I've stayed in this hotel on a few occasions. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Staff very helpful and friendly. Bedrooms are beautiful with floor to ceiling
windows and are exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast delicious and in lovely surroundings. Several dinner options. Very central location beside Symphony Hall and shopping. Reasonably priced.
Look forward to my next visit to this lovely hotel..

Great stay. Staff very professional, nothing too much bother at all. Got a complimentary upgrade on our check out time as we’d already booked spa services for the following day, not something we expected but was a brilliant touch.
Breakfast was okay, felt like we were being rushed with one colleague constantly asking if we’d finished. Went up to get hot breakfast and she was trying to clear the table which included a fresh tea pot, sauce just popped on table etc. This is the only reason I’m marking it down.

A brilliant stay from the get go!
I'd booked this hotel to then get Covid the week before. Hyatt was very considerate and so I changed the dates of the booking.
The hotel was stunning on entrance and staff very friendly. The pool was very nice and well looked after.
Our room was clean and larger compared to other hotels I'd stayed in for similar money.
Some how I managed to leave an item in the room and upon discovery I phoned Hyatt, who again, were very helpful and even posted the item back to me!
Henrietta and George are two of the names of very helpful and friendly staff that I dealt with.
Thankyou!!
I will stay here again and use other Hyatt locations without a doubt.
0 faults.

Nice looking hotel and well situated. The air con didn't work so was 23 degrees jn my room constantly. Breakfast was a good selection but the staff were slow at serving tea and coffee even when asked
E. D.
The room I stayed in was a bit small and the shower was in a bath but besides that the bathroom was in good condition and w as s very clean they also had a pool hot tub and steam room as well as a spa. One thing I was a bit shocked about was the price for breakfast for 2 people it was £40 for 2 people which in my opinion was way over priced when you could just walk round the corner to a weatherspoons and get breakfast for £8 for two people. Overall the room was great (even though it was a bit on the small side) and customer service was good as well.

Very good hotel. Would highly recommend. Spacious double rooms with good views over the canal. Very friendly and attentive staff. Fantastic bar and breakfast area. Once of the best breakfast selections I've seen.

Me and my sister spent Christmas here and had a wonderful time! Christmas Day dinner was glorious, with a variety of hot and cold foods and even had a build your own pasta station! The singer they hired was awesome and made spending Christmas in a hotel something magical.

Ask for the higher floors. Great views, super clean and wonderfully presented room. Lounge access is a must. Awesome offerings throughout the day. I was a regular here. Best hotel in Birmingham. Period

Overall is not bad, there is a SPA for hotel guests to use, location was good too, next to the canal.
But we have to change room, because the first room has a door connected to next door, therefore I can hear EVERYTHING happening next door.
Lift also got some problems, I have seen a lady stacked in the life for 5 mins because it just couldn't bring her to her floor.
Haven't try their restaurant because it's only 3.8 on Google Map and kinda expensive.
Some people got a free glass of prosecco on arrival, some people didn't get it, don't know why.
Price is about £144/night

First of all, there is no car park for guest at the hotel! Madness! We paid £54 for parking for 2× nights! Ridiculous price! Hyatt hotel, prestige as it is, they should offer free parking. We were just about satisfied with our stay. The room didn't have the basics, we had to call down for this. I can go on but ill stop here.

Nice room, the lighting could’ve been brighter though (room very dark). Good location, good swimming pool however unfortunately sauna wasn’t working and the jacuzzi was cold. Overall a stunning hotel
T. B.
Fabulous hotel, food was fantastic, lovely rooms. Big thank you to Sandra who was working in the regency lounge, she made our night! She’s an Absolute diamond

Attended a conference here and found the facilities excellent. The first floor concourse area served as a light and airy meeting place to enjoy a coffee before proceedings started.
Found the most convenient parking to be the council owned paradise circus multi story which is only a five minute walk away (£7 for 6 hours at the time of writing)

The front of house staff were excellent, however the room looked a bit tired, the Bathroom looked like it could do with an in depth clean (black mould on the tiles by the shower) and the bath/shower plug hole was blocked, not something I would expect from the Hyatt.
The breakfast was very good however had to wait until I was nearly finished before the coffee was served.
This stay was a disappointment compared to my last stay here, I'm undecided if I will book here again.
D. B.
Great location. Good 23/7 gym. Good length pool with sauna. The bar was comfortable too. Sky tv in the rooms. Breakfast was okay - there are options for breakfast in Birmingham centre , the eggs are top drawer at York's in Stephenson st
P. G.
Cup on tea tray was chipped. 2 bedroom lights didn't work properly. Carpet stained in several places. Emergency torch not working and kettle didn't switch off automatically. Rather disappointing for a renowned hotel chain.
C.
Great staff and lobby. Room was good. Pool closed at 7pm which was a shame and didn't open until 11am next day. Would stay again.
K. x.
Nice hotel let down by house keeping who didn't clean room properly or refill the coffee and sugars on a daily basis also on first day toiletries where the leftovers from previous guest main restaurant Nice but not a lot of choice complained to duty manager when checking out on the 14th she said that she would email me after management meeting still waiting for that i consider that poor customer service
A. D.
Rooms were nice and comfortable with good views from the 17th floor of Birmingham. Common areas are a nice place to relax, staff a little slow at the bar when it gets busy. Breakfast was decent, plenty of choice. We were attending an event at the ICC, there is a covered walkway from the hotel to the ICC.
S.
Good not great. Pool not family friendly nor 'not strong swimmer' friendly as its 1.7m all round other than the stairs.
Room tables were scratched. It's a 4star hotel so expect more mint condition.
Check out time was 12pm but the keys stopped working 20mins before check put which was a pain as i couldnt get into the room to finalise my things so had to come down to reception to fix.
Calling room service was a pain as they hardly answered in my experience.
It is a decent hotel but i personally don't think it's worth the price.
One socket was loose so made it dangerous for my kids. I did tell front desk but they did nothing.
The best thing about it is the staff (can't lie they were pleasant) and the locatios brilliant.

A very glamorous looking hotel. My partner booked us two nights away for my birthday- we had a king bed room with high views. We parked nearby as did not realise the hotel offered parking- I think it is 27.00 for 24 hours if I'm right? The car park seems a little crowded so I don't know if you'd be guaranteed a space or not. This hotel is classed as a luxury hotel- I agree. We paid an awful lot to stay here for 2 nights- I think it would have cost the same to go abroad. I love having a full english/continental breakfast when I go away; I mean who doesn't? However, this wasn't even included in the price. So you pay an extortionate amount to stay here and then have to pay an extra 20 pound per person for breakfast. If you go around the corner( A one minute walk) there's a wetherspoons, it's not the same but MUCH cheaper. The hotel didn't seem too busy, we checked in quickly. The room was lovely, could have done with a few more different varieties of teas/more. Overall, a lovely stay. But for the price I don't think I would return- especially when breakfast isn't included. I usually like having a walk around hotels but didn't feel like I could do this here.

The Hyatt Regency is conveniently located in central Birmingham in the heart of the Arts district. During my visits, I was treated extremely well. There was an minor issue with reservation and one of the shift managers, Cesar, made sure my stay was comfortable by offering me a bottle of Prosecco for my trouble. Certainly, this was a wonderful touch from management. I have gotten to know the staff well at this location. I must point Jinnel out because of her professionalism and customer care. She is very knowledgable and engaging, and always adds a human touch. She gave great coffee suggestions in the city and was always checking to see if my stay was comfortable. Adiba, Karen and Naura were also very helpful. There are multiple languages spoken at this hotel which is definitely a plus. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice getaway. If there an issue with your stay be sure to bring it to their attention. Victor was very helpful. Also, their valet was fantastic with me when I showed up late for my check in. They helped me by bringing the luggage to my room while I completed my check in. They always greet me with a smile whether its Security, Valet, Housekeeping etc.
There was an issue with my heating and when I reported it to staff it was handled promptly. I was offered two options: a different room for my trouble, or waiting for the engineer to resolve this issue. I chose the later. When I got back from my morning stroll the heating was working perfectly. Other recommendations I would suggest would be visiting the newly built Library or The Hippodrome for the Arts. They have certainly earned my trust.

Great hotel. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Would recommend

We came here for afternoon tea to celebrate a special occasion. The staff were professional and welcoming providing a superb service. The Aria restaurant is an attractive, bright airy space with a modern vibe. Soft music provides a calm atmosphere. They cater for most diatory requirements and the selection of cakes, scones and sandwiches are fresh and delicious. One of our family had another engagement afterwards and a member of the reception team assisted with a 'dress issue', which was truly amazing- thank you so much for the help. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

I really thought the hotel would be more organised and cleaner than It was. We arrived there at 2pm on the Saturday and there was food outside rooms and it was still there when we left on the Sunday at 12 noon
The shower was not clean and the bar was not organised and had ran out of most drinks on the Saturday afternoon
g. l.
Nice hotel room was clean the poor staff we when for a drink in the bar and it seem to be no one working in there the manager that was working was very lazy and it was bad to see had the staff members running around as he stand there and the kitchen staff over worked the staff seem the be very down but my stay was great will be going back
G. B.
Great hotel with attentive staff. Great views from the higher floors, across Birmingham City Centre

Great staff made me feel welcome great food
Great drink. A venue that is par excellence
P. R.
Nice hotel with a great view (from the 40th for anyway). Only used the room so can't really comment on the other facilities, but was in a good location for stumbling back from a night out at the Utilita Arena.
L. Y.
Nice hotel - your best to book a club room. Great staff but lacking in general cleaning. Dust everywhere.
R. B.
My no.1 Love in Birmingham is the Hyatt hotel broadstreet. Pay a little above the basic room and stay on floor 23 The Club Hyatt rooms. Try to get a room facing the canal. I could sit all day looking out through the total glass wall, it's a dream. Hotel offers everything you need, go there, switch of and relax and soak it all in.

It was really great to know Nozurul nar attendant who went to serve me with a great Professionalism and caring he was so lovely gentleman who really gave me positive thoughts and make me feel Home by providing such a great service that i will never forget. Well done to haytt for Recruiting such good people who are kind n great hospitality team members
J. T.
Reception staff lovely, The bathroom floor was filthy and general cleanliness was not great. Standards have definitely slipped since my last stay
R. D.
Room good. Bar shuts a to early if you have been to an event and fancy a night cap... breakfast OK.
d. w.
Check in ,wanted 40 pounds deposit on arrival, found half opened can in the room and coffee stick on floor,we was on floor 6,ok size room,I feel quite expensive when there are lots of other hotels in the area.
D. C.
On arrival lovely warm greeting, very helpful staff. Check in quick and efficient .Room complete will all amenities, very clean and put up bed already made for child. Great views. Staff helped with organising taxis and local advice about were to go. Unfortunately a problem with no hot water and closed pool tarnished the stay but the front desk were very professional and apologetic about the situation and discounted the bill accordingly with 2 free complementary breakfasts would not hesitate to stay again.

Greatly enjoyable peaceful place welcoming all the diverse people families and children of the world 👍💐🌍🌺🌎
Excellent customer service with humane leadership 👍❤️🏆💐
Accessible by almost all transport means easily.
Good hotel, Pubs, road ways and wide parking places are plentiful.
Children's entertainment is also easier around.🌷🌺👍

Lovely views, nice chamber maiden, location and comfort room. However it's not a walk-in shower, but a,bath.

We have just stayed in the hotel for three days. It was for our wedding anniversary. The pool was broken which was a shame but the jacuzzi and stream room were lovely. The shower in our room was broken but reception were very helpful.
But the biggest compliment has to go to Sandra, she was so welcoming, kind, friendly and an absolute pleasure to be around she made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. What a credit to the hotel she is.
P. C.
Great spa weekend. Staff extremely friendly, i used the pool, had hot stone massage, used the gym. Breakfast had a good selection. The views are great. Clean, comfy room. Ill be coming here again and will bring my family next time.

Check in:
Reception staff were slow and tried to
bargain with the breakfast. 'if you do it now the kid will eat free'. Didn't like the wording and don't expect sales pressure during a holiday in the UK. Very wierd.
Room:
Was a bit dated and old. Normal facilities as expected. TV didn't work. Tap was broken. Good pressure on the shower. Their promise to sanitise everything was not evident in the room. Sanitation wipes would be a good addition in the room incase I wanted to redo anything. No child robes or slippers which was a shame.
Single bed in family room was horrendously uncomfortable and springy. Main bed was OK and large.
Bathroom products were all expired.
Breakfast:
Breakfast was served late. Restaurant opened at 7:20am and not all the food was out. There was no halal sausages. Not everything was out and we left at 7:45. This made us late for the rest of the day. Restaurant staff were not overly helpful as I'm guessing they were too busy setting up. From previous experiences at other hotels breakfast is usually 95% prepared before it opens.
Facilities:
Pool was ice cold. Very, very cold. Warm pools cost money I guess and hotel felt like it was being very frugal.
Steam and sauna was OK.
Jacuzzi was 10mins on and 10mins off. Heat was good.
Check out:
Checkout was slow as reception was unmanned.
Overall not a 4/5* experience you would expect.
Parking:
£27 for a full day in their car park. It's small and limited spaces. Also if you move the car your space is not reserved so might pay £27 for no reason as you won't have a space when your back.
Another car park next door which is cheaper but again limited spaces.
Spaces available on the street which was OK if you are arriving late and checking out early. Cheapest option.
Lots of large multistory car parks are within 10mins walking distance. Would like to see a discount from the hotel is other car parks used.
The doorman was friendly and polite but was not wearing a badge or anything to identify him as hotel staff which was confusing and I didn't know if he was a guest, fraudster or staff.
Location:
Decent location, 14min walk from bull ring and main town.
Very close to library and fountain. Looks like a new team station is being built next door which could be useful.
Building works happening opposite, although was not noisey when I went in August 2021 it was unsightly view from the room.
F. H.
Really lovely stay. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Rooms were nice and quiet with a lovely view. The hotel is very family friendly too.
L.
Room a bit cold on arrival, didn't take long to warm up though. Easy check in and staff very welcoming.
D. S.
Great location, breakfast was very nice, hotel staff very friendly. Room was a little bit below par for Hyatt hotels and the car park had limited spaces and was super expensive.
A. T.
Hotel is luxurious and situated in the heart of Birmingham city, not far from the new street, parking is a pain but you can park in the mailbox and walk
R. Z.
Not too bad, expected more cleanliness. The furniture in the room was very worn down so was the bathroom.
D. A.
The workers here were amazing help but the hotel has fallen into disrepair, the owners need to work with their employees.
P. R.
Excellent meeting venue. Superb private dining. Excellent meal... simply superb mains and dessert.
M. S.
In my opinion this is an old and tired hotel. They should not advertise as 4/5 star. If they do, they would need to step up their services. We understand during covid they may have issues, but the night we stayed in they were fully booked but not enough customer care.
N. S.
Nice hotel. Service was OK. Christmas works do so staff were stretched food could of been hotter.
N. H.
Lovely Hotel, great staff and very well located

This hotel was in a great location, the staff were good but housekeeping wasn't up to par.
P. V.
Overall our stay was good. We had few issues during our stay but the staff was quite helpful and resolved all our concerns.
I would stay again. Quite reasonable priced and have spa as well with no access fee.

What a pleasant classy hotel. It was spacious, the staff very very helpful and polite. The place to be seen!

Excellent service from staff, especially the night manger Muntaha.
I suggest you pay the extra for breakfast as its well worth it!

Greeted by staff for send of party who were helpful and pleasant .
Food was not as spicy as I would like but tasty and plenty of it . Dessert varied & very tasty .
All in all a very happy celebration ,amongst good company and wonderful surroundings. .

Just leave this review to thank your team's help. We reckon your team at the reception are very friendly, kind and helpful.
Hope we will come to your hotel for one afternoon tea soon!
Thanks again and see you again in the future!
D. R.
Excellent Hotel, fridge and bathroom were not cleaned very well, so had to be moved to a slightly less dirty bathroom
D. A. H.
Positives:
Great location. Room was spacious and furnished to a high standard. Amazing views of the city. Breakfast was good (apart from coffee). Has spa and pool onsite. Staff were attentive and courteous.
Negatives:
Due to 'COVID' rooms not cleaned during stay and staff are not allowed to assist with guest's luggage (We're not stupid Hyatt. We know you just want to save money) Nespresso machine in room but with cheap non Nespresso pods provided. Pool was super cold and despite complaining to staff nothing was done about it. At breakfast only served bad coffee in jugs as coffee machine was broken. £27 per day for onsite parking...
K.
The Covid related precautions are well implemented. The location is great. Staff was friendly. The views from top floors are great too. However the air conditioning is automatic for all the rooms and we could not adjust the temperature to our liking. Went there on a bright sunny day and was sweating inside the room.
c. l.
Lovely place staff were more then helpful, wasn't given the exact room that we booked with canal view and high floor but was still a great night
C. K.
Always enjoy staying at this hotel, a lovely well appointed hotel with good facilities

Pretty average
Stayed here over the second May bank holiday (Sunday to Monday) for one night. Before arriving we already knew parking would be an issue which was fine, we parked at 5 ways carpark which was a 10 minute walk away for £8 overnight. Upon arrival, we were given champagne, whilst waiting in a fairly long queue to check in. We waited 25 minutes to check in and were placed on the 10th floor. We asked about the pool and obviously due to COVID we expected there to be some restrictions but we were told there was no availability for our whole stay. This was very disappointing and we eventually managed to go to the pool the next day after breakfast but this was just be luck and going down there when a session time started. However, the pool was dated, cold, very deep for children (168cm) so didn’t feel worth it. However, the room we stayed in was lovely, clean, quiet and spacious and the breakfast was tasty. We chose this hotel due to location and the reputation but we found it to be very average for a reputable hotel.
J. K.
For the price of £154 I expected better than what I got. I didn’t feel excited to take any pictures at the hotel.
A.
Excellent staff and location, but in my opinion the hotel feels tired and worn and isn't up to the standard I'd expect for a hyatt. It was also quite noisy whilst we were there.
S. A.
I was very much looking forward to Afternoon Tea at the Hyatt at the cost of £25 pp. My friend who's disabled was not able to get in as easily, the wheelchair entrances were barred with a motorbike on one side and a USV on the other!... Once we were in we then found out that the lift was not working so we couldn't go to the restaurant, so we were seated at the entrance!!... The Afternoon Tea; pickles in the sandwiches was salty, the cheese was hard, the tea was luke warm and we had to ask for spoons for the cakes!... Not a good experience I'm afraid!... The one good thing was the young staff were friendly and helpful....
J. H.
Only 3rd day of opening post lockdown...everything had been done very well to ensure Covid safety rules were followed. Staff genuinely pleased to see people and be of service. Rooms are well equipped, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, bottles of water, tea and coffee making facilities. Bathrooms still have all the "bits" you need! Only criticism ..bedroom was very hot and room air con did nothing to cool it down.
Went to show at B'ham Rep ..which you can see from the hotel so fantastically placed.
C. B.
A bit dated with the interior, parking is expensive. Room was large, bathroom needed a bit of TLC.
T. R.
This hotel is quite strange as it's both 'up-market' as it calls itself and as average as a travel lodge depending on what you're experiencing at the time.
Pros: So close to the ICC. You couldn't be closer unless you slept in there which I think they frown upon. The breakfast is pretty decent with a wide selection of items and some 'made to order' items too. The bathroom toiletries were nice.
Cons: The cleanliness needs some work in the rooms - stains on the sheets and debris left over from the last guest on the carpet. The bed was a good size but not overly comfortable. All of the fixtures in the bedroom were very dated. The hairdryer was as powerful as another person blowing on your hair.
All in all if being close to the ICC is important then I would stay here again. If not, for the same price there are nicer hotels in the area - or just as nice for less.
C. B.
Large room, Staff are friendly and Good Service. Good Location for shop and restaurant. Kids love swimming 🏊♀️ pool.
Great breakfast.
J. S.
Great spa weekend. Staff extremely friendly, i used the pool, had hot stone massage, used the gym. Breakfast had a good selection. The views are great. Clean, comfy room. Ill be coming here again and will bring my family next time. Also (walking distance) close to all you need in Birmingham, bars and entertainment one way and shopping the other way.
O. R.
We really enjoyed our stay in Birmingham and the Hyatt has a perfect location. We walked the canal and the library square/Hall of Memory as well as taking a tour of other historical buildings. This was such a peaceful location too. Clearly city planners are making some good choices re. Pedestrianisation and trams. We ate well at Chung Ying and Urban Cafe.
S. P.
This is the best hotel in Birmingham, full stop. The brand, the class, the staff, the building, the rooms, the views, the location. The whole package is just incredible.
Also don't be suprised to bump into the celebrity here. I have met more celebs here than all the other hotels combined. The whole Liverpool cricket team, Paula Radcliff, Cheryl Cole, Andrew Flintoff, Kevin Pieterson, Rico Verhoeven, the list is endless.
The breakfast is simply superb. The variety and the quality is just another level. The service from staff, the spa facilities, the floor to ceiling glass panel rooms, I can go on all day.
The Presidential suite includes a piano, jazucci, dinning table for 10 people. Need I say any more?

This hotel is Amazing
The views are out of this world
T. K. Z.
Rooms slightly outdated, only one lamp worked so it was very dim. When trying to call room service or concierge to assist with an issue, there was no answer at all.
J. L.
Tired rooms, tired hotel. Looks great from outside. Inside are struggling to rise up after CoVid. Public area toilets not cleaned over 24hr period, disgustingly filthy. Green lumpy scrambled eggs served at breakfast. Management tried telling us this was normal as if we’d never had them before. Should lose their 5-star status. Hotel issued full refund after staying an awful night, though still charged for our food and the £54 parking fee for the two nights we should have stayed. Needs cash investment and strong leadership. Other hotels locally don’t appear to be struggling to get staff.
L. N.
Modern front end but low quality on rooms
R.
Loved this place the first time with big window looking over the city, went back to create same memories.

good location, just next to ICC and Birmingham Library

Great hotel. Highly recommend

It's a nice hotel with good location and amenities. The staff are great and the service is warm, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are ok, some items are starting to show their age and feel a bit dated. Housekeeping could be improved due to dust on the light fixtures.

The bed was great, very comfy. Extra blankets, reading armchair. I really liked the room and the bathroom. Shame toiletteries are not toxic-frew and still In plastic. Room service was fast. Buffet breakfast was great, with fresh fruit and smoked salmon . Nice place to stay.
t. d.
The hotel is in a superb location and the rooms are clean and comfortable. My only negative experience was checking out. It was at 9.15 am and there was only one person on reception for 20plus minutes. This lead to a queue forming and a long wait at a peak check-out time. Being a major international brand this is shoddy and I am surprised there is not an Express Check-Out option
C. W.
Such a nice hotel. Restaurants were lovely, good was great with some large portions available at the pub. Breakfast was great. Room was about what you would expect from the Hyatt. However the halls of my floor smelled like there has been a pretty bad toilet leak.
S.
Enjoyed using the pool facilities. And the viee from our room was beautiful. You do need to pay slightly more for spa services bear that in mind. Friendly staff. Room has all basic amenities. We stayed comfortably.
S. S.
Stayed here 2 nights. The parking is a major issue if customers are arriving with their car. It's very inconvenient and extremely expensive for the parking so unfortunately dampens some of the staying experience. The hotel is clean and sophisticated, many complimentary items. Staff were helpful. The swimming pool is very very cold strangely and we noticed many people who found it cold and used the jaccuzi and sauna instead. Overall experience good but because of the pool and parking I'm not sure if we would visit again. The heating is also questionable, quite cold in the room, if the weather's good, location is good in middle of town.
M. S.
Well appointed rooms. Polite service. Good choice of breakfast although it's very expensive to get separately to the room if you don't have it booked for your at the same time as the room. One more, a sausage was a little pinker than I'd like. For reasons of illness, I needed to stay an extra night after I'd already checked out and the staff were really very helpful. The salad option on the room service menu was surprisingly brilliant.
s. H.
We only used the Hotel bar on this visit, however based on our visit, it was great. The ambience is perfect, the drinks reasonably priced and with a good selection. The bar staff were friendly and helpful while providing a great service and the chaps at the front were kind enough to park my car for me and in general we had a great time. I would always recommend this place.
B. S. S.
Amazing service from staff at the front desk especially Christa who upgraded our room she was polite and very nice. The hotel is very clean and all the staff are polite and very helpful. The pool area with sauna and steam is brilliant, but the Jacuzzi was not working. Brilliant location for central Birmingham and access onto canal and town. Thank you Hyatt, keep up the good customer service.
S. D.
The hotel itself was fantastic.. staff friendly and helpful. Room was stunning and peaceful.. the club lounge exquisite. The reason I didnt give 5stars was..... wen we came back too the hotel loads of people were congregate round the front entrance smoking taking no notice of the NO SMOKING signs. Sorry Hyatt but cant stand smoking
A. J. S.
A nice hotel ...
I like that it connects with the convention center. It’s also worm and the lobby is luxurious. The staff are friendly.
Rooms are not as fancy as you would expect. Construction is in your window view ... breakfast buffet needs more variety. As a Muslim I could only eat bread, eggs and fruits ... I wish there were some halal options especially that Birmingham has a considerable Muslim population.
F.
The room was okay, very standard and nothing exciting, missing some things that we had to ask for. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Main issue was that our entire NON SMOKING floor stink of weed. We reported it to staff who put a deodorising fan on the floor but didnt seem to deal with it any further as it was still there in the morning. It made our room smell too which wasnt a great experience. I would stay again mainly due to the location but I would shop around also.

Service at this hotel was amazing! On arrival we were offered a deal to upgrade our room and had a few extra perks added in. The VIP room on the 22nd floor was such great bonus, it reminded me of an airport lounge with unlimited canapés and drink from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The food and views were 10/10!!
If you're staying here for a few days I do recommend visiting this room, really good atmosphere and the service was great.
Overall, the stay was a great experience and was only a short walk to the Bullring arena.

Very good stay. They did forget some arrangements for my room but was quickly amended by friendly staff. Lovely big rooms. pool very good and the 'Crownie' dessert was heaven.

An awesome hotel in a great location. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The check in went smoothly and the front desk people were very helpful and pointed out a few spots of interest in the area. The lobby is sectioned, which makes it feel larger and breakfast is served in the lobby area as well as other areas. Breakfast isn't the largest, but definitely is enough to get you going. The rooms are spacious, great views are had on whichever side you find yourself on. Great hotel.
B. W.
Very nice hotel. Well decorated, clean, friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and have everything you neeed; the higher floors have great views. Conveniently situated; just round the corner from Broad Street, and walking distance to central Birmingham and the Mailbox. There are limited parking spaces outside but many other car parks nearby. Facilities include an excellent swimming pool.

Gorgeous but busy business hotel. There is always a lot of activity when you arrive at the hotel, from valet to Reception. The valet folks are sometimes lazy and stand around doing nothing when they should be helping guests. The entrance to the hotel could also be a little cleaner to give off a better first impression. The inside of the hotel is beautiful but as mentioned, its a typical, busy, business hotel in the centre of town (tucked away on a quieter street though). There are always plenty of taxis at the stand outside the hotel. The rooms are a decent size and recently renovated although sound proofing is horrible and you could often hear couples being amorous at all hours. The bathrooms are ok although the showers are older and could do with an upgrade. The Atrium lobby bar night waiter (black guy in his early 30s or so) was extremely rude and clearly bored with his life and especially his job, it would seem. The staff in the Gentleman & Scholar Pub and Terrace on the other hand, were fantastic although the establishment gets extremely busy. The restaurant has terrific ambiance, however, the menu could definitely do with an upgrade as there is nothing that was different or exciting on it. Overall, i enjoy staying at this hotel.

I was visiting this hotel to use the bar area for a meeting with some colleagues. The seating area was comfortable and we were not disturbed. Bizarrely it was impossible to open a tab and everybody has to pay for their drink as they went along which was extremely inconvenient and highly unusual. The policy was explained to me as being in reaction to a £1500 loss the previous month from unpaid bills. A poor reason in my opinion and one easily solved by every business that first runs the card, or takes the card to return when you settle the bill. Still, overall it was a good experience, but far, far, lower than any other Hyatt proper I've visited.
D. M.
Great location. Very friendly staff. Good selection at breakfast and my 7 year old daughter loved the spa and pool. Room was a good size, only negative is the bathroom looked a little tired in places. Would certainly return.
T. M.
I am so pleased with this hotel that I'm submitting a second review. I have heard others speaking of it lately and have also found it to be an excellent hotel, lovely renovation. With the most helpful, cordial staff imaginable. International service but a neighborhood feel.
A. M.
Four starts hotel in an excellent location despite the annoying roadworks. Warning welcome with some queues o. Weekend, common areas very busy but comfortable. In the rooms, views are great, pity the canal area is not illuminated enough when dark. Bathrooms need some revamping, specially the shower jet that is fixed. Room housekeeping is slow and demotivated to achieve. Underperformibg in the close customer services for the Hyatt standard. A good option to sleep in the city centre despite all, a bit pricey for what you get.
A. A.
Extremely nice place. It was enjoyable 4 days.
Hotel is well located, room was comfortable with beautiful sunrise and nice view on the town.
Comfortable bed. Breakfast is fulfilling, only minus were queueing for breakfast for half an hour.
Pool is a good addition to the comfort, spacious, but unfortunately one of the visits was spoiled by extremely high chlorine! Eyes were burning, was impossible to use.
Overall me and my kid enjoyed Hyatt Birmingham .
By the way , the price was very , very reasonable!!!

Our family of 2 adults and 3 very lively boys under six years old have had a great overnight stay in adjoining rooms with plenty of space and very comfortable beds. The staff are efficient and courteous and we enjoyed a late lunch in the the bar and the kids ran free and no one complained! So an excellent hotel for families as our kids certainly had a great time! The view from our bedrooms over the enormous building site was something completely different!! But beware it was a nightmare to find the hotel (we'd never been to Birmingham) because of all the construction works and road closures, but totally worth it! We'll be back......

This is a top notch hotel, staff very polite and attentive, my room was on the17th floor so I had a pretty interesting view from the floor to ceiling windows. Room was exceptionally clean an spacious and most importantly the bed was very comfortable. Dressing gown, slippers & good toiletries included. My stay was to attend a concert at the symphony hall which was literally next door so a safe option for someone alone.
K. B.
One of the few first class hotels I've been to and everything fits into place. Was most impressed by the silverware, so shiny it would make a perfect mirror. From arriving at the door to going into the hotel it was like a being greeted by your own family.
Excellent service all round.
L. S.
Ame here for a company conference. The hotel is beautiful, the facilities are kept clean and tidy. The conference rooms are well air conditioned. The lunch provided was beautiful. The he staff tend to your every need.
B. S.
It was OK! Rooms are nice but a tad small. Breakfast was smaller than I'd imagine. Room service is ultra expensive. Nice staff however, didn't try out the pool and gym but will do next time.
S. C.
Not keen on buffet breakfast and sharing serving spoons ..
G. B.
This is a superb city-centre hotel, ideal for business or pleasure. Excellent public spaces - lounge with PCs & internet, restaurant, bar 'til late. Extra large rooms. All the staff are incredibly polite & efficient (I called housekeeping to ask for an extra blanket and it was brought to my room in about 5 minutes). Remember to bring your swim suit if you want to make the most of the facilities.

I got the opportunity to stay here for a couple of nights on new years eve and day.
The hotel looks nice and is in a good location. However, the service received was not of a good standard.
Arrival:
Firstly, when I arrived, I was told by the concierge that I could not park In the hotel car park as they apparently had no space, this was obviously not true as I did see a handful of spots that were available when I questioned this I was told they were reserved disabled spots... I then explained that my partner was unable to walk long distances due to an injury and was advised that the alternative car park was just 'around the corner and a 3-minute walk' and that I could drop my partner and bags in the lobby. Having no choice I left the car park only to find the concierge offer a spot to a more flashy car than mine. in addition to this that 4 min walk was actually 10 minutes...
Hotel Room:
The rooms were nice and fully furnished and reception staff was polite, unlike the concierge.
Cleaning and staff:
staff across the building were polite and helpful, I asked for some slippers and they came promptly.
Cleaning on new years was not done until 7 pm. Really not pleased to find my room not cleaned and freshened up after I returned back.
I had a quick nap only to be woken up to someone whistling in my bathroom.. turns out it was the cleaner.. who did not notice I was in bed... very traumatic experience. In addition to this on two separate occasions, my door was opened without staff knocking prior to opening it... which I found absolutely frustrating.
Breakfast:
Breakfast service was fast to get seated. However, the quality of breakfast and service was absolutely ridiculous. Firstly the variety was very poor in comparison to other 4 star hotels in the area and not worth the premium price.
I had ordered fried eggs and pancakes. My pancakes arrived cold 30 mins after I ordered them and my eggs did not come at all. I notified staff 3 times only to be told they 'were coming and the kitchen staff was busy'. After waiting an hour I gave up the wait and headed to reception to make a formal complaint. I was then told that I could not get a refund now or any other days I was staying as I had already pre-booked breakfast. which was a shame, I was told that I could get free room service and that there would be no charges. However, when I checked my invoice I had seen I was charged.
Overall to sum up my experience not what I expected from a 4-star hotel. Fair enough, its new years but seriously disappointed with the concierge, housekeeping and the premium breakfast I paid for. However, I can say the views are nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. the Birmingham group definitely falls behind standards compared to other hotels part of the Hyatt group I have stayed at.
Hope my feedback helps and I hope you don't experience the same service I did.
M.
Great hotel in centre of Birmingham located right at the heart of the canal and broad street areas. Perfect if your heading to the arena.
Staff and facilities were great, typical hyatt standard with a splash of luxury as always. Stayed in a suite and it had great views of the canal.
Breakfast was worth it, buffet style help yourself but enough produce for anyone. Breakfast area was a little small and on the first day was full so had to sit in the foyer.
Great stay and will most certainly return

What an outstanding hotel the rooms in here were absolutely beautiful we had a sweet and it was fantastic. the bar and atmosphere in the downstairs at this hotel was electric and immense it made our evening before you went over to the international convention centre for our Christmas party I will definitely stay in this hotel again. also the bridge from the hotel to the international convention centre is amazing when it's raining as you don't get wind blow.
A. K.
Lovely staff, amazing clean rooms, meeting rooms, reception area and breakfast. Room I had was spacious, clean, good views. Staff were really helpful, courteous and professional. Only dropped a star sue to the sincere lack of parking. You have to park in a 24 hour NCP or QPark which costs about £19 for 24 hours. Other than that perfect!
S. M.
Rooms average for 4star hotel, but clean. The water took forever to go down bath, but was late at night so didn't get someone to look, and only stayed one night. No biscuits with coffee which always a nice touch. Breakfast was okay, the pastries kept going due certain families piling plates high, then coming back for more. No hash browns, and porridge was wattery. Having said that staff made the hotel, nothing was too much trouble, polite and helpful, specially Monique at breakfast and Laura at reception who helped us move room as first one was too noisy- canal side! Look out for the £40 deposit they ask for ontop of room price, goes back into account about 3 days later!
A. L.
A really nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. I was here for a workshop so only made use of the meeting rooms but I left with very good impressions of the hotel. Facilities were top notch and the lunch provided was good. The communal areas (bars, restaurants and reception) were all nicely laid out and decorated.

Stayed for a single night on Hyatt points. We arrived late but we're helped by the concierge who managed to squeeze our car in for parking, the front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful. The room was on the 21st floor with fantastic views over the city centre. We also used the club lounge for drinks and the service in their even late at night was great. The room service was also quick, my wife's all the greens salad was wonderful. The downsides are noise some from other hotel guests coming back after a night out (it was Friday after all) but also from outside - it is surprising how much carried up to us from Broad Street. Breakfast in the morning was also very nice and again the staff were very friendly. We would stay here again but perhaps ask for a room at the far end of the corridor to keep the noise down.
H. A.
I came here for afternoon tea and left very happy not only with the service but also the food. Afternoon tea was very nice and I appreciated that there were unlimited hot drinks available. The staff were extremely friendly and pleasant throughout. This is a great place to attend.
T. N.
Very nice hotel in central Birmingham... possibly the only decent one!? Not quite perfect, but good guest rooms and facilities, as well as function rooms and common spaces. Excellent team, doing all they can to help with anything and everything.
J. G.
Great hotel at perfect location if you are attending an event at ICC. There is an air bridge from the hotel directly to the facility meaning no warm coats are needed and no need to cross a busy street. The twin beds room has no walk-in shower which is a big downside. Adults should not have to "climb into" a tub to have a shower at a top hotel.
PS They do not have a ticket system to store luggage if you are leaving for the airport a few hours after checkout. It is simply put in an outside room and guests pick their own luggage to retrieve their bags leaving much room for possible errors and lost luggage!
N. R.
Wonderful hotel.... lovely staff
S.
Dealt with a very helpful lady today called Christa. She helped to manage and rearrange my booking and her customer service and attitude was amazing. I have stayed here before and it is the best hotel I’ve stayed in, in the entire UK. My first and only choice for hotels in Birmingham. Brilliant rooms and brilliant service.
J. J.
The Hyatt is a fantastic hotel, adding a bit of extra glamour to my stay right in the centre of Birmingham. The decor is stylish, opulent and I always love a piano bar! The staff were attentive and helpful during my time here and I'd have no problem at all in recommending this hotel to anyone.
L. B.
The room was very warm and mainly spent time sleeping as we had just come back from Kos the dining area was fabulous. Reception staff very friendly and chatty had good bants with my boyfriend. Breakfast was 5* no complaints. Good place to book for wedding/receptions and big party functions.

Lovely hotel, excellent service and a truly delicious breakfast.
I am often travelling for work, so stay in hotels a lot, but thought it was worth highlighting how nice this one is. There was a loud group of girls behind me checking in, so I was dreading being in the next room to a hen party of some sort, but fortunately didn't have that to deal with. Room was nice, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was very well appointed and had a nice powerful shower.
They've gone down a similar route as Hilton regarding the TV channel choices, which was disappointing, but wasn't there long as it's conveniently located for bars and restaurants of Brindley Place. After a lovely meal out, we came back and had some more drinks in the very tasteful bar downstairs.
Last thing - breakfast was excellent. Much better than the standard hotel fare. Really good waiter came over several times to refill coffee and asked more than once if there was anything he could get the chef to make for me. My colleague had a fresh omelette (after his full English!) and said it was delicious. My pre-made food was very good, all cooked nicely, and the coffee tasted fresh.
Will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.
S. K.
Excellent hotel, but staff at the door look at anyone who is dressed casual like they have come out of a coal cave and don't belong here.
Noted the response below and would like to point out that staff should take some diversity training.
s. k.
Let me put this very clearly.
The hotel comes with lots of qualifications. One being they will charge you for breakfast on weekends and wont care to explain that to you while checking in.
Housekeeping is shoddy. One has to call them everyday to remind them to stock up the bate essentials such as water and toiletries. Even tea and coffee is not refilled till you beg them to. Tea cups are not changed everyday and unwashed cups continue to show their sorry faces to the guests in their rooms.
I am stuck here for another four days ( reason being business plus all bookings prepaid); but guys, dont fall into the trap of booking at this hotel for longer durations. It’s simply not worth it at this price point to say the least.
(PA: In all fairness, hotel did resolve my issues but only after I brought it to their notice and fought about it and not of their own volition)
F. G. Y.
Me&my partner stayed here last night beautiful hotel and room. We came for a special occasion. Nothing was to much trouble.
They had done the room lovely for us and late check out complimentary. Will defently be returning.
Thank you.
A. H.
This is a really nice hotel with some pleasant staff that is let down by some massively trashy customers.
I am guessing that a group of lads all chip in a tenner, then smuggle each other into the room and then act the 'big man'. It's very bizarre that one of the more expensive hotels in the city has such a high ratio of guests with poor etiquette.
This is really frustrating because one of the assumptions of paying more for a nicer hotel is that the experience will be calmer but that wasn't the case here on the weekend.
The noise on our floor was unacceptable and multiple times, security had to sort the noise disruption out.
Perhaps we just got unlucky, but there were so many guests that were acting in a 'OMG - we are here for just one night - let's make the most of it, cue photoshoot here, Instagram me here' etc that something tells me it's unfortunately a common occurrence.
I suppose during the working week it has a nicer feel. It is a shame as overall, the hotel building is very pleasant and the breakfast area is lovely.
If you're visiting Birmingham on a weekend, I would recommend the Marriott in the Mailbox, which seemed to have a much more mature and calm clientele.
H. R.
The brunch was amazing, very good selection, staff very attentive. They heard my friend congratulating my belated birthday and they got me surprised with a cute chocolate tray.
C. o.
Really nice hotel, 10 pound off site parking, decent gym, little outside bar area. Though the elevators are slow and some are always being repaired, the breakfast is extremely overpriced, and the bar prices are double from everywhere else on the sane street. Overall it's nice, clean, and in a great nightlife area. Though it's a bit noisy even 16 floors up with broad street right below.
L. B.
Service was great. Room was lovely. Pool area was so relaxing.loved the restaurant food although we waited a while longer but the staff were helpful and very welcoming. Beautiful building too.
M. O.
Had a very welcoming stay. Staff were amazing, went out of their way to help me find a restaurant of my taste, managed to go get me last ast minute reservation on my behalf. I stayed in a king club room which was spacious and clean. Beautiful veiws across Birmingham city, through length full floor to ceiling windows. Room comprised of:
39” flat-screen TV
Individually controlled heat and a r conditioning
Hair dryer
Robes and slippers
Tea and coffee facilities
Minifridge
In-room safe
Bathroom with shower
Offers access to club room, where they have complementary drinks and a wide range of breakfast on offer.
S. R.
Good 4 star hotel. Some excellent wait staff at breakfast, gluten free menu available. Watch if signing bar bills on the room, had a couple credited to me while i was elsewhere for dinner. But sorted out without too much fuss.
T. M.
The staff never failed to greet and smile to each of their guests. Service is good and staff are pleasant and warm. These rooms without doubt will be the best hotel room we are ever likely to stay in. Its by far the best property i have ever been to.
l. m.
Fabulous hotel, would definitely recommend! The rooms are modern, clean and have brilliant views. The pool area is spacious and the gym is well equipped. The bar area was great to relax and the room service was brilliant. The hotel location is excellent as it is within walking distance of most of Birminghams main attractions in the area. The only problem with the hotel is it doesn't have any parking. The air conditioning was also quite loud during the night however, that said we will definitely be returning!
C. W.
Stayed here for 2 weeks with work. I cannot recommend it high enough. Not sure how much it was but the service was very good. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable but most important it was very clean! Location of the hotel was good, took around 10 mins to walk to the train station. There was alot of roadworks and building work going on in the area though.
C. M.
Highly recommend. We came here about 6 months ago and didn't have the best time (hair in food).
We were served my Jade (the manager) and she was so lovely. We couldn't ask for better service!
My opinion has dedicatedly changed if this place and I can't wait to be back. Highly recommend, especially if you're looking for a friendly, exquisite and professional experience. <3
G. M.
Decent place, staff are very friendly and go above and beyond. Place is let down by outdated rooms. Decor needs redoing and spa is very poor. Pool is just one same depth all the way and jacuzzi is tiny. The spa needs a serious revamp if this place wants to charge you so much spa needs to improve a lot.
M. H.
Spent a night here with the husband because we were getting ready to go to a friends wedding the next day that was at the Old Library. It is the Hyatt, what can I say? Lovely plush bath robes, slippers included, fluffy towels and firm mattress with blackout curtains. Throughly enjoyed my rest here. Though there was no parking except for valet, we lucked up and parked on the street. Hotel location was close to the mailbox which is a mall area and just 10-15 min walk to the main mall.
I. P.
Excellent location, not far from New Street train station (about ten minutes either walking or on cab), close to the old center with vibrant lifestyle around the canals, plenty of bars and nice restaurants!
Also extremely convenient for the conference center, being actually linked directly through a bridge, priceless in bad weather!
The rooms are nice and clean, comfortable beds and some of the are having excellent view over the city!
You can take advantage of the hotel's pool, sauna or steam room and in the evenings you can visit their own pub if you don't feel adventurous and walk a few yards for other options!
Talking a bit about price, I don't think is too expensive, I would situate it in the mid price range, slightly above the cheapest places around it but the level of service justify the price, from my point of view!
Overall I would recommend the hotel, stayed there in a few occasions and will definitely go back!
R. D.
Lovely hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. Lovely views from our window. Food is absolutely gorgeous.
S. M. L.
Staff in all area's where professional, silver service was acceptable. If you are lucky enough to stay on one of the upper most floors as I was, the view is totally stunning.
Buffet style cooked breakfast was good, as was the continental selection. There where lots of staff to take care of us too.
Bedroom, was large and well stocked with extras for most requirements
Over all, I am pleased with my stay and would happily book again.
T. M.
Any requests we asked for were promptly taken care of. All of the hotel employees were the friendliest we've encountered. Hotel is quite a ways off from the train station. The location of the hotel in my opinion was not particulary …
J. P.
I was in a wheelchair when I stayed at this hotel, having broken my ankle 10 days prior. The staff could not have been more helpful. Customer service was absolutely first class and I would recommend this hotel to wheelchair uses as well as abled body people.
R. T.
Room service throughout our stay was more than 5 star. The Hotel Manager Mr Mohamed Badra was very accommodating and extremely helpful during our time here. The staff couldn't do more in making us feel welcome. The rooms were faultless and location and atmosphere was excellent.
p. p.
Good hotel. Room was clean but old. Toilet did not flush properly. Had to flush it 4 times Everytime. Even though I am a member they charged me 45 pounds to check-in at 10 am. Never had this issue at SPG
C. F.
My stay at the Hyatt Regency was lovely and the customer service was excellent.
Cristos who served us was extremely helpful and went the extra mile for us as well as the waitress in the Regency Lounge on the Saturday Night. They thoroughly went out of there way for us. The view was magnificent and the room was lovely and spacious. I wish we had more time to stay in the spa.
D. P.
This is how a hotel should be.
The whole place was clean and modern and well kept, I agree with some reviews that a few bits are dated but it does not spoil your stay.
We had a regency club room and this is well worth the extra, the club lounge was amazing and we commented that we could easily spend all day in there gazing out over the canal and city.
Sandra who worked in the lounge saw us at breakfast each time in there and was a shining star on our stay and a true credit to the hotel- could not do enough for us , we got engaged and she surprised us with a bottle of bubbly in our room and chocolates- she chatted to us and even showed us the suites on the level above which we hope to book next year. Johnathon Mellor also worth a shout for sorting a check in issue out quickly and professionally- our new favourite hotel in Birmingham- well done Hyatt
M. A.
Hotel is fine and to a good standard unfortunately parking spaces are incredibly limited even taking into account it's in the City Centre. Additionally need more receptionists given the size of the hotel, when we arrived there were only 2.
G. H.
A lovely hotel in a brilliant location in central Birmingham. I managed to get the last car park space and my friend who arrived after me was sent packing, driving around the city to find a spot. Other than that, the staff were great and the rooms clean and spacious. The breakfast was excellent.
p. h.
It has been a while since I visited last and they have done a wonderful refurbishment. The place looks fresher and the feel is more modern. Staff are still friendly, rooms are still comfortable and the breakfast is still excellent.
A. M.
We Had a fantastic stay for my wife's birthday. We stayed on the 24th floor. We really enjoyed the regency club. We enjoyed the spa, it's got everything. This hotel is amazing we have stayed here before and will do in the future.
E. S.
The room is confy but not spacious. It is impossible to have a shower without flooding the bathroom due to poor fashion design. You must be prepared to wait on long lines before being seated for breakfast. Overall seems to be missing some of the very basics.
M. B.
Lovely place. we came here for our 10year wedding anniversary last Christmas time and it was magical.
Only one fault, we got locked out of our room a few times, I think we had a dodgy door or door card.
J. W.
Stayed here on a business trip and was amazed at the value. Got a deal on a King room which turned out to be really spacious with a massive bed! Only stayed for 1 night but all the important needs were met in a good TV and good aircon. Room service menu was excellent value and cheaper than similar hotels I've stayed in previously. Very easy walk to shops and offices into city centre in less than 5 mins. Staff all friendly and efficient, just be warned the wait for the lifts can take a few minutes at peak times :)
A. F.
Clean room and spacious rooms. Very friendly stuff. Amazing facilities: swimming pool, sauna and decentish gym (above average hotel standard but not as good as dedicated gym). My room features good views of Birmingham. Hotel makes sure guests are quiet and even limits the TV volume to a certain level.
L. W.
Nice hotel, direct bridge access into the ICC which is great if you're all dressed up for an evening event there and the weather is poor.
Hotel is just starting to show its age a bit here and there, and half the lifts weren't working which meant ling waits at busy times; a bit disappointing given the premium price.
M. G. (. G.
Very accomodating Hotel. The Door Staff - front of house are the best I've encountered anywhere in the world. Those fellas are the first people you encounter approaching the Hotel and are a credit to the place. First impressions count and I'm happy to say it's consistent all the way through your stay with all the staff.
G. N.
Very nice clean modern hotel with polite staff and high standards of cleanliness. Just needs to keep an eye on the queues in the bar - at one point 20 people queueing at 11pm with one member of staff on - so got bored and went to bed and drank the beer from the minibar instead. Unfirtunately no wine available. And at checkout at 10.30 10 people in the queue and one staff member on. Where is the management watching things like this?
D.
I really rate this hotel. Very well organised. You can check out on your phone to avoid the crowd. There is a sense of occasion in the main foyer due to the high glass ceiling. . It has a very good bar too that was buzzing with atmosphere . Staff are professional and efficient
S. Q.
Came here for an overnight spa break. Had a massage and facial which were amazing. Room service and amenities were great too. Would have given 5 stars if it hadn't been for the teeny 3 person jacuzzi which was rather underwhelming. Would deffo come for the treatments again!
H. M.
Pretty nice restaurant and bar!
S. B.
Lovely hotel and close to everything. Staff friendly and helpful.
A. A.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt. First class customer service. Complimentary water, diffused with lemon or cucumber in the lobby. I filled up my water bottle on a regular basis. The room was on the 19th floor, quiet, view of all the construction out of the front of the hotel, it didn't spoil my break. Leisure facilities great - swim, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Plenty shops - 10 mins walk. So many restaurants everywhere. I did not use the bar, restaurant or gym. I would stay here again.
S. E.
We had an excellent stay for two nights here. The check in was quick and very smooth, the rooms were clean, well presented and spacious. In the mornings we enjoyed a good choice of breakfasts from friendly staff. We also.used the pool which was a really pleasent experience. The location was great for visiting places aroubd the centre and the view from our window on the 15th floor we all really enjoyed.

I had expected more from Hyatt. We booked club king room with club lounge access for my birthday. My husband mentioned that during booking (“It’s my wife’s birthday...”)
They prepared birthday decorations in the room which was nice, thank you, but the birthday card was addressed to my husband, which is fine though a little funny.
A cot for baby was not prepared even though he requested it in the booking.
The room was very cold. Well, entire hotel was cold so we gave up going to the pool because we didn’t want to get sick although kids were looking forward to it.
We set the air conditioner in the room up to 30 degrees but it was still soooo cold but by that time our baby was asleep so we didn’t want to call anyone. I had to wake up so many times during the night to check if the baby had duvet on her.
Also there was this annoying noise whole night from air vent near the door, and it sounded like somebody was trying to open the door. So I went to check on the door several times during the night and couldn’t sleep well anyway. Not relaxing birthday weekend at all...
Now it’s morning and we all have runny nose.
Also we had a great view of construction site from our window...Well to be fair, if you try to look left you can see the famous library. I recommend you request canal view if it’s possible.
Upside was the lounge - they had good selection of food and drink.
P. C.
Rooms are average, pretty much what you would find in any city hotel. The corridors and interiors have seen better days. However, the breakfast is top notch and the hotel probably has the best pool when compared with other city hotels.
A. A.
Excellent base for all you wish to enjoy in Birmingham. Lovely friendly staff especially the receptionists
J. B.
Well located hotel in Birmingham; attended for work event/overnight stay. Pleasant atrium area and well set up conference facilities, room clean with city view (unfortunately mostly building work currently). Breakfast good. Mass catered dinner for event nothing special but better than average as these things go so overall a very positive experience.
M. R.
Can't comment on the rooms as I did not stay overnight. I visited the hotel for a Birmingham, Solihull & Sandwell Jazz Festival performance and would certainly return. The event was held in the airy and spacious lobby with pleasant decor. We ordered drinks and were served biscuits on the side. Staff were very pleasant and helpful when we arrived early, pointing out the best place to sit for the event. There was no pressure to buy food and drinks which is not always the case in some establishments.

It was fantastic experience visiting Hyatt Recency Birmingham.
Went there to attend a day long conference.
All went well. Especially Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Food quality and taste was nice.
One thing, they must have a cash machine in their lobby.
T. D.
Great spot. We took two rooms for our family of 5 and it was a great location to stay on Birmingham. Fab pool and gym, helpful staff, clean. Happy to recommend.
S. H.
Clean and functional. Nice spa area. Slightly dated and lacking in character. Decent size rooms with a great view. Slightly disappointing bar food. Maybe I’m just fussy!
B. W.
Excellent location, next to conference venues, and short walk to restaurants in Chinatown. Great amenities too, love the indoor pool/spa/sauna/steam facilities. The room is large & clean, great city view.
D. T.
Great location in the heart of the city. Nice views from the room. Comfortable beds and well appointed bathrooms. All of the staff were helpful and a busy breakfast area was dealt with very well by plenty of attentive waitstaff. A very pleasant place to stay.
M. H.
Great city centre hotel. Tasteful decor. Friendly and efficient staff. The pool and spa facilities are very nice, although the pool was quite cold. Breakfast was good. Rooms were comfortable and well equipped.
M. A.
The staff were very friendly and polite. The atmosphere pleasant. I will go there again . The Area for tea was very clean and also the l
الفندق رائع وجميل والخدمة جدا ممتازة.
L. S.
Beautiful hotel with fantastic breakfast and comfy beds. Check in process is really slow. So much clorine in the spa the jacuzzi burns your eyes and not enough staff on at breakfast
S. B.
Staff at the reception didn’t explain you need to pay deposit at front, although that was about £600 Just deposit woww, They should sort this before arriving But everything was Perfect Specially 22 level floor Premium room with amazing glass view !!!
J. S.
Appears to be a lovely venue. Was not a guest but a event visitor. Clients had not provided hot refreshments for their event. But the hotel was accommodating, providing me with hot beverage free of charge.
H. T.
Good City centre hotel in walking distance from the train station I was in Birmingham for meetings one of the meetings was held in the Hyatt the meeting rooms are well set out and confatuble. The hotel rooms are a decent size the bar and lounge area is a really nice pace to sit and relax lots of open spaces.
My only issue with all city centre hotel a big mark up on the price of drinks, so if you go out of the front door 2 minutes walk you will find a few decent bars at half the price.
T. S.
Noisey even though I was on canal side which is right next to club which goes on all night it felt like. Room itself was nice. Staff are friendly and efficient. Nice ambience around the hotel lobby and seating areas. Just marked down for terrible lack of sleep! Which is main point of a hotel!
C. R.
We stayed in the Hyatt birmingham a couple of times and are going back next week as this is the best hotel we have stayed in. The staff are amazing and can't do enough for you. We booked a club king and that allows you acsess into the VIP lounge from 5pm to 7pm for free drinks and nibbles and also cold breakfast in the morning. Great views from up in the lounge and treated exceptionally well. We got sent to 2 wrong rooms at check in that wasn't really a problem but the manager insisted on giving us a discount on our room that was gratefully received. Looking forward to our return.
P. T.
The absolute pinnacle of hospitality, easily the best hotel we've ever stayed in. We didn't want to leave. The rooms are luxurious and the staff are highly attentive. A superb location indeed.
A. H.
Very central and comfy bed
T. B.
The rooms are incredible. Also the bar and restaurant are well laid out and decorated with great food. The location is brilliant close to town but not too close. You can walk it in a couple of minutes but equally it's nice and quiet.
K. B.
Amazing rooms, really nice spa area spacial. Friendly staff, felt welcoming, only flaw was food was over priced by alot, would defiantly stay again.
B. B.
Large, clean room. Extremely pleasant and diligent staff at reception and at the bar. Excellent views across the city - it's a shame that there are currently building works taking place - it would have been beneficial to know this when booking.
A very good visit.
G. Y.
Had arranged to meet up here for breakfast with an old friend. Well, they've certainly spruced the place up since our last visit - most impressive. Great service, excellent buffet, and most of all, very good coffee. Faultless, and a brilliant example of what breakfast should be.
J. S.
Very nice hotel. Nothing too special, but worth the price. Wasn't too impressed with breakfast as no one came to take a drinks order from me the whole 45 minutes I was sat at breakfast, so had to have some water back up in my room from the tap. But all in all very clean and a great view from the room.
P. B.
Not so much a hotel as a town in itself. Quality and prices to match. I was there for a conference at the ICC so very busy and top rack rates. Close by are lots of cheap bars, eateries and night spots. You can have the best of both worlds.
J. R.
Top place. I stay here once a year for an event next door at Symphony Hall. Absolutely no problems at all with the accommodation. Decent room rates are a bonus of course, and the hotel is located right amongst the action.
M. K.
I am a regular local visitor to the Hotel.
It's great that it's reopened and Busy tonight all the staff work so hard to make this by far the finest hotel in Birmingham.
O. L. C.
Very helpful staff, excellent food, good room. But not nice to demand 120 pounds in advance for meals. Light indicators in lift very weak, so difficult to see the floors it will stop at.
A. S.
Had a lovely meal prior to a show at Symphony Hall. The food was delicious and the wine very nice. The serving staff were delightful, very friendly, attentive and helpful. Highly recommended.
A. G.
Although we only stayed here one night it was a lovely experience, great bed and room.
Friendly staff made our night very enjoyable.
The location is excellent, would definitely choose to stay here again.
A. H.
Stayed here over Christmas, lovely hotel with everything you need. Pool area was clean and relaxing. Bar area was cosy. Rooms well a good size and catered well for a family.
J. H.
I cannot thank the reception and housekeeping staff enough for helping me out this weekend. They have truly gone above and beyond the call of duty to assist me, exceeding my expectations in every way. It’s a beautiful hotel and I look forward to returning in the future.
J. G.
Great budget hotel. Nice and clean, well-presented, friendly staff, wide range of facilities and if you're lucky you can get a view overlooking the city. Express checkout is available to speed up the checkout process.
A. M.
Laura at the desk was very helpful. Well prompted and delivered some great customer service to us. We had a few little issues which she dealt with in a professional manner and really helped us out. Would definitely recommend staying there.
J. S.
Great place to stay, central to shops, restaurants and entertainment. Very helpful and friendly staff, rooms very clean and very importantly a comfy bed. Great night sleep. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend.
D. A.
First time staying here, but had a lovely stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and tidy. Pool area just relaxing. Just a great stay.
N. B.
Comfortable room and excellent breakfast - great choice of cooked and continental. Very helpful and friendly staff. Ideally situated for the Arena, Symphony Hall and Convention Centre.
C. W.
Great business hotel. All the amenities including pool, spa, sauna. Everything is spick and span. Loads of plug points beside bed. Knocked off a star because that flat screen TV remote is horrible to use. Hotel TV system is so slow and unresponsive that it makes changing channels horrible.
C. K.
Went here for Afternoon Tea a few months back. It was one of the best Afternoon Teas i have ever had. There was a great selection of food on the tea. I thought there wasn't going to be enough but i couldn't eat it all. We had a number of them between 12 people and the service was great. The environment was lovely and peaceful. Well worth a visit.
Obviously being the Hyatt its going to be expensive though, but good quality.
S. L.
Attended a work related conference. Nice food available. The conference seating area was a bit cramped & we were eating in the same place for convenience so not the most comfortable. No tables & trying to eat with plates on our laps.
C. C.
Very impressive hotel but don't follow the parking referrals on the Hyatt website. I went to Q-Park Brindley Place and was greeted by an rude obnoxious man behind his tiny screen. He told us to wait and we waited for 10 minutes at the gate then we buzzed in again and was rudely told "If you don't want to park here, go back to the Hyatt" and other drivers behind were also shocked by this interaction. Three cars backed out of the Gate and we left to head back to the Hyatt.
Me and my family was shocked by our first interaction in Birmingham in a very long time. We did a quick google search around Hyatt area and found Car Park 22, and we decided to give finding a car park one last shot before we left our cars on the street overnight. We arrived at the gate and seen a very friendly face at the entrance. He explained that we book online once we find our parking spot and guided us from start to finish. It was extremely secure parking and the best thing was that it was only one road away from the Hyatt.
My message to Hyatt management, please fix your parking recommendations. This would have been five stars had our first introduction to Birmingham not been with a bad parking recommendation.
D. B.
Stayed one night on the VIP ticket. Very enjoyable experience. Staff very discreet and anxious to help. Facilities far better than anticipated. Topped off with an example of good old fashion honesty. My partner had lost a sentimental piece of jewellry with no idea where it had been lost. Was found in the foyer and returned to a grateful owner.
M. A.
Nice hotel Best for the ICC exhibition grounds in Birmingham they even have a connecting bridge to the ICC, breakfast is excellent. I had a small problem with my room and they offered a 15% as compensation which I valued because they care about their customers.. Train to airport only about a 10 min walk pics show view from the room and entrance
L. L.
Stayed here a few times. Went on saturday during a busy period as the German market was on.
We went into the bar which was extremely over priced and they didn't have any of their pumps working so had to drink bottled beers, there were two staff serving and one couldn't understand and didn't know what he was doing so had to keep stopping to ask the other bar attendant. ( should of prepared in advance knowing how busy it was going to be.)
The room had a great view of broad street but that was it.
I have stayed in the crowne plaza on the opposite side of broad street on more occasions and the room was much better and well under the price that this place charges.
Don't think I will be returning or recommending.

Hyatt Regency Hotel Broad St Birmingham : my outstanding Experience
It was drizzling and all around me was building work going on. I headed to the Granit Stone Desk outside the Hyatt. I asked the man behind the desk if he would tell me where I could get a Taxi back Home. He said don’t worry love I will call a taxi for you. So he ordered a Black Cab for me and I came home Safely.
This was an Awesome, Exclusive and outstanding performance of very High Professional delivery of Customer Service I received yesterday.
Many Thanks
A. H.
Nice hotel but not worth the price we payed per room.On arrival carpet was dirty needs go hoovering tables in bar not clean. Nice room over looking canals but again carpet needs good hoovering and black hairs in shower...
K. W.
Very nice rooms. The Pub and restaurant on premises are good. The location is fantastic, close to train stations, lots of very good restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again.
P. L.
Nice and clean hotel, we were offered a high floor room which negated the busy road noise. I knocked a star off because the lifts are noisy if you are adjacent to them and the room above was being worked on from 0900am.
T. S.
I cannot praise this establishment enough!..the rooms are immaculate..the overall service and attention to detail is absolutely amazing..i will never stay anywhere else when i visit Birmingham..
Jay and the reception team as a whole cannot do enough for you!
The restaurant staff again are amazing too..
Keep up the excellent work guys!!
We WILL be back :-)
K. M.
The Hyatt Regency Birmingham was centrally located, right next to some great restaurants right along the canal. Unfortunately due to the road work that I was told will be going on for the next two years, it can be tricky navigating the area. Several of my co-workers got lost on their way. Perhaps when booking the hotel should send along a helpful guide for those driving on the current road blockages. The hotel was very clean, staff helpful, food tasty, pub robust. The only constructive criticisms are that the wifi is contatanly cutting out and the showers are open air and have that singular horrible glass door that always allows water to leak out so you're always dealing with clean up afterwards. Don't let that put you off though, it is a great stay, just minor room for improvement!
P. W.
Only attended a seminar in one of the meeting rooms, but a pleasant experience all the same. Only point of note is that the signage to the meeting rooms was a little ambiguous and required assistance from a member of staff.
C. b. 1.
I had a gret time. Love the pool. The food was fantastic. And the room was luxurious
Overall 10 out of 10
I. A.
Very nice hotel, the view from the higher floors is very impressive. The hotel is usually pretty busy but it copes very well and has a bustling efficient vibe.
S. S.
Great hotel. We love staying here when visiting Birmingham. The rooms are big and very comfortable. The gym is fully equipped and location is perfect.
S. W.
A great hotel. We stayed in one of the suites on the 20th floor. Floor to ceiling windows with a fantastic view over the canal. The staff on the door, front desk, and in the bar/restaurant were all extremely helpful with any query. By stay 3in a suite we got use of the exclusive regency club on the 22nd and 23rd floors, where early evening they served complimentary drinks and canapés. I really recommend and will definitely stay here next time I'm in Birmingham.
D. R.
Nice and clean ,service erratic, breakfast poor ,staff very nice
z. a.
Fantastic, great customer service, were given the wrong room they promptly arrange adviser and offered us a free breakfast. Lovely decor and clean tidy open rooms.
S. R.
All about the breakfast !!
Stayed a few times at the hotel, but I’m reviewing the breakfast here if you fancy a treat head over and get spoilt !
The service is 5 star and the menu is amazing best kept secret in Brum!
P. P.
Great Hotel, rate 10/10. I dont understand why isnt a 5 stars hotel. Location perfect at the begining of broad street, very elegant room with views over city center and a relaxing very good spa. I am very pleasant with my choice for Birmingham
S. F.
The hotel was very nice. Lovely presentation and immaculate too. The staff I encountered on reception were professional but not very warm or friendly so felt the service was a little lacking in that aspect.
L. B.
Stunning hotel with great facilities pool, jacuzzi and sauna and stream clean bright rooms with a great view. A little expensive to eat and drink but the room price was quite reasonable would definitely recommend and would stay again without a doubt.
F. D.
A pleaser for experienced travellers, the Hyatt regency Birmingham meets high hospitality standards. Design, space, very well trained staff, popular bar, Generous toiletries and a stunning pool with attractive lounge chairs, sauna and steam rooms. Improve the scrambled eggs and the fresh juice of the breakfast bar and it will be world class.
H. M.
Room was lovely, view was nice and spa facilities were lovely. However I was requested to pay a higher price than what I booked it at and room came with a happy birthday plate which confused me and my other half.
B. J. (.
Nice standard of the room, bathrooms dont match 4* rating at all. Good service for the price, breakfast ok, very friendly and ptofessional staff. In general I recommend this hotel bathrooms really dont match nowadays standards, especially in comparison with continental hotels.
M. D.
We had a lovely weekend,we were in Regency club and everything was first class .we were very impressed with the staff Maria.jessica and Sandra. We had a meal in the Aria restaurant which was excellent and particularly the staff, a young man from Italy and a young lady from Rumania a credit to the Hyatt . We cant wait to go background
M. N.
The hotel is amazing but lack of parking brings it down slightly with no suggestions. Luckily we found a great secure and reliable car park one street away called Car Park 22. Regardless it was a fairly positive stay apart from that.
E. S. K.
Excellent service and clean spacious rooms make this hotel a great place to stay. It's an easy walk to the train station. The gym, spa, and restaurant and pub are all great as well.
s. c.
13 of us had afternoon tea at the Hyatt Regency today for my mums Birthday.
We were greeted by a lovely waitress Tazmin.
She was very helpful and patient with the requirements of our party.
The afternoon Tea was lovely, fresh and beautifully presented and We were all amazed at such creativity that went into the children's afternoon tea.
Thank you to the members of the hyatt for a lovely afternoon.
P. Y.
Excellent hotel, fantastic service, with great amenities. All in all, an enjoyable experience. Wish we could've tried all the facilities at our disposal but, would defo recommended this hotel!
V. Z.
3rd time staying here. Love the pool. Very Few hotels have pool as big. Breakfast is good too. Just wish the tea was as good as Paris Hyatt regency.
J. H.
Wonderful views over Birmingham from our room on the 20th floor. Very pleasant staff, room service available 24 hours. In room mini bars are priced extremely high, but that's not unusual. Perfectly situated a very short walk from the Barclaycard Arena, the Symphony hall, The ICC, and also The Bullring.
L. L. W.
The staff were very polite and friendly and will stay again.
N. E.
Very comfortable beds... Quiet hotel. And polite and friendly staff. The food was great, all served via room service. All round good experience
S. K.
I’ve stayed at some pretty plush hotels but what counts is the service and friendliness of staff Hyatt Regency is a luxury five-star hotel in the heart of Birmingham combining retro chic style interiors with modern panache. I enjoyed immaculate service, a luxurious spa and gym and despite the formal setting, everyone is friendly and down-to-earth, which makes the experience feel extra special. The concierge deserve a special mention particularly Maverick, John and Craig for the extra effort they put in to make you feel welcome, they are sublimely courteous and greet you by name as you pass; their local knowledge is exemplary of the finest bars and restaurants Birmingham has to offer.
I have joined as a member of the Amala spa and gym, which has recently undergone an extensive makeover and upgrade pushing it above and beyond what most gyms and spas have of offer in central Birmingham. The first thing I noticed is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff particularly Jan the manager and Kinder the receptionist always smiling and go the extra mile to make your visit as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Facilities abound, but those that stand out include the Club & Spa which has an state-of-the art gym, a training room for a sauna, steam room and pool with Jacuzzi. There’s a shadowy, magazine-laden pre-treatment relaxation room and ample relaxation areas pool side.
In conclusion a mercilessly resplendent and highly polished retro chic hotel overlooking ICC located in bustling Birmingham near The Mailbox and Bullring shopping complexes. Can definitely recommend this as my number One choice.
S. M.
Great room and service. Nice pool and gym. However staff working at spa were a little rude and not very helpful. Would recommend for a luxury night
V. S.
I find it so difficult to give a 5*, I have given a lot of 4*'s but when it comes to 5* my fingers just freeze! Everything needs to be not just beyond exceptional but personal also. If you can't make me feel special you don't deserve a 5* but stay at Hyatt Regency, Birmingham was an experience in itslef. Stayed there over weekend with my wife. I have stayed in few hotels in Birmingham but this was by far the best hotel I stayed in.
Thanks George for making our stay so pleasant and special. I know you had your challenges but glad you overcome and it only made us feel more privileged. Special mention of Mohamad and Simon too who showed genuine interest in what we needed. Thanks a lot.
Now few things about the room: We booked King Room with View. First we got city view, won't recommend it right now due to all the construction going around the hotel. City View is east facing and can have a really nice morning view, if you are lucky! We requested to move to canal view, personally I liked it more than city view. Canal view is west facing and can have a pretty nice view too.
You can see both city view and canal view in the pics I posted.
The hotel itself is about 7-10mins walk from New Street Station and just off Broad Street, perfect location for shopping or food.
Did I enjoy my stay at Hyatt Regency? YES!
Would I stay here again? ABSOLUTELY!
Would I recommed this hotel for anyone planning to stay in Birmingham? DEFINITELY!
R. S.
Excellent 4 star hotel with great comfort and comfortable surroundings. Recommended
J. G.
Staff really helpful. Best nights sleep away from home. Breakfast offered huge selection. The pool was a hit with our grand daughter.
T. S.
Very good hotel. Unfortunately always surrounded by construction. Never saw all elevators work. That said, room is great and hotel staff very nice.
S. M.
Stayed at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham whilst attending a gig at the Symphony Hall. The hotel is extremely convenient for this with a covered walkway connecting the two buildings. Very modern rooms maintained to a very high standard. Didn't really make use of any of the facilities (restaurant, bar etc) so can't comment on these. There is a lot of construction going on in the centre of Birmingham, so navigating around is quite tricky (particularly if you are on foot). Parking is convenient with Paradise Circus multistorey car park just 3 minutes walk away & priced at £10 per 24hrs.
S. T.
New property conveniently located on Park Street. Rooms are well furnished, clean and lot of light!! Many great restaurants in walking distance. Would recommend to anyone visiting Birmingham
D. V.
Staff were very professional and courteous throughout my visit. Facilities are to a very high standard and the décor is what you would expect it to be for a hotel of this standing. Very pleasant experience, one that I hope to repeat very soon.
L. S.
Room and staff were lovely. Club room has tasty food options and the view over the city is a bonus. Walking distance to the shops
L. C.
Clean rooms. Spacious. Disappointed with breakfast offering. Signage to reception could be improved at main entrance.
T. B.
Decent sized and pleasant room. Comfortable bed and good overall environment.
Really well located for central Birmingham only minutes walk from main cental shopping and entertainment areas. Supper convenient for the ICC - connected directly by a cover walkway bridge.
Bar tends to be very crowded at the weekends.
B. M.
Went for a preview of the refurbishment of the spa which is absolutely beautiful, with some interesting treatments on offer. Well worth considering if you want pampering or a luxurious gym workout.
s. M.
Excellent level of service and cleanliness, very impressed with all aspects of my experience!
Helpful but not pushy staff, quiet rooms, lovely bed, great breakfasT
S. M.
Best hotel in Birmingham. Stay here every year and always look forward to it. The service is great, bedrooms are good. Bar is the best part. Location also perfect.
J. H.
Very nice and clean... the only problem is NO PARKING
B. G.
I rented a room for 9 days and shot a film here. The professionalism of the staff was impeccable and everyone, no matter how lowly or significant their role within the hotel seemed to bend over backwards to accomodate. It has to lose a star for its pricing, which frankly, is often extortionate, but if you have the money, you're looking to treat your girlfriend or your partner, there is no better place in Birmingham in my experience. Highly recommended. Big, clean rooms and full floor to ceiling windows ooze class. It's a pity the wifi costs are so over priced. Views from the upper rooms are superb.
j. m.
Excellent hotel with good facilities including a swimming pool and spa, breakfast is a little expensive but you can get a good full English nearby for less than £5. The bar is lively in the evenings with a good atmosphere.
K. M.
Nice Hotel. Good location. Just behind Hyatt there is Canal ride. Lot of restaurants especially Indian nearby. Near to Brindleys for a walk or food.
D. E.
My wife and I only stay here when we travel to Birmingham whether that's business or for pleasure. Excellent food and spa and pool facility. And the staff are exceptional.
M. D.
Not all lifts working again. Breakfast service wasn't that good by bar staff great in evening. Lovely concierge and security guy. Rooms nice and great for ICC
S. P.
Absolutely brilliant experience and will definitely going back soon the pool and sauna and steamroom and jacuzzi were fantastic and all the staff we're amazing and easily approachable and the room was luxurious well done all
C. H.
As expected, clean, tidy, and pretentious. Stayed for our wedding anniversary, but from our experience, not obviously focussed on customer satisfaction. A pleasant stay but would not return.
S. S.
Excellent stay, staff where fantastic and only to happy to help, spa very relaxing, room was clean and great views, well recommend
J. L.
Room was fantastic, facilities good and staff helpful. Christmas dinner was ok, roasts weren't very roasted, but was for 200 people, so I'll let them off!
J. C.
Fantastic place. Staff can't help you enough to make sure your stay is a good one. Highly recommended.
V. T.
Excellent Customer service and very clean fresh environment 👌
c. D.
The function room was nice and clean and well set out, the staff were great and very helpful! The room was nice but I only had one of the cheaper ones! Service was great around
D. L.
Nice hotel. Don't bother with the breakfast at £18.95. No veg option and a poor selection. Very overpriced. Go nextdoor to Weather spoons where you get a better choice and more.
G. F.
Great place to stay nice staff giving me a birthday present great view and a quiet night sleep. Have a great gym and swimming pool they also have a gentleman club quite expensive but worth every penny
M. W.
Second time we came to stay. Had a good time and made good use of the pool and sauna. Room was high quality as expected and service very forthcoming
S. H.
The hotel is very nice
However service at breakfast is very poor
Lack of urgency
The staff at reception and the bar were excellent
d. a.
Staff friendly and ever ready to assist you.
Rooms well kept
Location is perfect. Gives opportunity to city centre
Good meals.
Would stay again on next visit to Birmingham
D. H.
Nice large rooms, quiet at night. Great views from higher floors. Attentive staff. Very good location in city centre with covered bridge to Symphony Hall. Loved it.
s. d.
Just the most fantastic hotel ever. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms luxurious... views magnificent
M. W.
Nice room and decent tea and coffee supplied for our meeting. Reception staff were helpful directing to the meeting rooms
K. V.
Sweaming Pool wasn't well clean enough. Steam Spa was smelly, in dry SPA there was not buket with hot stones.
Massage area and facilities were found clean and acceptable.
I have stood 3 nights; 1 to 3rd Dec. 2016.
The Location is perfect, near by to the most intrested things to be seen in Birmingham.
Lovely breakfast place, (but I'm not sure about the open bufet menu).
Nice bar with comfortable seating places. Smoking area and none smoking area were separated.
Staff were friendly and polite.
Room was clean and HVAC working properly.
T. E.
Great business hotel as it always has been. Literally physically connected to the ICC & Symphony Hall by a bridge. A covered indoor walkway. Regency Club well worth the extra.
D. B.
Lovely hotel friendly staff very helpful very clean room really happy with our stay although parking to stay here is really expensive .
M. O.
had a big enough room with a nice view on the chanels, stayed there in winter and the ac didn't work proper, the room felt like a fridge, got a small heater, so i suppose the problem is known, food was good, the bar was nice, too
K. H.
Had a meeting in one of the conference room at the Hyatt. Very professional and comfortable room that had plenty of space to hold a large meeting. Equipment was supplied to host the presentations and refreshments were on offer.
S. M.
Booked in for the day on Mothering Sunday as had disabled teenager and elderly mother in tow. The facilities were excellent, staff were excellent, food was excellent and the service was great. We absolutely loved it and will recommend to others.
S. F.
I found it not easy to book a room with them by calling them. Overall, the hotel is great. Very clean, spacious, good services and great views.
K. L.
Clean comfortable rooms, pub serves a nice range of beer and wine. Great expression. Street noise at night can be bothersome. Very convenient to ICC conference centre
a. w.
Staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful, we began using the hotel because of its link to the symphony hall but now it is our favourite place to stay in Birmingham.
F. O. R.
Wow !! Loved every minute of my stay, shame it was only one night. The staff were so friendly and helpful and caring. I cant wait to go back 😁
C. J.
Great room really great location close to brindley place and broad st within walking distance of city centre shopping .Only issue with workmen tryibg to fix broken lift outside our room at 8:30 in morning but staff very apologetic offered money off breakfast would definently stay again
D. D.
Lovely hotel with excellent staff in the centre of the city. Unfortunately, also full of loud parties on a Saturday night; even up on the 17th floor, the noise from the street and other guests was too loud to let me get to sleep.
S. B.
Only visited the bar, but what a stunning hotel. Service was impeccable. Only downside was the state of the gents toilets. Urine all over the floor.
M. C.
Can't complain about the room nice and clean great views of the city but my stay was let down by kids running out of control around the pool and spa area
C. B.
Went with friend early January. Nice hotel. Relaxed atmosphere. Staff friendly. Food and cocktails were very nice.
K. W.
Stayed here for one night recently to see Indina Menzel at the Symphony Hall across the road, I had a club room on the 24th floor and it was amazing!
Floor to ceiling windows and a view to die for! Bed was very comfy but the 4am false fire alarm I could have done without!
I had room service breakfast in the room on the day of check out it arrived and was beautifully presented and was hot and as expected!
I also used the aria restaurant in the lobby before I went to the concert for dinner and for £29.50 I had three courses and 2 glasses of Pinot Grigio (excellent value) the service was prompt and the staff seemed to love working there (always a good sign of a good hotel)
If you're in the area for the icc/symphony hall or the REP this is a perfect place to stay and treat yourself!
I. B.
Excellent city centre hotel, large well equipped rooms and friendly staff
m. a.
Brilliant experience
S. R.
After my first night there can say it is really good value for the money.
D. H.
Stayed for a single night on Hyatt points. We arrived late but we're helped by the concierge who managed to squeeze our car in for parking, the front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful. The room was on the 21st floor with fantastic …
S. L.
Attended a work related conference. Nice food available. The conference seating area was a bit cramped & we were eating in the same place for convenience so not the most comfortable. No tables & trying to eat with plates on our laps.
O. S.
Great hotel, great location. Everyone very helpful, rooms clean and food delicious..will be back
w. a.
Very nice hotel and perfect location to explore many things with the mailbox near by and also broad street for entertainment
J. H.
Pravda Bar - Nice ambience. Pricey as it is hotel bar. Great for a chill and a cocktail
a. w.
Staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful, we began using the hotel because of its link to the symphony hall but now it is our favourite place to stay in Birmingham.
D. M.

Can't comment on the rooms as I did not stay overnight. I visited the hotel for a Birmingham, Solihull & Sandwell Jazz Festival performance and would certainly return. The event was held in the airy and spacious lobby with pleasant decor. …

Great location, good quality food & very friendly professional staff. Rooms great, good TVs, swimming pool & spa on the terrace. Great views from the higher floors.

Very corporate but nice. Expensive bar. Loos in the communal areas don't flush properly meaning you often find an unexpected present in the bowl!!

Great location, well maintained hotel and friendly staff. Bar mocktails were however a let down.

Friendly staff, nice setting, great location. Definitely worth paying that little extra to stay on a high floor "a room with a view"

Went for a wedding
Nice venue but parking and location poor
They ran out of valet and parking had to find parking far away and walk that day in high heels and an evening gown which is not ideal
Toad works meat access was difficult this is a randomly located hotel and not very well sign posted so difficult to find despite the use of car sat nav and google maps
Food was delicious and catered by the hotel so plus for that venue a little dark and lobby could do with updating

Stayed for a night as a couple. Room, staff and facilities all fantastic. Best order breakfast to your room or go somewhere else as it is tiny and very busy (also very expensive if not included in your room rate).

Nice breakfast, comfortable room, had the adapter I needed so I could charge my laptop. Got a lot of work done, so very happy

Clean and modern rooms and reception. Nice amenities. Bathrooms are clean and new, but could be more luxurious. Friendly staff.
