Had a very nice stay here with my family. Room was very pleasant and free breakfast for children under 12 is a bonus. I stay in a lot of hotels for work, but rarely get to stay as a family. This will become a go to for both the next time we're staying in Birmingham City Centre.

Central. Easy to walk from there to lots of places. Big plus. Staff very helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast. A good choice. Did not eat in the restaurant though. Room comfortable. Only negative was the bathroom. Shower basic. Usually get better toiletries in this standard of hotel. Would stay again though.

The overall experience staying at the hotel was excellent, all the staff were both friendly and professional. …

Enjoyed staying at this hotel. It's very close to the Birmingham new street station and very central, so easy to get to all the shopping areas. The staff were very nice and welcoming. Room was very clean. The mattress needs to be changed, you could feel the springs in it. The air conditioning in the room wasn't cool enough and it was quite warm. Windows could not be opened due to fall risk I guess. Breakfast was buffet styled and mostly continental. Overall, great place to stay.

I'm a regular visitor to this hotel and while the rooms are always comfortable and clean and the food is always great, what sets this hotel apart is the amazing staff. When I stay here, I don't feel like a guest. I feel like a family …

Spent 3 nights here in November. Very convenient for city centre shops, restaurants and bars. Train station also nearby. Stayed in a very comfortable club room. Breakfast extensive and tasty. Staff pleasant and helpful. Only problem inefficient air conditioning leading to room being far too warm at night.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful, my room was spotless and the beds were super comfy. It’s definitely good value for your money. I will definitely be going back here for my next stay.

From beginning to end this hotel did not fail to impress, from the reception team to the very comfortable sleep fantastic. The room was clean, tastefully decorated and the bed comfort amazing. Breakfast selection also fantastic and the service brilliant. I recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone, thank you .

My overall experience was really good and I would stay again. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean. My only complaint was that the mattress on our bed was very soft. When you and someone else lay on it, you both roll into the middle. Other than that, I would diffiantly recommend staying here.

The room was nice enough large comfy bed lots of pillows. Even though I was upgraded (I am a Gold Elite Member) - no bathrobe or slippers in the Club Room!
No hot water in the shower and I wasn’t about to sit in the bath under current …

Staff fantastic, breakfast great. Disappointed with room. Marks/stains on curtains and carpet. Bed clean and comfortable. Just felt for the price over £200 for one night was excessive. Room was tatty. No information in room regarding room service, checking out, safety procedure

First of all. The staff were brilliant. They were so friendly and helpful and caring. We could not have asked for more. Thank you. Great location next to the Mailbox and 5 minutes walk to Grand Central. Car park underneath the hotel reasonably priced. Warning, don’t park in the numbered bays! They’re private parking only. We love Birmingham (apart from the roadworks) so will be back to the Crowne Plaza.

Nice hotel well situated between and the shopping and entertainment districts. Good sized rooms and attentive staff. Great for a city break.
A. H.
Helpful friendly staff, large clean rooms and within walking distance of the city centre and bull ring. Our only downside was the price for parking, £20 for 1 night we felt was a little steep, but overall good experience and would return.

We were 2 lone females attending a gig at the Symphony hall. The location was perfect. It was about a 10 minute walk from New St train station to the Crowne Plaza and about 5 minutes to the Symphony Hall. Staff were attentive and really helpful. The room was spotless and really comfortable.

I’ve visited this hotel several times and on each occasion the experience has been excellent. The service from checking in to checking out is efficient and consistent, the staff are always so welcoming and friendly. The location is ideal, definitely worth a visit

The hotel staff were all friendly and accommodating. The room we has was a twin double room on 4th floor and was clean and large. Tea, coffee, kettle, biscuits and water bottles x2 in the wardrobe.
There were only two towels provided in the bathroom which was odd given that it was a room that slept four people!
Air con wasn’t really cold and was quite loud but it didn’t keep me awake but might bother others.
Only criticism is that, for a room that cost the best part of £400 for one night, I wouldn’t have expected there to be chips in the woodwork or stains splashed up the curtains which was disappointing and I most certainly would have expected the bottom sheet to be properly fitted on the bed!
M. L.
Good standard hotel. Typical Crowne Plaza. Pleasant staff and good rooms. Let down by very long wait both at check in and check out. 6 positions but only 2 staff on duty.
B. R.
The facilities are great and all the staff seem friendly and approachable.
Our meeting room had a large TV and plenty of water and little sweets.
We had frequent breaks with wide variety of tea selections and coffee and the flapjacks and cookies were totally fresh.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful and attentive, I had a great experience during my stay. Only small things to improve in the rooms but they were very clean and good size as well. Good for a business trip!

Had a great girls weekend. Rooms were clean, beds comfy, curtains are black out, bathroom was new and clean. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful and the breakfast was great too.

Well definitely stay here again. Lovely room, great night's sleep, superb breakfast, but the staff are wonderful and what made the experience; even left our luggage whilst we shopped.

Whenever I visit Birmingham I always stay at this hotel. Above all else the staff really make the visit and make you feel special. The rooms are great and with a nice view of the city and the bathroom was spotless.

After a really disappointing stay at a different Crowne Plaza, this visit really restored my faith in the IHG Brand. …

Had a really lovely evening, very impressed with the rooms and the price was reasonable. Separate lounge was unavailable due to Covid and that would have made it better. Room service was nice and efficient . Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here during a trade show at the NEC which could take 20-40 mins driving to get back and forth between depending on traffic.
The lobby is clean and the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The bar/restaurant staff at night were a little slow and only seemed to be one or 2 working for the whole space. We had a small group of 4 to start then had a few other coworkers join and it took the staff a while to move us to a larger table while there where many open, we ended up just taking another table since it took a while for them to come back and move us.
The breakfast staff was super great and had a really fun mood for early in the morning and lots of different food choices for breakfast.
I stayed in the 4th floor and the as soon as I got off the elevator it smelled like cigarette smoke and did for the whole week. My room was fairly large and had 2 queen beds. The showers only have a half glass door and water got everywhere so make sure to put a towel down before you get out.
We tried to park in the hotel garage twice and there was a sign that said it was full an no hotel guests could use it, although it GPS and the hotel website both said to park there. you could see many open spaces and when we pushed the help button to ask where we could park the attendant was rude and just said it was full and to leave we called back to ask again and he didn’t answer, we buzzed again and he just said it’s full.
We had to drive in a big circle and back in the highway to go one block over and ended up parking in the mailbox building parking lot and has to walk a ways with luggage to get back to the hotel.
The mailbox building has some good food and drink options and we should have gone there instead of the hotel bar at night.

I booked this hotel with 7 teenagers - it was a shopping weekend for my daughters birthday. I had 2 interconnecting rooms and it was £114 a room including breakfast. I was not expecting a lot for the price but I just had to write a review and commend everyone working at the crown plaza Birmingham. From the reception to the restaurant. Everyone was super friendly, I was impressed at how they reacted to all the girls - with respect and kindness. Usually I find children are ignored but not here.
The breakfast was really very good. All freshly cooked, nothing dried up and cold.
An absolute bargain and somewhere I would definitely recommend and come again. Thank u everyone for making it a great weekend

A lovely hotel in a great location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Would stay at this hotel again.

We paid one hundred and eighty pounds for room only for a one night stay at The Crowne Plaza, Birmingham. The room was nice but nothing special. Comfortable bed and nice staff but rather expensive!

Hi, both reception and bar staff were fantastic as ever.
However, I have to take issue with the old, and very noisy, a/c unit in the room (1005). Every time it came on it made the most horrendous racket.
