all concerned - and well done, to LCH for employing such dedicated people.
Just one criticism - for goodness sake, someone get a can of 3-in-1 oil to the toilet door on ward 3 - Greetwell! It wakes everyone up in the night. :-)

I recently had to spend a week in the hospital. I can honestly say that EVERY member of staff was professional, caring and helpful.
Great to see staff from so many backgrounds working as a team, towards one goal, the care of the patient. Big thank you to everyone in MEAU (b)
for taking great care of me. Underfunded, understaffed and overworked, yet all of the staff (particularly the nurses) showed how caring they are.
Thank you.

Arrived at around 5pm, was checked in and processed to a&e in about 2 hours. Was then a 7 hour wait time before there was a bed in the correct ward, but all of the a&e staff were wonderful and helped as much as they could. Once checked into the correct ward, everything was clearly explained to me, and I was comfortable the whole time. Special shoutout to Erin at Greetwell!

My Aunt has been in and out of Lincoln hospital 5 times since catching covid in January. I live in Scotland so have been unable to see her. Every single person I have spoken to over the last 6 months from switchboard to consultant have been fabulous. Very helpful, clear and supportive. I can't thank them enough for all they do.
K. W.
I stayed on the Clayton Ward Tuesday night, Jason & Alice were my main nurses & were both amazing. I had an operation Wednesday. All the nurses, doctors, anaesthetists & staff were all so lovely, kind & caring & informative. I felt very well cared for & safe. Everything was clean & well organised.
The hospital could do with being a bit cooler as it was too warm but understand they aren’t allowed fans due to spreading germs. Thank you so much for taking such good care of me. ☺️

I have been attending clinic 1 for about 18 months. I would like to thank the Doctors and nurses in the department for the incomparable level of care and professionalism they display.
Their approach to their work is positive, they greet you with a smile and set you at ease. From arrival at the car park to departure was 55 minutes. They were casual, relaxed and I did not feel rushed. Keep up the good work.
Regards
Carl Dixon

It's useful, if you need a hospital.

Having resided nearly seven days in the Lincoln County Hospital , after an emergency admission . I have only praise and admiration for the staff , from the house maids to the Consultants . Yes I spent thirteen hours in A & E , but was assured and felt all had been done for me that was possible for the staff to do . Also I was move three times after A & E . It was amazing to see the staff in action ! Everyone in a orchestrated movement worked fast and furious to prepare for the next admission . To appreciate this it is better to witness the event . Now on top of this phenomena of marvelous teamwork was the 5 star food ! Yes you did not get the English breakfast but the delicious prepared meals were served by most of the staff extremely quickly and had what ordered ! A great hospital with wonderful people working in it who are understaffed but not undeterred .
Well County Hospital Lincoln !

In my time of need and not through choice, I was sent to Lincoln County Hospital. The staff conducted the long drawn out process that concluded with a diagnosis and me being admitted for treatment, which they did admirably and with as much happiness as they could under the circumstances, what I do not appreciate is the A & E Security Guard walking through the waiting room, after he had spoken to a member of staff, so no altercation and being heard to say "f**king hell" totally unprofessional and unnecessary, I am not unfamiliar with the Security industry and suggest he gets some retraining, minimum wage or not!
I. M.
I had to attend the UTC yesterday and recieved amazing care Sarah the nurse practitioner who looked after me was fantastic and her intervention secured a prompt diagnosis and treatment
Thank you so much. Sarah you truly are a credit to your profession.
S. D.
I went in a little while back because I had fallen over a cola box (I know silly) and basically split my knee wide open. The nurses at the A&E were true gems, even when dealing with difficult situations at the time, such as drunk people on a saturday night. And while the hospital is in desperate need of new wheelchairs and other resources, the staff is what makes this hospital as great as it is. After getting to see a lovely doctor who gave me six stitches, I was back on my way home. Yes, I had to wait a while, but the staff did not leave a stone uncovered where my care was concerned. Thank you for everything you've done for me, from coming to get me at the car in a wheelchair because I couldn't walk to putting on a new bandage, stitching and pain medication, you were all brilliant.
And no offence, but I hope I don't need the A&E again any time soon. If I do though, I couldn't be in better hands.
R. N.
The staff were fantastic and so reassuring when I was rushed in for medical intervention when my homebirth didn't go to plan. The day room on the ward was great as you could access tea and coffee 24/7. I saw the cleaning staff regularly keeping the ward clean and tidy.
Only complaint their is limited parking for the maternity ward and the charges are high.

As a patient with multiple lifelong chronic illnesses, including mental health and ehlers-danlos syndrome, I can say I've visited almost every department!
Some things can be improved, such as the ease of directions through the hospital. I am a professional patient, so I've got the whole thing well memorized, but for new people it can be difficult due to the many twists and turns and signs that only point to the closest departments. The blue line to physio and other parts which are further away is very helpful though.
Physio and OT are a fair walk from the main entrance, but they do have their own entrance and parking that most patients use. It's just a shame for those who use public transport to have only one bus stop at the hospital, and then to have to walk all the way through to the back. On a positive, porters have helped push me to that side when I asked at the reception, and someone came to take me down within 5 minutes on each occasion. So help is available.
Staff have always been so amazing to me, OT staff for example, know my voice when I call their phone! And ask how I got on with wheelchair basketball at the weekend! Over the years I have been so well looked after, and the staff are always willing to do what they can with what tiny budget they have to work with.
With a bigger budget and more staff or help, this hospital can improve drastically. But as it is, I can not fault the staff or service provided with what resources they have.

I’ve been in lincoln hospital many time, on different wards and the staff are all very caring, very good at they job and will do they very best to help you, well done to all the staff from the doctors to the nurses to the cleaners, it’s a very big thank you from me and my family
B. P.
What a fantastic hospital! - everyone, without exception, from consultants to nurses to porters were so caring and helpful, and not forgetting our brilliant ambulance paramedics. My wife was 200 miles from home with a broken hip, and the care she received was great. She shattered her hip Saturday afternoon, had a new one by Sunday lunchtime - God bless the NHS, and Lincoln County in particular of course, is all I can say!

My daughter who is twenty went in for a tonsillectomy. From start to finish all the staff including doctors, nurses and support staff were fantastic!! caring and thorough. Nothing was too much effort. There was no need to ask questions as everything was explained. I do think that we should be thankful we have the NHS as all involved work incredibly hard. Thank you
H. S.
Our little girl has been admitted twice this year for breathing difficulties. The staff in both A&E and on rainforest ward have been absolutely brilliant and we have had excellent care. Thank you for doing a great job.
L. B.
What an absolutely wonderful team in the Safari ward and a huge thank you to the Dentist running the Friday Community clinics. I thought the whole experience was very reassuring. My son and us parents! had a very supported and calm day on Friday. My son had some teeth out under general Anaesthesia. We were all reassured the whole time by the team around us and the care at every level from start to finish was very attentive The anaesthetist too was so gentle with the children and explained everything. He made flying and dreaming sound so gentle .. so thank you very much team at Lincoln
P. W.
I Spent a day in the Medical Emergency Assessment Unit and received excellent friendly attention and treatment from the doctors and nurses.
It gave me a practical experience of how much pressure the staff work under but still remain so caring and cheerful.
Government should give an absolute priority to providing the NHS, including GPs, with more funding and support to relieve some of the pressure the staff work under.

Visited the medical day case today following an appointment with Dermatology. I went in on time, was met by a lovely Receptionist, treated by a lovely Nurse and given a drink and buscuit by another member of the Team. Working in the NHS myself at a different location I was very impressed at all of these qualities displayed. Also big shout out to 4 other members of staff who obviously saw that I was lost and offered to help without being asked. Well done Lincoln!

I have treatment every 3 weeks in the MDU here and I always feel confident and safe within the hospital during these COVID times. Lots of measures in places throughout the whole hospital for everyone's protection
C. G.
Arrived quite anxious to the endoscopy department today 29/09. . Was met by Kelly, amazing caring and professional, she reassured and explained everything. The dr and nurses, one of which was called Emma, were absolutely brilliant, they laughed and joked with me and the whole procedure went smoothly and painlessly. Having been in NHS myself for over 20 years I understand the pressures on staff, but this team appeared genuinely happy in their role. Sounds strange but it was a very positive and actually enjoyable experience. That shows how great this team are. Thankyou very much for your care

My mum is being treated for cancer at Lincoln County and I can't praise it enough. The Doctor's, Nurses, Radiographers, receptionists and not forgetting the volunteer drivers are all amazing. Without the hospital and all the people in it my mum wouldn't be here now, everyone works so hard and they are kindness personified. There are so many bad reports in the media everyday, however there are many more lives being saved and nobody reports on all the good things that are happening.
Thank you Lincoln County X
D. R.
I had a minor op in the day surgery & the staff were brilliant , so helpful & friendly , I hear so many bad things about hospitals but my experiences have always been good . I do believe that you get treated as you treat others , so I'm always patient & friendly rather than being rude & obnoxious like some folks are . 10 out of 10 for LCH though - brilliant
N. O.
I can't thank them enough for how
They took care of me when I was in icu in December 2016 and February 2017 in the cardio ward.
Thank you so much for everything

I have just spent the last 3 days, this being day 4, as an in patient on the Alex Bay. I can't fault any member of the brilliant people who work so hard to help the people who are unlucky enough to need their services. If I was to create my ideal hospital, I would model it on this one. Thank you so so much for all of your help but in the nicest possible way, I really hope that I don't see you too soon ha.
G. J.
Can't fault the experience we received from calling 111 to my wife being admitted, looked after and discharged. (except a minor issue - hence 4 instead of 5). All staff were polite, efficient and professional.
S. L.
Had the best experience in rheumatology and x Ray at LCH. Hungarian Dr in Rheumatology was so very kind and thorough, super polite and organised bloods to be done there and then, sent me off to x Ray, where they were so helpful and friendly too. Lovely man called jospeh helped and spoke about the rugby World Cup to ease my tension. All very clean and tidy and a painless experience parking.. Made me feel very proud of our NHS.
G. R.
I visited the Lung Function Clinic for the usual annual appointment. The staff member there is Marcel and he is an excellent ambassador for the hospital. He is polite, professional and very knowledgable. Every apsect of care is explained and covered where required. People like this seem to be in most departments at Lincoln County. Hospital. Keep up the good work and show the rest how its done.

Went in for a prostate op, all done & dusted within 24 hours, the staff in Waddington Ward could not have been more helpful. But, I cannot understand why I had to be woken at 2am for a blood pressure & temperature test? Also, it is sad that Lincoln has not been equipped with computers/ipads so that nurses do not need to deal with so much paperwork. Staff so professional & caring, thanks a million!
S. A.
My son was seen today at ENT outpatients, the staff were lovely, very accommodating and great with the wee one. We were in on time and the consultant was great. Thank you. I was lovely to see volunteers dotted around ready and waiting to help anyone who needed it too. Well done LCH
R. B.
I wish to congratulate the staff in the Ophthalmology Clinic 8 at Lincoln County Hospital, for the superb treatment and coord-ination that I received on 12 Oct, 2018. I arrived 15 minutes early for my assessment. My name was called immediately and a nurse
gave me the preliminary tests for
Wet AMD, right eye. The clinic waiting room was full and I saw. the value of a male volunteer who
guided patients and called out names for the staff. The referral specialist, a friendly lady was most informative and efficient. She referred me to the Injection staff who carried-out the most delicate procedure, expertly and quickly.
Everyone who I spoke to was helpful and I left the Clinic much impressed with my visit. Thanks for the positive experience!!
J.H. Burton, Upton, Newark.

Following a difficult surgery I was transferred to Lincoln and spent some time in I.C.U. My treatment and care was first class. I was then transferred to Greetwell Ward where the good standard of care and nursing continued. Many thanks to all.

In the early hours of Friday morning 4th March 2016, my husband encountered a mild heart attack and was taken by ambulance to the Lincoln hospital.
I would just like to say thank you to the ambulance staff and the staff at the hospital who looked after him.
I cannot thank you enough for your efficiancy and care while treating my husband.
You are all kind and caring and we would just like you all to know that you do a brilliant job.
Thankyou again and God bless you all.
B.
A+E has been pretty fast the last 2 times i've needed to visit. less than an hour each! I guess it depends on the time but i'm not complaining.
Parking is a rip off and they don't take card payments so you're forced to draw £10 out from somewhere in the hospital.
P. S.
I used the PET CT today appointment time 12.20 can you ask the staff to use some basic manners. For example what is your date of birth 'please' not DATE OF BIRTH?
S. M. S.
The night time A&E service is amazing,Very friendly staff,,
Excellent care and clean environment.
They deserve more than 5 stars
r. d.
Caring, dedicated, professional staff who respond sensitively to patient needs.

I cannot give enough praise and thanks to every single member of staff involved in my mothers care during her recent 8 week stay. Burton Ward, as the kids of today would say "you rock"!! Yvonne, Elaine, Catherine, Amy, Kirsty, Sally, Rebecca, Dr. MT, Dr TJ, Dr Charlie, (apologies to those whose names I have forgotten, these thanks are to you too), ICU, cardiology, haematology, pharmacy, X-ray and CT scanners, first responders, paramedics, A&E, porters, cleaners, tea ladies and even outside contractors, I have not come across one single person who has not been helpful, courteous, polite and willing. It has been an emotional roller-coaster for our family and we are absolutely amazed at what has been achieved with my Mum by these great people.
The family of Doreen Sanders thanks you from the bottom of their hearts.
Lyn, Michael and Karen.

my wife (b 30.10. 1926) and myself (b.25. 07. 1925) are both blue badge holders and I wish to comment on the policy that demands that such holders are required to pay £1.50 to park in disabled only parking areas.
In our particular case, unless we can get right up to the top, I have to load my wife into her wheelchair, (she cannot be left due to dementia (Alzheimer + Parkinson) and push her uphill (usually) to the machine, take her down again to display the ticket, then up again to gain entrance to the hospital..
My blue badge is because of a dicky hip! And that does't help!,
Fortunately, her wheelchair acts as my rollater!
Everything else about the hospital is fine !
P. B.
The staff are very good with the job
D. B.
Was there with the young one,he managed to get his backing plate of his earring stuck in his ear(dont ask) anyway a and e was really busy but the chap on reception took us to another bit of hispital,10 mins later we were on our way out.A little tip for you if you want a coffee out of machines, dont have them in outpatents or a and e. Walk round the out side of hospital go past the statues turn right you will see some double doors go through them and get coffee from there,a) no queues and b) you will save 20p a cup. Also dont pay on the carpark go across road park near prison that is 5 pound a day
D. W. R.
