The hospital has the look and feel of a Dickensian workhouse and I suspect it will be torn down and replaced in the next decade, much like UCLH and the Royal London have been. I can only comment on the maternity services, my son was born here last year and the maternity unit and midwives were great, they accommodated all our wishes in our birth plan and even managed to find us a private room for the two nights we had to stay in with the baby. It's the only trust in London to have an "outstanding" rating for maternity services so if, like me, you can't afford to pay the Portland £7k to pop out your baby it's somewhere to consider.

I can’t find enough words to express my gratitude to nurses and doctors in A&E. They took care of my 3 months old baby and everything was done with such a great professional care, both to parents and the baby. All of the people involved were very loving, thoughtful, respectful.
All my love to doctors and nurses in the Great western ❤️

Spent 2 weeks and 1 day on the Great Western ward with my poorly daughter and can not thank the staff enough, not a bad ward to say about the care my daughter received all staff great and they also have a school within the ward which was absolutely great, the teaching staff where brilliant and can also bring the school day to your child's bed if to poorly. The wards play team where also brilliant and help my daughter over come her fear for blood tests. Thank you to all

Having spent the last 2 weeks in this hospital I have nothing but praise for the entire staff yes we know there are staff shortages (due to covid),but the level of care was 2nd to none. From a personal perspective I was not only put together physically but mentally too.

I wanted to say thank you so much for all the staff members! Amazing people! I gave birth my first child in this hospital and I think this is the best hospital for giving birth and pregnancy care.

Would’ve given 4 but these people need 5*! Very long waiting, but everyone is kind and only with good will! My first ever surgery, wasn’t pleasant, but glad to have had it there! Shout out for them Lovely docs/nurses!

What an extraordinarily, wonderful, amazing hospital St Mary's is. I was taken here by ambulance with the most awful pain in my chest. After being seen by a doctor in emergency A&E, I was given a blood test which showed I had sepsis. Because it was detected so quickly, I was put on IV anti- biotics for 10 days. Even though it was 50/50 survival for me, St Mary's constant care and professionalism saved my life. I had never felt so cared for in my whole life. The way they looked after me was exemplary. Every single doctor, care worker and nurse looked after me like I was a member of their own family. God bless you St Mary's. Eternally grateful. I'm alive because of your dedication and duty of care. Thank you.

I was 09.02.22 on St Mary's hospital Paddington and lady Doctor Alice Taylor - Bennett was very helpful and very friendly and professional, she was checking my baby boy and I would suggest all Doctors to take example from her to be flexible, God bless her and her family.

I would like to thank majority of the staff at St Mary’s for taking good care of my mum while she was admitted in after a fall. As she doesn’t speak English and was very weak she wanted me to stop with her. Most of the staff were pleasant and had no problem. I was disappointed with one lady who insisted I wait outside knowing my mum is elderly and vulnerable and cannot speak English. Fortunately another nurse came out soon after allowed me in as the doctor/ registrar was doing the round and I was able to stay with my mum after. I think his name is Michael (in the EMS room) and would like to thank him for looking after my mum. I was also disappointed with another lady who (bearing in mind I had stayed with my mum throughout and slept on the chair for two nights) came round with breakfast but refused me a tea/coffee! Her reply was ‘no tea or coffee for guests that’s the NHS rule’. I was absolutely disgusted at her response as I think the other patients were as well. But Thankyou to all the other nurses, staff and doctors!

Best in the world. Spotted a brain tumour from bad eye vision tests. One week later my wife has her sight and life saved during neurosurgery brain tumour removal.
Thank you everyone at St Mary’s Hospital. Nurses, Doctors and all supporting staff. You protected me and my family.
I will always support you and so will everyone I know.

Recently got here 7days ago and I have nothing but love and admiration for the doctors and nurses.
Especially on the wards

I would like say thanks the three guys, they are from St Johns woodambulance station, callsign E237, VAD 0698, their name are Tom, Oska, Omar(sorry I forgot the exact name). They help us bring a mental promblem patient to the hospital. Thanks them!
E. T.
You are amazing! I personally thank you so-so much for your devotion and effort. You are really doing the best you can, and it makes me want to cry of happiness to know there is a place where all good people come together for a good cause! Thank you so much to all of you!
B. z.
Just been treated in A&E with worrying chest pain......man these guys are stretched and working mad hours and still have the ability to make patients at ease ... ...
BIG SHOUT OUT TO ABS NURSE WHO DID MY ECG AND TOOK BLOOD.....BUT MORE THAN ANYTHING HE ACTUALLY CARED
WELL DONE ALL OF YOU

I gave it 4 star only because the pedeatric outpatient department staff were nice. However, the whole hospital referral is extremely slow and often cancels
Or reschedules our appointments. Believer it or not, we’be been waiting for 10 months to get an appointment. The whole medicinal examination only took 15 minutes. Worth it or not? For a free NHS service, I still think it’s worth it but the system needs improvement to ensure its efficiency.

During my visit in London I had un infection in my foot finger i headed to this hospital, they took me in charge and treated my case the reception is good, the doctors are very helpful,i apprecited the service
A. M.
I can not praise this hospital enough. The care my son received after a fall at home was fantastic. My son has Autism and they were so compassionate and done eveything to meet his needs. They gave our own room with sensory bubbles and a projector of lovely fishes on our celling. It made the horrid experience of being in hospital so doable for me and my son. Thank you to the staff for caring for my son so kindly.
L. G.
Some Staff are helpful others are a waste of space and rude and moody. Social distancing is in effect unless you use the lift then your squashed in by staff!! Had to cancel an appointment due to the fact they put my daughters two scans too close together we couldn't make the one scan at all on time. Not a pleasant experience at all stressed out with a disabled young adult and won't be back in a hurry once a year is enough.

We went to the children's A&E after my 13 months daughter had been vomiting for 3 days, received the most responsible and best advice from senior paediatrician Elliot, who went above and beyond to make sure our daughter is ok. We are grateful for their kindness and care.

Received my two COVID-19 Pfizer vaccination begin of January and ten weeks later in March 2021 at St Mary‘s Hospital in Paddington.
Was amazed about the smooth and fast handling of all the people who attended in these weeks for their vaccinations.
Staff always friendly, helpful and so the it was and is a good feeling to have being in time for the appointments and got the jabs....thank you to all the volunteering and allocated staff, and my biggest thanks to the NHS and the St Mary’s Hospital who made this possible.
A. A.
MRI scan was swift. Staff was very accommodating. Was no more than a hour tops. They gave away a toy to cheer up a unhappy face
A. G.
I received outstanding care in the hospital and cannot be more grateful, first in A&E and then in gynaecology wards. It was potentially life threatening condition. They kept me informed at all times and made sure I understood, showed lots of kindnesses and I felt I was in good hands. All went well medically. I never even needed to ask for anything - as it was all already provided. Thank you to everyone I met. Excellent job, wonderful people!
D. F.
Amazing receptionist, nurse and very helpful and patient doctor, felt totaly at ease on Jefferies wing

They saved my life what more can I say, I am grateful to all the staff at Saint Mary's hospital, they treated me with care and dignity, from doctors to nurses I am extremely grateful and glad we have such professional staff like this in our hospital
M. S.
First class care. Best hospital I have been to in the U.K.! World class care
A. L. W.
Other than the docs telling me in all seriousness that my illness is so bad this time it may kill me.
I'm still loving the hospital even when at 10pm the 5th floor Ward had to be evacuated due to the only elevator breaking down
Seriously it was like a carry on film hilarious

Thanking St Mary's hospital londres and staff for taking such excellent care of my son. there are good ppl out there caring for ppl not in it for gain.

Had a liver scan this morning by a the senior nurse apologies that I can not remember her name but just had to say how excellent she was , very thorough and great explanation of what was happening and going forward how to fix it. Thank you

I want to know is there any job vacancies for phlebotomists in this hospital plzz reply
B. F.
I had my breast cancer treated there and the medical and nursing care couldn't have been better. The follow up treatment and clinics I attended were equally proficient and caring. The admin depts could certainly do with more efficient organisation.
M. M.
Went for MRCP scan my appointment was at 8:15 , I have to say the team was extremely exceptional, two nurses I think one was Sara they both were very patient caring, and friendly I have no words to describe how good they were but to say thank you for your good work. At this covid19, time when everyone is scared.👍
I. B.
Paediatrics A&E department were great and all the staff were very kind. However, it takes a long time to see a doctor though.
E. S.
Nice receptionists. Great doctors. No waiting time. Looking after patients.
M. N.
The frontline staff are absolutely incredible here. Their IT systems, logistics are shambolic to put it politely. It must be intensely aggravating to have to handle all that nonsense while trying to do an extraordinary job.
I. A.
Thank you Marina from urgent care room! She prescribed me antibiotics and I feel a lot more better. Very attentive and professional lady.
J. A.
Very good hospital.I went to see my husband who was admitted there. The staff is very co-operative and helpful. There was this lady nurse in Major trauma ward...she was being very helpful to me.Overall all the staff was good.Excellent care and hospitality.

Just over a year ago today I arrived at A&E in a lot of pain and trouble catching my breath. I was very lucky and was seen straight away and diagnosed with Acute Pancreatitis. I was then admitted to a ward and put on a drip and meds very quickly. I spent 8 days in the hospital and found that the care was very good and I could also see how hard working all of the staff in the hospital were. The only issue that I had was that the ward was very hot. I think hospital staff deserve a lot of praise and respect for everything they do and the conditions that they work under.
p.
Professional doctors, nurses and medical staff... one of the best in London
T. S.
I attended here today with what I thought was a suspected broken ankle and indeed it was , apart from hopping here and there and then having to hobble all the way to get my ankle support it was all done in little under 4 hours. It was clearly busy with people a lot worse off than me.
Staff are under enormous pressure in A&E but remained calm and caring with me and not let their already over loaded workload show.

I had hysteroscopy under general anesthetic yesterday at Mary Stanford Day Surgery Clinic and I must say that my experience was very pleasurable. I was taken great care by nurses and all the staff that was around were really helpful. Doctors were fantastic too, very professional explaining the procedure in details. I would highly recommend this department.
D. F.
I was really impressed with the service. Thank you again to all staff members.

I visited the Fracture Clinic today with my autistic 11 yr old, it was truly a experience as he can become very anxious and rebellious. The xray imaging team was excellent as my son was very anxious but xrays were taken in the end with the help of imaging staff coming up with some great tools and ideas to get the correct and full images. Thank you all for your patience.

93 year old mother with dementia transferred by ambulance from care home to A&E. The treatment, care and respect shown by all the staff was remarkable and we are extremely grateful. I would have given 5 stars except for the discharge procedure and waiting for medication. It took 6 hours and then transport provided would not allow my sister to travel with our mother as nursing staff had not requested a plus one. Throughout our time there, I was shocked to hear the demands and watch the behaviour of a number of patients in the Acute Medical Unit from requesting special food/sandwiches to being rude to staff. One patient on arrival immediately went to wash her hair and on her return asked nursing staff to get her some hot water and honey ! The staff are Saints !

I attended A&E at around 5am on a Wednesday, after being directed by Urgent Care doctors.
The waiting area was empty as expected. The only thing I was not impressed about was the receptionist. None of the booths were attended. I heard people chatting around the corner.. even if the waiting area is empty, an emergency could come through at any time!. There was no bell to get their attention. I called out.. waited. Finally someone came and I was sent straight through. I was seen very promptly by a nurse who was so lovely. She treated me with dignity and kindness. You could tell she cared a lot about her patients and took the time to listen to what I was saying. After initial tests I was sent back to the waiting room to wait for results. My condition was no longer deemed an emergency so I understand I could be waiting awhile. I am more than happy to wait as I know others are more seriously ill. That’s something people seem to forget!. If your life is not in danger, you may have to wait awhile. Because the other rooms of the ER have got patients who are dying/seriously ill. PEOPLE BE PATIENT SERIOUSLY!. IF YOU ARE NOT IMMEDIATELY DYING YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT. The doctor who assessed and treated me was also very lovely, he was understanding, compassionate and very experienced. The whole process took around 5 hours. I was discharged and sent home, happy with my experience. My first and hopefully only NHS experience. I am very thankful to the overworked/under appreciated staff who don’t deserve the abuse and slating from entitled people who only think of themselves (as demonstrated in some of the comments in the reviews). Thank you St Mary’s Hospital!.

MAD i was born here! It was a quick and easy experience for me to come out my mum's belly! She said the staff were brilliant and very supportive. My mum has been a patient at st. Mary's for 5 years and nothing ever went wrong stated my mum. This hospital is brilliant i strongly recommend this hospital, its better than most hospitals like st. Thomas and more! By far one of the best hospitals in London! I love this hospital its the best!

The NHS provide an excellent service.
Had to ring 111 for my wife. They sent an ambulance which took her to St Mary's.
There the staff were very pleasant and caring even when another patient was rude and loud.
It was 8:00 pm when we rang 111 and 4:00 when we left. At no time did we feel ignored. They were very busy and with waiting time for test results the long duration was to be expected.
Well done staff on 111phone, ambulance and St. Mary's . Please keep up the excellent work.

Pleasantly happy with this hospital (Admission Lounge Theatre) Came here for day surgery, the staff were very informative. For the first time in a hospital, the surgeons met with me prior to surgery, gave me all the information I needed along with any potential risks and advised on the options and best possible approach. The anaesthetist staff were also very good and kept me relaxed and ensured I was comfortable. They really took care of me and were very professional. Both the anaesthetist and surgeon came to visit afterwards to provide an update and check that I was okay. The ward staff were also very good and continually checked on me and demonstrated a good standard of care. The patients have a private room to wait in until being called through for surgery. The only problem, which was minor, was that all the patients arrive in the morning at the same time and those who go last have a bit of a wait which is a bit hard going when you've been fasting in preparation for surgery - but that was okay as it meant they could fill a slot if someone failed to turn up. All in all, very impressed, thank you

I had a surgery yesterday in St Marys hospital. Everything went fantastic. Starting from the receptionist till the nurses in the recovery room.
I was very well looked after from everybody especially in the recovery room. The nurse who was looking after me, Dijana, was superb. She was very helpful, kind, patient and very well experienced. She is amazing.
I would like to thank all the doctors, surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and staff who were involved in my surgery.
You made my experience very relaxing and pleasant.
Thank you all

I have been coming to this hospital for years for my boys and myself. My boys would not be here today if it was not for all the staff. The cleaners porters cooks administration. They put up with a lot of rudeness anmostity, yet we are given a free service that gives us care support health.
Its not always plan sailing. Never mind you get expert care. All under one roof. It cost nothing to be kind to people who are helping you in your time of need. St Mary's does this . Like our amazing NHS it needs more money. Plus people to stop abusing it and those who know what it needs to run it better be Allowed to not government who have not a clue.
I owe a lot to St Mary's hospital

Week ago I had fibroid surgery in St Mary's hospital. All processes of preparation for surgery went quick and smooth. Meeting doctor before also made me feel relaxed and safe. Everything went well and next I remember is waking in the room. Nurses were (considering with what they have to deal every day) fantastic, always there and ready to help!
Thank you everyone, I really appreciate it!
Ps: it would be great if anyone who review this hospital, review actual medical service, doctors and outcome of treatment they've got. When I was choosing hospital to treat fibroids I was quite sceptic as St Mary's had only 3 stars. After reading most of reviews I've realize they are based on reception service or food?! If you go to restaurant, there you can review food, and if you wanted to be treated as queen you have to pay and go to private clinic. This people are doing their best to help as much people they can in shortest time they can. Please give them some respect!
s. f.
I have been reading comments and I thought I should give a review too. St marys is a best hospital . A & E waiting time is 4 hours maximum in every hospital .
And it depends how busy they are if someone is waiting before you they wont wont see you first obviously. And sometimes they get v urgent cases in which you have to wait and they keep updating you. I always had good experience with st Mary's the staff everyone ks soo nice. We should understand that they r here to help us, so we try to be calm and understand them rather then blaming them.
.

Hello I just wanted to know do Private and NHS pregnancies and births get treated the same. Rather curious as I have seen good reviews and bad and I’m just thinking we’re the bad ones on NHS?
Thanks

Absolutely fabulous staff. Got there 1 hour before change of shift and despite the long hours these guys and girls put in, the staff were friendly, attentive, understanding and professional. In particular the receptionist was getting so much aggro from an abusive/attention-seeking patient yet kept his cool, trying to calm the situation, help everyone else queueing with their concerns and aplogising for delays. I was in and out of A&E within 3 hours having had a 5 star service. Thank you!
N. S.
My annual appointment had been changed which meant I would not be able to atttend due to my circumstances at work. I explained to a very positive Juliet from the St Mary's outpatient telephone centre who found me a suitable appointment. Her mannerisms were second to none over the telephone and she truly acted as a living legend! Thank you so much!
D. K.
The nurses were fantastic. The doctors were fantastic. The consultant was fantastic. At St Mary's they saved my life in2006 and did it again in 2013. I'm undergoing treatment from the brilliant people at this hospital .
S. A.
The best hospital in London by very far. The staff is very attentive, friendly, and caring. They take the time to see you and do not rush to get you out. I had a horrible infection and passed out in the waiting room and everyone immediately took care of me and every 5 min, someone would check up on me to see if I was doing ok. They came to the room, made jokes, and made very friendly comments - I almost forgot I was at the hospital. The service each one gives is remarkable! 5 star all the way :)

Children's A&E was excellent. The follow-up a week later at the fracture clinic was equally good. We were seen on time and the staff were totally confidence-inspiring. The NHS at its best, thank you!

Totally in awe of the NHS staff at the Urgent Care Medical Centre St Mary's Paddington, and what they have to deal with. Yes, I had to wait 2.5 hours to be seen, but the staff were so brilliant. The doctor who was treating me was on a 12 hour shift in really challenging conditions. People were aggressive and threatening because of the long waits, but I was treated like a person, with dignity and kindness. He treated me very thoroughly, despite all the pressures, and while I am feeling sore, I really appreciate the care I received #uccstmaryspaddington

My daughter was born at this hospital. Initially based on negative reviews left by other people I was concerned about going to this hospital, however the service we received was so good, I felt I must write this review to thank everyone at the hospital.
The hospital is very clean, tidy and very well managed. Every member of staff including receptionists, nurses, midwives and doctors, all were very friendly, very helpful and very professional.

I had bariatric surgery 2 weeks ago under Mr Ahmed Ahmed and Mr Sherif Hakky’s team.
I cannot praise this team enough.
The whole team took very good care of me and I found the staff in recovery absolutely
Amazing.
I am an older citizen and the medical team looked after me and made sure that I was not
In any pain and were by my side constantly checking on me regularly.
The doctor and surgeon checked on me daily on their rounds.
We are all very fortunate to have these medical professionals working in our NHS service.
I Thank God for our overseas medical professionals.

My daughter has just been discharged from St Mary's Hospital, she did have a long wait in A & E, however once she was admitted to the ward, she could not have had better treatment. My thanks go out to all the doctors and nursing staff on Charles Pannett Ward, they were wonderful!!!!!!!!! Cannot express how fantastic our NHS is, and how we must all do everything possible to protect it. THANK YOU again.

Today was quiet in A&E only the really ill and emergencies were there husband was seen and dealt with quickly and efficiently, and that's how it should be, no abusive time wasters and drunks, amazing what a world wise virus can do!
H. S.
They were great in cardiology and great in helping my husband back into full health thank you !
Our consultant in cardiology acted quick with medication and got him in for pacemaker clinic ASAP couldn't fault their kindness even if they are busy we are patient people as know the demands are high !!

I had a long term relationship with this hospital..coz of my sister kind of long and complicated illness but st.mary's hospital doctors and staff are always so great.. they understand not only patients but their families aswell.. so respectful and kind.. my heartily and greatest gratitude to dr. murthy..who is like an angel who saved my sister and her baby in such a complicated condition during her first pregnancy..hats off to him.. some of the nurses are rude but doctors are really very nice..

Very good care, very run down and hard to find clinic
T. G.
Went there on Sunday morning , as my Girlfriend was really poor for more than a week, and there’s was no appointment available with any GP at our local NHS center.
The A&E receptionist (a black lady with short length hair) was very professional and extremely kind.
We were sent to UCC where Dr. Suneetha Siripurapu took great care of her, she was diagnosed with upper respiratory infection and received steroids and antibiotics treatments.
As a French man, I have to say that I feel extremely privileged and thankful to have access to such a great healthcare system.
Keep it up and thank you all !

This is the hospital I was born in and therefore it is very dear to me. The staff are very nice and it’s a clean hospital but the one thing that I can say that it needs to improve on is the fact that waiting times are very long.
R. O. K.
I found the staff at st Mary's very good and professional. And Helpfully the only problem I saw was the non nationals and drunks shouting at staff as if they had a god given right to the nhs. these people need to pay for their treatment as they are tieing up staff and hospital beds for people that need them more. The staff are under huge pressure and work extremely hard and long hours.
j. n.
mixed feeling to be honest - building ok, clean. staff.. - well some of the nurses were excellent, really great - some a bit less..and some down to hopeless and actually scary..something to be expected in such a huge center. doctors seem to be doing good job (on me at least). in the end if you go there, and i assume you go if you are reading this review (get well soon!)- sure you will find a lot of help.

I was treated in both the A and E department and another ward. The kindness and professionalism from all the staff was just amazing, i couldn't have been looked after better. I couldn't have wished for a better hospital to be in and i am so grateful.

Good afternoon, okay, I would like to know how the public health system works for foreigners, I have suffered more than 15 years with endometriosis and I suffer a lot from this, terrible colics, excessive menstruation, nausea, at last I stopped living because of this, I stopped working to study, I went home from nowhere because of heavy bleeding, so I sleep at night for at least 1 hour I have to sleep with two large absorbents and a roll of toilet paper or geriatric fake because of this , I have been doing constant blood transfusions because of my anemia, I am taking vitamins, ferrous sulfates and folic acid, I have changed my diet, all of it is aimed at (recovering) the percentage of my blood count, today I am in the line of SUS (Sistema Único de Saúde) here in the south fo Brazil and here our system is very time-consuming, I soon did a transvaginal ultrasound and found that I have to do this surgery with total withdrawal of the uterus on account of being in the high level above the normal and having several fibroids, I need a rescue, I do not have the financial conditions to do this surgery in a specialized clinic because it is expensive, I am in depression, I live crying all the time, ja I thought I would commit suicide. I do not have any help. Today I come to ask for help to all the hospitals in the world where I can freely attend foreign patients, I hope you can understand my request, I have my exams in recent hands and every 4 months I do control of the blood count, I look forward to a return from the hospital and thank you for your attention, have a great afternoon
A. P.
Small hospital and crammed with people so there is a bit of waiting time bear that in mind when coming here. Having said that most of the staff we’ve come across are very helpful and friendly although you do get the occasional grumpy staff but they are probably overworked.

Major Trauma Ward is outstanding. Although I did not choose to be ejected from vehicle in a 95 mph RTA and recovered on the ground on M25 over a year ago I am grateful that paramedics got me to St. Marys Hospital. NHS at its remarkable best. Thank you to all staff. Unfortunately repatriation to Peterborough has highlighted regional variation in healthcare.
I am hugely indebted to paramedics and wonderful care at St. Marys.
Y. E.
They took really good care of me and my baby during and after labour. I was lucky to be taken care by Natalia. She is one of the best midwifes there.

Simply the best audiology department!

I give four stars for the loving care of the nurses however the food needs to monitored. How can you give someone with sugar carbs to eat if theyare bedridden. How will they burn it off and on top cheese when you cholesterol high its like they want to kill them and as for lean meat.if you dont know that lean meat raises the insulinthen they seriously not thinkingabout healthcare at all. Theres no nutrition conciousness in that hispital. And as for thr food in genral sometimes its off stale and just not fit for consumption especially for sick people
Absolutely terrible

This is mint wing C, at St Mary's Hospital. The entrance including the lift and the area outside the lift in the first floor is very smelly always and disgusting. But inside it is okay and the staff are very kind and supportive. The waiting area is not the best facility, but it is not the worst either. Additionally, the wing is properly equipped and serviced.
J. M.
My partner was admitted to the trauma ward on Thursday 4 July 2013 and the standard of care was excellent. I cannot thank the consultants, nurses etc enough for their kindness and dealing with a very frightening situation in such a calm and considerate fashion

Two weeks in the stroke unit, where after extremely thorough checks and care, two recent strokes (ATI's) were discovered.
Looked after by the Registrar who admitted me from A&E due to balance problems. She arranged for scans, blood checks and tests before admitting me. I can only say thank you for every ones patience and care.
Always felt safe even though I was silently scared. (Have a history of twenty years ago having Brain Cyst removed at the National Hospital) where I spent some six weeks.
N. C.
Every time anything serious has happened (from birth of our daughter to visits to A&E with various non-life-threatening ailments) St Mary's has come through for us.
If you go to A&E with something minor on a weekend you should not be surprised to wait to be seen, especially if people with serious illness come in at the same time.
The children's A&E is particularly good and the staff are always kind. For a central London emergency hospital dealing with anything our lovely city can throw at it I think it is pretty marvellous.
V. C.
It's OK. Very small hospital, therefore you are forced to be crammed with a lot of people. Some staff absolutely lovely and friendly. Some were quite rude and direct.

Many thanks to all the staff at St Mary's especially in the Major Trauma ward who looked after me during my time there a few weeks ago. The quality of attention and care was uniformly excellent.
L. W.
I am writing on behalf of my son who is still in your hospital about to move out of the major trauma unit after a week. I cannot begin to thank you all so very much for your dedication, hard work, cheerful faces and humour to help each and every patient going through a really traumatic experience. You are all outstanding. My son has another operation this coming Tuesday of which, I am sure will go well knowing he is in competent hands. Keep up the good work. You haven't just made his Mum, Dad and sliblings happy but over 100 people who sent get well wishes.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Had to pop in to the urgent care centre at 6am with my girlfriend as she was suffering pain in her foot. We didnt have to wait long as the centre was busy at this time. Gp was friendly and attending, as well as his colleague, who came in to check as he was more specialised in injuries.
T. C.
I fell down a few days ago and went to the A&E since the earliest appointment I could make is next week. They were very friendly and helpful! I was referred to the UCC from the ae and the doctor was very helpful too. The wait was not as long as I expected at all.
