I had my baby there via c section I can’t thank the hospital more for the excellent service they provided . I had a lot of medical issues for my self and the hospital accommodated me perfectly . The midwives are so sweet and helpful . The doctors are so caring . I have never trusted a NHS service like this one before . I don’t know how to thank the hospital for everything .

My experience was very good in this hospital, always from the beginning until the birth of my child well treated. I had a Cesarean and I can say that this aspect was much better than my first one in my country. My son was born and after a few minutes he had respiratory problems, but the doctors and nurses were always attentive and took good care of him. Food is good, stay clean and rooms clean. the professionals who accompanied me day and night were respectful and friendly people.

I was Diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer had hysterectomy with debulking surgery to remove tumours. on 13th July 21 I Was in hospital for 10 days.
Everyone from nursing staff to medical staff took time to talk to you especially when I was feeling low. Housekeeping staff always made sure I had water with ice as it was during a heat wave and ward was very warm.
Was seen by the same registrar on the ward and being followed up to being discharged back to my local hospital in August 21

Attentive and friendly staff.
The appointment system in the gestional diabetes ward is a bit of a mess. You get give a time for an appointment except your actual appointment time has no baring on the time you're supposed to be seen. If you have an appointment at 9, you might be seen at 9, you're more likely to be seen at 10-11. The NHS is under staff and creaking at the seams but a little but of expectation management wouldn't go a miss.
Be cautious of the car parking situation too. The car park is run by the Cowboys at CPP and its a "private car park". The machines never work, they never answer the phone and the prices are a joke.

Maternity staff doctors lovely very good
Men sitting in seats and some sleeping in waiting areas this habit needs to stop
pregnant women standing up as all seats gone should be told off
In maternity day ward and general Maternity day ward today please pull them up on this now no manners respect

My wife gave birth on 22nd of july but she was inpatient for following 5 days in Edith Ward. I am going to tell the experience my wife under went. The day shift staff was very helpful and very professional. Even my self witness this. However after i leave at 7pm that the night shift staff have been very discourteous and un helpful to my wife.
One example when my wife needed hot water to prepare milk she was told that she should go and fetch the hot water while she is carrying the baby.
My baby was fitted with nasogastric tube for feeding purposes as well but the reply which was given to my wife was un helpful.
The night shift should change their attitude towards new mothers. However night shift staff have been whinging about lack of staff.

I would never choose as amazing hospital as queen Charlotte giving birth to my little prince . The midwives team and doctors were , they showed wonderful care that I haven’t experienced before .staff are helpful and everybody does brilliant efforts.I needed extra care for my delivery and they didn’t hesitate to provide me .
Thanks for everyone and special thanks to the team who worked in labour ward in 20-06-2021 and 19-06-2021 you were my heroes so far and make my experience more enjoyable

Had both of my daughters there. Fantastic staff - attentive, professional, knowledgeable. One of the top maternity hospitals. 10 out 10 in my view.

Previously I had 2 babies at Northwick Park. I had my third baby here 2 weeks ago. The care I received from the midwives on the recovery and postnatal wards here was absolutely fantastic and so much better than previous experiences. Chloe and Raksha on the recovery ward were brilliant. Just 2 of the kind, diligent and respectful women who looked after me wonderfully. I am very grateful. My surgeon Dr George and anesthetists for my c section could not have been any better. Reassuring, professional and again, very kind. They did everything to put me at ease when I was feeling very scared! For these staff I would give this hospital 5 stars. However, on the day of my c section I had to deal with a Dr who was extremely unprofessional, condescending and discourteous, which has really marred my birth experience. This Dr came in to see me after I had been waiting for my c section for hours to attempt to persuade me (on the day!) to have an induction instead. She told me she didn't understand my reasons for wanting an elective cesarean. I had seen an obstetrician a week prior to this who had talked me through my options and agreed to this c section. The morning of the procedure was beyond an inappropriate time to try and talk me out of it. All of this would have been fine, but the way she spoke to me was so revoltingly patronising I felt compelled to document it here. She 'quizzed' me on what I knew about the procedure, attempted to correct me on everything I said, and when I stood firm and maintained that I didn't want an induction, replied petulantly with " well it will be an hour and a half wait". As though I were being punished for disobedience. Her whole attitude and lack of respect for me was infuriating and somewhat spoilt what should have been a very happy day. I think her first name was Nanna and she needs some support with how to speak to and treat patients. Especially patients who are already frightened and anxious. Her lack of care was concerning.

I gave a birth to our baby girl on Monday at labour ward and I can’t thank enough for all the care I had during the labour and after.
I received fabulous care at postnatal ward after the labour. It was really hard but the midwives and the staff were very helpful and kind all the time.
They helped me to feed the baby as she was born premature and checked on us several
times a day.

I recently underwent surgery at Queen Charlottes hospital and cannot praise all the hospital and staff enough. Everyone was amazing and so helpful and thoughtful. The best!

Had a great experience at QCCH when my homebirth didn't go as planned and had to transfer in. The staff were helpful, supportive and respected my birth choices, and we had a healthy baby boy. Also there was consistent care provided by each shift of midwives and nurses in the maternity ward. Would definitely return.

This is the best Maternity hospital in London my first child was born here.
Me& my wife are Very happy.
Recently my wife had a miscarriage unfortunately but she saw Midwife Ameena very professional very kind and help her a lot.
Thank you so much Miss Ameena it’s very nice of you.
Only one thing is not good Cleaning
COVID 19 situation cleaning is very important I
personally request cleaning stuff to take care of every corner as soon as possible because it’s not clean.
Ones again I thank you NHS
We love you NHS

I have had two children at Queen Charlotte's, my second one last week, and I would unhesitatingly recommend it. The staff are unfailingly kind, compassionate and professional. My first pregnancy was very complicated and risky. It was handled expertly, giving me complete confidence in my medical team. I chose to return for my second baby. She was thankfully less complicated but I still received a very high standard of care, including the obstetrician of my choice and exactly the birth plan I wanted. My interactions with other parts of the maternity service (midwife helpline, birth centre, maternity triage, etc) were all good.
Four stars, not five, because the antenatal clinic is utterly chaotic. I saw a different midwife at every appointment and the appointments usually ran at least an hour late. The midwives were all excellent but I felt a lack of continuity of care and support.
Overall, a very positive experience.

Thank you so much to the team who helped deliver my baby girl today, you were all amazing and done a great job.
Thank you

We had a very positive experience at the birth of our baby with the help of the excellent midwives in the birth centre. Very polite, warm, professional and incredibly hard working. We just wanted to thank Lauren who had such a calming effect on my wife and was the one who delivered our baby.. Also a big thank you to Anne, Iwona, Lorena, Federica and the rest of the team that we never got to know the name of. God Bless you all and keep up the great work.

Having spent a day here yesterday I have to congratulate all the staff here. I felt so cared for and was incredibly anxious about surgery due to an unfortunate incident last year at bupa cromwell.
Almost as soon as I arrived that anxiety subsided, I am incredibly grateful to the nurses and doctors for the medical care i received. Recovery after surgery was fantastic, my nurse was attentive and considerate as opose to my traumatic experience last year which has enotionally scarred me so the contrast was much appreciated.
I know i will heal faster now, and emotionally I am in a much better place.
Victor bonney staff you are amazing. Xxx thank you

I had my baby at Queens Charlotte in September 2020 , it was an incredible experience and I want to thank professor LIz LIghtstone and her team at obstetric medicine for looking after me during pregnancy, they made me feel safe and have helped me every step of the way. Thanks to doctor Webster and doctor Dhanjal, to the nurses Ila and Deborah and to the midwives Mandie and Sabrina. Your care has been excellent and I will be forever grateful for your support. Thank you

Had an amazing experience at the birth centre. I was so pleased to be able to give birth here 12 days ago. The midwives were so friendly & attentive at my final appointments here. I had a fab sweep which successfully got things going and the super kind and caring midwives were encouraging when I needed to go home and return as labour was not fully established enough. The room we gave birth in was amazing, Clean, modern and spacious. We had a birthing pool with bed alongside it, double pull down bed. En suite bathroom, baby changing station and seating area. It really did feel like "a hotel suite" as my husband said. We were so happy, relaxed and comfortable here, all the midwives were really friendly and helpful throughout and allowing you privacy. Baby was successfully born In the pool which was amazing and i highly recommend. It just shows how good it and the staff were here too as i had no pain relief either and this is my first baby weighing a huge 9lbs!! Tear/stitches minimal considering size etc and they were neatly and carefully done by our lovely midwife. Have had no problems or pain at all with them after too. Baby was so happy and calm with his birthing experience too and i think this has massively impacted in his relaxed calm, happy behaviour now too. Couldn't be happier with the experience and we will definitely aim to have more babies here in the very near future too hopefully. Thanks again all! X

So far I am very impressed with the service in this hospital. Was waiting for about 6 weeks a letter from St Thomas and never arrived so decided to subscribe to have my baby at Queen's charlottes as recommended by my private midwife. Less than a week later had all my appointment letters for the following week.
Today I had my first scan and the lady was so friendly, I felt as well treated as in a private scan I did previously. The lady took her time and was very helpful. The reception staff were so helpful too, they accommodated my requests about timing to take blood as I was late for a meeting and the lady that took my blood was so amazing that I didn't feel a thing. Thank you dear team, I feel very reassured so far to have my baby there.

Outstanding; caring professionals. I have received the best care I could imagine on arrival of our son. The midwives in the centre were excellent and delivered our baby safely although the birth was not an easy one. Post natal care in the birth centre was excellent. Even after being discharged I could count on them and give a call to a birth centre to ask for an advice when needed. We are both very grateful to all staff of the birth centre.

We had our second birth experience in Queen Charlotte's hospital. The midwife, Rebecca, in Labor Ward, has been amazingly helpful, explained to us everything and giving us the best birth experience ever. All the staff helped my miss to give birth to my second beautiful princess and I hope they contribute to help other families too. Thanks NHS and thanks Queen Charlotte hospital Labor Ward Staff!!!

I gave birth to my daughter here and it was high risk due to my heart condition. The actual delivery I feel the staff were attentive and empathetic but after for 5 days I was surrounded by cold nurses who neglected me so badly that I could have died of sepsis. I had an infected episiotomy that was extremely painful even with painkillers and I kept asking for it to be looked at and the nurses just kept saying it was fine and giving me ice packs. I couldn’t sit or stand for 5 days and the evening after we left my boyfriend had to take me to the A&e where they confirmed an infection just by looking at it. I called the maternity unit in the Queen Charlotte hospital I was in to tell them what happened and one of the nurses who was the only one that seemed empathetic (although she never suspected I had an infection) answered the phone and seemed genuinely sorry about what happened.

I attended the gynecology department and was seen by Dr Rose for my ongoing endometriosis. She was absolutely amazing and four months after my initial appointment I am now pain free after years of suffering. Other gynaecologist departments treated me as number and just wanted to keep operating so am very lucky to have seen Dr Rose who found the correct treatment for me without another operation.

Most of the staff are amazing but Unhelpful some them particularly the receptionist maternity ward (her 60s) was very rude and careless. She doesn’t care what a patient is going through. With her attitude one can really forget all the good jobs done are by other good staff. I wanted to rate it one star but it wouldn’t be fair to forget the great behaviour of the good staff.
J. R.
I gave birth to my first baby on the labour ward here in 2016, and a few days ago to my second in the birth centre. I received excellent care both times, but felt particularly lucky to have experienced the care of the birth centre team. We couldn't be more grateful to them.

My wife had a baby girl 20/6 in Queen Charlotte. Our experience were really great and really appreciated the team of midwife in the delivery ward with their amazing work which helped us throughout the labour. From the bottom of our heart we like to thank you all and especially big thank you to Ann-Patricia, thank you sooo much!
H. K.
Cannot fault the team of midwifes on the birth centre I had my 2nd baby here a few days and would definitely recommend having a baby at the birth centre. The antenatal midwifes are lovely also only downside was the scans I had the ladies who did both my scans were very impatient and didn't look like they wanted to be there but apart from that what a great hospital and birth centre. Aftercare team were also great.

I had my second baby via csection at the this hospital on the Stanley Clayton ward and the experience was amazing. Dee looked after me so well and gave me so much breastfeeding support and encouragement. She was always on call, treated me with respect and dignity at all times, and was just perfect. I also think she’s a little bit magic because despite having almost no labour signs and over a week before my due date she told me 3 hours before I went into labour that she had a feeling it would happen that night! All the midwifes were excellent and it was a completely different experience to the hospital I’d had my first baby at. There was always someone on call to help either myself or the baby and they were just all such nice people.
I’ve doctored then one star for two reasons:
- the finance department are a shambles. They won’t return your calls and despite ignoring at least 6 messages I’ve left they continue to send me letters about an outstanding amount (which my insurer has told me is them trying to overcharge and not to pay)
- secondly, my baby was born with a suspected tongue tie and the midwifes arranged a specialist lady to come to the ward with a view to diagnosing. Well this woman was the rudest person I have ever come across. She came into the room eating which I thought was really unprofessional. Before my husband and I had even said hello she pointed at my ‘Pram’ and told me it was completely unsuitable for a newborn - I mean she really aggressively told us off about it (she wrongly thought our doona car seat was our Pram but didn’t give us time to correct her). She then examined our baby and said he might have a tongue tie, might not, it might need treating, might not. Just completely sat on the fence despite being specialist in the area. Then just as she was going my husband asked her a question just to clarify we understood the next steps to which she replied ‘weren’t you listening to what I just said?’ , my husband tried to rephrase the question to which she just said ‘well if you’d listened I already gave you the answer’ and marched off! Honestly it was utterly bizarre! I don’t think we were asking a stupid question because we had listened to her intently however even if we were, she could have shown some compassion that we were new to the whole tongue tie thing and had a baby less than 48 hours prior!.Anyway we ended up seeing a tongue tie practitioner local to us who was amazing and said it was a really obvious tongue tie (she couldn’t understand how it a specialist wouldn’t have instantly diagnosed it) and properly talked us through what it meant and our treatment options. It’s such a shame because the horrible woman was just so unlike anyone else we dealt with in our time at Queen charlottes. In hindsight I wish I’d put in a formal complaint but I just didn’t want anything to detract from the precious first days with our baby.

Amazing and helpful staff, everyone is super friendly and they really help and make you feel comfortable before, during and after birth. Thank you so much! Well done

We had our fist baby here yesterday, I honestly wish we could give this place more than 5 stars. The doctors and midwives have been absolutely amazing with us. Thank you all for your amazing work ❤️

I had my baby girl on Valentines Day . Although I am very difficult patient , I was treated exceptionally , i am so grateful of everyone from the antenatal care to Labour Ward, i couldn't have received better care anywhere else , all staff were very proffesional and very polite and understanding. The diabetis midwife Helen did everything she could to calm me down and made sure i was not scared , Consultant Bhavinder Sagoo made sure my plan was followed and also took care of me , there was a student called Amy who made me feel calm as well, there was a midwife called Freya who did not leave my room for 10 hours , the Anaestetic team were absolutely faboulous sadly at that point i could not hear their names , there was a team of consultants checking on me regulary , and although my blood pressure went down and babys tones were low i did not panic as i felt i couldnt have been in better hands . And the Rm Sophie Martha Leona and the student midwife Myesha Priya they have made my experience unforgettable and positive, my delivery calm and aware .Although i have 2 other children and their deliveries were very easy and very short , my third delivery and 24 hours stay in the hospital is the best one . Words can not express how grateful i am , thank you all for the care you have given me, for the experince you helped me with, and of course for the safe delivery of my baby girl .

My experience is related to EPU team. This is an amazing department with very experienced staff. I've had a miscarriage and got pregnant soon after, I've got no words to thank the team for the amazing support and care they have offered. I am very happy with you all, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! And keep it up! Warmest hugs and thoughts to you all! God bless!

My wife and I had our 20 week scan here. The staff are absolutely brilliant. The lady who gave the scan was personable, warm and caring. Made us feel very special. Can't rate them high enough. Thank you.

I was selfreferred to the birth centre for my 4 kid. During a real calm experience my waters broke in meconium and my baby was back to back...the team was incredible fast and truly responsive in my pain relief request and doing just the right thing for my baby...despite my shock !!!!honestly they are doing an amazing job !!!!
N. S.
Great maternity services but had an absolutely awful experience as a gynae outpatient. Reception staff kept messing up my appointments which resulted in a few wasted journeys. Add to that an hour waiting time to see the consultant due to staff shortages - enough to make anyone fume.

I had my baby girl in this hospital on 22 of May. I will love to sey thank you very much to all the staff there, in this situation with the covid 19" they are doing a great job. I'm surprised how much they was looking after us and so respect for all. We'll done I'm proud for all the people who works there.... To say thank you is the only thing I can do. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💕💕

I am truly grateful and amazed at the care I received recently when I was admitted on the 02/01/2019 on the Victoria bonney ward I had a full adnominal hysterectomy to remove a suspected tumor. From the gyn clinic to the ward and the surgery then the after care words can never express the care and medical treatment I received. I was looked after by the best doctors and nurses who specialise in cancer of the reproduction system. A massive thank you to sister genie and the team and last but not least to my surgeon who happends to be called Dr surgeon who removed my early stage diseased tumor thank you so much!! My quality of life has now greatly improved. My name is Lynn-Rose Malcolm and I will remain forever grateful.

Our beloved son was born in Queens Charlotte Hospital.
We have been lucky to have him delivered there, whole team of professional and super friendly doctors and specialists were taking care of my wife and our little boy.
After our son was born we have beed moved to maternity ward and this was an truly amazing experience!
We would like to kindly thank everyone who helped us - starting from kind and helpful lady at the reception (I’m sorry I have forgotten your name) - blond lady in glasses :).
Our midfives were angels!!! - Special thanks to Ene Obiabo!!! - thanks for all the stuff that we lerned from you and all the time you spend with patiently explining everything !!

The labour Dr and Midwises and staff was great and very cooperative specially Thanks for Midwife Amber she was amazing and well professional ,the only complain start since we shifted to the labour ward one of the worst experience we have faced ,
The administration has must need to reconsider the staff their and must monitor their job more Strickly as everyone are doing what they supposed to do without any mercy or care .
The only person was careful in night time late shift (2 young White receptionist and midwife Merri ) otherwise everyone was careless .
The enterance door lady was extremely unprofessional require her retraining and manners ,Most if time she was away from her place and you have to wait for someone else open the door for you usually taken 5-8 minutes
The cleanest was very bad ,toilets was wet ,the bed sheet hasn’t been changed for last 2.5 days unless we request to change it .
No one came to clean the floor unless we leave the place
Food wasn’t available properly ,they wanted us to buy our own food the lady was unprofessional and rude while given food ,Keep asking to finish as she has to taken back the empty plates etc .
This place is good for delivery but to stay ther wasn’t appropriate as can’t find Management .Very lack of management this is all about Edite date department
P. G.
Superb maternity service and excellent staff - very professional . Only problem in the hospital is the receptionist staff- rude and not approachable . This is a shame as they are unfortunately your first point of contact and can taint the whole experience if you allow it. Shame as everything else is A+
