Amazing stay, I stayed here when I'm there for a work meeting. The check-in is quick and the rooms are spacious and peaceful. I could barely hear anything from outside which is perfect. The breakfast is good too with the usual options like eggs, bacon, sausages, beans and toast with lots of coffee(available round the clock). It's quite central which is the best thing if you have to be in city center. The staff is friendly and cheerful! Would definitely recommend!
S. J.
Hotel is very central and well placed for exploring the city centre on foot. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. Room was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Only downsides were room was gloomy as didn't get any direct sun and there were no recycling facilities.
L. J.
Check in staff and breakfast were great. Kiss ate free with a paying adult. Hotel and room and rooms are clean. Great to have use of a coffee/tea machine at reception.
However we booked in as a family of 2 adults and 2 children but given a room of only two beds. I don't think we would have got three in the main bed so we made up another bed with things we had in the car. So just be careful when booking a family room - there's a sofa bed which isn't very comfy that doesn't sleep 2 and a large double (maybe king sized) that would sleep 2 adults. Definitely no room for a family of 4! If we came again we'd make sure we brought a blow up bed!🙄

Excellent for price. Perfectly situated for the Bull Ring and Utillita Arena. Manager and reception staff polite, friendly and helpful. Good well maintained breakfast. Car park a bonus. Will stay again on next visit to Birmingham.

Julianna made the stay. Plain and simple. Nothing was too much trouble.
Checking in was not only made easy but also so friendly and informative.
Extra tea and coffee was requested. No problem. A heater was requested. Not a problem.
A real people person and a credit to the company. All the staff were friendly and this obviously comes from the top. The example set by Julianna.

tucked away in a quiet street however felt safe in this location. The rooms were clean and standard to be neutral in decor. Breakfast was however very poor. Eggs were finished when there was still 90mins of breakfast time left. Decent price for the location.

Lovely overnight stay after seeing a show, room clean and tidy although forgot to tell them that the tap in the bathroom was loose, good variety for breakfast, only critisism is cooked breakfast only warm, but that's me as l like my food piping hot

We visited Birmingham for 1 night to see the fantastic Marillion play at Symphony Hall and stayed at the IBIS Styles. We were thoroughly impressed! Very nice friendly and helpful staff, free coffee and hot chocolate as needed, super comfy beds and pillows, excellent shower and a really great breakfast with loads to choose from, all cooked to perfection. Very close to the City centre, the shops, New Street station and the Symphony Hall. Excellent value for money, can't fault it. Will definitely stay again if we need a stopover in Birmingham.

Staff excellent, room clean and bed very comfortable, easy walking distance to city centre. Breakfast self help, cereals, yogurt, scrambled eggs, beens, sausage and bacon, bread, hot drinks, orange and apple juice, as much as you want of everything, couldn't complain. Enjoyed stay.
V. H.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed there for the Christmas market and it was so near to walk there. There is a drinks machine for guests to use free of charge. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice. Even though parking was an extra £13 we could keep the car in the carpark after we had checked out of the hotel for no extra charge. The rooms had free wifi and t.v
and a kettle with tea and coffee. I couldn't hear any other guests, it was very quiet. Definitely staying there again.

We stayed here for a few occasions with a team of 10-20 people and the staff is absolutely amazing. The rooms are great and most of them are being refurbished at the moment which is great.
A special thanks to Janson in reception who truly gave us a lovely stay. Such a great guy, the most friendly and hospital person I’ve met in a hotel in the UK.
P. F.
Friendly, helpful staff at check-in. Room and hotel clean and tidy. Reasonably priced (for its location) parking available below the hotel. Would happily use again.

I arrived at the weekend for a concert in the middle of Birmingham at Pride weekend and the AirBnB let us down on the day!! We had nowhere to go and went to the Ibis round the corner and the guy, Andre, got us sorted for an incredibly reasonable price and gave us one of their refurbished rooms. I cannot describe how amazingly helpful he was and he turned a situation which could have been terrible into an amazing one! He was helping his other colleagues out too and dealing with other customers all while sorting out our issue. What a hero, an amazing experience would 100% recommend!

Nice enough hotel does for a night or 2, city centre location excellent for a night on the town. Car parking available at a premium, take the train if you can.
i. o.
Good value location for the city centre & has its own car park. Breakfast was not the best but was ok. If you like Indian food you've got to try Milan, further down Lionel Street, about a five minute walk from the hotel!
The car parking is free, at the moment, compared to the usual £13 per day, which is a nice gesture, especially as I have a diesel car and have had to pay the clean air fee for entering the city centre, let's hope the hotel carry on with this policy as I'm sure it would attract more customers using the Ibis.

15 of us arrived late, booked on straight away, we had booked 4 rooms close to each other which we got. The staff on 11/08_21 were very welcoming, they went out of their
way to assist us & answered our many questions with a smile. They were really lovely & we were made to feel extremely welcome. In morning breakfast was lovely ,all staff encountered before we left hotel in morning were lovely & all smiling. Would not hesitate to stay here again. A big thank you to you all who made our stay enjoyable & made us feel very welcome.
H. H.
Staff very helpful and friendly.
Rooms basic but more than adequate.
Larger towels would be nice.
Breakfast very nice but ran out of dinner plates so had side plate.
F.
Great hotel, cheaper than other hotels
Also the staff is friendly🤍
J.
Very nice staff. Clean room and good breakfast.
R. W.
One of the best hotels we've stayed in in Birmingham...clean & friendly with a great cooked breakfast.. what more could you ask for..
A. J.
Great location and friendly staff. They did tell us before hand that they were doing aircon maintenance, however, no way to open windows. So we had two fans each. Clean bathroom. However the toilet paper holder was broken, the water pressure wasnt the best, the fold out sofa bed was so creaky and slightly uncomfortable. Breakfast is alright, not many options, so if you have any dietary needs, contact the front desk. Everything is self-serve so you have to go down and get things yourself.
K. W.
LOVELY HOTEL STAFF ALL FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.
ROOMS IMMACULATE
PERFECT LOCATION FOR THE TOWN HALL LOVELY WELL PRICED BREAKY IN THE MORNING
E. D.
Exceptional staff work at this hotel, a group of us stayed here for around 2 weeks and the staff are amazing. Perfect location, free parking, free coffee and ice machine in lobby. Rooms were great, fans provided when it got a bit hot in July. Small bar and breakfast area were good. They let you get meals ordered from outside. A special shout out has to go to Janson, this lovely human being is so kind and makes staying in hotels all the time easier when you get greeted from him like an old friend. Props to all the lovely staff here, Andre, Jay, J.J., Liliana, Sasha, Yesha and the lovely managers too!! Stay here, you won't regret it..
P. B.
Excellent friendly staff, all very accommodating. Breakfast is more than OK considering its included in the price, staff did their utmost to make everything covid safe. Beds are great if you enjoy a hard mattress, not so good if you don't however. Sofa bed mattress was awful, lumpy and paper thin.
All in all, for a budget hotel it was great, if you want luxury you need to pay more.
J. S.
Convenient for the canal area and city centre. Good standard throughout with its own underground parking. Not the cheapest, but not too bad for a city centre stay.
D. S.
Very good , pity about the cost of parking which is extra if you use the hotels which was not stated when we booked or use the on street parking which is pay and display up to 6pm .
But rooms are nice , good value ..
L. V.
The hotel was actually good, customer service very good as well. I went with my pet as they are pets friendly and we love it. Everything was very clean and we enjoy a lot our trip to Birmingham. Nice experience and definetly will come back.
J. B.
We had a amazing stay at this hotel and all the staff were friendly and polite . The rooms were presentable and bed were extremely comfy , one of the best nights sleep I’ve had . Highly recommend.
P. C.
Great location for Birmingham Arena, has an underground car park for safe parking. Under re-style when we visited.
Suggestion:- please can we have real eggs, not egg powder scrambled eggs?
S. F.
The hotel is good value for the money, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, ideal location for the centre of Birmingham
B. V.
Currently having building work carried out and wasn't told prior to our stay , not a bad budget hotel , no frills but OK for a cheap stay in the city
C. H.
Lovely room and staff in which are very helpful and accomadating in every way they can. Has a very secure car park. Food OK, only provide breakfast, it not a full English but is ample. Yes I'd recommend
a. s.
Well located for Birmingham city centre with free parking and decent prices even if you turned up on the day.
The AC was broken across the entire hotel during the stay, a big issue when it is 25⁰C or higher outside.
Otherwise, the beds are comfy, the rooms a little cramped and in most cases needing a lick of paint, but definitely allowed for a night's sleep.
L. B.
Was actually really impressed. Nice big, clean, comfy rooms and the staff were nice too. Location was perfect for the event we attended and also just a short stroll for main shops and restaurants etc
M. A.
Brilliant rooms staff friendly made us feel welcome
L. P.
Rooms had no air con. It was horrificly hot and the staff also gave us a fan, made absolutely no difference and this was after the heat wave, good only knows how bad it would have been 2 weeks before, staff were lovely and the room was clean, breakfast was no the greatest
S. N.
Great location, friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast lovely. Only fault air conditioning not amazing but free parking made up for it.
L. N.
Absolutely recommend staying here. You are within walking distance to town. The staff were amazing. Buffet breakfast was lovely. I would definitely stay here again.
N. C.
I loved staying here! Great value and in a great location! Just round the corner from st Paul's square! What more can you ask for? Restaurants, bars, lovely views! Book in! I highly recommend it!
S. D.
Very helpful and great staff. Had an amazing stay there
K. R. J.
Positives - friendly and helpful staff, good car park which is currently free, decent size rooms with comfy beds
Negatives - breakfast is awful - bacon sausage and beans is the hot bit, plus very limited cereal choice etc. Not up with competition.
C. S.
Good vibe, friendly; nice facilities and good service.
C. D.
Was good but rooms were roasting. Air con was rubbish. Nice to see the staff wearing North Face uniform 🤣
I. W.
Very friendly team. Very helpful. Nice and clean.
Thanks
R. T.
Me and my family stayed here for 2 nights, from the moment to check in to check out we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a excellent price for 4 of us. The staff were lovely and helpful.
The room was lovely, the double bed was very comfortable and the pull out was OK. We couldn't get the TV to work so phoned down to reception and they came up straight away to try and work it for us but couldn't so asked if we wanted to change rooms straight away, they even brought an ironing set up as soon as I asked. The only problem with the room was that it got really warm and the air cooling system didn't do anything to help so it was unfortunate we couldn't open the window.
The free breakfast was absolutely brilliant, hot items and well as cereal and toast, a very good selection.
There was cold and hot drinks available 24/7 which I thought was brilliant too.
It was a 10 minute walk to New Street shops and 10 minutes to the jewellery Quarter so the location was spot on.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and would definetly stay again
g. d.
Very basic. Staff were relatively friendly and the rooms were clean. The mugs hadn't been washed out properly and smelt strongly of strong detergent. I had a twirl on my bed which I'm not sure was deliberate as non of my friends staying in the other rooms had this however, it was a nice surprise non the less. The lighting in the room was very poor making it difficult to get ready. But overall not a bad nights stay.
M. H.
The air conditioning does not cool the room at all, it's hot as hades. But there is free coffee and the breakfast is good
A. A.
The hotel was well situated for the city centre. We found that the Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and although nothing fancy was fine for the price with a very comfy bed and good shower. Free breakfast was included, although it might seem a bit churlish, the quality of sausages was, as other reviewers have said, very poor. Also I have not had worse scrambled egg at a hotel. Something very welcome is the free hot drinks machines which produce very good coffees, hot milk and chocolate. There is parking for the hotel in the basement which although charged is a big plus.
All in all recommended, but please address the quality of cooked food at breakfast. Other budget chains have upped their game in this department so don't lag behind!
C.
Never disappointed with Ibis over the world due to its simplicity, efficiency and value for me.
I would like to say thanks to the room service staff members who manage to keep the rooms spotless and also for their polite and courteous manner.
Thanks also to the front desk staff and breakfast staff for their approachability and friendliness.
Management clearly picked the right people for the job. Well done all!
L. D.
The staff were polite and friendly as expected from hotel staff, but the room wasn't the best, now I know the prices are cheap but I've stayed in better travel lodges and they are cheaper! The room was very dusty, there was stains on the wall oh and a bogie by the looks of it. One of the air vent slots was broken on the window so could hear everything outside all night. The bathroom stunk of poo, that's the only way I can describe it, the shower looked horrible and they had a shower curtain that looks like it's seen better days! All the coffee on offer was decaff, there was no full caff option! Overall good be better, improvements are very much needed for this hotel!
a. w.
Lovely clean place, very basic. But very helpful..😁😁
E.
Excellent location. We didn't use any transport to visit the city, we went on foot everywhere. There were some things that needed to be fixed in our room...but they just fixed one. Breakfast could be better and with more variety. There are cool free services in the hotel ( magazines, hot drinks, etc).
D. S.
This was a nice hotel for a short stopover while at an ICC conference. Room was clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable, so didn't wake up with the aches and tiredness you get after a rubbish night's sleep. Breakfast was included and was ok, as it's kept under heat lamps rather than cooked to order eggs get a bit dry and rubbery, but apart from that good.
D. “. B.
Room was clean but curtain didn’t fit the window do couldn’t draw it all the way across. A bit dated and tired in decor. Nice little touch with the complimentary mini chocolate on the bed. Bed was comfortable so slept well.
S. S.
Very basic but very comfortable. Bathroom very small but was clean and adequate for a nights stay. Staff were helpful and friendly especially when I locked myself out my room. Breakfast was good, gluten free option noted. Parking was free on the street directly outside the hotel from late at night till 8 in the morning. Parking charges thereafter very reasonable or you have the option fo using their car park which is £13 for 24 hours. Overall a pleasant stay and close to amenities. Would book again.
E. J.
Warm welcome on arrival with info about the city (went for Christmas market). Room was comfortable and quiet, great bed and shower. Breakfast sausage let the side down, quite tasteless and I noticed I was not alone leaving them half eaten.
D. C.
Good location, good value for money. Very good access to Birmingham centre and surrounding areas. Car park underneath is very handy. Rooms are adequate, generally clean and everything works as expected. The showers are under-powered and the Internet access is diabolically slow. Breakfast is good with hot and cold options. The staff are excellent - always smiling and willing to help. That's what makes this place so great.
T.
We went for a weekend as a group of 4, the staff were very accommodating and the hotel was clean and breakfast hits the mark. What I most liked about it was although it was full, there was no noise. Thanks to you and your staff, we had a great time
S. F.
Room was lovely and clean but shower smelt of sewage.
Also came down for breakfast next morning but thats a there was was bacon beans and bread.even tho people had crossionts and muffins no more was brought out. Even though i did ask. Even the bread ran out people were using the gluton free
G. S.
There is nothing special about this hotel but it provides a good, clean reasonably priced bed for the night a and breakfast and WiFi is included. Staff are generally friendly and helpful. Could do with buying some more crockery and cutlery for the restaurant at breakfast time as we had to wait for some to be washed!
T. M.
Hotel is clean and the staff are nice, the area outside is a little run down, though we were there whilst a building was in the middle of being demolished. Several things in the hotel need repairing though. Soap bottles that used to be attached to the wall are now loose, missing bulbs in several lights, etc. It's never anything major, but noticeable. Breakfast was OK, if I had to pay extra for it I would have been disappointed. It consists of muffins, crossiants, toast, bacon, some dried scrambled eggs, sausages that were a bit tough in places. You get a kettle in the room and if you want non instant coffee there's a free coffee machine you can use in the lobby. So, overall it's ok, almost good but the niggly little things just bring it down
J. W.
Amazing stay and very friendly staff
D. P.
Loved our stay, basic but great value for money. Location was good under 10 mins walk from the centre, room was clean well equipped and the bed was comfortable & the room was also quiet. Breakfast was more than adequate. If I'm visiting Birmingham anytime soon I would have no hesitation staying here again.
R. P.
The hotel was in a great location and the room was big enough with decent furnishings. However, the sofa bed for my daughter was a bit rickety. The service was excellent and the decor in general was good. The addition of a children's toy area in reception was lovely. Breakfast is continental but tasty although the croissants could have been of a better quality, ideally fresh. I would definitely stay there again.
S. O.
Hotel is generally clean and suitable for an overnight guest. On arrival we had booked a twin room and had to wait for about 40 minutes for the room to be ready at 4pm which was a little disappointing, however, we were offered a free drink while we waiting which was a nice gesture that other places wouldn't always offer! Room okay, clean and tidy and all the usual. Good shower and clever designed bathroom area to maximize room size. Parking underground at £13 overnight which is about the same everywhere in the centre. Expensive but there we go! Breakfast is a continental style but limited and not exactly inspiring. Also a bit disappointing. All the staff we can across were pleasant and helpful and were a credit to the hotel.
J. P.
Decent hotel. Standard Ibis affair. Good rooms and nice beds. Place is clean. Staff are good
M. S.
Staff are lovely, room absolutely fine but the picnic breakfast in a brown paper bag was really third class. I understand COVID alters everything but this was not a good standard.
S. B.
Really tired and a bit grubby. Our room needs a bit of TLC before it's let out again.
Staff the usual really friendly Ibis team though.
You want Ibis Styles? Go to London Southwark to see what it really should be like. This wasn't.
A. W.
Room we stayed in the air con was hardly working. Shower pressure very low. Room was not as clean as I would expect or have had in other big brand hotel chains. Location is grim. 'Take and go' breakfast was terrible.
s. 0.
Stayed here for 1 night. The room was very reasonably priced as we booked well in advanced. Was surprised to find how good everything was. Breakfast was free. we expected just continental but there was also the normal cooked breakfast on offer too.
The double room was large and a pretty big bathroom. Even sky tv was provided in the room.
Will certainly check with on ibis styles again when booking a night anywhere else
Z. H.
Value for money for the room and breakfast. Plus they were giving free parking the week we visited. Will book again
J. H.
People on the front desk were really friendly and helpful. The room was Comfortable and good value for money. However we had a horrendous night sleep because of nearby inconsiderate guests and people driving around outside beeping their horns really loudly and racing all night. The breakfast was disappointing so I am glad it was included in the price of the hotel.
P. T.
Great service , shame not free parking tho . Also the rooms need some tlc
A. R.
Clean, friendly staff good breakfast
L.
Great location midway between the city centre and the Jewellery Quarter. Nice size rooms, good bathrooms. Spacious, friendly public spaces. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Have returned a number of times for work assignments...would recommend this place for location and value.
H. H.
Nothing overly bad about this hotel, but nothing that stands out. Didn’t appreciate the failed PAT tested lamp in the room though. Safety first, Ibis.
Bed was actually really comfy although a bit stingy with the pillows - 1 each and only 1 extra in the room.
Breakfast was ok..not the best selection for vegetarian/vegan if you want hot food. Beans on toast, cornflakes with soya milk and Aplro yoghurts was available though
L. T.
Clean, tidy and very comfortable, staff were really friendly and very helpful, location was perfect, breakfast was good and included in price. It's a budget hotel but for us it was great and will certainly go back again.
G. A.
The rooms were modern and clean with loads of restaurants near by but breakfast not so good
n. k.
stayed here on sunday night after Ariana Grande played in Bermingham the rooms were perfect but breakfast was awful. we got down at 9.20 am and there was nothing left. not even a cup for tea. we'd to wait for about 15 mins. not good at all.
k. k.
When we arrived had friendly staff made us feel very welcome we sat in the foyer and it was a nice large space with bar and play area. We went upto our room and it was a nice large room very clean well stocked with the essentials and the only little problem we had is one lamp on the wall didnt work but apart from that its a nice room too stay in would stay again as it wasnt expensive and it was close to the Arena Birmingham
D. B.
Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are cleaned and everything you'd expect, breakfast was OK, but not a great selection.
Decent area to relax in the lobby with a free coffee machine which definitely improved our stay. Head over there if you're looking for a cheap place to stay in central Birmingham (Just a few minutes walk from the Barclaycard arena).
H. P.
The location is was perfect for an event we was attending in Birmingham arena.
Thats the only really good thing it had going for itself.
Bedroom cleanliness was fine but was only left 1 towel for a double room which we didn't notice until we had a shower.
Breakfast was a shambles. Hardly any food. When i asked if anything is coming i got a snappy 'its coming'! From a member of staff. Also another guest wasnt looking where he was going which resulted in knocking my orange juice out of my hand. I told a member of staff that there was a spill. Dont think it got cleaned up for nearly 5 minutes.
After 20+ minutes we came to the conclusion that no more cooked breakfast items were going to come.
So in the end we just left and went somewhere nearby for breakfast.
If this hotel wasnt in a key location, then this would be a 1/2 star review.
A. B.
Convenient hotel, we have used before and will use again.. Fairly central to the city life. Staff are good, helpful and there to help. Just the little things, complementary milk/coffee maybe missing.. TV, may miss a beat, or unable to tune to radio.. But fine for the short stay...
C. B.
The hotel is in a great location and staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was set up for 1 person and while there was a 2nd set of towels, it was dirty. The coffee tray did not get refilled. But what really knocked the rating was that the WiFi was extremely slow and only accessible to people with a UK mobile number.
B. D.
While the price was good, there were some serious deficiencies. First, my partner and I wanted to sleep in the same bed, but somehow, the full size (queen) bed and the sofa bed were pulled out and made. I didn't need the sofa bed. I had to put it up to walk around in the room. When I did, I noticed how disgusting the area was under the pull out bed. Also, the soap dispenser in the shower was broken, so I had to fix that one. Then breakfast was horrible. I know it's free, but the quality of everything was just lacking in every way. Barely anything there and no variety. Just a bit disappointed and will not return.
c. V.
Hotel is in very good location.... Rooms are good. Had Very low water pressure in shower, WiFi is free but never gets connected. Onsite parking available but have to pay £13 per 24hrs. Not really happy with that...
D. D.
The hotel is in a nice location, and staff are really friendly. We were provided with our room card, and headed upstairs. The room smelt like smoke, which was disappointing as it is a non smoking hotel, and we do not smoke. We were unable to open the windows, so my partner sprayed his aftershave in an attempt to get rid of the smell. I went into the bathroom, and one of the towels on the rack had brown marks on, and the toilet was clogged with tissue. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a great nights sleep. The following day we went downstairs for breakfast, I only had toast as there was no soya milk, and the hotel only provide continental breakfast, which left my choices limited. I will not rush to stay here again.
P. P.
Spent one night at this hotel and found nothing to complain about. The room was very clean, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the are complimentary hot drinks near reception. Perfect for a one night stay allowing one to indulge the night before.
R. F.
Had a lovely twin room between me and my friend. Couldn't fault it. Breakfast was continental so wasn't the best. Location of Hotel was 10 mins walk from Train station and good area for the arena we were heading to.
L. H.
Excellent venue for our training day. Accessible location as people were travelling from all over the country. Great facilities and very clean. Tea, coffee available all the time. Provided projector, flip chart etc. Great communications through booking process and would use again, thank you.
B. B.
Good basic hotel. Comfy clean bed, tea/coffee making facilities in room with a mini Chocolate bar left on your pillow - nice touch. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is basic but good.
F. M.
Ok from a value for money point of view, nice rooms, however avoid breakfast if possible.
M. W.
Nice comfy bed. Clean room. My only issues where: everything I touched fell apart soap dispenser, kettle, bedside lamp etc.
Breakfast was a disappointment wish I never got out of bed. The staff where really friendly and helpful however we asked for extra pillows... it took them about 4 hours which was real inconvenient cuz we had assumed they had forgot and I was balls deep in the mrs when they knocked.
E. M.
Was only there to drop someone off, but had a look at their room. It seemed fairly spacious and overall clean. The person at the desk was very helpful: made tea, went and got a menu from the place next door, and also offered to change the room from a twin to a double since they cost the same and only one person was staying.
S. T.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. Good location for lots of attractions all in walking distance. Clean comfortable room. Very friendly and helpful staff particularly on reception and an adequate breakfast. On site parking too. I recommend you try it
M.
This is a great hotel. I use it for gigs at the arena as it's 5 minutes walking distance, but it's about the same from Birmingham town centre. It's great value, clean and tidy with a car park at the back under the hotel, they do charge £13 for 24 hours in this which I think is well worth it.
The staff at the hotel are always helpful and polite and I would stay in this hotel anytime I needed to be in Birmingham.
L. H.
Very comfortable hotel with well appointed rooms and facilities. Needs a restaurant but the breakfast area was fine in the morning with an adequate breakfast provided. Great location for the City and Arena
A. H.
Great location but unfortunately there was no hand soap and the curtain was broken. Otherwise good stay and good price
G. H.
No complaints, it's an Ibis so the rooms are clean and functional without being exceptional. The hotel doesn't have much character but is relatively cheap and in an excellent location if attending the ICC (or even the city centre). Breakfast is fairly basic, coffee and toast for me.
K. P. (. S.
Good stay. Smart rooms and comfortable bed. Perfect location for our needs. Only spoiled by the fire alarm sounding, but at least it wasn't the middle of the night, it was 9am. Also a minor moan: the water pressure in the shower, on the top floor, was a bit weedy. Otherwise a good stay, good price, good location.
L. B.
Good value for money. Breakfast is a bit ropey, but staff went out of their way cant complain as it was bank holiday
D. P.
Excellent location, perfect size room with a good size tv, not the usual 14 inch pathetic one. Breakfast was an all you can eat continental one, which was nice. Car park wasn't included in the price, but was very convenient as under the hotel. Would stay there again.
G. M. K.
Close to the Bull Ring and Broad Street. Staff were very friendly and the room was spotless. Breakfast was OK. Really liked that they gave you complimentary use of the coffee machine(had all types of coffee including hot chocolate) and juice machine. I would definitely stay here again.
E. L.
Not the greatest but the rooms have all you need and the beds are very comfy. Breakfast is very basic, a little disappointing and don't attempt to do any work using the Wi-Fi, it's terrible. Tried multiple times to login in from different devices. Eventually got one phone online but it was so slow it was unusable.
s. d.
Booked as a birthday treat. Lovely helpful staff, clean basic room with excellent shower. Breakfast included, continental buffet style with plenty to choose from. Coffee machine serving free coffee/hot water for tea 24/7.
M. F.
Always very helpful and pleasant staff. Rooms are basic but clean. Good breakfast. Great location for both city centre and brindley place. Never stay anywhere else when we visit Birmingham
J. G.
Lovely staff, room was nice and modern, but dusty and shower pressure was terrible. Morning breakfast was not amazing, no warm for such as eggs or bacon, just bread, cornflakes and muffins really. But for the price of £45 it was a bargain
M. H.
Room was clean and cleaned daily, had to get my card for the door reactivated twice, would have been for a third time had another lady at reception not overheard and then got her to tap in the correct checking date. Breakfast consisted of toast, rolls, some fruit, ham or cereal which would do the job if it was cheap but not the price I paid.
L. E.
OK.
Very hard to get to this hotel due to road works and one way system.
It will b better to ring them first to get directions.
C. H.
Hotel itself was great, excellent location to get to the city centre and especially to the brindley place, ICC area. Good continental breakfast and nice rooms. Only problem we had was people making lots of noise at 3am, arguing and shouting. Not the fault of the hotel but still influences your opinion of the type of people staying here!
S. M.
In a convenient location, situated near arena Birmingham and not far from the city center, this contemporary hotel provides comfort and good service for a relatively low cost. The rooms are comfortable, clean and modern and the breakfast and WiFi are both free of charge
c. p.
Nice place in center of Birmingham with parking and great pub nextdoor, rooms were very hot, AC not very good and windows don't open.
C. H.
Friendly staff. Nice clean rooms. But we were hungry and ordered food in the evening. It was cold and not nice at all really. But the location was good and the staff nice
C. W.
Stayed here for 1 night as had concert in the arena. Really nice place. Staff very friendly. Rooms very nice. Breakfast great and tea and coffee on tap all night. Amazing place. Defo will book again
A. M.
Staff were particularly helpful and friendly.
A. B.
Hotel room is large enough for two comfortably, and there are free coffee facilities available. Staff were helpful, a perfectly adequate stay.
A. M.
Good value for money. Good location. Very friendly and helpful staff. We missed a cooked breakfast if anything. Room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower very good.
C. G.
Great budget hotel. Clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast was lovely. There's no restaurant in the hotel but plenty of places to eat within a 5 minute walk.
J. T.
Had a great stay there. Pretty basic but rooms are nice and clean. Lobby is big, small bar and not much food on offer but there's about a million places to eat in Birmingham :)
L. P.
This hotel is ok, but not great room service. It's clean, reason why it got 3* rating. Continental Breakfast in the morning aint the best. So don't waste your money including breakfast. Just go to a cafe or something.
L. C.
I was served on reception by Leah and Jared. They were very friendly Very helpful with all the questions I asked. The room was modern and very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. Great price and breakfast was included too.
Thankyou for a delightful stay.
J. E.
Staff member Amy on reception was amazing so kind and caring and we were very well looked after during our stay. Good breakfast, clean modern rooms and great rates
C. T.
I stayed here a few years ago with a friend we were going to a concert. It's in a good location very near the city centre The rooms are clean as is the rest of the hotel and the breakfast is good.
w. v.
Great hotel, perfectly situated for Broad Street, the bar is very small and breakfast is basic, but I’d definitely stay again, and the rooms are great.
Please note if you are looking for the car park, follow the road around to the back of the building.
s. l.
Same as holiday ill but cheaper
G. C.
Rooms were as anticipated, as advertised, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and services offered are above standard. Breakfast offers variety, free beverages all day. Great value.
R. T.
Stayed 1 night, 15th June, had a problem with the room key the staff on the reception were great😁 very friendly and very helpful.
1st customer service from the ladies on duty well done
Room was clean and tidy
A. J.
Really nice and clean hotel. Very very friendly and accommodating staff who were willing to bend over backwards for you! My girlfriend and I used this hotel for a night during the Christmas Markets and would highly recommend it to anyone ☺
B. R.
Clean room, breakfast was included and the shower worked. Friendly staff etc. Nice well kept hotel and good value! I did have a lovely view of a mouldy wall though.
R. L.
Very good hotel, clean + modern facilities and centrally located. Few minor complaints, 'breakfast' included no hot food, no bedside plugs (why do hotels still insist on doing this?!), finally parking is extortionate at £13!! There's a car park around the corner for £6/24 hours and on street parking in the area is free on Sundays.
P. T.
Great location. One of the better Ibis I have visited. Very clean. Breakfast was ample and the coffee good.
Staff during my visit were excellent and friendly and helpful.
Reckon it was good value. I visited on a Monday night
K. H.
room clean bed comfy and nice staff but breakfast was awful inedible
S. T.
It was OK. The room was clean if a little cramped with the bed and the sofa working as a bed.
The beds were not made very well and we had to remake the bed itself.
That said it was a great location and the room was quiet and clean.
S. A.
Conveniently located hotel for Birmingham city centre and within 12 minutes walk of New Street station. As such, well positioned for events at the arena and the NEC. Simple rooms with tea and coffee making facilities. Continental breakfast available to set you up for the day ahead. Definitely recommend this hotel.
M. M.
Beautiful hotel , breakfast was good , staff friendly and very helpful , nice idea free tea /coffee/juice in reception costumer's and sweets on the reception desk , would def go back to this hotel again , also lovely pub next door
B. R.
Clean, comfortable, welcoming staff and great food service. Recommend you pay this hotel a visit. For a budget hotel the service is on par of the more upmarket hotels and the cost of a room is very affordable.
P. B.
Excellent place, rooms clean and tidy, free hit drinks all day in foyer. Good selection at breakfast. 10 minutes walk to the Arena and idea location to explore the city. Has underground parking.
S. K.
Clean safe hotel. Very helpful reception staff. Wish they would look to include vegetarian hot food option for breakfast. E. G. Vegetarian sausage as most hotels now do.
M. B.
Stop moving the spoons! from receptions posh coffee machine
Lovely staff but we were chasing spoons, the alarms went off just before 7am and if you suffer with lower back pain and sleep on your side the beds may not be suitable
S. N.
Very comfortable and relaxing. Only issues was the heating wasn't working and I wasn't given milk with my tea/coffee in the room though this wasn't an issue for many. Over all really good
L. P.
A budget hotel in the city, decent shower, decent bed, breakfast included, decor is all in good order. Kids play area by reception, friendly team - what's not to like!
F. M.
Great hotel and location. Helpful and friendly Staff . Would be 5 stars but no veggie option for breakfast not even EGGS. Told I could have gluten free bread lol . X
W. D.
Simple nice hotel at a decent rate. I had to give it 4 stars based on a negative experience with dodgy Wi-Fi from O2 with marginal Skype performance. However very helpful and considerate staff.
A. B.
I really enjoyed the stay there. I was with my brother for two nights and everything was going fine. A good balance between quality and price!
s. m.
It was a budget hotel...it was fine... breakfast was included...getting there was a pain as they have dug up Birmingham...great position if visiting the arena...
G. L.
Friendly helpful staff ecellent room very comfy good food free tea and coffee etc whenever you want it all in all a great stay will definitely be coming back.
V. P.
Very good location. Clean and comfortable. The rooms are quite big. Otherwise, the breakfast is a little bit poor. I enjoyed a lot our visit to Birmingham with a group of friends.
H. W.
Comfy sleep and good breakfast but the showroom had a really aweful smell other than that everything was fine close to the centre and station too.
L. P.
Good size room. Excellent shower. Polite and helpful staff. Only 6 minutes walk to the centre. Wheelchair friendly
G. H.
Very good value. The room was quite basic but clean and comfortable.good breakfast. Can't ask for much more really.
M. F.
Checking in and out were both friendly and knowledgeable. Smiling welcoming faces and helpful attitudes are the norm here. Rooms are great - they're both clean and comfortable. Can't fault this place.
C. K.
Not going to complain, it was a budget hotel but I have to say it was clean, staff were young but still friendly, a ever basic continental breakfast. Car par expensive but secure as closed after 11pm with security monitoring.
J. B.
This hotel situated in the city centre.Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was neat and clean.
M. A.
I like this hotel. Lots of road/building works nearby make walking into the centre a little of a challenge. Quick and easy breakfast. Good rooms, and pleasant staff.
D. B.
We booked early for 49 quid. Very clean room, friendly staff, mostly cold breakfast buffet. Great value for money.
C.
Friendly staff, good sized rooms, nice breakfast. Only complaint is that the second bed in my room was a converted sofa bed which wasn't as comfortable as the full king sized bed.
S. J.
Great hotel close to Birmingham Centre and extremely close to the Barclycard Arena some resturants and bars close by. Downside was that the hotel had really bad phone service for some reason...difficulty in receiving and making calls also in using the internet. Could not connect to mobile data or the hotel wifi because of the bad network service
Q. S.
One of the best established hotels.
F. F.
I like that hotel. It is nice, modern, clean.
And it is close to center and far enough for a nice hike at the channels.
Breakfast has room for optimisation.
Price is moderate.
H. B.
Parking was annoying, other than that everything was awesome. Staff were VERY friendly and room was nice and clean. Got exactly what we payed for. Breakfast was very very small though.
M. B.
A great location with secure parking. Friendly staff. A stones throw from the canal and a fairly short walk to Brindley Place. A very nice pub next door. Ticked all the boxes for me.
f. g.
Hotel was lovely and quiet
Bonus points for the unlimited hot and cold drinks
Staff friendly
A bit disappointed with breakfast (not to my taste)
Would book again but not have breakfast
d. b.
We've stayed here twice in the last few months and had a great experience both times. Friendly helpful staff who even remembered us on sight on our second visit.
T.
Have just got back from staying at this ibis styles hotel and I can not recommended it highly enough. All the receptionist were polite and looked after all are needs especially Daisy who when we came back at 10.30pm very cold made us a hot chocolate to take to are room. The rooms were clean and welcoming and the continental breakfast was more than adequate I will definitely be back to stay again 😊
S. F.
Carpet dirty, lift smells of cigarettes. Room OK for the price. Some staff were unhelpful.
C. M.
Great location....only 5 mins away from n.i.a where we were attending a show! Rooms bigger than expected. Continental breakfast included which was basic but as it was free can't complain.
J. J.
Stayed here quite regularly Always greeted with a smile and staff are always very helpful. Nice rooms and excellent customer service.
K. F. J.
I like this hotel. Lots of road/building works nearby make walking into the centre a little of a challenge. Quick and easy breakfast. Good rooms, and pleasant staff.

S. D.
Absolutely great weekend with family made kids very welcome the breakfast was great.only down side the family Room s the pull out beds was as flat as a**** parking was great
J. D.
Rooms are good. Slept well. Breakfast room is too small with no spare tables which is a pain if you're antisocial in the morning like I am
T. J.

The staff is smiling and very helpful, the rooms are quite nice, too.
K. S.

Lovely hotel, very clean and well presented. Have been here on a few occasions and loved it each time would highly recommend

Good basic city centre hotel. Biggest disappointment is the incredibly poor wifi, which for a central location is not good enough as I'm here for business. On a positive note the staff are excellent
S. R.
Good location. Great value. The room was clean and comfortable. Had the added bonus of breakfast.
R. H.
Checked a whole group of us in without activating our keys. Rooms were fine when we got there. Comfortable beds

Not too far from the centre, basic but clean. Continental breakfast consisting of toast, croissants, ham cheese, yogurts, jam and tea and coffee included in the price.
f. s.
Big rooms and location is good but nothing more than these. No refrigerator in the room no balcony you cant open the window for fresh air and no shampoo,no slippers,no shower gel etc. Just a room to sleep...
R. H.
Great location, no noise outside, the beds were huge and the room had a nice powerful shower. Very happy
C. B.
Not as good a premier Inn but does have parking which is good for a city centre hotel. Room was clean and had enough room. Breakfast continental style very average.
E. P.
Parking not clearly marked or advertised by hotel. If you discover this on the day, you risk a parking fine whilst going on to ask where you should park. Car park address should be part of check in instructions.
K. B.
Great room, good parking. The reception staff were absolutely brilliant. Very pleasantly surprised!
C. A.
Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Rooms are clean. Shame about the roads in the surrounding area
m. k.
